The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of teaching English through the techniques of storytelling with dramatization upon children's competence of English speaking and listening. These techniques are considered to enable children to have ample opportunity of use in and exposure to English, as well as interest. This study is sequenced as selecting stories by way of consulting literatures, developing a teaching model for practising classes through storytelling with dramatization, and analyzing the data resulting from the pre- and post-listening/speaking tests using the SPSS program. The results of this study can be summarized as follows: the experimental group shows better significance than the control one in the listening and speaking post-test. Therefore, literary units also need to be incorporated into English textbooks in order to improve children's aural-oral competence through the storytelling with dramatization.

This paper is about to research the contents of writing course to foster communication skills for engineering students. Some domestic college writing textbooks were analyzed to list the course contents. Studying 'technical writing' leads to identify the materials for both basic composition skills and technical writing skills. Then some reasons for selecting those materials and things about professors for the course as well as teaching the course are discussed. Developing proper textbook and the techniques for teaching those materials is a valuable task for the writing course.

The CAD system which enables to design and draw the screw thread gauges was developed and constructed. This system was proposed based on Visual C++ Version 5.0. Even beginner can get drawings as well as concerned data for the manufacturing of screw thread limit gauges by selecting the input data. This system was constructed from relevant standards and regulations (based on the Korean Standard and referred to ISO and JIS), handbooks and textbooks. The system shall provide more powerful and user friendly tool for design and drawing for screw thread gauges such as metric fine and coarse threads, unified fine and coarse threads, Parallel and taper pipe threads. The results of this system are proved to be in good agreement with concerned standards and regulations.

Pants is an item of clothes of which physical suitability for improvement of appearance and movement is greatly emphasized. The pattern design of pants is very important because the fitness of crotch region, which is difficult to measure, is structurally essential in pants. This study gives detailed pattern development data for the future pattern design by considering design factors related with crotch region of pants and by suggesting related data. For this study, we measured and analyzed the measuring size of each parts of pattern and the design methods related with crotch region selecting 20 textbooks used in universities and institutes of higher education. Through this study, crotch region of pants pattern related design data were obtained and this result could be a primary information in development and education of pants pattern.

The Purpose of this study is to present the basic data for selecting and improving the safety education contents which help practically middle school students through analysis of contents of safety education in 'field of home life' of 2009 revised middle school textbooks. The subjects of analysis are 12 types of middle school textbooks: in total 24 books written by 12 publishers in terms of the revised curriculum in 2009. The analysis criteria is developed by the researcher referring to preceding studies regarding safety education based on the seventh safety education standard presented by the Ministry of Education (2015). With such analysis criteria, all words related to the contents of the safety education of analysis criteria were extracted from each textbook, such as words directly mentioned as 'safety', words mean as 'psychological safety' and 'happy life', words related to 'attention', 'note', 'stability' etc. Under the analytic frame of safety education contents according to a home economics textbook, content analysis method was used for producing the frequency and percent of those words. The textbook analysis shows that the number of pages regarding safety education is 336.3 pages, as 9.8% in total 3,412 pages of 12 types of technology and home economics textbooks. As following the analysis of each textbook volume of the proportion in the contents related to safety education, 224.9 pages are on the first volume and 111.9 pages are on the second volume. As grades increase from year one to year three, the proportion of safety education in home economics textbooks is decreased. The highest number of safety education contents unit is 'Self-management of youth' which includes three parts of safety education. In the case of a unit for emphasizing practice, experience and practical exercise such as 'Life of youth' and 'Practice of eco-living', safety education content in the area of 'life safety' are mostly contained. Safety accidents related to the most student experienced, Household accidents (1.4%) and experiment or practice accidents (0.3%) are presented in a low figure. The contents of universal housing and school violence are duplicated on first and second volume of text. The most presented safety education content in the 12 types of textbooks are proper sexual attitude, dietary problems, family conflict and food choice. The least common contents are dangerous drugs, family welfare, internet addiction and industrial accident compensation insurance. As this study is to analyze 12 textbooks developed in 2009 revision curriculum, it is necessary to compare it with the textbook written by the revised curriculum in 2015 and to clarify the contents system of safety education and to avoid duplication of contents. In addition, it is necessary to develop and distribute a safety education program that can support textbooks.

