In this paper presents an accurate AFM used that is free from the Z-directional distortion of a servo actuator is described. Two mathematical correction methods by the in-situ self-calibrationare employed in this AFM. One is the method by the integration, and the other is the method by inverse function of the calibration curve. The in situ self-calibration method by the integration, the derivative of the calibration curve function of the PZT actuator is calculated from the profile measurement data sets which are obtained by repeating measurements after a small Z-directional shift. Input displacement at each sampling point is approximately estimated first by using a straight calibration line. The derivative is integrated with reference to the approximate input to obtain the approximate calibration curve. Then the approximation of the input value of each sampling point is improved using the obtained calibration curve. Next the integral of the derivative is improved using the newly estimated input values. As a result of repeating these improving process, the calibration curve converges to the correct one, and the distortion of the AFM image can be corrected. In the in situ self-calibration through evaluating the inverse function of the calibration curve, the profile measurement data sets were used during the data processing technique. Principles and experimental results of the two methods are presented.

This study examines the determinant influence of competence: motives, traits, self-concept, knowledge, and skills on work behavior and work effectiveness in government officials. The research was conducted on government officials in the province of South Kalimantan, Indonesia. This research is qualitative in nature, including the population of government apparatus in regencies and municipalities in the South Kalimantan province of Indonesia. The number of respondents in this study was 250 people. The sampling technique used purposive sampling, and Data analysis has been done using Structural Equation Model (SEM). The results showed a significant and positive influence on the determinants of competence, namely motives, traits, self-concept, knowledge, and skills on work behavior and work effectiveness of government officials; the determinant influence of competence showed a direct and indirect effect. This study also shows a mediating effect of work behavior between the determinants of competence (motives, traits, self-concept, knowledge, and skills) on the work effectiveness of government officials. This study's results are expected to provide suggestions to local governments in the South Kalimantan province of Indonesia to conduct performance appraisals for government officials apart from the performance appraisal methods that have been implemented.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to explore the level of professional self-concept, self-efficacy and job satisfaction among nurses who work at hemodialysis units. Methods: With convenience sampling, 128 nurses working at hemodialysis settings in Chungcheong Province were participated in this study. Data were analyzed using SPSS/WIN 14.0 with descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, and Pearson correlation coefficient. Results: The mean scores were 2.68 for professional self-concept, 3.65 for self efficacy and 3.14 for job satisfaction. There were significant differences in professional self-concept according to age, religion, position and clinical experience. There was statistically significant difference in self-efficacy according to age. Also, there was statistically significant difference in job satisfaction according to age, marital status, hospital type, position, clinical experience, and the number of patients per nurse. Job satisfaction was positively correlated with professional self-concept and self-efficacy. Conclusion: These findings provided that interventions to enhance professional self-concept as well as the strategies to improve self-efficacy are very important.
In this study female college students having high interest in fashion were selected by homogeneous purposive sampling. The students were classified into two groups. 301 Students living in Chinju were asked on self-actualization and design preference. The date of respondents were analyzed by Pearson's correlation coefficients and t-test. The results of this study can be summarized as follows. 1. The line preference, chroma, thickness and weight of clothing textile were different in these two groups. 2. The students of individuality had self-actualization, feeling reactivity, self-regard, existentiality and capacity of intimate contact. 3. There were significant relation between self-actualization and the preference for clothing form, color and texture in two groups.
This study aimed to examine the relationship between body image satisfaction and breast self-screening behaviors and intentions. The sample for this cross-sectional study consisted of 842 female university students who were recruited from a number of public and private universities. Data were obtained between the months of November and December, 2013, using multistage random cluster sampling. Main research variables were breast cancer screening behavior and intentions, demographic factors, and the total scores on each of the Multidimensional Body-Self Relations Questionnaire (MBSRQ-Appearance Scales) subscales. Results of multivariate analysis showed that having higher satisfaction and more positive evaluation of appearance were related to having performed breast self-examination more frequently in the last year and intending to perform breast self-examination more frequently in the next year. Longitudinal research can potentially provide detailed information about overall body image satisfaction and breast cancer screening behavior among various communities.
