AFM을 이용한 PMMA (Poly Methyl Methacrylate) 박막의 나노트라이볼로지 연구 (Nanotribology of PMMA Thin Films Using an AFM)

  • Nano-scratch tests were performed on PMMA thin films spin-coated on a Si substrate using an atomic force microscopy (AFM) with loads ranging form 10nN to 100nN. At low loads, a ridge pattern was formed on the PMMA thin film surface. No wear particles were observed during the pattern-forming mild wear. At high loads, severe wear by plowing occurred, accompanied by wear particles. The film with the highest hardness showed the highest wear resistance. Friction force generated during the scratching was measured, which was closely related with surface deformation of the film. A simple empirical equation to deduce scratch hardness of the film from a linear fixed-distance scratch test was proposed, and scratching-speed dependency of the scratch hardness was displayed.

  • Scratch-based programming has come to be known as an effective programming tool because of its graphic instruction modules, which are designed to be assembled like the famous LEGO building blocks. These building block-like structures allow users to more easily program applications without using other more difficult programming languages such as C or Java, which are text-based. Therefore, it poses a good opportunity for application in educational settings, especially in primary schools. This paper presents an effective approach to developing an educational robot for use in elementary schools. Furthermore, we present the method for scratch programming based on the external modules need for the implementation of robot motion. Lastly, we design a systematic curriculum, titled "Play with a Robot," and propose guidelines to using the educational programming language Scratch.

Y-TZP에서 표면 처리에 따른 저온열화 거동의 직접적 관찰 (Direct Observation on the Low Temperature Degradation Due to Surface Treatment in Y-TZP)

  • Low temperature degradation behavior in yttria stabilized tetragonal zirconia polycrystal (Y-TZP) ceramics was microscopically observed from the phase contrast between monoclinic surface and tetragonal matrix. The degradation behavior was dependent on the surface treatment of sintered Y-TZP, even if the sintering history is same. In the mirror polished specimen, the monoclinic layer appeared in a uniform thickness from the surface. On the contrary, for the specimen with coarse scratch, the thickness of degraded surface was more than double especially from the coarse scratch. Since the scratch results in local deformation, the residual stress should be induced around the scratch. With the transformation from tetragonal to monoclinic, the volume expansion exerts a stress on a neighboring grains and promotes a successive phase transformation. Such a autocatalytic effect can be triggered from the part of coarse scratch.

Rounded-edge 슬라이더를 이용한 하드디스크의 표면 스크래치 저감에 관한 연구 (Study on Scratch Reduction of HDD using Rounded-edge Slider)

  • In recent years the flying height of the head/slider has been decreasing in order to increase the recording density of hard disk drive (HDD). Accordingly, it was predicted that direct contact between slider and disk surface (slider slap) can cause defects on the disk such as scratch and particle generation. In this work, we theoretically demonstrate the effect of rounded-edge slider using Hertzian contact theory. Depth and width of scratch were predicted by plowing model. Furthermore, as we fabricated rounded-edge slider, rounded-edge slider was tested and compared with sharp-edge slider. The experimental results show rounded-edge was effective for reducing scratch depth.

  • S4A(Scratch For Arduino)는 스크래치로 아두이노를 제어하는 프로그램이다. 본 연구에서는 S4A를 기반으로 하여 터치센서를 사용하고, 스크래치 언어로 구성한 간단한 게임 형식의 학습용 콘텐츠를 개발하였다. 영어를 이제 막 배우기 시작한 학생들의 동기와 흥미를 유발시키기 위해 배경음악과 점수를 사용하였다.

판재 스크래치 저감을 위한 제관 라인 이송 핑거 접촉부의 설계 개선 (Design Improvement of Carrier Finger on Sheet Metal Forming Line for the Prevention of Scratch)

  • In this study, we developed a new carrier finger to prevent scratches in a sheet metal forming line. The developed carrier finger was designed to have a streamlined shape with a larger radius of curvature at the edges, as well as a smaller contact area. To evaluate the scratch alleviation effect, a sliding contact analysis and scratch test using the pin on a plate wear tester were conducted for both the old and new carrier fingers. The results show that, for both transverse and longitudinal movements of the strip, the newly designed carrier finger reduces both the friction and scratch depth by its streamlined shape, which decreases the pressure spike at the edge.

