Objective : To evaluate the sensory processing ability in relation to parenting stress and find the sensory modulation areas affecting the parenting stress in disabled children Methods : Parents of 124 children with disabilities between 3 to 7 years receiving occupational therapy in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do made out the questionnaire and in items of questionnaire, Short Sensory Profile and Parenting Stress Index of short form was included. Results : Among general information, parenting stress of parents had significant correlation with the degree of disability and correlation with the lower level 2 of Parenting Stress Index. The more sensory processing disability was increased, the more parenting stress was increased. Parenting stress showed the significant correlation with movement sensitivity area and under-responsiveness/behaivor area seeking specific stimulation among sensory processing areas and had significant correlation with tactile sensitivity and auditory filtering. Sensory processing areas which affect the most the Parenting Stress were movement sensitivity and under-responsiveness/behaivor area seeking the specific behavior among sensory control disabilities. Conclusion : The parenting stress of parents with the disabled children had the correlation with sensory processing ability. The difficulty of sensory processing increased the parenting stress. Hence, in order to improve children's sensory processing ability, the appropriately coping program should be developed and the appropriate intervention for improvement of sensory processing ability of children will be necessary.
A science museum responds independently based on the exhibits and exhibition environments as the visitors are different in purposes, interests and demands. Therefore a science museum should be designed keeping it in mind that there are various ways for visitors to perceive and use the exhibition spaces and exhibits. The purpose of this study is to compare and analyze the characteristics of sensory receptors for the exhibits in National Museum of Nature and Science's Global Gallery, Tokyo, in terms of information transmission and to identify the nature of exhibit medium that can affect the perception and recognition of the exhibits by visitors. Through these 9 sensory receptors, human recognizes first with visual, auditory and olfactory senses and reacts using vestibular organ, proprioceptor (stretch), tangoreceptor, themoreceptor, taste and olfactory senses. Human uses these information processing to recolonize the external environment. This process is similar to the visitor's information transmission process for the exhibition medium. By dividing the analysis results per exhibition theme and developing the information transmission processing types per sensory receptor, we could understand that the distribution conditions are closely connected with the composition of the exhibition scenario in the exhibtion area. Especially, the understanding of how the information transmission is made through sensory receptors could can be the criteria that determines on the factors that can identify the exhibition purposes of a science museum which are eduction and understanding.
Web structure of spiders is a foraging strategy as well as an investment to get prey. In order to increase the fitness consequence, spiders change their foraging strategy based on sensory information provided by prey species. We conducted an experiment to demonstrate whether an orb-web building spider, Argiope bruennichi modifies its web-building behavior after experiencing sensory information emitted by a UV recognizing flying insect, Bombus terrestris. To know how the web structure would be modified, we observed web characteristics after providing sensory information of a potential prey species, the bumblebee (experimental group) and compared them to the control group (no information provided). We hypothesized that the spiders of the experimental group would increase investments in their web construction and stabilimentum decoration. The results rejected our hypothesis. Web and stabilimentum constructions decreased in the course of the experiment in both the control group and the experimental group. The individuals did not increase their stabilimentum length and did not extend their web areas, in spite of sensory information given by the nectar collector.

In this paper, human motor behaving model based sensory motor coordination(SMC) algorithm is implemented on robotic grasping task. Compare to conventional SMC models which connect sensor to motor directly, the proposed method used biologically inspired human behaving system in conjunction with SMC algorithm for fast grasping force control of robot arm. To characterize various grasping objects, pressure sensors on hand gripper were used. Measured sensory data are simultaneously transferred to perceptual mechanism(PM) and long term memory(LTM), and then the sensory information is forwarded to the fastest channel among several information-processing flows in human motor system. In this model, two motor learning routes are proposed. One of the route uses PM and the other uses short term memory(STM) and LTM structure. Through motor learning procedure, successful information is transferred from STM to LTM. Also, LTM data are used for next moor plan as reference information. STM is designed to single layered perception neural network to generate fast motor plan and receive required data which comes from LTM. Experimental results showed that proposed method can control of the grasping force adaptable to various shapes and types of greasing objects, and also it showed quicker grasping-behavior lumining time compare to simple feedback system.
The effects of different heat treatments on the sensory characteristics of abalones are studied in this study. In this paper, the sensory evaluation of abalone samples under different heat treatment conditions is carried out, and the evaluation results are analyzed. The three-dimensional (3D) scanning and reverse engineering are used in tooth modeling of the sensory evaluation of abalone samples under different heat treatment conditions. Besides, the chewing movement models are simplified into three modes, including the cutting mode, compressing mode and grinding mode, which are simulated using finite element simulation. The elastic modulus of the abalone samples is obtained through the compression testing using a texture analyzer to distinguish their material properties under different heat treatments and to obtain simulated mechanical parameters. Finally, taking the mechanical parameters of the finite element simulation of abalone chewing as input and sensory evaluation parameters as the output, BP neural network is established in which the sensory texture evaluation model of abalone samples is obtained. Through verification, the neural network prediction model can meet the requirements of food texture evaluation, with an average error of 9.12%.

