국내 환경교육 연구의 동향 (Trends in Environmental Education Research of Korea)

  • This study was performed to investigate the trends in Environmental Education Research of Korea. In this study, the papers in $\ulcorner$Hwankyungkyoyuk$\lrcorner$ (Journal of the Korean Society for Environmental Education) and $\ulcorner$Journal of the Korean Association for Research in Science Education$\lrcorner$ from the initial number to the latest number were investigated. The category of analysis in this study were the number of papers, research area, method, character, the major targets of Environmental Education, the major targets of research, the purpose of Environmental Education, and the contents of environment. The results of this study are as follows: 1. The number of papers in $\ulcorner$Hwankyungkyoyuk$\lrcorner$ were 178 and in $\ulcorner$Journal of the Korean Association for Research in Science Education$\lrcorner$ were 406(10 of them were related in environmental education) 2. The research areas of the papers were Environmental Education(52.4%), Social Environmental Education(19%), Environmental Science(8.5%), Science Education(7.9%), and Social Education(3.2%). 3. The major parts of the method of the papers were literature review(31.7%), survey research(21.2%), and descriptive study(20.3%). 4. More than half of the character of the papers were research on the actual condition(35.4%) and consciousness (17.9%), 5. The major targets of Environmental Education of the papers were secondary school students(33.9%) and elementary school students(18.8%). 6. The major targets of researches of the papers were secondary school students(33.8%), teachers(30.0%), the general public(20.0%), and elementary school students(18.8%). 7. The purpose of Environmental Education of the papers were Values and Attitudes(31.2%), Behaviors and Participations(29.6%), Knowledges and Informations(27.2%), and Skills(12%). 8. The contents of Environment of the papers were waste(27.7%), water quality(15.2%), the whole environment(12.5%), air quality(9.8%), natural environment(5.4%), soil(4.4%), energy(4.4%), and so on. The results indicated that the Environmental Education research of Korea were needed to be reinforced in the field of qualitative research method, teaching and learning strategy, the development of learninyg meterals, and teacher education.

KERIS를 활용한 과학영재교육에서의 STEAM 교육 관련 연구동향 분석 (The Analysis of Research Trends Related to STEAM Education in Science Gifted and Talented Education Using Korea Education & Research Information Service(KERIS))

  • 본 연구는 학술연구정보서비스를 활용하여 현재까지 과학영재교육에서의 융합인재교육 관련 연구 동향을 비교 분석하여 이를 바탕으로 시사점을 논의하고 과학영재교육에서 융합인재교육의 발전을 위한 보다 나은 방향을 제시하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 과학영재교육에서 융합인재교육과 관련된 논문이 국내에 발표되기 시작한 2011년부터 2015년까지의 연구물들을 학술연구정보서비스를 통해 관련된 학위논문 및 학술지 논문을 검색하여 분석하였다. 본 연구에서는 다음과 같은 결론을 얻을 수 있었다. 첫째, 발표 연도순에 따른 분석결과 2011년에 과학영재교육에서의 융합인재교육 관련 논문이 학술지에 1편이 처음 등장한 이후 2012년 6편, 2013년 16편, 2014년 20편 2015년(2월까지) 6편으로 계속적인 증가를 하였다. 둘째, 연구대상별 분석 결과 연구대상 중 초등영재를 대상으로 한 연구가 30편(61%)로 가장 많았다. 셋째, 연구주제별 분석 결과 프로그램/교육과정, 창의성이 주를 이루고 있었다. 넷째, 연구 방법별 분석 결과 개발 연구가 가장 많았고, 그 다음으로 실험 연구, 조사 연구, 질적 연구, 문헌 연구의 순으로 나타났다.

Science Gifted Learning Program: Research & Education Model

  • This paper suggests a research & education (R&E) model for the gifted in science education. The model has been developed under three assumptions. The first is that using the sequences of a gifted educational program designed to facilitate the process will assist in gifted students' construction of scientific knowledge and comprehension of laboratory practice through concrete experimental experience. The second is that gifted students will be able to apply this learning to further study using and extending scientific knowledge and experience. The third is that challenging tasks and feedback at the requisite stage of development will improve instructional effectiveness. The R&E Model has five phases: engaging, exploring, planning, performing and elaborating; furthermore, it suggests roles for the mentee and mentor. The R&E model has two functions for gifted education. The first is providing guidance for gifted curriculum developers as they design a mentor program, and the second is helping a mentor improve instructional effectiveness through use of strategies. This model has potentials to educate the gifted students in the Science Education Institute for the Gifted.

