Lycoris속(屬)의 종자발아(種子發芽) 특성(特性) 연구(硏究) (Studies on the Characteristics of Seed Germination of Lycoris genera)

  • Lycoris의 종자발아(種子發芽) 특성(特性)을 구명(究明)하고자 온도(溫度), 채종시기(採種時期)와 파종시기(播種時期), 파종용토(播種用土)과 용토(用土)의 수분량(水分量) 및 광선(光線)의 유무(有無)가 종자발아(種子發芽)에 미치는 영향(影響)을 조사(調査)한 결과(結果)는 다음과 같다. 1. 백양꽃과 개상사화(想思花)는 90% 이상 결실(結實)하였고 종자성숙(種子成熟)은 $9{\sim}10$월 상순(上旬)으로 나타났는데 60% 이상의 발아율(發芽率)을 얻는데는 6개월이 소요되었다. 2. 발아적온(發芽適溫)은 $25^{\circ}C$로 나타났고 변온처리(變溫處理)는 $20,\;25^{\circ}C$에서 효과적(效果的)이었다. 3. 채종적기(採種適期)는 9월(月) 20일(日)경이었고 파종시기(播種時期)는 채종(採種) 즉시 파종(播種)하는 것이 가장 좋았다. 4. 파종용토(播種用土)은 사양토가 가장 좋았고 용토(用土)의 수분량(水分量)은 용토(用土) 400mg당 PF 1. 9가 가장 적당하였다. 4. 종자발아(種子發芽)는 암조건(暗條件)이 명조건(明條件)보다 좋은 것으로 나타났다.

홍화설기의 재료 배합비에 따른 관능적.텍스쳐 특성 (Sensory and mechanical characteristics of Hongwhasulgi by various ratios of Ingredient)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the sensory and mechanical characteristics, moisture content and color values of Hongwhasulgi by varying the quantity of Safflower seed powder and the types of sugar used. As a result of the quantitative analysis, it was found that as more Safflower seed powder was added to the non-glutinous rice powder, the tastiness, sweetness and coarseness of the resultant rice cake tasted almost the same as that of the raw seeds. When the quantity of the seed powder was the same, Hongwhasulgi with sugar added was moister than that with oligosaccharide, and as more seed powder was added, the rice cake became less chewy. The preference of flavor did not differ significantly among the samples. As a result of analyzing the texture, Hongwhasulgi with more Safflower seed power added and oligosaccharide used exhibited greater hardness, adhesiveness, gumminess and chewiness but lower cohesiveness, whereas springiness did not differ significantly among the samples. The moisture content of Hongwhasulgi ranged from $32.35{\sim}39.87%$. Hongwhasulgi with the sugar added was significantly moister than that with oligosaccharide added(p<0.05). Based on the above results, it is considered that the most desirable mix ratio for Hongwhasulgi is non-glutinous rice powder 190 g(95%), Safflower seed power 10 g(5%), sugar 20 g, salt 2 g, and water 35 mL.

압출성형공정을 이용한 삼 종자 후레이크 제조 (Manufacturing of Hemp Seed Flake by Using Extrusion Process)

  • 경제적 잠재성이 큰 삼 종자의 식품소재로서의 활용을 모색하고자 삼 종자의 일반성분을 측정하였고 삼 종자 첨가 압출성형펠릿의 호화양상을 분석하기 위하여 페이스트 점도를 측정하였다. 또한 삼 종자 후레이크의 체적밀도, 색도, 압착강도, 수분용해지수와 수분흡착지수, 조직감 유지 시간(bowl life) 등의 품질특성을 조사하였다. 압출성형 공정조건은 배럴온도 90, 100, 110$^{\circ}C$, 수분함량 35%이었다. 삼 종자의 수분, 조단백질, 조지방, 조회분함량은 각각 5.67${\pm}$0.02, 25.93${\pm}$0.16, 28.21${\pm}$0.56, 7.70${\pm}$0.08%이었다. 압출성형 펠릿의 페이스트 점도 측정결과 삼 종자 펠릿의 제조에 적합한 압출성형 배럴온도는 100-110$^{\circ}C$인 것으로 판단되었다. 삼 종자 후레이크의 체적밀도는 0.24-0.43 g/mL 범위로 배럴온도가 증가함에 따라 감소하는 경향을 나타내었다. 명도와 압착강도는 삼 종자 첨가량이 증가함에 따라 크게 감소하는 경향을 나타내었다. 배럴온도가 90$^{\circ}C$에서 110$^{\circ}C$로 증가함에 따라 수분용해지수는 감소하는 경향을 나타내었고 수분흡착지수는 증가하는 경향을 나타내었다. 조직감 유지시간은 5.8-15.5분 범위로 삼 종자 첨가량의 증가에 따라 감소하였다. 관능검사 결과 전체적인 기호도는 삼 종자 첨가량 20%일 때 가장 높은 값을 나타내었다.

