  • As the information of web dramatically increase, the existing web reveals more and more limitations in information search because web pages are designed only for human consumption by mixing content with presentation. In order to improve this situation, the Semantic Web comes on the stage by W3C. Semantic web is based on ontology that defines relationships between resources and it is enough to bring a significant advancement in web search. But to do this, the Semantic Web must provide a novel search and visualization methods which can make users instantly and intuitively understand why and how the results are retrieved because ontology has formal explicit descriptions of meaning. In this paper, we propose a semantic association-based search methodology that consists of how to find relevant information for a given user's query in the ontology, that is, a semantic network of resources and properties and how to provide proper visualization and navigation methods on the results. From this work, users can search the semantically associated resources for their query and also navigate such associations between resources.

  • This study presents HCWS algorithm for researcher grouping on a weighted researcher network. The weights represent intensity of connections among researchers based on the number of co-authors and the number of co-authored research papers. To confirm the validity of the proposed technique, this study conducted an experimentation on about 80 research papers. As a consequence, it is proved that HCWS algorithm is able to bring about more realistic clustering compared with HCS algorithm which presents semantic relations among researchers in simple connections. In addition, it is found that HCWS algorithm can address the problems of existing HCS algorithm; researchers are disconnected since their connections are classified as weak even though they are strong, and vise versa. The technique described in this research paper can be applied to efficiently establish social networks of researchers considering relations such as collaboration histories among researchers or to create communities of researchers.

  • This paper presents a facial expression recognition based on Gabor wavelets that uses a fuzzy C-means(FCM) clustering algorithm and neural network. Features of facial expressions are extracted to two steps. In the first step, Gabor wavelet representation can provide edges extraction of major face components using the average value of the image's 2-D Gabor wavelet coefficient histogram. In the next step, we extract sparse features of facial expressions from the extracted edge information using FCM clustering algorithm. The result of facial expression recognition is compared with dimensional values of internal stated derived from semantic ratings of words related to emotion. The dimensional model can recognize not only six facial expressions related to Ekman's basic emotions, but also expressions of various internal states.

  • Higher level representation splay an important role in model management systems. The role is to make decision makers friendly represent their problem using the representations. In this research, we address higher level representations including five distinctivenesses: Objective, Node, Link, Topological Constraint including five components, and Decision, Therefore, it is developed a system called HLRNET that implements the building procedure of network models using structural knowledge and object data The paper particularly elaborates all components included in each of distinctiveness extracted from structural characteristics of a lot of telecommunication network models. Higher level representations represented with five destinctivenesses should be converted into base level representations which are employed for semantic representations of linear and integer programming problems in a knowledge-assisted optimization modeling system. The system is illustrated with an example of the local access network model.

  • Unstructured peer-to-peer (p2p) networks usually employ flooding search algorithms to locate resources. However, these algorithms often require a large storage overhead or generate massive network traffic. To address this issue, previous researchers explored the possibility of building efficient p2p networks by clustering peers into communities based on their social relationships, creating social-like p2p networks. This study proposes a social relationship p2p network that uses a measure based on Hebbian theory to create a social relation weight. The contribution of the study is twofold. First, using the social relation weight, the query peer stores and searches for the appropriate response peers in social-like p2p networks. Second, this study designs a novel knowledge index mechanism that dynamically adapts social relationship p2p networks. The results show that the proposed social relationship p2p network improves search performance significantly, compared with existing approaches.

  • Now, there are prodigiously expanding worldwide economic networks in the information society, which require their social structural changes through technology innovations. This paper so tries to formally define a process-centered knowledge model to be used to analyze policy-making procedures on technology innovations. The eventual goal of the proposed knowledge model is to apply itself to analyze a topic network based upon composite keywords from a document written in a natural language format during the technology innovation procedures. Knowledge model is created to topic network that compositing driven keyword through text mining from natural language in document. And we show that the way of analyzing knowledge model and automatically generating feature keyword and relation properties into topic networks.

  • Given a directed graph, we can determine how the user's preference moves from one product item to another. In this graph called "preference transition network", each node represents the product item while its edge pointing to the other nodes represents the transition of user's preference. However, with the large number of items make the network become more complex, unclear and difficult to be interpreted. In order to address this problem, this paper proposes a visualization technique in preference transition analysis based on recency and frequency. By adapting these two elements, the semantic meaning of each item and its transition can be clearly identified by its different types of node size, color and edge style. The experiment in a sales data has shown the results of the proposed approach.

  • With the wide spread of Social Network Services (SNS), fake news-which is a way of disguising false information as legitimate media-has become a big social issue. This paper proposes a deep learning architecture for detecting fake news that is written in Korean. Previous works proposed appropriate fake news detection models for English, but Korean has two issues that cannot apply existing models: Korean can be expressed in shorter sentences than English even with the same meaning; therefore, it is difficult to operate a deep neural network because of the feature scarcity for deep learning. Difficulty in semantic analysis due to morpheme ambiguity. We worked to resolve these issues by implementing a system using various convolutional neural network-based deep learning architectures and "Fasttext" which is a word-embedding model learned by syllable unit. After training and testing its implementation, we could achieve meaningful accuracy for classification of the body and context discrepancies, but the accuracy was low for classification of the headline and body discrepancies.

  • Companies have made an investment of cost and time to optimize processing of a new business model in a cloud environment, applying collaboration technology utilizing business processes in a social network. The collaborative processing method changed from traditional BPM to the cloud and a mobile cloud environment. We proposed a collaborative system for operating processes in social networks using MOXMDR-DAI+ (eXtended Metadata Registry-Data Access & Integration based multimedia ontology). The system operating cloud-based collaborative processes in application of MOXMDR-DAI+, which was suitable for data interoperation. MOXMDR-DAI+ applied to this system was an agent effectively supporting access and integration between multimedia content metadata schema and instance, which were necessary for data interoperation, of individual local system in the cloud environment, operating collaborative processes in the social network. In operating the social network-based collaborative processes, there occurred heterogeneousness such as schema structure and semantic collision due to queries in the processes and unit conversion between instances. It aimed to solve the occurrence of heterogeneousness in the process of metadata mapping using MOXMDR-DAI+ in the system. The system proposed in this study can visualize business processes. And it makes it easier to operate the collaboration process through mobile support. Real-time status monitoring of the operation process is possible through the dashboard, and it is possible to perform a collaborative process through expert search using a community in a social network environment.

  • State-of-art instance segmentation networks are successful at generating 2D segmentation mask for region proposals with highest classification score, yet 3D object segmentation task is limited to geocentric embedding or detector of Sliding Shapes. To this end, we propose an amodal 3D instance segmentation network called A3IS-CNN, which extends the detector of Deep Sliding Shapes to amodal 3D instance segmentation by adding a new branch of 3D ConvNet called A3IS-branch. The A3IS-branch which takes 3D amodal ROI as input and 3D semantic instances as output is a fully convolution network(FCN) sharing convolutional layers with existing 3d RPN which takes 3D scene as input and 3D amodal proposals as output. For two branches share computation with each other, our 3D instance segmentation network adds only a small overhead of 0.25 fps to Deep Sliding Shapes, trading off accurate detection and point-to-point segmentation of instances. Experiments show that our 3D instance segmentation network achieves at least 10% to 50% improvement over the state-of-art network in running time, and outperforms the state-of-art 3D detectors by at least 16.1 AP.
