The storm surge is caused by an typhoons and it is not easy to predict the location, strength, route of the storm. Therefore, research using a scenario for storms occurrence has been conducted. In Korea, hazard maps for various scenarios were produced using the storm surge numerical simulation. Such a method has a disadvantage in that it is difficult to predict when other scenario occurs, and it is difficult to cope with in real time because the simulation time is long. In order to compensate for this, we developed a method to predict the storm surge damage by using research database. The risk grade prediction for the storm surge was performed predominantly in the study area of the East coast. In order to estimate the equation, COMSOL developed by COMSOL AB Corporation was utilized. Using some assumptions and limitations, the form of the basic equation was derived. the constants and coefficients in the equation were estimated by the trial and error method. Compared with the results, the spatial distribution of risk grade was similar except for the upper part of the map. In the case of the upper part of the map, it was shown that the resistance coefficient, k was calculated due to absence of elevation data. The SIND model is a method for real-time disaster prediction model and it is expected that it will be able to respond quickly to disasters caused by abnormal weather.
The Cheomsungdae was built in the Silla dynasty during the reign of queen Seondeok. It has a round cylindrical structure with a flowing curved fa ade. The identity of the Cheomsungdae has not been revealed since there is not much historical evidence or documents about the building. This study is trying to investigate the building technique and method from the technical point of view of the past when it was constructed. There have been much work and studies done for the Cheomsungdae, but not much were focusing on the technical aspects of the building. In addition there are many questions and doubts about the hypothesis of the building technique of Cheomsungdae since there aren't any remaining documents or historical evidence supporting it. Among many questions, we think that the discussion on falsework technique is not considering traditional construction method of the Dujabee (a traditional construction technique using various tools and equipment for the stability of the building) technique. Therefore, it is hard to identify them as reliable historical facts. As the result of the study, we want to provide the basic data on the construction techniques of Korean traditional architecture and broaden the study scope of technical history by narrowing the errors. The study could be summarized into three points. 1. The historical architecture Cheomseongdae was constructed by using traditional crane techniques such as a Noklo (pulley ladder). Cheomseongdae was re-evaluated as a high level technology for the history of architecture. 2. The benchmark method on Cheomseongdae construction has been applied with a precise scientific method based on the geometrical principals using the central axis. 3. In terms of the history of Korean traditional architecture technology, as there aren't many studies done we proposed various basic data for the traditional crane techniques and criteria of Korean traditional architecture technology. We could expect various and active studies for the technical approach of the history of architecture.
Nowadays we are not able to consider and imagine anything without taking into account what is called Artificial Intelligence. Even broadcasting media technologies could not be thought of outside this newly emerging technology of A.I.. Since the last part of 20th century, this technology seemingly is accelerating it's development thanks to an unbelievably enormous computational capacity of data information treatments. In conjunction with the firmly established worldwide platform companies like GAFA(Google, Amazon, Facebook, Apple), the key cutting edge technologies dubbed NBIC(Nanotech, Biotech, Information Technology, Cognitive science) converge to change the map of the current civilization by affecting the human relationship with the world and hence modifying what is essential in humans. Under the sign of the converging technologies, the relatively recently coined concepts such as 'trans(post)humanism' are emerging in the academic sphere in the North American and Major European regions. Even though the so-called trans(post)human movements are prevailing in the major technological spots, we have to say that these terms do not yet reach an unanimous acceptation among many experts coming from diverse fields. Indeed trans(post)humanism as a sort of obscure term has been a largely controversial trend. Because there have been many different opinions depending on scientific, philosophical, medical, engineering scholars like Peter Sloterdijk, K. N. Hayles, Neil Badington, Raymond Kurzweil, Hans Moravec, Laurent Alexandre, Gilbert Hottois just to name a few. However, considering the highly dazzling development of artificial intelligence technology basically functioning in conjunction with the cybernetic communication system firstly conceived by Nobert Wiener, MIT mathematician, we can not avoid questioning what A. I. signifies and how it will affect the current media communication environment.