구성주의적 과학교육과 학생의 물리 오개념 지도 (Constructivist Science Education and the Map of Students' Physics Misconceptions)

  • This paper aims to review the overall development of constructivist approaches in science education research from two different perspectives, that is a summary of the past development in science education in general and a report of the outline of a recent research project on students' physics misconceptions in particular. In the summary of the past development of constructivist science education the introduction of constructivism as well as its psychological and philosophical backgrounds are briefly reported. Then main findings of the researches of constructivist approach are discussed in terms of the features of students' misconceptions, of the ways of effective conceptual change, of the implications toward school science education, and of the criticisms given to the constructivist approach. In the report of a recent development in addition to its background necessity and implications, the research structure and the format of the data analysis of the study on the map of students' physics misconceptions are presented. It is particularly emphasized that the practical informations and suggestions for actual teaching of school science, such as the database(DB) of students' misconceptions and teaching guides, are of most practical and effective values in order to maximize the advantage of the constructivist approach to science education.

과학영재를 위한 연구윤리교육 및 윤리적 연구환경조성의 현황과 이에 대한 영재담당 교사들의 인식 조사 (Current Status and Teachers' Perception About Research Ethics Education and Creating Ethical Research Environment for Gifted Students in Science)

  • 미래 과학자인 과학영재 학생들이 연구를 설계하고 수행하는 전과정에서 연구윤리를 어떻게 지키며 연구를 수행하여야 하는지에 대한 체계적이고 실질적인 교육이나 연구부정을 막기 위한 시스템적인 노력은 극히 최근에 시작되고 있지만 여전히 부족한 실정이다. 이 연구에서는 과학고와 영재고에 근무 중인 교사 68명을 대상으로 한국의 과학고와 영재고의 연구윤리교육과 윤리적 연구 환경 조성현황을 설문을 통해 알아보았다. 먼저 연구윤리교육현황을 살펴보면, 조사대상의 절반에 해당하는 학교가 연구윤리교육을 교육과정 내에 포함하고 있었다. 또, 반 이상의 교사가 수업 시간에 개인적으로 연구윤리를 가르친다고 응답하였고, 90%에 가까운 교사가 탐구 과정 중에 연구윤리를 가르친다고 응답하였다. 하지만 여전히 교사들은 연구윤리교육이 부족하다고 여기고 있었다. 다음으로, 연구윤리 준수를 위한 환경으로서, 연구윤리 규정과 시스템의 유무, 교사의 역량, 교사가 조성하는 동료검증, 자기검증 가능한 분위기, 연구윤리교육에 대한 관리자의 태도를 조사하였다. 지식과 경험 측면에서 교사는 역량을 갖추고 있었고, 동료, 자기 검증이 가능한 환경을 조성하고 있었다. 하지만 연구윤리규정과 검증 시스템은 학교에 충분히 갖추어져 있지 않다. 하지만 관리자들이 연구윤리교육에 대하여 높은 관심을 가지고 있으므로 충분히 개선될 것으로 보인다. 마지막으로, 교사들은 학생들의 윤리적 연구를 위해, 추가적인 연구윤리교육, 학생들의 태도 변화, 검증 시스템의 구축과 지속적 관리, 윤리적 환경조성, 명확한 지침 제공이 필요하다고 하였다. 이 결과는 각 영재학교에서 연구윤리교육 방향을 설정하는데 도움이 될 뿐 아니라, 영재 담당 교사들에게는 어떤 방식으로 학생들에게 도움을 줄지 계획하는데 도움이 될 것이다. 또한 과학영재 학생들을 둘러싸고 있는 외부적 환경을 학교와 교사가 어떻게 만들어나갈지에 대한 시사점을 얻을 수 있을 것이다.

