  • 148 male and 153 female college students attitude toward weight control, diet behaviors and food habits were investigated by self questionnaire. Among the students, underweight students were 11.0$\%$, normal weight students were 63.5$\%$ and obese students were 25.6$\%$ by RBW standard, and underweight students were 16.0$\%$, nromal weight students were 70.4$\%$ and obese students were 13.6% by BMI standard. However, more than 10% of male and 38$\%$ of female students thought they were obese even thought their body weight were normal. Female students tended to overeat when they were stressed or in a bad mood and generally all participants had poor scores on the dietary attitudes test, however, male students had significantly higher scores than female students. Female students tended to choose food more for its taste. Collegestudents are in early stage of adult life and their dietary attitudes, food behaviors and life style will continue to their later life. Therefore college students need more good nutrition knowledge, positive dietary attitudes, modified life styles to prevent and treat collegestudents obesity. • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the actual conditions of obesity, and the factors related to children's obesity. Method: The subjects were 568 students (5th, 6th grades) of ten elementary schools in a small city of about 350,000. Subjects self-reported after being instructed by researchers to identify health habits and attitudes toward obesity. The Rohrer index was calculated by using annual physical examinations preformed by the schools. Result: 17.5% of the subjects were under weight, 22.2% were overweight, and 60.3% were normal. In girls, the under weight group was much larger, in boys the overweight group was larger. 46.2% of overweight children had a familial tendency to obesity. 60.6% of boys and 60% of girls were on a diet in order to improve their looks or to prevent ridicule from mends. On average, one-third of the subjects misunderstood their own weight level. Subjects spent 3-4hours on weekdays, and over 6hours on the weekend watching TV or using personal computers. The overweight group enjoyed eating meat, fish, beans and vegetables, while the normal group tended to prefer fruit. Conclusion: Health education programs which guide elementary school students to form better health habits, more accurate perceptions of their own body weight, and better attitudes toward obesity and which make students aware of the importance of exercise, a healthy diet, and reducing time spent in front of TVs and computers may help them to keep at their appropriate weight.

  • This study was undertaken to compare meal skipping, snacking, and weight perceptions between students on-campus living alone and off-campus living with parents, in an urban college in the United States. The self-report survey was completed by 219 college students (on-campus=100, off-campus=119) between April and May 2012. Two-thirds (67%) of the respondents skipped at least one meal in the past week, and most participants showed strong desires to lose weight despite their normal/under-weight status. Significant differences between the two groups were obtained for the reason to skip a meal and the type of snack consumed. Compared to on-campus students, significantly higher values were obtained for off-campus students for choosing 'no time to prepare' as a meal skipping reason for lunch and dinner, and 'sweets' as a preferred snack. In addition to the group comparison, multiple regression results indicate that the body mass index (BMI) positively correlates with meal skipping and snacking frequencies. Younger students and female students were determined to have a higher frequency of meal skipping and morning snacking. Future research is required to study the dietary factors associated with living arrangements, to help college students develop healthy eating habits.

  • This study was conducted to investigate factors affecting gone density of university students in Seoul area. Data for food habits, exercise and health-related behaviors were obtained by self administered questionnaires. BQI(bone quality index) of the subjects was measured by an Quantitative Ultrasound(QUS). The results are summarized as follows: The average hight, weight BMI and osteopenia percentage of the male and female student were 173.3cm, 68.6kg, 22.7 and 24.2%; 161.4cm, 54.4kg, 20.9 and 55.5%, respectively. The BQI and Z-score of the subjects were 99.6, -0.3 in male student group, and 82.7, -1.1 in female student group, respectively. Height, weight, fat weight, fat mass and BMI were positively related with BQI in female group. BQI was positively affected by breakfast and frequence exercise in male student group. In female student group, frequency exercise was positively related with BQI. The result of this study revealed that the desirable food habits, dietary behaviors and health-related lifestyles may have a beneficial effect on bone density. They should have practically and systematically organized nutritional education on optimum body weight, good eating habits, weight bearing exercise for higher bone density level.

  • This study was done for the purpose of investigating college students' body weight and health behavior. The subjects for this study were 1421 students obtained by a convenient sampling from one junior college located in Mok-Po. The data were analyzed by self-reporting questionnaire from June 18 to 28, 1996. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics with SAS program. The results were as followed; Factors of comparatively high contribution to overweight were male students, perception they were healthy. smoking, alcohol drinking, irregular sleep and eating pattern, sleep for 9 hours over, regular exercise, no snack, diet control for weight loss. Factors of comparatively high contribution to underweight were female students. perception they were unhealthy. no smoking and alcohol drinking. irregular sleep and eating pattern. high rate of snack, sleep for 9 hours over. In conclusion overweight and underweight were correlated with seven health habits' and we suggest health education related to seven health habits.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the body mass index and food habits of female university students (nutrition majors) in Seoul. The means of height, weight and BMI were 161.22${\pm}$4.63cm, 52.76${\pm}$6.59kg, and 22.20${\pm}$3.98, respectively. Subjects were divided into 3 groups based on BMI. The ratio of underweight, normal, and overweight students was 25.2%, 56.3%, and 18.5%. respectively. There were significant differences in the recognition rate of body shape and the way to maintain health by BMI. And self satisfaction rate of body shape was significantly higher in underweight subjects compared with others. There was no significant difference in the rate of activity and exercise, food behavior, intake frequency of various foods, intake of convenience food and carbonated drink according to BMI. Weight and body fat of subjects had a significant correlation with BMI. and height, frequency of taking food, frequency of meals, food behavior, intake food, health and exercise consciousness rate showed no correlation with BMI.

  • This study is intended to present the properites of planting concrete using the light-weight aggregate and crushed aggregate. According to the result of experiment, the concrete using orchid stone shows a better performance in voids volume, unit weight, absorbtion, thermal conductivity and pH, which are helpful for planting and heat isolation. Therefore, if planting concrete used with orchid stone are utilized to be the planting base on the building's roof, it will be effective to reduced the cost of construction and heating due to the redution of building's self weight and heat isolation effection.

  • Li ion battery have many advantages such as high energy density, high voltage and low self discharge, so it will replace conventional Ni/Cd battery. But, charge-discharge characterization of Li battery is controlled by weight ratio of electrodes (Cathode/Anode). So, we performed a study on relation between charge/discharge characterization and weight ratio (cathode/anode).

The focus of this study is that there can be obtained the stability through the center of gravity of the balancing of two parts by increasing the weight of the other magnet through a Fortuna other end of the weight of the bar, using the center of gravity. Finally, to find the optimal design of the weight and thickness of the main bar through the center of gravity balancing is the purpose of this study.

  • The propose of this research is derive project management factors and evaluate its decision weight in LNG plant EPC phases. In order to research, we studied the demestic and international research trend and analysed expert opinions. Initially we derived nine project management factors in each phase of EPC. Elicited factors in research are project management, design management, cost management, time management, contract and craim management, safety management, environment management, and risk management. Then, we evaluated the weight of project management factors with expert survey method and elicitated. Finally, The remarkable points in the result are that key management factors of EPC project are project management and risk management.
