강성 배분비를 고려한 고강성화 경량화 차체 설계 (Design of High Stiffness and Lightweight Body for Stiffness Distribution Ratio)

  • Lightweight body due to the decrease of panel thickness and reinforcing member might cause low stiffness. On the other hand, high stiffness body requires an increase of mass. Front pillar section area has been decreased for increasing the driver's visual field. Global vehicle stiffness is affected by stiffness distribution ratio between upper part and lower part at a side body structure. This paper describes a process used to evaluate the stiffness distribution ratio based on strain energy. In addition, optimum design schemes are presented for high stiffness and lightweight body structure considering the investigated stiffness distribution ratio.

합성수지의 보강비율에 따른 목재의 휨 보강 성능에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Flexural Capacity of Wooden Member According to the Reinforcement Ratio of Synthetic Resin)

  • Most of the cultural assets in Korea are wooden structures. Due to the material characteristics of wood, the preservation of traditional wooden structure is impossible by simple maintenance. Damaged member is replaced with new member or completely dissolve and restore them. But member has a cultural value, so that it is impossible to arbitrarily replace each member. Although the preservation treatment method using synthetic resin is emphasized, there is no exact standard for proper reinforcement ratio. This paper is experimental study for reinforcement ratio of wooden flexural member with synthetic resins, Reinforced ratio on section area of flexural member. As a result, synthetic resin reinforcement are selected as experimental variables by proper ratio enhanced flexural capacity of reinforced wooden member than new wooden member.

Experimental and numerical study of a proposed steel brace with a localized fuse

  • In this paper, a particular type of all-steel HSS brace members with a locally reduced cross-sectional area was experimentally and numerically investigated. The brace member was strengthened against local buckling with inner and outer boxes in the reduced area. Four single-span braced frames were tested under cyclic lateral loadings. Specimens included a simple steel frame with a conventional box-shaped brace and three other all-steel reduced section buckling-restrained braces. After conducting the experimental program, numerical models of the proposed brace were developed and verified with experimental results. Then the length of the proposed fuse was increased and its effect on the cyclic behavior of the brace was investigated numerically. Eventually, the brace was detailed with a fuse-to-brace length of 30%, as well as the cross-sectional area of the fuse-to-brace of 30%, and the cyclic behavior of the system was studied numerically. The study showed that the proposed brace is stable up to a 2% drift ratio, and the plastic cumulative deformation requirement of AISC (2016) is easily achieved. The proposed brace has sufficient ductility and stability and is lighter, as well as easier to be fabricated, compared to the conventional mortar-filled BRB and all-steel BRB.

맥동연소온수기의 연소실과 노도의 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션 (A Computer Simulation of the Combustion and Flueway of a Pulse Combustion Water Heater)

  • In this study, the computer simulation for the heat transfer in pulse combustion water heater is performed. The attention is focused to the effects of the installation of corebuster in the flue tube on heat transfer. The energy equations are established for both wall and gas side in the combustion chamber, flue way, exhaust chamber and muffler, and the numerical calculation is executed. Zone method takes longer computer calculation time compared with semi-zone method. Semi-zone method is chosen for numerical calculation. As a result of this study, it is found that the installation of the core buster in flue tube increases total heat transfer. It is also found that the total heat transfer is increased with the increasing of the ratio of the cross section area of corebuster to that of the flue tube. However, the heat transfer effect is negligible for the area ratio above 0.5.

  • This paper is to study the effect of rectilinear confinement in high-strength concrete subjected to a monotonically increasing compressive axial loads. To investigate behavior of columns rectilinearly confined with lateral ties and longitudinal rebars, twelve specimens including two plain concrete specimens were tested. The main variables in this study are volumetric ratio of lateral ties, cistribution of lateral ties, yield strength of logitudinal steel, ratio of area of longitudinal steel to the area of cross section. The test results were not only compared with an empirical model for the stress-strain curve of rectilinearly confined high-strength concrete but also the existing model. The empirical model used calculating column capacity shows better agreement with the test results tham the existing model.

철도터널 화재시 단면적별 제연풍속에 따른 대피특성 연구 (A study on evacuation characteristic by cross-sectional areas and smoke control velocity at railway tunnel fire)

  • 본 연구에서는 정량적 위험도 평가를 위한 시나리오 구축시 제반인자가 화재안전성에 미치는 영향을 검토하기 위하여 대피로 폭에 따른 하차시간을 분석하고 단면적별로 제연풍속, 제연방향, 대피방향의 상관관계에 따른 화재특성 및 대피특성을 분석하였다. 적용 단면적은 복선고속철도는 $97m^2$, 단선고속철도는 $58m^2$, 단선일반철도는 $38m^2$로 하였으며, 터널풍속은 0.5~3.5 m/s 조건으로 하였다. 본 연구 결과, 터널의 단면적이 작아지면 터널내 유해가스의 농도가 단면적 감소비 이상으로 증가하는 것으로 나타났으며, 단면적이 작은 경우에는 화재초기에서부터 열차주변의 환경이 성능위주설계기준에서 제시하고 있는 한계기준을 초과하는 것으로 나타났다. 대피특성파악을 위한 유효대피시간을 분석에서는 가시도에 의해서 유효대피시간을 평가하는 경우가 가장 짧게 나타났다. 또한 유해가스에 대한 유효호흡분량(FED)을 해석하여 등가사망자가 발생하는 시점을 기준으로 하여 구한 유효대피시간과는 상당한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다.