Changes in Level of Several Functional Components and ACE-Inhibitory Activity in Developing Soybean Seeds

  • Soybean quality is determined based on protein content, lipid content and fatty acid composition, and several functional components including isoflavones, anthocyanins and functional activity. Because the level of each component changes during seed development, it is necessary to know the concentration of quality-related components in developing seeds. Little is known of the pattern of changes in quality-related components. Seeds from field-grown soybean was harvest from the $R_6$ stage to the $R_8$ stage in 2004. Seed characteristics and the level of nutritional components were examined. Seed moisture content was dropped rapidly after the $R_7$ stage in the tested varieties. Seed growth rate was the highest from the beginning of the $R_6$ stage to the mid-$R_6$ stage. Chlorophyll content was decreased rapidly in pods and seeds. However, seed growth period from the $R_6\;to\;R_8$ was 35 days. The crude protein content was. increased dramatically between 63 DAF and 70 DAF and then increased slightly. The pattern of isoflavone accumulation was nearly similar to that of seed weight increase. From the late $R_6$ stage to the $R_7$, the accumulation rate was higher as compared to other stages. The angiotensin inhibitory activity was increased according to seed development from 63 ($R_6$) to 84 DAF ($R_8$). The difference of inhibitory activity in heated soybean powder, however, was not great among stages. The inhibitory activity was affected by heating treatment. The most effective heating time was 10 min. Excessive heating longer than 30 min resulted in a lowered inhibitory activity of soybean on ACE.

황칠나무 잎 및 종실의 화학적 특성 (Chemical Characteristics of the Leaves and the Seeds of Korean Dendropanax (Dendropanax morbifera Lev.))

  • 황칠나무 잎과 종실의 일반성분을 분석한 결과 수분은 잎에 70.2%, 종실에 72.6%, 지방은 종실에 0.6%, 잎에 2.7%, 회분은 잎에 1.7%, 종실에 0.9%가 각각 함유된 것으로 분석되었고 단백질은 잎에 1.2%, 종실에 6.2%, 섬유는 잎에 5.1%, 종실에 9.0%가 함유된 것으로 분석되었다. 총 비타민 C는 잎(56.9 mg%)이 종실(10.7 mg%)보다 더 많이 함유하였고 수용성 탄닌함량도 잎(746.1 mg%)이 종실(60.7 mg%)보다 더 높은 것으로 분석되었다. 잎과 종실에 함유된 유리당은 주로 sucrose, glucose 및 fructose로 구성되어 있었으며 종실에는 잎에서 검출되지 않은 turanose와 xylose가 적은 양이지만 검출된 것이 특징이었다. 지방산 조성은 불포화 지방산의 함유율이 더 높았으나 잎과 종실에 가장 많이 함유된 포화 지방산 및 불포화 지방산은 서로 달라 지방산 조성이 약간 차이가 있음을 알 수 있었다. 유리 아미노산 함량은 낮은 편이었고 주요 아미노산은 일과 종실 모두 arginine, aspartic acid, glutamic acid등으로 비슷하였으며, 무기성분은 잎에는 칼슘, 종실에는 칼슘이 가장 많이 함유된 것으로 밝혀졌다.

  • Effects of soil moisture on growth of Panax ginseng, of various factors on soil moisture, and of moisture on nutrition, quality, physiological disorder, diseases and insect damage were reviewed. Optimum soil moisture was 32% of field capacity with sand during seed dehiscence, and 55-65% for plant growth in the fields. Optimum soil moisture content for growth was higher for aerial part than for root and higher for width than for length. Soil factors for high yield in ginseng fields appeared to be organic matter, silt, clay, agreggation, and porosity that contributed more to water holding capacity than rain fall did, and to drainage. Most practices for field preparation aimed to control soil moisture rather than nutrients and pathogens. Light intensity was a primary factor affecting soil moisture content through evaporation. Straw mulching was best for the increase of soil moisture especially in rear side of bed. Translocation to aerial part was inhibited by water stress in order of Mg, p, Ca, N an Mn while accelerated in order of Fe, Zn and K. Most physiological disorders(leaf yellowing, early leaf fall, papery leaf spot, root reddening, root scab, root cracking, root dormancy) and quality factors were mainly related to water stress. Most critical diseases were due to stress, excess and variation of soil water, and heavy rain fall. The role of water should be studied in multidiciplinary, especially in physiology and pathology.

