알루미늄 지지대에 고정된 융착 광섬유 커플러의 열팽창을 이용한 온도 센서 (Fiber Optic Temperature Sensor Based on the Thermal Expansion Effect of Fused Optical Fiber Coupler Fixed on a Al Support)

  • We have investigated a temperature sensor on a thermal expansion effect of a fused optical fiber coupler. Both side of the fused tapered region of the coupler were fixed on a metal support to induce the high thermal expansion effect. The sensor showed that the peak coupling wavelengths were shifted to shorted wavelength region with increased of environmental temperature. The sensitivity of the sensor was $0.12nm/^{\circ}C$.

요양병원 간호사의 도덕적 민감성, 감염관리 조직문화가 감염관리 수행도에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Moral Sensitivity and Organizational Culture for Infection Control on Infection Control Performance of Long-Term Care Hospital Nurses)

  • Purpose: This study investigated the organizational culture in hospital for infection control, moral sensitivity, and the degree of infection control among long-term care hospital nurses, and to identified the factors associated with infection control perfomance. Methods: 186 nurses who directly care for patients at seven Long-Term Care Hospitals in D Metropolitan City participated in the survey. Data were collected using self-reported questionnaires and analyzed using the IBM SPSS 26.0 software. Results: Moral sensitivity showed statistically significant differences in age (F=5.473, p=.065), clinical experience (F=8.890, p=.031), nursing hospital work experience (F=6.520, p=.038), religion (t=-2.01, p=.046) and position (t=-2.96, p=.003). Correlation analysis revealed that with moral sensitivity and effect of organizational culture on infection control, there was a positive correlation between infection control and patient-centered nursing (r=.201, p<.006), professionalism (r=.149, p<.042), benevolence (r=.303, p<.001), infection control organizational culture (r=.556, p<.001). Benevolence of moral sensitivity (β=.21, p=.001) and infection control organizational culture (β=.54, p<.001) were associated with infection control perfomance. Moral sensitivity (including patient-centered nursing, professionalism, and benevolence) and infection control organizational culture explained 33.8% of the variance in infection control (F=24.57, p<.001). Conclusion: It is important to improve the moral sensitivity of nurses and a positive organizational culture for better infection control. We need to develop intervention strategies and establish systematic and administrative support.

레일형 교량신축이음장치 용접부의 피로강도 평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Fatigue Strength Evaluation in Rail-type Expansion Joint Weldment of Bridge)

  • This paper is especially concerned with the weldment between support beam and square bar that plays important roles in control box of Expansion Joint as a bridge structure. Fatigue strength of the weldment is dependent on notch radius from welding defects and material properties. From which, tensile strength($\sigma$ult) and fatigue notch factor(Kf) become important factors to predict fatigue life. The fatigue notch sensitivity(η) for metals can be divided into two types : high and low notch sensitivity. In this work, the Expansion Joint weldment was found to have low notch sensitivity. Fatigue test of real structure was performed up to 106cycles to be compared with predicted endurance limit.

자동차 클러치 다이어프램 스프링 하중 특성 및 민감도 해석 (Load Characteristics and Sensitivity Analysis for an Automotive Clutch Diaphragm Spring)

  • An analytical solution for deflection-load characteristics of a conical disk spring used especially in the automotive manual transmission clutch applications is proposed in order to take into account the effects of friction and large deformation. The conical disk spring, or the diaphragm spring, has a hinge support, an application point of release load at the tip of the fingers and an application point of clamp load near but inside the outer perimeter of the conical disk spring. The friction coefficient is assumed to be a constant regardless of the speed of deflection and the magnitude of loads. Comparison with experimental shows a good agreement with the analytical prediction. Also, the sensitivity of the clamp load due to variations in the geometrical parameters of the conical disk spring is calculated and discussed.

Matching Element Sensitivity Analysis for the Operation of a Dual-band Power Amplifier with CRLH Transmission Lines

  • In this paper, we analyzed the sensitivity of matching elements for the dual-band operation of a power amplifier with composite right/left-handed (CRLH) transmission lines. Metamaterial theory enables CRLH transmission to support arbitrary impedance matching at dual frequencies. In general, at sub-GHz range, the CRLH matching networks are commonly implemented with lumped elements, which are prone to manufacturing distribution. In order to reduce the effect from the distribution of element values in design, we suggest a method to analyze the sensitivity of matching elements from the performance aspect of power amplifiers. Based on the analysis, a 40dBm dual-band power amplifier operating at 0.7GHz and 1.5GHz is designed.

