대칭 모드 아치의 준-해석적 테일러 해와 동적 안정성 (Dynamic Stability and Semi-Analytical Taylor Solution of Arch With Symmetric Mode)

  • In this study, we investigated the dynamic stability of the system and the semi-analytical solution of the shallow arch. The governing equation for the primary symmetric mode of the arch under external load was derived and expressed simply by using parameters. The semi-analytical solution of the equation was obtained using the Taylor series and the stability of the system for the constant load was analyzed. As a result, we can classify equilibrium points by root of equilibrium equation, and classified stable, asymptotical stable and unstable resigns of equilibrium path. We observed stable points and attractors that appeared differently depending on the shape parameter h, and we can see the points where dynamic buckling occurs. Dynamic buckling of arches with initial condition did not occur in low shape parameter, and sensitive range of critical boundary was observed in low damping constants.

HILS를 활용한 전투차량의 반능동 현수장치 적용에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Appication of Semi-Active Supension Units for a Combat Vehicle by Using HILS)

  • There have been a lot of efforts on the improvement for the ride comfort and handling stability of the combat vehicles. Especially most of vehicles for military purpose have bad inertial condition and severe operating condition such as the rough road driving, and need a high mobility in the emergency status. It is necessary to apply the controlled suspension system in order to improve the vehicle mobile stability and ride comfort ability of crews. A feasibility study is performed on the application of the semi-active suspension system with a magneto-rheological controlled shock absorber for a $6{\times}6$ combat vehicle. First, the dynamic simulation model of the vehicle including the control model for the semi-active suspension system was executed. Based on this model, a hardware-in-the-loop simulation(HILS) system which has a semi-active suspension controller hardware was constructed. After full vehicle simulations were performed in virtual proving courses with this system, the semi-active suspension system was proven to give better ride comfort and handling stability in comparison with the conventional passive suspension system.

  • In this paper design criteria for semi-submersibles, effective at the stage of basic design, are reviewed first generally. Thereafter an extensive study is focussed on essential problematic areas such as design load, heaving motion, overall structural analysis and welding technique. The necessity for this kind of research is apparent in the light of the fact that ocean exploration and exploitation becomes extended to deeper ocean and that semi-submersibles are the most favorite unit for operation under this environment. In some sense principles in naval architecture are indeed applicable to the design of semi-submersible. However, because of the difference in geometry between ships and semi-submersibles, there are significant deviations in design method. A thorough discussion is made on particular behaviours of a semi-submersible in stability, wave load, motion characteristics and structural responses. Then some calculation-procedures and design guidelines are tentatively proposed. A numerical calculation for a semi-submersible Sedco 708 is exemplified for better understanding of the concept. The structure has 4 main and another 4 secondary stabilizing columns with catamaran-type lower hull. In this example design condition is supposed to be 28m wave height, 90 knots wind speed for survival condition and seastate 6 for operational condition in water of 100m depth. The numerical result implies that the actual design of this model can be assessed close to optimum. Further intensive research is strongly required in the subject fields of dynamic stability, rational evaluation of wave load statistical basis for fatigue life judgement.

폴리에테르설폰이 도입된 에폭시 복합재의 열 안정성 및 기계적 특성 (Mechanical Property and Thermal Stability of Epoxy Composites Containing Poly(ether sulfone))

  • Poly(ether sulfone) (PES)가 첨가된 비스페놀-A 에폭시 복합재가 그 기계적 특성 및 열 안정성을 증진하기 위하여 제조되었다. 인장강도, 굽힘강도 및 충격강도 등의 기계적 강도가 PES 함량에 따라 의미있게 변화하였다. 특히 그 파괴인성 값은 약 24%의 정도 크게 향상되었다. 적분 열분해 진행온도를 통하여 계산된 PES/에폭시 복합재의 열 안정성은 PES 미첨가 에폭시와 비교하여 12%의 향상을 보였다. 또한 DSC 분석 결과 PES 함량이 증가함에 따라 경화온도와 경화열이 점점 감소함을 확인하였다. 이러한 현상은 에폭시 수지와 선형 PES가 가교구조(semi-interpenetrating polymer networks; semi-IPNs)를 형성하고 잘 분산되었기 때문으로 판단된다.