R&E 프로그램에 대한 과학영재고등학생들의 인식 연구 (A Study of Scientifically Gifted High School Students' Perceptions on the Research and Education Program)

  • 본 연구에서는 R&E 프로그램에 참여한 270명의 학생을 대상으로 R&E의 목적, 주제 선정 과정, R&E의 장단점에 관하여 설문 조사를 실시하였고, 4명의 학생을 대상으로 심층인터뷰를 실시하였다. R&E의 목적과 장점에 대하여 학생들은 '예비 과학자로의 자질 함양, '연구 기회 제공', 탐구 수행 능력 신장'으로 인식하였으며, 단점으로는 '연구에 소비된 시간', '타율적 참여', '연구 내용의 어려움' 등을 언급하였다. R&E 프로그램은 정해진 주제 제시된 실험과정 문제 발생 시 전문가의 도움으로 진행되는 기술적 도제과정이 대부분이었으며, 창의적 문제해결능력 신장보다는 새로운 실험 장비나 첨단 기술을 접하는 기회 제공 차원이 큰 것으로 나타났다. R&E 프로그램에서 멘토의 역할이 중요하며, 멘토의 역할은 학생들의 생산적 참여 정도와 과학 및 과학자의 인식에 큰 영향을 주었다.

Effect of palmitoleic acid on the differentiation of bovine skeletal muscle satellite cells

  • We hypothesized that the unsaturated fatty acid palmitoleic acid (POA) could promote the expression of adipogenic/lipogenic genes in bovine skeletal muscle satellite cells (BSCs). The BSCs were cultured in a growth medium containing 10% fetal bovine serum. When the cells reached 80%-90% confluence, we used the differentiation medium with 5% horse serum for differentiation for 96 h. The differentiation medium contained 50 µM, 100 µM and 200 µM POA. Control BSC were cultured only in differentiation media. Compared with the control BSC, the POA BSC significantly up-regulated the expression of paired box 3 (Pax3) and paired box 7 (Pax7) and down-regulated myogenin gene expression (p < 0.01), which indicates a depression in muscle fiber development. However, all POA treatments up-regulated the expression of the adipocyte transcription factors peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor γ (PPARγ), CCAAT/enhancer-binding protein alpha and beta (C/EBP α and C/EBP β), and other genes (p < 0.01) and increased the expression of PAT-family proteins and the concentration of adiponectin in the media. These results indicate that POA can convert part of BSCs into adipocytes.

초등학교 과학교과에서의 과학연구윤리교육 내용 상세화 (Development of Teaching Guidelines for Science Research Ethics Education in Elementary School Science)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop science research ethics guidelines for elementary school teachers. To develop the guidelines, authors have conducted the following procedures: Development of guidelines through literature reviews; and an application of the developed guidelines to classroom sites. Authors established sections and formats of guidelines for science research ethics through literature reviews and developed contents of major sections and subsections and their explanations and descriptions. After that, authors applied the developed guidelines at elementary science classes and collected data through semi-structured interviews with science class teachers and checklists to reflect on and complement the contents of the guidelines. To secure the validity of guidelines, authors requested a validity assessment to four science education experts and one ethics education specialist. As a result, the CVI for the guidelines was found to be 0.9. Finally, authors developed the final guidelines by adding "Case Examples of Application" by adopting requests of elementary school teachers who used the provisional guidelines.

과학중점학교 교육과정 운영이 정의적 영역 및 비교과 체험활동 만족도에 미치는 영향 (An Influence of Curriculum of Science Core School on the the Affective Domain and Non-subject Hands-on Activities Satisfaction)

  • Under this research, the survey is made on the definitive influence of the first-year education process of the science focus school for each of humanities, science and science core courses and the level of satisfaction of the non-curriculum experiment activity program for each course to find out the effectiveness of the first-year education process of the science focus school. For this purpose, this research has set three research issues. First, By clarifying the research result through the first-year education curriculum for science core school, noticeable change was observed for science focus school students through the change of attitude related to science for each desired course of students. Second, in the self-directed learning characteristics change, there was meaningful change for each desired field of students. Students hoping for humanities curriculum had great help in improvement of creative thinking for openness, creativeness and the like, but the influence was slightly insufficient in the moderation and control capability on themselves in learning attitude. Third, By analyzing the research result comprehensively, the first-year education curriculum for science core school provides high level of tailored science learning for the science focus school students and the level of satisfaction for students was significantly high.
