Many bronze artifacts have been excavated and preserved through conservation treatments in Korea but the analysis on artifacts was regarded as destruction of artifacts from the academic world of archaeology, Therefore, it is not so available to perform research on production techniques and provenances by with qualified analysis. Accordingly, there were only a few study cases about quality properties and production techniques But recently gradual change started to appear from the awareness of the need for the scientific approach to excavated artifacts. While Korean ancestors already had applied the different alloying ratios according to the use and shape of bronze artifacts, the analysis and study have been restrictedly performed. As a result, there was only a few analysis cases on a small minority of artifacts because they are the ancient relics, which made it hard to understand the bronze artifacts more deeply. This study researched into components rate, production techniques and hardness of bronze weapons such as a bronze sword and compared their alloying ratios with those of Chinese old records (周禮考工記, 金之六齊).

Advancements in materialistic life styles and increasing awareness about adverse climatic changes and its negative effects on human life have been the driving force of finding new and clean sources of energy. Wind power has become technologically mature and commercially acceptable on global scale. However, fossil fuels have been the major sources of energy in most countries, renewable energy (particularly wind) is now booming worldwide. To cope with this wind energy technology, various related aspects have to be understood by the scientific, engineering, utility, and contracting communities. This study is an effort towards the understanding of the (i) wind turbine blade and tower structural stability issues, (ii) turbine blade and tower failures and remedial measures, (iii) weather and seismic effects on turbine blade and tower failures, (iv) gear box failures, and (v) turbine blade and tower failure analysis tools.

The purpose of this study is to develop environmental inquiry activities for teaching the 10th grade students in science classes of high school. The activities are developed to perform goals of environmental education for sustainable development. In order to this, activities are sequently organized in order of context of laboratory, field, and problem solving in respect of one learning topic. The object of inquiry activities in laboratory context is understanding concepts related environment and environmental pollution. The inquiry activities in field context have an object of attaining good awareness and attitude toward environment. Throughout the activities in probem solving context students are expected to have a mind of participating in environmental issues. The activities are designed to learn and use integrated science knowledge in many domains. Some activities are intended to utilize MBL(Microcomputer-based Laboratory). The ICT materials, lesson plans, instructional sheets for teaching and student' sheets for inquiry were produced to guide these activities. It is expected that this effort will contribute to cultivate environmental literate persons who have not only scientific understanding but also practical will of environmental issues.

The promulgation of the overall framework of Chinese students' development of core literacy has made the implementation of core literacy into specific teaching activities an urgent problem to be solved in the field of education. Based on the analysis of the problems existing in the undergraduate education under the mode of emphasizing theory and neglecting practice, this paper constructs the practical teaching system of Database Principle Course Based on the core quality, expounds the implementation strategy of practical teaching, and probes into how to train the students in the practical teaching of database principle Cultivate scientific spirit, learning ability, practical innovation, responsibility and other core literacy. After 5 rounds of practice, students have achieved better development in independent development and collaborative work, and their awareness of practical innovation has been significantly improved.

Facing information overload in today's complex environments, managers look to a concise set of marketing metrics to provide direction for marketing decision making. While there have been several papers dealing with the theoretical aspects of dashboard creation, no research creates and tests a dashboard using scientific techniques. This study develops and demonstrates an empirical approach to dashboard metric selection. In a fast moving consumer goods category, this research selects leading indicators for national-brand and store-brand sales and revenue premium performance from 99 brand-specific and relative-to-competition variables including price, brand equity, usage occasions, and multiple measures of awareness, trial/usage, purchase intent, and liking/satisfaction. Plotting impact size and wear-in time reveals that different kinds of variables predict sales at distinct lead times, which implies that managerial action may be taken to turn the metrics around before performance itself declines.

The Physics Outreach Unit at UNSW Australia contributes to the goals of the IAU's Commission 55 by collaborating with established institutions to improve public engagement with science. We aim to not only increase public awareness of astronomy but also ensure the benefits to society of our scientific endeavours are understood. We have found collaborating with like-minded institutions who are working in similar spaces allows both parties to make a larger impact than working alone. For example, our long-term collaboration with the Australian Museum provides the opportunity to engage urban and rural communities with science, audiences to which we do not normally have easy access. To increase our national presence we are exploring new relationships with other institutions, in particular the Astronomical Society of Australia (ASA), in hosting events such as public talks with eminent astronomers, star parties and astronomical workshops. These partnerships help build firm foundations for planning future events, in particular during the International Year of Light 2015.

