Recently, in the field of computer animation, a method for generating motion using deep learning has been studied away from conventional finite-state machines or graph-based methods. The expressiveness of the network required for learning motions is more influenced by the diversity of motion contained in it than by the simple length of motion to be learned. This study aims to find an efficient network structure when the types of motions to be learned are diverse. In this paper, we train and compare three types of networks: basic fully-connected structure, mixture of experts structure that uses multiple fully-connected layers in parallel, recurrent neural network which is widely used to deal with seq2seq, and transformer structure used for sequence-type data processing in the natural language processing field.
Lactiplantibacillus plantarum (L. plantarum) ST was isolated from De'ang pickled tea in Yunnan Province, China. The genomes of strain ST were fully sequenced and analyzed using the PacBio RS II sequencing system. Our previous study has shown that L. plantarum ST is a potential probiotic strain. It had strong tolerance in the simulated artificial gastrointestinal tract, and in the antagonism tests, this strain showed strong antibacterial activity. Therefore, as a probiotic, it may be used in animal breeding. L. plantarum ST genome was composed of 1 circular chromosome and 7 plasmids. The length of the whole genome was 3320817 bp, and the annular chromosome size was 3058984 bp, guanine + cytosine (G ± C) content (%) was 44.76%, which contained 2945 protein-coding sequences (CDS). This study will contribute to a further comprehensive understanding of L. Plantarum ST at the genomic level and provide a theoretical basis for its future application in animal breeding.

Grant-free random access (GFRA) can reduce the access delay and signaling cost, and satisfy the short transmission packet and strict delay constraints requirement in internet of things (IoT). IoT is a major trend in the future, which is characterized by the variety of applications and devices. However, most existing studies on GFRA only consider a single type of device and omit the effect of access delay. In this paper, we study GFRA in multicell massive multipleinput multiple-output (MIMO) systems where different types of devices with various configurations and requirements co-exist. By introducing the backoff mechanism, each device is randomly activated according to the backoff parameter, and active devices randomly select an orthogonal pilot sequence from a predefined pilot pool. An analytical approximation of the average spectral efficiency for each type of device is derived. Based on it, we obtain the optimal backoff parameter for each type of devices under their delay constraints. It is found that the optimal backoff parameters are closely related to the device number and delay constraint. In general, devices that have larger quantity should have more backoff time before they are allowed to access. However, as the delay constraint become stricter, the required backoff time reduces gradually, and the device with larger quantity may have less backoff time than that with smaller quantity when its delay constraint is extremely strict. When the pilot length is short, the effect of delay constraints mentioned above works more obviously.
The containment failure probability due to hydrogen burning during severe accidents proceeding in a low pressure sequence is calculated using Monte Carlo method. The probability distribution functions for this Monte Carlo calculation is obtained from the statistical method. The calculations are performed for Kori unit 2, and the sensitivity studies on the input variables-the amount of hydrogen generated at SFD, cerium diameter, cerium length, oxidation rate at FCI, and the amount of hydrogen generated during MCCI-are also performed. It is revealed that SFD is the main factor in hydrogen generation, but the other sources also cannot be neglected. The containment failure probability due to the hydrogen burning lies within 6% in case of Kori unit 2.

The Korean field mouse, Apodemus peninsulae mitochondrial genome has previously been reported for mice obtained from mainland Korea and China. In this investigation the complete mitochondrial genome sequence for a mouse obtained from Baengnyeong Island (BI) in South Korea was determined using high-throughput whole-genome sequencing for the first time. The circular genome was determined to be 16,268 bp in length. It was found to be composed of a typical complement gene that encodes 13 protein subunits of enzymes involved in oxidative phosphorylation, two ribosomal RNAs, 22 transfer RNAs, and one control region. Phylogenetic analysis involved 13 amino acid sequences and demonstrated that the A. peninsulae genome from BI was more closely grouped with two Korean samples (HQ660074 and JN546584) than the Chinese (KP671850) sample. This study verified the evolutionary status of A. peninsulae inhabiting the BI at the molecular level, and could be a significant supplement to the genetic background.

