  • The objective of this study is to examine the difference about manner of utilization and satisfaction on western and oriental medical care. The data came from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey in 2001 and 2005. The Andersen model of health behavior was employed to make this analysis. The major statistical methods used in this analysis are chi-square test and logistic regression. The major findings are as follows; Medical care is totally increased in 2005 in comparison with 2001, but medical care in the oriental side is decreased. There is no significant variables in predisposing factors such as sex, age, education level and spouse. Of health behavior factors, the average persons in health state are more favorable in oriental care rather than western care. Oriental care is favorably taken in health insurance subscribers and residents in a large city of enabling factors. The patients with musculoskeletal disease are more dependent in oriental care than western medical care. In conclusion, the findings show that it is largely related to patients' health state, medical insurance, living area and disease types to take oriental medical care. These characteristics should be considered in establishing policies of the oriental medical care in the future.

  • The Korean government has a new system for charging patient care for patients in hospital, on hold for the present(9 / 1995) but to start implementation in certain areas of patient care next year. From the latter half of next year the Ministry of Health and Welfare would like to start demonstration projects for hospitals who want to start using DRGs for frequently seen medical diagnosis and for patients with a course that is predictable and for whom non-insurance costs are minimal : such as the patient who has a delivery, cesarean deliveries, cataract surgery, tonsillectomy or an appendectomy, and apply the DRG system of payment for hospital care for these patients. The purpose of this study was to establish a recording system to give effective home health care to postpartum women and their newborns. Recently the government announced a DRG system to apply to postpartum women for pilot purposes starting next year. This gives impetus to the need to develop home care records that will allow for systematic recording and provide continuity and consistency in care across all health professionals and with in-depth communication between the professions to assure high quality care. There has been a rise in medical costs and a shortage of patient bed space in hospitals, particularly since the introduction of national medical insurance. The study focused on developing client selection criteria, a primary assessment tool, progress notes and nursing diagnoses applicable to postpartum and newborn clients. Selection criteria for home health care, assessment tool content, nurses progress notes and diagnoses were developed through a review of the literature, advice from professionals who are expert in home health care and actual practice in the use of recording tools through workshops. The recommendations based on the research results are as follows : 1) Replication and application of these tools is needed to test the validity of the tools 2) In order to have systematic nursing records standardization of records has to be done after nurses have had experience using them. 3) Reliability and validity of the tools has to be established through applicability to actual care situation.

  • Purpose : This study explores unmet medical services within a region for patients admitted to a single medical institution in one region and was to analyze the importance and satisfaction of hospital selection attributes. Through this, we tried to solve the unmet medical needs of patients and provide useful basic data in terms of hospital management in the region. Methods : It were collected to a total of 250 questionnaires for patients admitted to the regional integrative medical hospital. However, 232 samples were used for the final analysis, excluding 18 copies not reported in good faith. For the analysis, first, demographic frequency analysis of inpatients and inpatients was performed, and second, characteristics of patients, including frequent disease receiving treatment, were analyzed. Next, descriptive statistics analysis was conducted on unmet medical service intentions. In terms of hospital selection attribute, the items of continuity maintenance (I quadrant), priority visibility (II quadrant), low priority (III quadrant), and excessive effort (IV quadrant) were derived using the IPA (importance-performance analysis) matrix technique. Results : The derived results were classified by item and area. In the priority administration area, it was the reputation and recognition of medical institutions and the service area of medical institutions. In the case of items, there were 6 items including the importance of surgery and medical expenses, and diet at hospitalization. 1) Conclusion : Thus a result of this study, resources are efficiently allocated to priority correction areas with high importance but low satisfaction and circulatory medical treatment is performed in the departments required by patients who use medical care and, various methods, such as preparing a policy to support medical expenses, should be sought.

  • Purpose: This study aimed to provide baseline data for implementing advanced life-support for 119EMTs. This is done with an in-depth examination of the emergency care experiences of the 119EMTs on-site and during transportation. Methods: Interviews were conducted with twelve 119EMTs, and the data were analyzed using the phenomenological method. Results: The 34 topics had 19 sub-components and were analyzed according to seven categories: 'A work environment where you cannot focus only on emergency care on-site and during transportation', '119EMTs struggling with manpower shortage', 'Current status of education blocking the upward standardization of 119EMT', 'Implementation of professional emergency care was held back due to the limited legal scope of 119EMT', 'Medical oversight makes it difficult to implement emergency care due to low flexibility', '119EMTs who cannot choose hospital selection and find it difficult to receive help', 'An evaluation system not reflecting reality at all that only leaves high scores'. Conclusion: This study was undertaken to implement specialized emergency care for 119EMTs; not only the necessity of reviewing the expansion of the work scope of 119EMTs but also the necessity of effective 'Medical Oversight system' reorganization raised as well.

Questionnaires are given on March, 2000 and 273 questionnaires were collected. Two types of hospitals(Eye Hospital and University hospital) were combined and analyzed. The main results of this research is as following; 1. In general characteristics of the patients, the variables shown statistically a significant difference between Eye Hospital and University Hospital; The6 educational level and average income are significantly higher in University Hospital Patient. 2. University Hospitals were preferred by the factors of social relationship, social reputation. The critical factors in reference for Eye hospital were kindness, service speed and convenience. This study can be used as a baseline data for marketing planning of hospital management. • Recently, the importance of big data continues to be emphasized, and it is applied in various fields based on data mining techniques, which has a great influence on the health care industry. There are many healthcare industries, but only home health care is considered here. However, applying this to real problems does not always give perfect results, which is a problem. Therefore, data mining techniques are used to solve these problems, and the algorithms that affect performance are evaluated. This paper focuses on the effects of healthcare services on patient satisfaction and satisfaction. In order to use the CVParameterSelectin algorithm and the SMOreg algorithm of the classify method of data mining, it was evaluated based on the experiment and the verification of the results. In this paper, we analyzed the services of home health care institutions and the patient satisfaction analysis based on the name, address, service provided by the institution, mood of the patients, etc. In particular, we evaluated the results based on the results of cross validation using these two algorithms. However, the existence of variables that affect the outcome does not give a perfect result. We used the cluster analysis method of weka system to conduct the research of this paper.