This review examined current actions and thinking, and suggests further actions and thinking for progressive professional education programs, research, clinical applications and public relations in sensory integration approach in KSSIT.
Various sensory technologies have been used at different stages of product development. In this paper, the examples of sensory studies in teas and cosmetics were shown, and these could help to increase the contribution of sensory sciences to the development of products in the industry. In classical approach, descriptive analysis with trained panel and consumer acceptability test are very important to identify the sensorycharacteristicsthatdriveconsumeracceptability of products. Recently, some quick and easy sensory evaluation methods were introduced such as CATA (check-all-that-apply), sorting, and $Napping^{(R)}$, etc. to gather information about consumers' perception of the sensory characteristics of products. Although there are many sensory methodologies available in the product development phase, the most important thing is that these have to be correctly selected and designed for target consumers, products, and research purposes in order to develop a successful product.

This study presents the eigen ethnic function and mathematical processing method of human information. Human information can be definded as the overlap area taking the superposition property composed of intuition and sensory in stimulus/response (S/R) model, In S/R model, the intuition and sensory eigen ethnic function acts on the forming of perception. Perception process by the superposition property of intuition and sensory analogy to the basic neural network model. This analogy model extends to the analysis method. As an analysis method, optimal ratio number induced to the golden section ratio. Golden section ratio drived out by diverse source and implicated to the sensory and intuitive context such as beauty, harmony, optimality etc. This numerical orders can be applied to analysing the Perception process and extended to pursue the Potential human behavior, On the basic of proposed applying method, an illustrative mathematical examples are presented.

Objective : The goal of this study was to investigate neurological mechanism of emotional regulation and to examine the relationship between the regulation and sensory processing. Subjective : Emotional regulations are mainly processed in limbic system, particularly the basal-lateral group of amygdala takes on a major role in the regulations. The basal-lateral group of amygdala links to thalamus directly and/or indirectly which processes sensory information together. This sensory information connects to orbital and medial prefrontal cortex. Inadequate sensory processing may cause difficulties in emotional regulations and behaviors because of a circuit linking the amygdala, the thalamus, and the orbital and medial prefrontal cortex. These difficulties and impairments has been reported in neurological studies for children with ASD and ADHD. Conclusion : Neurological states are different between the normal children and children with ASD and ADHD and these represent various aspects in sensory processing, emotional regulations and behaviors. Thus, therapists working with children with ASD and ADHD need to understand mechanisms of sensory processing and emotional regulations in order to provide adequate treatments.

The Multisensor Fusion Problem (MFP) deals with the methodologies involved in effectively combining together homogeneous or non-homegeneous information obtained from multiple redundant or disparate sensors in order to perform a task more accurately, efficiently, and reliably. The inherent uncertainties in the sensory information are represented using Fuzzy Numbers, -numbers, and the Uncertainty-Reductive Fusion Technique (URFT) is introduced to combine the multiple sensory information into one consensus -number. The MFP is formulated from the Information Theory perspective where sensors are viewed as information sources with a fixed output alphabet and systems are modeled as a network of information processing and processing and propagating channels. The performance of the URFT is compared with other fusion techniques in solving the 3-Sensor Problem.