Measuring and evaluation of audience's visual message perception are crucial process for scientific production of visual content. This study tried to evaluate the difference of viewer's awareness of visual object depends on his or her inherent characteristics like conservatism using an eye tracker system. Especially, this experiment tested research questions about positive correlation between conservatism and peoples' eye movements following the sound visual messages. 57 subjects participated in the test. Two different groups were exposed to two visual elements representing 'the conservative' and 'the liberal'. The results showed that people tended to have different way of seeing visual objects according to their inherent characteristics. Also by comparing the gaze time at the object and area of interest(AOI) in visual, this study is able to verify the existence of 'positive way of seeing' and 'negative way of seeing'. The two different ways of seeing have their own trail of eye movement.

이 연구는 창의적 과학글쓰기를 활용한 수업이 고등학생들의 생물에 대한 흥미와 과학적 태도에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 확인하는 것에 목적을 두고 있다. 창의적 과학글쓰기는 학습 내용을 바탕으로 일상생활 속에서 과학의 원리를 찾아 자신의 생각이나 느낌을 자유롭게 표현하는 글쓰기이다. 생물교과 내용 중 순환과 호흡단원을 선정하여 창의적 과학글쓰기를 활용한 수업 지도안을 개발하였고, 전라남도 순천시 소재 인문계 고등학교 2학년 자연계열 학생 148명을 대상으로 사전-사후 검사 비교집단 설계방법을 사용하였다. 148명의 학생들을 비교집단과 실험집단으로 분류하여 총 7차시로 개발한 창의적 과학글쓰기 수업 지도안을 6주 동안 적용하였다. 학생들의 생물에 대한 흥미의 향상 정도를 알아보기 위해 생물에 대한 흥미 검사지를 사용하였으며, 과학적 태도 변화를 알아보기 위해 과학적 태도 검사지를 사용하여 측정 및 분석하였다. 이 연구의 결과에 따르면, 창의적 과학글쓰기를 활용한 수업은 고등학생들의 생물에 대한 흥미를 향상시키는데 효과적이었으며, 특히 생물에 대한 관심과 생물 학습에 대한 흥미, 생물과 관련된 활동에 대한 흥미 향상에 효과적이었다. 이는 창의적 과학글쓰기를 활용한 수업이 학생들에게 기존 수업과는 달리 새로운 수업방법으로 다가가 학습한 내용을 단순히 암기하는데 그치지 않고 자신의 일상생활에 적용하여 자유롭게 글로 표현함으로써 흥미를 유발시킬 수 있었고, 여러 가지 유형의 글쓰기를 통해 학습내용을 실생활에 다양하게 적용해 봄으로써 일상생활 속에서 생물학 원리를 스스로 찾을 수 있게 해주어 생물에 대한 흥미를 향상시켰음을 알 수 있었다. 뿐만 아니라, 창의적 과학글쓰기를 활용한 수업은 고등학생들의 과학적 태도의 변화에 긍정적인 영향을 주었다. 창의적 과학글쓰기가 학습 내용을 바탕으로 폭넓은 사고를 통해 자신의 생각을 써나가는 글쓰기이므로 글을 쓰는 동안 자신의 사고 과정을 정리하면서 과학적 태도가 긍정적으로 변화되는데 효과적임을 알 수 있었다. 이상의 결과를 토대로 할 때 창의적 과학글쓰기를 활용한 수업이 고등학생들의 생물에 대한 흥미를 향상시키고, 과학적 태도를 긍정적으로 변화시키는데 효과적인 수업방법으로 활용될 수 있다는 결론을 얻었다. 따라서 고등학생들에게 적합한 창의적 과학글쓰기 유형을 주제별로 개발하여 다양하게 활용할 수 있는 방안에 대한 후속 연구가 필요할 것이다.

The purpose of this study was to develop measures for establishing and enforcing legal nutrition labeling for Takju based on results from consumer awareness surveys, statistical model development, and evaluation of nutrients. The statistical model developed with consumer survey results showed that consumers would like to know the nutrients they intake from drinking Takju, as their awareness about Takju was low. Specifically, consumers would like to see information regarding alcohol content, calories, carbohydrates, and saccharides on the label. Structural equations from the research model showed that consumers who had some knowledge of Takju also had positive thoughts of the nutrition fact labels for Takju. Evaluation of nutrients in Takju showed that the starch sources and other ingredients used in Takju fermentation did not influence nutrient facts, and nutrient concentrations also varied among the different Takju. In addition, this research suggests methods for consumers to make reasonable selections and to inform them of the nutrition fact labeling for Takju. Benners and pop-up were manufactured to promote voluntary participation of companies and to provide nutrition facts from Takju. Eventually, a measure was suggested to establish and enforce nutrition labeling, using results from consumer and nutrient surveys of Takju.