In this study, we aimed to study carnation italian ringspot virus (CIRV) in Erigeron annuus (L.) Pers. in Bonghwa County, Korea. The collected samples showed mosaic and malformation symptoms. To identify the virus species, we performed high-throughput sequencing, reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction, and cloning. The virus was confirmed to be an unreported species, and therefore we performed genome sequencing of the samples. The complete genome was 4,746 nucleotides in length. The CIRV contained five open reading frames (ORFs), and it showed the typical features of members of the genus Tombusvirus. Phylogenetic analyses revealed that ClRV isolates had the highest nucleotide identities with the CZ isolate (95.89%) from Korea. In recent years, these viruses have sporadically been reported in floral scent and medicinal plants. This research found the first natural host infected with CIRV, and provides baseline information to determine the correlation between weeds and crops.

Porcine epidemic diarrhea (PED) is a highly contagious enteric viral disease of pigs with watery diarrhea in piglets, which ultimately results in huge economic losses in the swine industry. The spike (S) protein plays an important role in viral pathogenicity, tissue tropism, infection, dissemination and the trypsin-dependent proliferation of the PED virus (PEDV). In the present study, we determined the full-length spike (S) gene sequences of twenty PEDV field strains detected in Jeonbuk province in 2022. Phylogenetic analysis showed that the twenty PEDV field strains were classified into G2b group and shared 98.6~100% of nucleotide homology and 97.4~100% of amino acid homology with each other. Mutations of amino acid sequences on the neutralizing epitope of S protein were observed in the twenty field strains compared to the previous vaccine strain SM-98-1 (G1a group). Therefore, these amino acid mutations in the PEDV S protein may result in a new genotype of the virus and highly pathogenic virus, so continuous monitoring is required.

Free vibration of layered conical shell frusta of thickness filled with fluid is investigated. The shell is made up of isotropic or specially orthotropic materials. Three types of thickness variations are considered, namely linear, exponential and sinusoidal along the radial direction of the conical shell structure. The equations of motion of the conical shell frusta are formulated using Love's first approximation theory along with the fluid interaction. Velocity potential and Bernoulli's equations have been applied for the expression of the pressure of the fluid. The fluid is assumed to be incompressible, inviscid and quiescent. The governing equations are modified by applying the separable form to the displacement functions and then it is obtained a system of coupled differential equations in terms of displacement functions. The displacement functions are approximated by cubic and quintics splines along with the boundary conditions to get generalized eigenvalue problem. The generalized eigenvalue problem is solved numerically for frequency parameters and then associated eigenvectors are calculated which are spline coefficients. The vibration of the shells with the effect of fluid is analyzed for finding the frequency parameters against the cone angle, length ratio, relative layer thickness, number of layers, stacking sequence, boundary conditions, linear, exponential and sinusoidal thickness variations and then results are presented in terms of tables and graphs.
ITS DNA sequences of two variants of Pinus spp. having single fasciculate leaf or two to three fasciculate leaves within an individual were analysed in order to determine their origin. Also, the same DNA locus of P. densiflora, P. rigida and P. koraiensis, distributed at the same region together with the OTUs having leaf variations, were analysed to compare with each other. Aligned sequences including ITS1, 5.8S and ITS2 were 580~584 bp in length. The 5.8S region was well conserved among all the OTUs we tested except for P. koraiensis, which has two nucleotide substitutions. The partial ITS1 region upstream of the 5.8S region showed relatively high sequence diversity compare to the ITS2 and has 181~185 bp in length. In this region, the sequences of the two variants were identical to that of P. densiflora. The ITS2 has identical for all OTUs in length and the two variants also have same sequences compare to that of P. densiflora. These two variants and samples of P. densiflora were grouped together in the UPGMA tree with 100% similarity level. The result strongly suggest that these two variants were originated from P. densiflora.
Although Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex strains remain responsible for the majority of diseases caused by mycobacterial infections worldwide, the increase in HIV (human immuno deficiency virus) infections has allowed for the emergence of other non-tuberculous mycobacteria as clinically significant pathogens. M. tuberculosis was detected by two-tube nested polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and non-tuberculous mycobacteria was detected by PCR-restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) with Msp I. Result of niacin test is equal to result of two-tube nested PCR after culture for M. tuberculosis. In this study, acid fast bacilli stain (AFB. stain) >2+ case, Detection of Mycobacteria is similar to result before culture and after culture. AFB. stain <1+ case, result of mycobacteria is distinguished. Conclusionly, these results suggest that identification of mycobacteria must go side by side both culture and PCR for more fast and accuracy.