Model of Least Square Support Vector Machine (LSSVM) for Prediction of Fracture Parameters of Concrete

  • This article employs Least Square Support Vector Machine (LSSVM) for determination of fracture parameters of concrete: critical stress intensity factor ($K_{Ic}^s$) and the critical crack tip opening displacement ($CTOD_c$). LSSVM that is firmly based on the theory of statistical learning theory uses regression technique. The results are compared with a widely used Artificial Neural Network (ANN) Models of LSSVM have been developed for prediction of $K_{Ic}^s$ and $CTOD_c$, and then a sensitivity analysis has been performed to investigate the importance of the input parameters. Equations have been also developed for determination of $K_{Ic}^s$ and $CTOD_c$. The developed LSSVM also gives error bar. The results show that the developed model of LSSVM is very predictable in order to determine fracture parameters of concrete.

굽힘파 전파 특성을 이용한 레일체결장치의 구조 결함 진단 (Identification of Structural Defects in Rail Fastening Systems Using Flexural Wave Propagation)

  • 굽힘파 전파 특성을 이용하여 지지강성을 도출하고 이를 이용한 레일체결장치의 결함 검출 시험법을 제안하였다. 점탄성 패드로 지지되고 체결장치로 고정된 레일의 진동 응답은 주파수에 따라 지지단 동특성에 크게 영향을 받는다. 체결장치에 결함이 발생할 경우에는 구조적인 불연속성으로 인해 굽힘 파동의 전파 특성이 변화하게 된다. 이러한 변화를 감지하기 위해서 전달함수법을 이용해 주파수에 따라 변화하는 레일 지지단 동특성을 측정하였다. 연속 스프링으로 지지된 레일 응답으로부터 예측한 레일의 보존에너지를 이용해 결함에 대한 파동 전파의 민감도를 해석하였다. 민감도 해석 결과와 동적지지강성 변화를 측정하여 손상지수를 계산하고 결함 위치를 추정하였다.

  • This paper describes the development process of steering system for reduce idle vibration through the data level of frequency and sensitivity. High stiffness and light weight vehicle is a major target in the refinement of passenger cars to meet customers' contradictable requirements between NVH performance and fuel economy. The target frequency of the steering system is set by benchmarking of a competitive vehicle and the vibration mode map is used to separate steering column modes from resonance of body structure and engine idle rpm. This paper descirbes the analysis approach process for high stiffness of steering system and the design guideline is suggested about steering column and support system by using mother car at initial design stage. We used a patent map in order to analyze accurately a technical trend and suggested the design process using dynamic damper of steering system considering sensitivity. And we established techniques of analysis on steering system and evaluated the level of accuracy of analysis through correlating the test and analysis results. It makes possible to design the good NVH performance vehicle at initial design stage and save vehicles to be used in tests. These improvements can lead to shortening the time needed to develop better vehicles.

Effect of one way reinforced concrete slab characteristics on structural response under blast loading

  • In evaluating explosion-protection capacity, safety distance is broadly accepted as the distance at which detonation of a given explosive causes acceptable structural damage. Safety distance can be calculated based on structural response under blast loading and damage criteria. For the applicability of the safety distance, the minimum required stand-off distance should be given when the explosive size is assumed. However, because of the nature of structures, structural details and material characteristics differ, which requires sensitivity analysis of the safety distance. This study examines the safety-distance sensitivity from structural and material property variations. For the safety-distance calculation, a blast analysis module based on the Kingery and Bulmash formula, a structural response module based on a Single Degree of Freedom model, and damage criteria based on a support rotation angle were prepared. Sensitivity analysis was conducted for the Reinforced Concrete one-way slab with different thicknesses, reinforcement ratios, reinforcement yield strengths, and concrete compressive strengths. It was shown that slab thickness has the most significant influence on both inertial force and flexure resistance, but the compressive strength of the concrete is not relevant.

외인성 주의 유도에 의한 시야의 시각 민감도 변화 (Changes in sensitivity across visual field induced by exogenous attention)

  • 주의 위치로부터의 거리에 따른 시각 민감도 변화를 조사하였다. 피험자가 시야 평면의 한 점을 응시하는 동안 응시점에서 좌우 대칭으로 4。 떨어져 있는 주의 유도점중 하나를 깜빡인 다음 주의 유도점 부근에 표적 자극을 제시하였다. 피험자의 과제는 그 표적이 나타났는지의 여부를 판단하여 보고하는 것이었다. 표적 자극의 탐지율은 주의 유도점 인접한 곳에서 가장 높았으며 그곳으로부터 멀어질수록 점진적으로 감소하였다. 이러한 결과는 주의 유도에 의한 시각 민감도의 점진적 변화 모형(gradient model)을 지지하는 것이다.
