비탈면녹화용 몇가지 자생식물의 종자발아특성 (Seed Germination Characteristics of Korean Native Plants for Slope Restoration and Revegetation)

  • The differences in seed germination rates of Korean Native Plants were observed depending on the harvest years, the seed companies, the storage periods, the drying methods and the plant morphological types. The seed germination rates were changed significantly by the harvest years and the seed companies in all 4 species tested. The seed germination rates were decreased after 1 year storage at $4^{\circ}C$ in all 8 species tested and three of them did not germinate at all. A rapid drying method at $35^{\circ}C$ with a convection oven was not suitable for Chrysanthemum spp., but there were no significant changes of germination rates in Aster spp. The germination rates were decreased more at seeding in soil than at lab. test with Dicotyledon but no significant changes with Monocotyledon. Especially, the germination rates of fine seed on 5mm soil covering treatment were significantly decreased.

Hybrid CNN-SVM Based Seed Purity Identification and Classification System

  • Manual seed classification challenges can be overcome using a reliable and autonomous seed purity identification and classification technique. It is a highly practical and commercially important requirement of the agricultural industry. Researchers can create a new data mining method with improved accuracy using current machine learning and artificial intelligence approaches. Seed classification can help with quality making, seed quality controller, and impurity identification. Seeds have traditionally been classified based on characteristics such as colour, shape, and texture. Generally, this is done by experts by visually examining each model, which is a very time-consuming and tedious task. This approach is simple to automate, making seed sorting far more efficient than manually inspecting them. Computer vision technologies based on machine learning (ML), symmetry, and, more specifically, convolutional neural networks (CNNs) have been widely used in related fields, resulting in greater labour efficiency in many cases. To sort a sample of 3000 seeds, KNN, SVM, CNN and CNN-SVM hybrid classification algorithms were used. A model that uses advanced deep learning techniques to categorise some well-known seeds is included in the proposed hybrid system. In most cases, the CNN-SVM model outperformed the comparable SVM and CNN models, demonstrating the effectiveness of utilising CNN-SVM to evaluate data. The findings of this research revealed that CNN-SVM could be used to analyse data with promising results. Future study should look into more seed kinds to expand the use of CNN-SVMs in data processing.

수수의 종자형태 및 발아세 평가 (Evaluation of Seed Vigor and Morphology by Varietal Difference of Sorghum (Sorghum bicolor (L.) Moench))

  • 본 연구는 수요와 재배면적이 점차 확대되고 있는 수수의 안정적인 생산을 확립하기 위한 기초자료로 활용하고자 주요 4품종(남풍찰, 동안메, 황금찰, 흰찰)을 이용하여 종자의 형태적 특성과 다양한 종자세 검사 등 종자의 기본적인 특성을 알아보았다. 1. 수수의 형태적 특성에서는 폭을 제외한 장과 두께는 차이가 나타나지 않았으며, 종실형태는 흰찰은 원형, 나머지 품종은 난형의 형상으로 보였다. 종피색에서는 흰찰과 나머지 품종간의 뚜렷한 차이를 보이며, 남풍찰과 황금찰은 무광택 종자이었다. 2. 표준발아검사 및 저온검사는 황금찰>남풍찰>동안메>흰찰 순으로 나타났고, 노화촉진검사에서는 표준발아 검사와 비교시 동안메에서만 15% 이상의 감소를 보였으며, 전기전도율 검사는 표준발아검사, 저온검사 및 노화촉진검사의 발아율과 부의 상관관계를 나타났다. 3. 출현율 평가에서는 황금찰이 가장 높은 85.7%로, 가장 낮은 출현율을 보인 흰찰보다 40% 이상의 차이가 나타났고, 평균 출현율일수에서는 흰찰이 가장 느린 6.0일로 보이며 품종별 뚜렷한 차이가 나타났다.

마가목 6개 천연집단의 열매와 종자 형질 변이 (Variation of Fruit and Seed Morphology of 6 Natural Populations of Sorbus commixta Hedl. in Korea)

  • 본 연구는 국내 분포하는 마가목의 집단간 및 집단내 개체간 열매와 종자 형태에 대한 변이를 조사하였다. 6개 천연집단의 42개 개체목에서 열매를 채취하여 열매특성 6가지와 종자특성 4가지를 분석하였다. 모든 특성들에서 집단간 및 집단내 개체간에 유의적인 차이가 인정되었다. 특히, 결실지당 열매수와 열매당 종자수 특성은 전체 분산 가운데 집단이 차지하는 비율이 큰 것으로 나타났다. 변이계수 값은 결실지당 열매수와 종자무게 특성이 다른 특성들(11.9~32.1%)에 비해 높은 42.0~75.3%의 값을 나타냈다. 상관분석결과 결실지당 열매수 특성은 위도와는 정의 상관관계를 보였으며, 경도와는 부의 상관관계를 각각 나타냈다. 군집분석결과 지리적으로 가까운 집단들이 유전적으로 가깝게 묶이는 경향을 나타냈다. 주성분분석결과 집단간의 유연관계에 의미를 갖는 3개 주성분을 도출하였는데 전체 분산에 대한 설명력은 87%였다. 제1주성분은 종자길이와 종자무게, 제2주성분은 열매폭과 종자지수, 제3주성분은 열매길이와 결실지당 열매수 특성이 높은 기여도를 나타냈다.