The purpose of this study is to show that epistemic considerations can be used meaningfully in the argumentation of elementary students, and to provide data on students' epistemic considerations that will be the basis for designing and evaluating scientific argumentation. The epistemic considerations in students' small group argumentations were explored based on Epistemic Considerations in Students' Epistemologies in Practice: EIP' suggested by Berland et al. (2016). The major results of this study are as follows: First, epistemic considerations in elementary school students' small group argumentation appeared in all four aspects: Nature, generality, justification and audience. The epistemic considerations varied according to context in each discussion situation. Second, epistemic considerations did not exist independently. They influenced each other and helped to reveal new types of considerations. The results of this study confirmed that argumentation can be used in elementary school science class. Understanding how students are involved in argumentation and how these epistemic considerations can affect students' argumentation can be helpful to teachers who design and evaluate small group argumentation. Students' achievement level affected epistemic considerations but learning approach types did not affect on. In addition, epistemic considerations may have a positive or negative effect on each other depending on the discussion situation in the process of interaction. So consideration of normative argumentation rules and teaching strategies should be considered in order for epistemic considerations to positively affect each other.
A research field develops by experiencing several turns of paradigms. Mathematics education research have experienced those turns as well. Still, the dominant perspective is that mathematics education research should be scientific and objective. In this article, I suggest that this need not to be the prime rule to follow and that the mathematics education field will fertile by discussing extraordinary cases which may seem controversal to be recognized as valid research work. To this end, I first briefly describe the necessity of open discussions among researchers for a field to develop. Then, I introduce fiction writing, a resesarch method derived from arts-based research, as an extraordinary case for open discussions. The benefit of Arts-based research is on that it takes an holistic approach to how we know by embracing emotion and emphathy as means for knowing. Because of this trait, arts-based research holds a powerful potential for influencing a wide range of people, both inside and outside of the resesarch field. Following this, I present a fiction about a prospective teacher who participated in an activity for designing educative curriculum materials. By doing so, I sought to provoke discussions among mathematics education researchers about what to include as a valid research work, possible standards for reviewing arts-based resesarch.

This study investigated the characteristics of the watershed and pollutants in the Seonakdong River basin in the lower stream of the Nakdong River Water System, and evaluated the areas vulnerable to nonpoint pollution by subwatershed according to the TOPSIS(Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution) method. The selection method consists of selection of evaluation factors, calculation of weights and selection of areas vulnerable to non-point pollution through evaluation factors and weights. The entropy method was used as the weight calculation method and TOPSIS, a multi-criteria decision making(MCDM) method was used as the evaluation method. Indicator data were collected as of 2018, and national pollution source survey data and national statistics were used. Most of the vulnerable watersheds were highly urbanized had a large number of residents and were evaluated as having a large land area among industrial facilities and site area rate. Through this study, it is necessary to approach a variety of weighting methodologies to assess the vulnerability of non-point pollution with high reliability, and scientific analysis of the factors that affect non-point pollution sources and consideration of the effects are necessary.
This study conducted a big data analysis on news to identify the agenda of media literacy, which has been socially discussed, and on which relevant policy directions will be proposed. To this end 1,336 articles from January 1, 2019 to September 30, 2020 were collected and a topic modeling analysis was conducted according to four periods. Five topics for each period were derived through the analysis, and implications based on the results are as follows. First, the government should implement a nation-level systematic approach to media literacy education according to life cycle stages to generate economic and cultural value. Second, local communities and schools should provide systematic support and education guidance activities to ensure a sustainable ecosystem for media literacy and prevent an educational gap and loss in learning. Third, efforts should be made in various aspects to minimize the side effects resulting from constantly providing media literacy education; furthermore a culture of desirable media application should be established. Finally, a research environment for scientific research on media literacy, active exchange of experience and value obtained in the field, and long-term accumulation of research results should be encouraged to develop a robust knowledge exchange culture.