The Formulation of Semi-Transparent Gel Emulsion by the Liquid Crystal Emulsification Method

  • Liquid crystals offer plenty of useful activities as improving the stability of emulsion, increasing moisturizing power, drug release, improving skin feeling and visual effect for cosmetics fields. In order to prepare stable semi-transparent gel emulsion, liquid crystal emulsification method was used. The emulsion stabilities of systems containing glycerin, fatty alcohols, surfactants, water and oil were investigated at various temperatures as time passed. The stabilities of all emulsions were evaluated by means of a polarizing microscope, SEM, rheometer, colorimeter and DSC. Even though the samples stored at $50^{\circ}C$ thermostatic chamber were occurred the reduction of hardness, turbidity and ${\Delta}H$ and the peak shift, the semi-transparent gel emulsion was very stable without separation between water and oils phase in emulsion.

Fully nonlinear inelastic analysis of rectangular CFST frames with semi-rigid connections

  • In this study, an effective numerical method is introduced for nonlinear inelastic analyses of rectangular concrete-filled steel tubular (CFST) frames for the first time. A steel-concrete composite fiber beam-column element model is developed that considers material, and geometric nonlinearities, and residual stresses. This is achieved by using stability functions combined with integration points along the element length to capture the spread of plasticity over the composite cross-section along the element length. Additionally, a multi-spring element with a zero-length is employed to model the nonlinear semi-rigid beam-to-column connections in CFST frame models. To solve the nonlinear equilibrium equations, the generalized displacement control algorithm is adopted. The accuracy of the proposed method is firstly verified by a large number of experiments of CFST members subjected to various loading conditions. Subsequently, the proposed method is applied to investigate the nonlinear inelastic behavior of rectangular CFST frames with fully rigid, semi-rigid, and hinged connections. The accuracy of the predicted results and the efficiency pertaining to the computation time of the proposed method are demonstrated in comparison with the ABAQUS software. The proposed numerical method may be efficiently utilized in practical designs for advanced analysis of the rectangular CFST structures.

Sulfur Polymer Emulsion 및 보강용 섬유를 활용한 반강성 포장재의 공학적 특성 (Engineering Properties of Semi-rigid Pavement Material Produced with Sulfur Polymer Emulsion and Reinforcing Fibers)

  • 본 연구에서는 유황폴리머에멀젼 (SPE)을 반강성 포장용 주입재의 아크릴레이트 대체재로서 활용가능성과 성능향상재료 (PVA섬유)에 대한 역학적 성능과 내구성능을 평가하였다. 평가결과, 반강성 포장재의 충전률은 섬유의 혼입률이 증가함에 따라 충전률이 저하되었지만, 모든 배합조건에서 평균 92~94%로 측정되어 목표 성능인 90%를 만족하였다. 반강성 포장재의 마샬안정도 값은 최대 25.4kN으로 측정되어 반강성 포장재의 국내 기준인 5.0 kN 보다 약 4.7배 우수한 것으로 나타났다. 반강성 포장재의 동적안정도 평가결과, 휠 트래킹시험에 따른 변형저항성은 SPE를 대체한 배합조건이 보다 우수하였고, 모든 배합조건에서 45분 이후에는 변형량이 일정한 값에 수렴되어 동적안정도가 31,500회/mm로 동일한 결과를 나타내었다. 파단변형률은 최대 0.53% 정도로 나타나 아스팔트 포장재보다 우수한 강성으로 나타났다. 마모저항성 및 충격저항성 검토결과 모든 배합조건에서 손실률이 9.8~6.0%로 나타나 우수한 내마모성을 나타내었으며, 섬유를 0.3% 혼입한 경우 혼입하지 않은 Plain에 비하여 2.82배의 내충격성 향상을 나타내었다. 역학적성능 및 내구성능 등을 모두 고려하여 볼 때, 이 연구 범위에서는 SPE 대체율 30%가 적정 수준이고, 혼입률 0.3% 범위에서 PVA 섬유를 적용하면 우수한 인성을 갖는 반강성 포장재 제조가 가능 할 것으로 판단된다.

접합부 비선형 거동을 고려한 강구조 비가새 골조의 안정성 (The Stability of Steel Unbraced Frames Considering Nonlinear Behavior of Connections)

  • 강구조 비가새 골조의 접합부로서 반강접합부를 적용하게 되면 접합부의 비선형적인 모멘트-회전각 관계는 강구조 비가새 골조의 거동($P-\Delta$ 효과) 및 안정성에 영향을 미치게 된다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 이러한 접합부 비선형 거동이 골조의 거동 및 안정성에 미치는 영향을 2차 비탄성 해석을 통하여 고찰하고, 안정성에 영향을 미치는 주요 인자 및 그 경향들을 분석하였다. 연구 결과 접합부의 비선형 거동은 골조의 안정성에 직접적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며 주요 영향인자는 접합부의 회전강성, 반강접합부의 적용 위치 등으로 나타났다.
