A Study on Research Ethics and Education for Aviation Tourism Researchers

  • Purpose: Compared to the research results that have achieved remarkable growth, research ethics problems that threaten the quality of research. This issue appears not only in Korea but also in research societies worldwide where research competition has risen This study attempted to prepare improvements and institutional implications to establish research ethics in the research field. Research Design, data and methodology: This study examined total 26 prior studies to examine the current status of aviation tourism research ethics in the literature reviews for the finding section. The procedure of data obtaining included the elimination process to screen dissertation papers, conference papers, and internet sources. Results: Researchers must have an institutional mechanism to publish papers after completing education. Research ethics education programs suitable for aviation tourism research should be developed and detailed and clear guidelines for research ethics should be provided. This can prevent research irregularities. Conclusions: It is necessary to create a clear research ethics education for the spread of positive research ethics on aviation tourism researchers. Develop research ethics education and complete long-term compulsory education. Establish a research culture that requires compulsory completion of research education. It is necessary to support continuous education and learning through various research ethics methods.

일부 치위생과 학생들의 윤리의식에 미치는 요인에 관한 연구 (Connected Factors of Ethical Perception in Dental Hygiene Students)

  • 본 연구는 치위생과에 재학중인 학생들의 윤리의식에 미치는 영향요인을 규명하여 윤리교육의 기초자료로 활용하고자 개별자기기입법에 의한 설문을 실시하여 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 1. 기초윤리 의식수준에 연관된 변수는 치과윤리교육필요성인지, 임상실습경험, 직업윤리교육경험이었다. 치과윤리교육필요성을 인지한 학생들이 기초윤리 의식수준이 높았고, 임상실습경험과 직업윤리교육경험이 있는 학생들이 기초윤리에 관한 의식수준이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 2. 면허법규 의식수준은 치과위생사윤리강령개정을 알고 있는 학생일수록, 치과윤리교육필요성을 인지하고 있는 학생일수록 면허법규에 관한 의식수준이 높았다. 3. 전문가윤리 의식수준에 연관된 변수는 치과위생사윤리강령 개정인지, 치과윤리교육필요성인지, 윤리 의식을 배우는 역할모델이었다. 가장 큰 영향을 미친 변수는 치과위생사 윤리강령개정이었다. 4. 의사결정 의식수준은 치과윤리교육필요성을 인지하고 있는 학생일수록, 치과위생사윤리강령개정을 인지하고 있는 학생일수록, 임상실습경험이 있는 학생일수록, 윤리의식을 배우는 역할모델이 교회라고 응답한 학생일수록 의사결정에 관한 의식수준이 높았다. 5. 팀웍에 관한 의식수준은 치과위생사윤리강령개정인지와 치과윤리교육필요성인지이었다. 치과위생사윤리강령개정을 인지하고 있는 학생일수록, 치과윤리교육필요성을 인지하고 있는 학생일수록 팀웍에 관한 의식수준이 높았다. 6. 치과위생사윤리강령개정에 대해 모르고 있다고 응답한 학생은 88.4%이었고, 치과위생사 윤리강령개정을 알고 있는 학생의 전문가윤리 의식수준이 $3.44{\pm}0.23$으로 높았다 (p=0.000).

윤리는 과학기술발전의 적(敵)인가? (Is Ethics An Enemy of Developing Science and Technology?)

  • 윤리는 과학기술발전을 저해한다는 통념의 논변을 다음과 같이 설정하여 검토한다. '경쟁 사회에서 살아가려면 남보다 앞선 과학기술의 개발이 필수적이다. 그런데 윤리문제를 따지다보면 과학기술을 발전시킬 수 없다. 그러므로 윤리문제를 제쳐놓고 과학기술부터 발전시켜야한다.' 이 논변의 구조가 타당하도록 재구성하여도 둘째 전제가 참이라고 할 수 없고 첫째 전제에서 잘 살기 위한 경쟁의 의미도 다양하므로, 결론을 받아드리기 어렵다는 논거를 제시한다. 특히 우리가 윤리학의 전체적인 영역을 고려하고 민주사회가 지향하는 자율 윤리를 기반으로 하게 될 때, 윤리는 결코 과학기술 발전의 적이라고 할 수 없다는 귀결이다 뿐만 아니라 과학기술의 발전을 바람직한 과학문화 형성에 기여할 수 있게 하려면 문화인의 자율 윤리를 기반으로 하여야 함을 KDSC에 의거하여 논한다. 이와 같은 논의의 과정에서 오늘날 거론되는 생명 윤리법은 '윤리를 어기면 법으로 처벌하겠다'는 취지이니 만큼, 진정한 자율 윤리를 오도할 염려가 있으므로 그 명칭을 바꿀 것을 제의한다.

