The purpose of this research is to provide new direction on the field of the furniture design and to establish the identity of Korean furniture design as the flow of craft's juxtapose mixture era where it mix and match Korean traditional craft style materials with the modern furniture design. In other words, it is intended to create new furniture design and propose beautiful Korean luxury furniture design based on the precious unique culture with the traditional craft style, juxtaposition of modern furniture, and reinterpretation. It should grant artistic values that can satisfy consumers having various tastes and scarcity values, plus it should put out aesthetic and creative expressions in furniture design putting into the beautiful traditional craft form values. Furthermore, it is required to create new design through values and spirit, materials, techniques, forms, pattern, and usages by interacting, coordinating, and combining tradition and modern East and West, plus craft and design.

A properly determined separation minima applied in Air Traffic Management(ATM) is critical for safe and efficient aircraft operations. The separation minima is primarily determined by the accuracy performance of surveillance system, and, due to the stringent aviation safety standard, the position accuracy of the surveillance system must be estimated with a high level of reliability. This study proposed a method for estimating the position accuracy of surveillance system with a relatively small amount of data by finding upper confidence limit instead of maximum likelihood values of unknown parameters. Through the proposed method, it is possible to determine a required separation minima with a more reliability in the face of data scarcity which often occurs when we implement a new surveillance system such as Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B).

The purpose of this study was to investigate TV home shoppers' compulsive buying, focused on shopping orientation and marketing promotion variables. Four hundred one female home shoppers who have purchased fashion products through TV home shopping. For data analysis, descriptive statistics, factor analysis, t-test, and Cronbach's Alpha were used in this study. The results were as follows: First, approximately 17% of respondents were revealed as compulsive buyers. Second, for shopping orientation instrument, three factors of shopping orientation were found and labeled as 'indifferent', 'hedonic', and 'economic' factors. Third, compared to non-compulsive buyers, compulsive buyers had higher hedonic scores. Finally, compulsive buyers considered marketing promotion variables such as show host, scarcity sales, gift events as important factors for their purchasing than non-compulsive buyers. Based on these results, it would provide TV home shopping marketers efficient and social responsible marketing strategies.

Cognitive Radio (CR) technology is proposed for using the unused spectrum band efficiently because of the spectrum scarcity problems. Spectrum sensing is one of the most challenging issues in cognitive radio system. In this paper, we focus on the signal detection of WiBro system band. As most of the modulated signals can be treated as cyclostationary random process, we can detect the signal of the OFDM signals in WiBro system. OFDM symbols using WiBro system have several pilot subcarriers and periodic pilots have cyclostationary characteristic. To improve the detection performance, we get diversity gain using multiple antennas.

To protect water pollution and scarcity in lake and river, water quality monitoring applications have become important tools to understand the change of aquatic ecosystem. KLEON (Korean Lake Ecological Observatory Network) is designed to manage and share the ecological observations. The various kinds of water quality and phytoplankton observations are collected from the selected observatories such as seven lakes/rivers/wetlands. To deeply understand the collected observations with weather, KLEON also manages the observatory information such as lake, dam, floodgate, and weather. The accumulated observation and analyzed results are used to improve the water quality index of the observatories and encourage the ecologists' cooperation.

기존의 웹 검색 시스템은 주어진 키워드들을 모두 포함한 웹 페이지의 도출을 목표로 하기 때문에, 검색어의 popularity가 떨어지는 경우나, 키워드의 한정 정도가 과도하거나 많아지는 경우, 또는 키워드가 길어지는 경우 등에는 검색결과가 크게 줄어드는 결과희소성 문제(scarcity problem)를 겪게 된다. 본 연구에서는 이를 해결하기 위해서 검색결과를 개별 웹페이지 집합이 아닌 관련 웹페이지들간의 링크 구조로 도출해주는 확장된 검색 방법을 제시한다. 확장된 웹 검색은 링크기반 분석을 활용하여 개별 질의들에 대한 검색 결과 페이지들간의 링크 관계를 탐색하고, 도출된 검색 결과의 순위 측정을 통해 이루어진다. 본 연구에서 제안하는 확장된 웹 검색 방법은 결과희소성 문제에 효과적임을 보였다.

The purpose of study is to provide fundamental data for the improvement of the teacher inservice training for environmental education through analysis of current inservice training programmes. The subject of analysis are documents on training programmes which was conducted after 2000 by 10 training organizations. Based on the results of this study, inservice training programmes is classified with 6 organizations which consist of education training institute, education & scientific research institute, national · public organizations, colleges of an attached organizations, civil organizations, teacher research society. The strategies for improvement of proposed in this study can be summarized as follows: First,'60 hours training programmes for general competencies improvement of environmental teacher' have to reconsider about scarcity areas to analysis of programmes. Second, this training programmes need to establish in training programmes of nothing region for increase in training opportunity of teachers. Third,'the core training programmes'is continued to be complementing about this programmes and need to establish about training programmes of teaching method of environmental education, environmentally value and attitude, etc

This paper sought to provide information regarding the water resources in the Philippines, focusing on the issues of water quality, status of water use and water scarcity, and other threats to water availability. Although the country has sufficient amount of water resources, it was found out that water availability is still threatened by some major water resources problems: increasing water demand due to drastic growth in population, water resources pollution, droughts and flooding and weak institutional framework to address these problems. Water quality problems include increasing groundwater and surface water pollution. Moreover, drought and flooding have also increased damages in recent years due to deteriorating watersheds and high economic and population growth. In relation to these, the Government enacted national laws to define and deal with water control and quality management. The objective of this research was to present and evaluate current conditions and issues on Philippine water resources.

At present water crisis is not an issue of scarcity, but of access. There is a growing recognition of the need for increased access to clean water (drinkable, agricultural, industrial use). An encouraging number of innovative technologies, systems, components, processes are emerging for water-treatment, including new filtration and disinfectant technologies, and removal of organics from water. In the past decade many methods have been developed. The most important membrane-based water technologies include reverse osmosis (RO), ultrafiltration (UF), microfiltration (MF), and nanofiltration. Beside membrane based water-treatment processes, other techniques such as advanced oxidation process (AOP) have also been developed. Some unconventional water treatment technology such as magnetic treatment is also being developed.