현지외 보존을 위한 죽절초 종자의 건조 내성과 저장성 평가 (Desiccation Tolerance and Storage Behavior of Sarcandra glabra Seeds for Use in ex-situ Conservation)

  • 본 연구는 죽절초의 현지외 보존 전략 수립을 위해 종자의 건조 내성과 저장성에 관한 정보를 얻고자 수행되었다. 이를 위해 죽절초 종자의 기본적인 발아 특성을 조사하고, 종자 함수율을 수준별로 조절하여 발아 특성 및 종자 침출수를 분석하였으며, 저장성 평가를 위해 저장 기간별 발아 특성을 조사하였다. 죽절초 종자의 탈종 직후 함수율은 32.8%였으며, 채취 직후의 종자는 함수율 4.8% 수준에서도 발아율 81.0%로 종자 활력과 종자세를 유지하였으나, 함수율 2.3%, 2.2%에서는 발아율이 각각 55.0%, 30.0%로 감소하였다. 반면, 저장된 종자는 함수율 18.6%에서 발아율이 93.3%로 높은 활력과 종자세를 유지하였으나, 함수율 5% 미만에서는 발아율이 20%이하로 활력과 종자세가 크게 감소하였다. 또한, 수준별로 건조한 종자의 침출수를 분석한 결과, 건조에 의해 발아 활력이 저하된 종자는 침출수의 전기전도도가 높게 나타났고, 침출수 내 K, Ca와 같은 무기질의 농도도 증가하였다. 결론적으로, 죽절초 종자는 난저장성 종자와 중간저장성 종자 사이의 건조 내성을 가지나, 노화 정도에 따라 건조 내성에 차이가 있고, 저장 수명이 짧은 단명종자로 판단된다.

휴폭 및 이른 봄 질소비료 시용량이 오차드그라스의 생육특성 및 종자생산에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Drill Widths and Nitrogen Application Levels in Early Spring on the Growth Characteristics and Seed Productivity of Orchardgrass (Dactylis glomerata L.))

  • Growth characteristics and seed productivities of orchardgrass "Hwabsung 2 Ho" cultivated for seed production were examined in the NLRI from 2000 to 2002. The experimental design was a split-plot arrangement with three replications. The main-plots were three drill widths of 15, 30 and 45cm, and subplots were four nitrogen application levels of 45, 90, 135 and 180kg/ha in early spring. Lodging was less in 45cm of drill width than in 15 and 30cm and was not severe by 90kg per ha of nitrogen including 45cm of drill width. Number of panicles per $1\m^2$ was tended to be more in 15cm of drill width than in 30 or 45cm. Among 45cm of drill widths. 45kg per ha of nitrogen had most numerous panicles. Panicle length, number of 1st branch, weight of 1,000 grain, and germination of 30 or 45cm of drill width showed better characters than that of 15cm. Seed yield was not statistical different among the treatments but was some more in 30cm of drill width, and was tended not to be different among nitrogen levels. Therefore, considering lodging tolerances, seed yield components, and mechanizations, treatment with 45cm of drill width including 45kg per ha of nitrogen in early spring was better than other treatments for orchardgrass seed production.

홍화설기의 재료 배합비에 따른 관능적.텍스쳐 특성 (Sensory and mechanical characteristics of Hongwhasulgi by various ratios of Ingredient)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the sensory and mechanical characteristics, moisture content and color values of Hongwhasulgi by varying the quantity of Safflower seed powder and the types of sugar used. As a result of the quantitative analysis, it was found that as more Safflower seed powder was added to the non-glutinous rice powder, the tastiness, sweetness and coarseness of the resultant rice cake tasted almost the same as that of the raw seeds. When the quantity of the seed powder was the same, Hongwhasulgi with sugar added was moister than that with oligosaccharide, and as more seed powder was added, the rice cake became less chewy. The preference of flavor did not differ significantly among the samples. As a result of analyzing the texture, Hongwhasulgi with more Safflower seed power added and oligosaccharide used exhibited greater hardness, adhesiveness, gumminess and chewiness but lower cohesiveness, whereas springiness did not differ significantly among the samples. The moisture content of Hongwhasulgi ranged from $32.35{\sim}39.87%$. Hongwhasulgi with the sugar added was significantly moister than that with oligosaccharide added(p<0.05). Based on the above results, it is considered that the most desirable mix ratio for Hongwhasulgi is non-glutinous rice powder 190 g(95%), Safflower seed power 10 g(5%), sugar 20 g, salt 2 g, and water 35 mL.