  • Price skimming practices, false claim on products, false information/communication, marketing overseas, and deception on products in marketing have received significant attention by the researchers of ethics in marketing studies. This research considers these phenomena as marketing instruments that grossly violate the practice of ethics in this domain. The two most crucial parts in marketing that have received greater attention are product safety and advertising. The paper also examines Ethical Marketing as the ability to make marketing decisions that are morally right and acceptable to all. In order words, ethics in marketing explains how moral standards can be applied in marketing decisions. It seeks to answer the research question by looking at some fundamental business ethics theories, namely, Virtue ethics, Utilitarian, and Deontological approaches to business ethics. Nevertheless, ethics in business is very controversial as many hold different view about what makes up the standard morals that corporations should take and so it is necessary for any organization to formulate its ethical codes to follow.

돌봄의 윤리를 위한 미감적 - 윤리적 패러다임 (Aesthetical-ethical Paradigm of Care Ethics in Nursing)

  • The purposes of this study was to find aesthetical-ethical paradigm of care ethics by understanding the unique moral character of care as an art and to suggest the optimal direction of nursing ethics. Method: This study used meaning-heuristic and -interpretive methods of hermeneutics based on philosophical aesthetic theory; Baumgarten's aesthetics, Schiller's theory of aesthetical education and Kant's theory of aesthetical judgement. Result: The concept of care implied aesthetical and ethical character; caring as an art was related to moral feeling based on human dignity und emotional communication in interpersonal-relationship. Caring as an art was interpreted as a moral ideal for the promotion of the humanity und the interaction in personal-relationship according to nursing theories. Philosophical aesthetics could provide the theoretical base for the interpretation of caring as an art. The proper paradigm of care ethics in nursing could be found in character-trait ethics and communication ethics according to the philosophical aesthetics. Conclusion: This study could show aesthetical-ethical paradigm of care ethics in nursing by the heuristic interpretation of caring as an art according to the philosophical aesthetics

기록학과 윤리적 관점 (Archival Science and Ethics)

  • 기록물에 중요한 정보가 담겨 있다는 사실보다도 기록을 대하는 인간은 누구이고, 기록을 책임지고 관리하는 아키비스트는 누구인가를 먼저 물었다. 이 글에서는 이런 물음을 던지면서 기록학에 필요한 것은 윤리적 관점이라는 점을 제시했다. 이 글은 윤리적 관점을 이야기 하면서 다음의 세 가지를 강조했다. 첫째, 아키비스트 윤리규약이 이미 있지만 윤리규약 이전에 윤리학을 탐구해야 한다는 점, 나아가 윤리학이 속한 인간학의 지평에서 기록학을 봐야 한다는 점을 강조했다. 둘째, 아키비스트에게는 기록수행에 대한 진술의무가 있는데 이런 의무를 수행할 때 윤리의식이 배양된다는 점, 아키비스트라는 전문가에게 필요한 전문성 발달도 사실은 윤리적 관점을 견지할 때 가능하다는 점도 강조했다. 셋째, 이 글에서는 아키비스트는 기록물을 소유한 자가 아니라 기록현장을 관리하는 존재로 보았는데, 이런 존재에게 기록물관리기술이 필요한 것이야 말할 나위도 없지만 기록현장에서 벌어진 사건을 기술하는 능력도 필요하다는 점을 강조했다. 이 글에서는 세 가지를 강조하면서 인식론적 접근의 필요성에 대해서도 상술했다.

