The purpose of this study was to examine the effectiveness(knowledge of core fundamental nursing skills, clinical competency, self-efficacy and learning motivation) of education program for core fundamental nursing skills focusing on endotracheal suctioning using recording video with smartphone and formative feedback for nursing school students. Subjects consisted of 54 sophomore nursing students, an experimental group(n=27) and a control group(n=27). The education for core fundamental nursing skills using recording video to smartphone and individual formative feedback was provided to students in an experimental group. The traditional method with self-directed practice for 4 hours was offered to a control group. The education program for core fundamental nursing skills using recording video with smartphone and formative feedback was effective in promoting knowledge of core fundamental nursing skills, clinical competency, self-efficacy and learning motivation. Based on our results, this program can be recommended as an effective educational program for the nursing students to improve their core fundamental nursing skills.

Data were collected using demographic Questionnaire, Time Management Questionnaire (TMQ), Spielberger State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI) and Academic Motivation Scale (AMS), which was completed t by self-report. Data were analyzed using SPSS 20 software with descriptive and analytical statistics such as ANOVA, independent t-test, Regression and Pearson Correlation Coefficient. The results also showed a statistically significant negative correlation between the students' TMQ scores and the state anxiety (r= -0.282, p< 0.005) and trait anxiety scores (r= -0.325, p<0.005). Moreover, there was a statistically significant positive correlation between the students' TMQ scores and AMS scores (r= 0.279, p< 0.005). The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of action learning on the satisfaction of majors by cultivating task-solving ability through self-reflection in the form of team learning for a certain period of time in the form of team learning by using action learning for students taking convergence curriculum in universities. The subjects of the study were 40 students from the Department of Sports Rehabilitation, a convergence of the Department of Sports and Health Management and the Department of Physical Therapy located in Jeollanam-do. This was conducted to confirm the difference in the effect of satisfaction. Comparison of changes in groups of experimental groups with action learning teaching methods showed significant differences in self-directed learning skills, problem-solving skills, and major satisfaction(p<.001)(p<.05). A significant difference in self-directed learning ability, problem-solving ability, and major satisfaction was also shown in the comparison of changes in control groups that applied traditional teaching methods(p<.05). Comparison of changes between groups showed significant differences in self-directed learning skills, problem-solving skills and major satisfaction(p<.05). Applying the action learning teaching method to the level of students in the convergence course will improve self-directed learning skills, problem-solving skills, and major satisfaction, and further research will be needed to expand the target and add variables to combine qualitative research.
Purpose: This study was done to verify effects of a self-directed feedback practice using smartphone videos on nursing students' basic nursing skills, confidence in performance and learning satisfaction. Methods: In this study an experimental study with a post-test only control group design was used. Twenty-nine students were assigned to the experimental group and 29 to the control group. Experimental treatment was exchanging feedback on deficiencies through smartphone recorded videos of nursing practice process taken by peers during self-directed practice. Results: Basic nursing skills scores were higher for all items in the experimental group compared to the control group, and differences were statistically significant ["Measuring vital signs" (t=-2.10, p=.039); "Wearing protective equipment when entering and exiting the quarantine room and the management of waste materials" (t=-4.74, p<.001) "Gavage tube feeding" (t=-2.70, p=.009)]. Confidence in performance was higher in the experimental group compared to the control group, but the differences were not statistically significant. However, after the complete practice, there was a statistically significant difference in overall performance confidence (t=-3.07. p=.003). Learning satisfaction was higher in the experimental group compared to the control group, but the difference was not statistically significant (t=-1.67, p=.100). Conclusion: Results of this study indicate that self-directed feedback practice using smartphone videos can improve basic nursing skills. The significance is that it can help nursing students gain confidence in their nursing skills for the future through improvement of basic nursing skills and performance of quality care, thus providing patients with safer care.

The purpose of the article is to analyze students' self-assessment of the level of soft skills development and the prospects for its improvement in a pandemic. For an adequate and objective study of the stated issues, comparative analysis was most often used. For this purpose, theoretical studies of national and foreign experts were analyzed, which included specific sociological surveys. Prospects for further work are assumed in a detailed study of the factors, conditions and mechanisms for the formation and development of soft skills in students of natural, engineering and technological, medical, social and humanitarian specialties.
Vocational education has been constantly blamed for training skills that are not suitable for the field. This study was sought for finding out the necessary skills for the hotel entry-level cooks by conducting in-depth interviews, questionnaires, and case studies in terms of NCS's basic competencies and competencies required at work environment. The results of this study are as follows: First, in the field, job performance ability is more important than skills and knowledge. Second, among the NCS's basic competencies, communication skills, interpersonal skills, self-development skills, information skills, and professional ethics are prioritized competencies for hotel-entry level cooks. Third, in terms of competency factors at work, it is necessary to learn the adaptability of the field. Fourth, in case of overseas culinary institutes, the core of their culinary education was the system to learn how to operate the site rather than the education about cooking skills or knowledge. Fifth, in holistic approach, the result showed that four elements which are skills, knowledge, field practice, and simulation training are required for Culinary Arts curriculum.
The present study explores the effect of blended action learning program on the improvement of the self-directed learning skills of university students. For this, students in the college of education at D University located in the capital area were selected to form 30 students of the experimental group and 30 of the control group. The average age of the subjects is 22.3. They are students in the $2^{nd}$ to $4^{th}$ year of university and the demographic background is relatively homogeneous. The experiment was conducted in the Sociology of Education class (a teacher training course). The self-directed learning skills were pre-tested at the beginning of the term. After that, the experimental group had the class with blended action learning program, and the control group had the class with action learning program. The post-test was carried out at the end of the term. For data analysis, ANCOVA was carried out to compare the scores on post-test of the two groups in consideration of the scores on the pre-test. The results show that first, for the improvement of self-directed learning skills of university students, blended action learning program is more effective than action learning program. Second, in the class for learners with lower degree of cognition and experience, blended action learning program was more effective than action learning program. Third, in terms of management of learning resources and utilization of learning strategies, both action learning program and blended action learning program were not effective. In summary, for improvement of the self-directed learning skills of university students, action learning program, which is a learning method focused on learner's participation and practice, is more effective than the traditional collective lecture among diverse teaching methods. Yet in consideration of the elementary level of university students in terms of intelligence and experience, active use of blended action learning program is required.