Purpose: The traditional ethical study only suggests a blurred insight on the research using medical big data, especially in this rapid-changing and demanding environment which is called "4th Industry Revolution." Current institutional/ethical issues in big data research need to approach with the thoughtful insight of past ethical study reflecting the understanding of present conditions of this study. This study aims to examine the ethical issues that are emerging in recent health care big data research. So, this study aims to survey the public perceptions on of health care big data as part of the process of public discourse and the acceptance of the utility and provision of big data research as a subject of health care information. In addition, the emerging ethical challenges and how to comply with ethical principles in accordance with principles of the Belmont report will be discussed. Methods: Survey was conducted from June 3th August to 6th September 2020. The online survey was conducted through voluntary participation through Internet users. A total of 319 people who completed the survey (±5.49%P [95% confidence level] were analyzed. Results: In the area of the public's perspective, the survey showed that the medical information is useful for new medical development, but it is also necessary to obtain consents from subjects in order to use that medical information for various research purposes. In addition, many people were more concerned about the possibility of re-identifying personal information in medical big data. Therefore, they mentioned the necessity of transparency and privacy protection in the use of medical information. Conclusion: Big data on medical care is a core resource for the development of medicine directly related to human life, and it is necessary to open up medical data in order to realize the public good. But the ethical principles should not be overlooked. The right to self-determination must be guaranteed by means of clear, diverse consent or withdrawal of subjects, and processed in a lawful, fair and transparent manner in the processing of personal information. In addition, scientific and ethical validity of medical big data research is indispensable. Such ethical healthcare data is the only key that will lead to innovation in the future.

The article proves that the main goal of informatization of higher education institutions in the EU countries is to improve the quality of education of future specialists by introducing digital educational resources into the education process. The main tasks of informatization of education are defined. Digital educational resources are interpreted as a set of data in digital form that is applicable for use in the learning process; it is an information source containing graphic, text, digital, speech, music, video, photo and other information aimed at implementing the goals and objectives of modern education; educational resources on the Internet, electronic textbooks, educational programs, electronic libraries, etc. The creation of digital educational resources is defined as one of the main directions of informatization of all forms and levels of Education. Types of digital educational resources by educational functions are considered. The factors that determine the effectiveness of using digital educational resources in the educational process are identified. The use of digital educational resources in the training of future specialists in the EU countries is considered in detail. European countries note that digital educational resources in professional use allow you to implement a fundamentally new approach to teaching and education, which is based on broad communication, free exchange of opinions, ideas, information of participants in a joint project, on a completely natural desire to learn new things, expand their horizons; is based on real research methods (scientific or creative laboratories), allowing you to learn the laws of nature, the basics of techniques, technology, social phenomena in their dynamics, in the process of solving vital problems, features of various types of creativity in the process of joint activities of a group of participants; promotes the acquisition by teachers of various related skills that can be very useful in their professional activities, including the skills of using computer equipment and various digital technologies.
Process mining has generally analyzed the default logs of Information Systems such as SAP ERP, but as the use of automation software called RPA expands, the logs by RPA bots can be utilized. In this study, the actual status of RPA automation in the field was identified by applying RPA bots to the work of three domestic manufacturing companies (cosmetic field) and analyzing them after leaving logs. Using Uipath and Python, we implemented RPA bots and wrote logs. We used Disco, a software dedicated to process mining to analyze the bot logs. As a result of log analysis in two aspects of bot utilization and performance through process mining, improvement requirements were found. In particular, we found that there was a point of improvement in all cases in that the utilization of the bot and errors or exceptions were found in many cases of process. Our approach is very scientific and empirical in that it analyzes the automation status and performance of bots using data rather than existing qualitative methods such as surveys or interviews. Furthermore, our study will be a meaningful basic step for bot behavior optimization, and can be seen as the foundation for ultimately performing process management.