원료 쌀과 누룩의 처리 및 첨가방법이 다른 전통주의 발효특성 비교 (Comparison of Fermentation Characteristics of Korean Traditional Alcoholic Beverage with Different Input Step and Treatment of Rice and Nuruk (Korean-Style Bran Koji))

  • Physicochemical and sensory characteristics of Korean traditional alcoholic beverages, such as Kwahaju, Sokokju, Baikhaju, Samhaeju and Hosanchun were investigated during fermentation with the difference of input step and treatment of rice and Nuruk (Korean-style bran koji). pH values in all treatments were similar to be ranged $3.1{\sim}3.2$, but acidity of the treatment brewed without seed mash was $1.5{\sim}2$ times higher than that of the treatment brewed with seed mash. The concentration of alcohol in all treatments increased as the concentration of the Nuruk increased. The alcohol concentrations of Samhaeju and Hosanchun ranging from 6.5% to 7.7% were higher than those of Kwahaju, Sokokju and Baikhaju ranging from 7.9% to 10.6%. Residual reducing sugar contents of Kwahaju, Sokokju and Baikhaju ranging from 4.6 g/L to 9.7 g/L were lower than those of Samhaeju and Hosanchun ranging from 14.2 g/L to 15.5 g/L. The consumed total sugar contents of Kwahaju, Sokokju and Baikhaju ranging from 125.4 g/L to 159.2 g/L were higher than those of Samhaeju and Hosanchun ranging from 111.2 g/L to 123.8 g/L, and the treatments brewed with seed mash showed more sugar consumption than the treatments brewed without seed mash. Sensory quality in the treatments brewed with seed mash was better than those of without seed mash. Concentration of Nuruk and preparation of seed mash from it were critical factors compared to input step and treatment of rice in Korean traditional alcoholic beverage brewing.

뜰단풍의 성 형태, 결실특성 및 종자활력 (Sex Morph, Fruiting Characteristics, and Seed Viability of Acer palmatum var. matsumurae (Koidz.) Makino)

  • 단풍나무속에 흔하다고 알려진 이형자웅이숙현상을 파악해 보고자, 원주지역에 생육 중인 뜰단풍(Acer palmatum var. matsumurae) 101주를 대상으로 성 형태, 결실특성 및 종자활력에 대하여, 2010년 4월 초순부터 10월 하순까지 조사하였다. 101주의 뜰단풍 중에서 74개체(73.3%)에서는 수꽃이 먼저 개화하고, 암술은 흔적기관인 웅예선숙(雄蕊先熟)개체 (Protandrous, PA)였으며, 27개체(26.7%)는 암꽃이 먼저 개화하고, 수술이 소실되는 웅예선숙(雄蕊先熟) 개체(Protgynous, PG)로 뜰단풍은 이형자웅이숙(異型雌雄異熟: heterodichogamy)하는 것이 밝혀졌다. 성형태에 따른 화서당 꽃 수와 종자셑 수는 통계적 유의차가 인정되었으며, 웅예선숙 개체가 자예선숙 개체보다 많았다. 건전종자와 부후종자의 비율에서는 성 형태 간의 통계적 유의성이 인정되었다. 건전종자의 비율이 웅예선숙 개체에서 46.4%였으며, 자예선숙 개체에서는 65.6%로 나타났다. 부후종자의 비율은 웅예선숙 개체에서는 49.6%였으며, 자예선숙 개체에서는 23.6%로 나타났다. 성형태간의 부후종자율의 차이는 암꽃의 개화시기와 종실가해 해충들의 활동시기와 관련이 있을 것이라 사료된다.

Dormancy-breaking and Germination of Chelidonium majus L. subsp. asiaticum H. Hara Seeds by Stratification and Gibberellins

  • The demand for Chelidonium majus L. subsp. asiaticum H. Hara is expected to increase due to its pharmacological properties such as antibacterial, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory effects. However, an effective propagation system for this species has not yet been established. This study was conducted to analyze the seed dormancy and germination characteristics of C. majus L. subsp. asiaticum H. Hara native to Korea and establish a mass propagation system. The dormancy type was primarily classified by analyzing the general information of the collected seeds. The seed dormancy breaking was investigated by comparing the effects of cold stratification (0, 2, 4, 8, 10, or 12 weeks) with warm stratification (S, summer temperature, 25/15℃) and intermediate temperature stratification (A, autumn temperature, 15/10℃) of alternating temperature stratification (S12-A4 or S12-A8 weeks). After dormancy break, 500 mg/L GA3 and GA4+7 treatment replaced cold stratification and improved seed germination. The results of this study are expected to provide basic data for future seed propagation and mass propagation by analyzing the dormancy and germination characteristics of C. majus L. subsp. asiaticum H. Hara seeds.