Design and Implementation of Scratch-based Science Learning Environment Using Non-formal Learning Experience

  • In this paper, we use scratch to design and develop non-formal learning experiences that are linked with contents of secondary science textbook to educational programs. The goal of this paper is to develop a convenient and interesting program for non-formal learning in a learning environment using various smart device. Theoretical approaches to mobile education, such as smartphones, and smart education support policies continue to lead to various research efforts. Although most of the smart education systems developed for students who have difficulty in academic performance are utilized, they are limited to general students. To solve the problem, the learning environment was implanted by combining the scratch, which is an educational programming that can be easily written. The science education program proposed in this paper shows the result of process of programming using ICT device using scratch programming. In the evaluation stage, we were able to display the creations and evaluate each other, so that we could refine them more by sharing the completed ideas.

고분자 나노 표면의 내스크래치 특성 향상 연구 (A Study on Enhanced of Anti-scratch performance of Nanostructured Polymer Surface)

  • 본고에서는 임프린트로 제작된 저반사 필름의 내스크래치 특성 향상을 위해 급속 냉각 방법을 제안하였다. 냉각시간을 변수로 하여 기계적인 특성과 광학적 특성에 대한 영향을 평가하였다. 냉각 시간에 따른 기계적 특성 평가 결과 냉각 시간이 증가할수록 내스크래치 특성이 향상되는 거동을 보였지만, 광학적 특성 평가 결과 냉각 시간이 증가할수록 스크래치 발생 부분의 반사율이 매우 증가하는 경향을 보였다. 이를 통하여 냉각 시간에 따라 잔류 응력 변화가 발생하고 나노 구조 표면 형상에 영향을 주어 내스크래치 특성 및 광학적 특성에 영향을 줄 수 있음을 확인하였다.

스크래치 방지를 위한 테이퍼 롤링형 판재 누름키의 개발 (Development of Tapered Rolling Type Strip Pressure Key for the Prevention of Scratch)

  • 본 논문은 판재 성형을 위한 제관 라인의 판재 이송부에 장착되는 판재 누름키의 설계 개선에 관한 연구이다. 기존의 블록형 누름키가 판재의 종 방향 및 횡 방향 이송 과정에서 깊은 스크래치가 유발되는 것을 방지하기 위해 테이퍼진 롤러가 누름키 내부에 장착되어 가이드하도록 하는 테이퍼 롤러 누름키를 개발하였다. 이를 통해 판재의 종 방향 이송시 테이퍼 형상의 효과로 접촉부의 압력 스파이크를 저감시켜 판재의 스크래치 발생을 최소화하고 횡방향 이송시 미끄럼 접촉이 아닌 구름 접촉으로 유도하여 표면 스크래치를 원천적으로 방지할 수 있음을 스크래치 실험을 통해 그 효과를 확인하였다.

선형 회귀곡선 추적을 이용한 고전 필름의 흑,백 라인 스크래치 검출과 제거 알고리즘 (Detection and Remove Algorithm of B/W Line Scratch on Old Film by Linear Recursive Curve Trace)

  • 고화질의 멀티미디어 콘텐츠 수요 증가에 따라서 고전영화의 복원이 필요하다. 그러나 고전영화의 필름은 라인 스크래치와 먼지에 의해서 영상이 많이 훼손되어 있다. 본 논문에서는 필름상의 흑, 백 라인 스크래치를 검출하여 복원하는 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안된 알고리즘은 라인 스크래치 좌우 영역의 밝기 값을 고려하여 선형회귀 곡선 추적과 미디언 필터링으로 라인 스크래치 부분의 손상된 부분정보를 추정, 보간한다. 그 결과 흑, 백 라인 스크래치가 있는 PSNR 44.68인 필름영상을 48.60으로 향상시켰으며, 보간된 픽셀은 원 영상 픽셀에 14정도의 밝기 차로 접근되었다.