저형상비 RC교각의 실물모형 준정적실험 (Quasi Static Test of Real Scaled RC Piers with Low-Aspect Ratio)

  • The past Korean Bridge Design Specifications have no limitation on the amount of lap splices of longitudinal bars in the plastic hinge zone of piers. A majority of bridge piers which have been non-seismically designed might have some lap splices in plastic hinge zone. Also a number of those piers in Korea have a low aspect ratio(height/section area). So, some problems such as low ductility behavior may happen. In this study, the real pier which was non-seismically designed and has a low aspect ratio was selected for the quasi-static tests. Two groups of full scaled RC pier models of which aspect ratios are about 2.26 and about 2.67 were fabricated. And then, quasi-static tests according to the drift level history method were implemented. From the test results, the failure of these test specimens have been shown in the complex shear-flexural or shear modes. The low aspect ratio and the lap splice have largely influenced on the seismic performance of bridge piers.

  • In the latticed domes which is a set of space frame, buckling is derived if the external force reaches a limitation by the lightness of the material and the minimization of the member section area. these are concerned with a geometric shape, network pattern, the number of layer, and so on. Most of all, the number of layer of the lattice dome is a important factor from the viewpoint of initial and structure design. Therefore this study compared buckling characteristics of single-layer with double-layer latticed domes and investigated the relativity of buckling-stress-ratio and member-density-ratio according to rise ratio to improve that designers could extend the range of .design selection

수력학적 지름 변화에 따른 직사각형 마이크로채널 단면에서의 파텐셜 변화 (Potential Change in the Cross Section of the Rectangular Microchannel with Different Hydraulic Diameters)

  • 단면이 직사각형 형태를 갖는 마이크로채널에서 이론적인 퍼텐셜의 분포변화를 제타퍼텐셜과 수력학적 지름을 변수로 조사하였다. 그리고 종/횡(Height-Width) 비를 1, 1/2, 1/3로 변화시켜서 형태의 변화에 따른 퍼텐셜의 분포변화를 조사하였다. 이를 위하여 Comsol 사의 FEMLAB 3.0을 이용하여 전산 무사를 실시하였다. 그 결과 단면의 수력학적 지름이 감소함에 따라서 높이방향 표면이 퍼텐셜 분포에 미치는 영향이 일정한 영역까지 나타났다. 또한 단면의 중앙을 지나는 가상의 선상에서 퍼텐셜 값은 제타퍼텐셜에 정비례하여 증가하였으며, 퍼텐셜 값은 단면의 종/횡 비가 증가함에 따라서 그 기울기가 증가하였다. 그렇지만 전체적으로 보았을 때, 단면의 종/횡 비가 감소함에 따라서 전기이중층이 표면방향으로 압축되는 형태를 나타내었으며, 이는 제타퍼텐셜의 증가를 가져올 것으로 사료된다.

다중 빔 위성 통신 시스템을 위한 공평성 기반 빔 대역폭 할당 (Fairness-Based Beam Bandwidth Allocation for Multi-Beam Satellite Communication System)

  • 본 논문은 다수의 단말이 다중 빔 위성을 통해 정보를 중심국으로 전송하는 위성 통신 시스템을 고려한다. 위성은 위상 배열 안테나를 탑재하여 서로 다른 대역폭을 가지는 다수의 스팟 빔을 형성한다. 빔 대역폭 할당의 공평성을 최대화하는 최적화 문제를 형성하고 해를 얻기 위한 두 가지 휴리스틱 알고리즘(반복적 빔 대역폭 할당, 자원 요청 비율 기반 빔 대역폭 할당)을 제안한다. 반복적 빔 대역폭 할당 알고리즘은 반복적으로 자원 요청량 대비 할당 대역폭의 비율을 균등화시키며, 자원 요청 비율 기반 빔 대역폭 할당 알고리즘은 요청량 대비 할당량 비율을 이용해 빔 대역폭을 계산한다. 모의실험을 통해서 반복적 빔 대역폭 할당 알고리즘이 최적의 해와 매우 가까운 공평성 성능을 가진다는 것을 확인하였다. 또한, 자원 요청 비율 기반 빔 대역폭 할당 알고리즘은 반복적 빔 대역폭 할당 알고리즘보다 계산 복잡도가 낮은 대신 더 낮은 공평성 성능을 가진다는 것을 확인하였다.