음식윤리 접근에 의한 식생활교육 효과 증진 (Food Ethics Approach Improves the Effectiveness of Dietary Education)

  • This study was performed to improve the effectiveness of dietary education using a food ethics approach. Dietary education is a way of practicing food ethics based on Korean culture. The core values of dietary education and the keywords related to food ethics can be combined into environment·life, health·wisdom, and consideration·happiness. Sustainable dietary life comprises the value system of dietary education based on core values. To reach the ultimate goal of food ethics-sustaining the survival of the human race, the coexistence of humans and nature, the coexistence of humans and humans, and the fulfillment of food requirements are needed. These needs yield certain core principles, including respect for life, environmental preservation, justice, the priority of consumers, dynamic equilibrium, and the priority of safety. The extended ethical matrix with six core principles and three interest groups can be used for an ethical analysis either qualitative or quantitative. It is believed that if food ethics are introduced into dietary education programs, the effectiveness of education can be improved.

간호대학생의 생명의료윤리 의식에 영향을 미치는 요인 (Factors Affecting the Consciousness of Biomedical Ethics of the Nursing Students)

  • Objectives: This study sought to provide basic data for the establishment of a desirable sense of ethics in medical service by analyzing the consciousness of biomedical ethics of nursing students. Methods: Subjects were nursing students selected from four-year and three-year nursing colleges (n=355 and 360, respectively) in D city and G buk-Do region. The Data was analyzed using t-test, one-way ANOVA, and multiple regression. Results: The average point of the consciousness of biomedical ethics was 2.99. As result of analyzing general and specific aspects of the consciousness of biomedical ethics, statistically significant differences were found in age, religion, participation in religious activity, kinds of student group activity in subjects, ethical values, experience of hearing for biomedical ethics, quantity and quality of biomedical ethics in the current curriculum, the experience of conflict for biomedical ethical problem in subjects. The predicting variables that influence the consciousness of biomedical ethics, ethical values, quantity and quality of biomedical ethics in the current curriculum, religion, age, and experience of hearing for biomedical ethics. Conclusions: An arbitration program that could promote either changeable or controllable ethical values must be considered with attention to the significant variables that can promote the consciousness of biomedical ethics of nursing students.

The Effect of Consciousness of Research Ethics on Job Commitment - Focusing on the Mediating Effect of Ethical Efficacy and Self-efficacy

  • Purpose: Since 2006, social, ethical, and institutional options have been attempted in Korea to establish research ethics; however, the effectiveness of these attempts has not been thoroughly examined. Studies have been conducted abroad to determine the timeliness of social, ethical and institutional alternatives, such as the adoption of laws governing research ethics, the improvement of research ethics education, the bolstering of systems, the introduction of incentive programs, and the creation of social environments that support research ethics. Research design, data, and methodology: Specific facets of research misconduct or research ethics must be investigated and verified. Aspects of moral growth at the person level must be investigated via research ethics and research ethics education. Results: There is an increasing need for the general public to define and uphold research ethics as the impact of research findings on society grows. Researchers can boost their confidence in their ethical judgments and actions by being aware of research ethics. This may lead to confidence in their capacity to make morally sound decisions. Conclusion: By doing this study, the researcher confirmed that ethically correct behavior can lead to and realize self-growth. Researchers may be more interested in and dedicated to their work when they feel that their research might help them mature and develop ethically.

Role-based Morality, Ethical Pluralism, and Morally Capable Robots

  • Dominant approaches to designing morally capable robots have been mainly based on rule-based ethical frameworks such as deontology and consequentialism. These approaches have encountered both philosophical and computational limitations. They often struggle to accommodate remarkably diverse, unstable, and complex contexts of human-robot interaction. Roboticists and philosophers have recently been exploring underrepresented ethical traditions such as virtuous, role-based, and relational ethical frameworks for designing morally capable robots. This paper employs the lens of ethical pluralism to examine the notion of role-based morality in the global context and discuss how such cross-cultural analysis of role ethics can inform the design of morally competent robots. In doing so, it first provides a concise introduction to ethical pluralism and how it has been employed as a method to interpret issues in computer and information ethics. Second, it reviews specific schools of thought in Western ethics that derive morality from role-based obligations. Third, it presents a more recent effort in Confucianism to reconceptualize Confucian ethics as a role-based ethic. This paper then compares the shared norms and irreducible differences between Western and Eastern approaches to role ethics. Finally, it discusses how such examination of pluralist views of role ethics across cultures can be conducive to the design of morally capable robots sensitive to diverse value systems in the global context.