The Purpose of this study was to identify factors that influence the self-esteem of the schooler of families in poverty. A descriptive, correlational, and cross-sectional study design was used. The data were collected from February to March, 2001. Convenient sampling was done from 194 subjects living in Jeju Do, but 167 subjects among these were used for the study analysis. Hierarchical Stepwise Regression was used to identify significant factors. The results of this study were as follows: In general, self-esteem status of the schooler in poor families was relatively poor. In stepwise regression analysis, self-esteem status was significantly influenced by emotional home environment, duration of poverty and frequency of parent-child tactics. These variables explained 26.8% of the variance of schooler's self-esteem. Conclusively, it is recommended that nursing intervention programs for schooler in poor family should be a focus to enhance the economic context as well as family effect.
The purpose of the present study was to explore a model program to improve preschool children's self-concept, perspective-taking and prosocial behavior through "Understanding Activities of Self and Others." Sixty 5- to 6-year-old children were selected by random sampling from a Kindergarten located in Seoul. Thirty children were in the experimental group and 30 were in the control group. The 8-week intervention program used the instrument, "Understanding Activities of Self and Others," constructed by the present researchers. One-way ANOVA and MANOVA were used for data analysis. At the end of the 8-week period, significant differences were found between the experimental and control groups in self-concept, perspective-taking ability, and prosocial behavior. This indicates the effectiveness of the present study in improving children's affective, cognitive, and behavioral traits.

Self-efficacy has been extensively evaluated, but no studies have investigated the effect of self-efficacy on the self-reliance of women in poor-households economic productivity. This study analyzes self-efficacy as a personal factor, learning processes, and social support as an environmental factor towards the achievement of self-reliance in women from poor-households in productive economy businesses. Despite the dominant logic of this scheme, there is a need for field-based data regarding whether the variable really supports the sustainable empowerment of poor-households women. This study used the quantitative method through the survey technique. The samples of this study included 250 people collected from five regencies in Indonesia by using a multiple-stage random sampling. The data were analyzed with structural equation modeling. The results show that social support has a significant positive impact on the learning process; social support has a direct negative impact on self-efficacy. The learning process has a direct positive influence on self-efficacy, while social support has a non-significant impact on self-reliance. The learning process has a direct influence on self-reliance. Social support and the learning process both have significant positive impact on self-efficacy. Social support, learning process, and self-efficacy simultaneously have a positive impact on self-reliance in productive economic activities.
This study was to confirm the mechanism through which the career preparation behaviors are determined by identifying the structural relationship between influential variables on the career preparation behaviors of college students majoring in security service, and to offer proposals for promoting their career preparation behaviors based on the research results. With this aim, the study analyzes the effect of career decision-making autonomy, satisfaction with a major, and satisfaction with martial arts training on career identity, as well as the influential relationship concerning the effect of career identity on career preparation behaviors. For this, the study set as a population college students majoring in security service in the Gyeonggi region. As a subsequent sampling method, the study selected 300 students through purposive sampling. Then, excluding 13 copies of which the answers were insincere, 263 copies were used for data analysis. In this paper, a 7-bit 2GSPS folding/interpolation A/D Converter(ADC) with a Self-Calibrated Vector Generator is proposed. The ADC structure is based on a folding/interpolation architecture whose folding/interpolation rate is 4 and 8, respectively. A cascaded preprocessing block is not only used in order to drive the high input signal frequency, but the resistive interpolation is also used to reduce the power consumption. Based on a novel self-calibrated vector generator, further, offset errors due to device mismatch, parasitic resistors. and parasitic capacitance can be reduced. The chip has been fabricated with a 1.2V 0.13um 1-poly 7-metal CMOS technology. The effective chip area including the calibration circuit is 2.5$mm^2$. SNDR is about 39.49dB when the input frequency is 9MHz at 2GHz sampling frequency. The SNDR is improved by 3dB with the calibration circuit.