저선량 방사선 조사 시 종자수분함량이 채소류의 발아와 초기생장에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Low Dose Gamma Radiation and Seed Moisture Content on Germination and Early Growth of Vegetable Crops)

  • 채소종자의 발아와 초기생장에 대한 저선량 방사선과 종자수분 함량의 영향을 알아보고자 배추, 무, 고추, 호박 참박 각각의 건조종자와 습윤종자에 저선량 감마선을 $0{\sim}20\;Gy$ 수준으로 조사하였다. 수분함량을 상이하게 하여 관찰한 발아와 초기생장에 미치는 저선량 방사선 효과는 작물종에 따라 다르게 나타났다. 발아율의 경우는 건조종자보다 습윤종자에서 대체로 높았으며 저선량 효과는 배추와 호박의 습윤종자4 Gy와 2 Gy에서 각각 33%와 13% 증가하여 뚜렷한 효과를 보였고, 참박은 건조종자 $4{\sim}8\;Gy$에서 높았다. 초기생장은 습윤종자에서 뚜렷한 효과를 보여 배추와 무는 10 Gy, 호박은 2 Gy, 참박은 8 Gy에서 $6{\sim}26%$ 정도 증가하였다. 이러한 초기생장 촉진효과는 저선량 방사선과 수분함량 상호간에 유의적인 차이를 보였으며 특히 배추와 참박에서 가장 높았다. 즉, 채소 종자의 수분함량을 상이하게 하여 저선량 방사선의 효과를 조사한 결과 적정 수분함량에서 발아와 유묘생장이 촉진됨을 확인할 수 있었다.

Differences of Antioxidative Level in the Leaves and Seed Germinability among Five Natural Populations of Hibiscus hamabo

  • Variations in antioxidant capacity of leaves and characteristics of seed germination among five Hibiscus hamabo populations in Korea were evaluated. While the leaves of H. hamabo from Shincheon contained highest Na concentration, those from Hado and Ohzo does lowest. MDA content and SOD activity didn't show significant difference among populations, but total protein and anthocyanin content were significantly different among five populations. The filled seed rates of five populations were ranged from 92.0 to 98.7%, and the moisture contents of seeds from Shinyang and Soando were lower than that of R. syriacus (5.18%). The fresh weights of H. hamabo from Hado and Ohzo were the highest and those of seeds from Shinyang and Soando were the lowest. Significant variations among H. hamabo populations were detected for all seed germination characters: percentage of germination, average germination time and germination rate and uniformity. SOD activities of seeds from Onpyoung and Soando were the highest of five populations, and total protein concentrations of seeds in Ohzo and Shinyang populations were higher than those of other populations. H. hamabo is considered exposed to salt stress and all characteristics of seed germinations were inferior to other species.

유채 종자의 물리적 특성(II) (Physical Properties of Rapeseed (II))

  • Some physical properties of rapeseed were measured at five moisture levels of 10.03, 14.91, 20.07, 25.06 and 30.12% (w.b.), which include frictional properties (coefficient of static friction, emptying and filling angle of repose) and aerodynamic properties (terminal velocity and drag coefficient). The physical properties of rapeseed were evaluated as a function of seed moisture content. In the moisture content range, the coefficients of static friction, emptying and filling angle of repose increased linearly with increase of moisture content. The maximum values of coefficients of static friction were on the acrylic surface, varied from 0.34 to 0.43; the next is on the galvanized steel, varied from 0.30 to 0.38; and the minimum were on stainless steel surface, varied from 0.27 to 0.35. Emptying and filling angle of repose varied from 26.12 to 29.62 and 23.83 to 27.05 degrees, respectively. Terminal velocity increased linearly from 3.47 to 3.91 m/s with increase of moisture content. Drag coefficient varied from 1.84 to 1.64 as the moisture content increased. The relationship between drag coefficient and moisture content were expressed by non-linear equation.

개갑처리재료, 생장조절제 및 살충제가 고려인삼종자의 개갑에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Various Dehiscence Materials, Growth Regulators and Fungicides on the of Ginseng Seed ( Panax ginseng C A. Meyer ))

  • The effects of various dehiscent application such as dehiscent materials (big chaffs, vermiculite etc.), growth regulators and agricultural chemicals (plant protector.) on stimulation of dehiscence and shortening of dehiscent period were investigated Results obtained were as follows : 1. The moisture content of endosperm and seed coat at 10 day after dehiscent application amounts between 40% and 50%. 2. Endosperm diameter was increased with time of stratification, and the embryo growth showed in linear function, 3. Non-dehiscent seed showed also normally development of embryo, and the property of dehiscence dependent from physico-chemical nature of ginseng seed coat. 4. The best dehiscent materials were big chaffs and followed vermiculite, sand and sand with big chaffs. 5. The effect of dehiscence of ginseng seed showed higher activity in fungi than in bacteria in general. 6. Agricultural chemicals ( plant Protector) reduced the dehiscent rate of ginseng seed 7. The best timing of dehiscent treatment was between August 1 and August 10 but the smaller amount of dehiscent rate after August 10 dehiscent appllication indicated that big chaffs and growth regulator treatment may be controlled shortening of dehiscent period of ginseng seed.
