  • The purpose of this research is to examine and find solutions with garbage problems in movie theaters for the betterment of pleasant environment to customers. The object of investigation includes three most popular movie theaters in Seoul. Analyzing current status of separating garbage and guidance notice was carried out. Also investigation of awareness on separating garbage and guidance notice has been done. The findings on inquiry are as follows. Customers tend not to separate garbage and guidance notice was not as effective. Also, separate garbage collection was very ineffective especially the food garbage. We carried out investigation on placement of guidance notice regarding recycling bin. We tried to find solutions for this problem and proposed better design. This design is emphasized on the use of particular space only. In addition, this design is focused mainly on one the three movie theaters for integration of identity. Through this design, it ought to provide clean environment and reduces inefficiencies regarding financial and time.

  • We characterize the tight structure of a vertex-accumula-tion-free maximal planar graph with no separating triangles. Together with the result of Halin who gave an equivalent form for such graphs this yields that a tight structure always exists in every 4-connected maximal planar graph with one end.

  • Let A be a Banach algebra and B a semisimple annifilator Banach algebra. Then every homomorphism from A into B with range is continuous. Also we obtain condition s for the automatic continuity of homomorphism with dense range.

  • This article introduces a railway organizational change of the Swedish Railway Case written by Petra Stelling. Through the Swedish Railway organizational change case we know that issues such like functionalism vs. regionalism, dividing rolling' stock department, and separating divisions are solved in the organizational designs. Swedish experience could give some hints to Korail organization change efforts.

  • Traditionally, the material used for the form in reinforced concrete construction has been wood or steel. But recently, aluminum forms have been widely used in wall structures such as apartment buildings. Aluminum is light, easy to handle, and economically advantageous, but the hydrogen gas created due to its reaction with the alkali component in concrete gives rise to air pockets on the concrete's surface, and deteriorates the surface's finishability. In this research, to determine the influence of aluminum material on concrete, the cement paste W/C and its chemical reactivity in alkali and acid solution were analyzed. As a prevention plan, the influence of the number of applications of calcium hydroxide and various surface coating materials was analyzed. Through the analysis, it was found that the surface voids on the aluminum form are the result of the reaction of hydrogen gas with an alkali such as $Ca(OH)_2$. This can be prevented by the surface treatment of $Ca(OH)_2$, separating material and coating material. However, poor surface form and damages to the form are expected to cause quality degradation because of the aluminum-concrete interaction. Therefore, thorough surface treatment, rather than the type of separating material or coating material, is considered the most important target of management.

  • An automated cell tracking system is automatically to analyze and track changes of cell behaviors in time-lapse cell images acquired from microscope in the cell culture. In this paper, we proposed and developed an ellipse fitting based algorithm for separating very small size overlapping cells in a cell image consisted of thousands or ten thousands cells. We were extracted contours of clusters and divided them into line segments and then produced their fitted ellipses for each line segment. By experimentations, our algorithm was separated clusters with average 91% precision for two overlapping cells and average 84% precision for three overlapping cells respectively.

  • Steel slag has been considered as an industrial waste. A huge amount of slag is produced as a byproduct and the steel slag usually has been dumped in a landfill site. However the steel slag contains valuable resources such as iron, copper, manganese, and magnesium. Superconducting magnetic separation has been applied on recovery of the valuable resources from the steel slag and this process also has intended to reduce the waste to be dumped. Cryo-cooled Nb-Ti superconducting magnet with 100 mm bore and 600 mm of height was used as the magnetic separator. The separating efficiency was evaluated in the function of magnetic field. A steel slag was ground and analyzed for the composition. Iron containing minerals were successfully concentrated from less iron containing portion. The separation efficiency was highly dependent on the particle size giving higher separating efficiency with finer particle. The magnetic field also effects on the separation ratio. Current study showed that an appropriate grinding of slag and magnetic separation lead to the recovery of metal resources from steel slag waste rather than dumping all of the volume.