In this study the meaning and necessity for self-regulation in managing and organizing the national curriculum is researched in order to reflect the reality that the tide of regionalization appears apparently with globalism. Hwacheon is chosen and applied as an example region for selecting and forming a new learning content in geography education and teaching and learning that content. The regional geography should be learned in high schools according to the approach of regional textbooks being made and used now in primary and middle schools, and the contents of textbooks should be properly reorganized in accordance with the students' school ages rather than organized simply with enumerating geographic facts in a row. And the contents should be organized centering on the learners' daily living sphere. In addition, teaching-learning method should be taken into consideration according to the scale of the regions. Consequently, in this study small-scaled area was chosen as a learning content, laying stress on daily lives within the living zone, and therefore field work is considered as a learning method.

The primary purpose of this study is to analyze the learning activities of "the Reading a Book per Semester" with the goal of finding ways to collaborate with the school library. "the Reading a Book per Semester" is a program that requires students to read during the timetable-designated "Korean" class instead of encouraging students to read outside of class, as has been the case thus far. The program was designed by 3 parts: reading, sharing, and formulating. However, an analysis of 11 Korean textbooks and 22 approaches to the program showed that the model has shifted to . Under this new model, schools could expand each step in the following ways: utilize the school libraries more as the book search space during the selection process; include writing a reading diary in the reading process; and further encourage students to read outside of the classrooms in the formulating step. If these amendments were to be applied, they would strengthen the educational purpose of the school libraries within schools.

The purpose of this study is to develop ICT utilization learning materials for a chapter titled 'Environment Friendly Clothing and Reform of Clothing' in technology and home economics textbooks for Year 2 students in middle school. The research methods were selected from ten types of junior high school technology textbooks, which were revised in 2009, and mainly focused on items such as jeans, shirts, shirts, cardigans, and skirts, Using selected textiles and basic design t-shirts, five works were made using structural and decorative details. The results of this study are as follows. First, textile products shown in the chapter 'Environment Friendly Clothing and Reform of Clothing' are most commonly worn and found in daily life. With regard to a reuse method, structural changes to clothing are proposed. For example, cases relating to the changing of a neckline or the use of a shirt or a sleeve are presented. There are some decoration methods adapted in reuse; using ornaments, such as spangles and emblems, patchwork, shirring and the constucting of collages. Second, following the plan, 5 items are designed with T-shirts, shirts, cardigans and skirts. For the T-shirt design, other fabrics including organza and neoplan are used from design point of view, in addition to reused textile products. Detailed structural changes of necklines, sleeves and collars and detailed and the ornamentation method including shirring, smoking, patchwork and collages are used. Third, this study proposes 6 categories (profile, design planning, diagram, reused textile product, production method and order and pictures of T-shirts developed) under the title of 'T-shirt Made Out of Disposed Clothing', selecting a blog as active teaching and learning material as a part of the ICT utilization in educational settings.

This study aims at selecting contents of a text book, 'Understanding on Steel', and at presenting compilation methods of that book based on the previous researches on teaching young meister of steel industry. To do that, this, first analyzes subject profiles of textbooks on 'Understanding on Steel' to make questionnaires for the textbook compilation. Second, this study selects textbook contents improved through interviews. Third, this study revises, and complements broad contents, and selects detail units by selected professional committee which is composed of textbook researchers and editor groups. The research results are as follows: First, this study confirms that the formation of the broad contents of 'Understanding on Steel' presented in textbook profiles are appropriate, Second, this study selects subjects of detailed units along with the middle units of 'Understanding on Steel' by selecting parts needed to be improved in terms of the textbook formation. Third, this study presents the text formation system for the broad, middle and detailed units of the textbook, 'Understanding on Steel'.
