Study of the effect of career preparation and career maturity on employment among Specialized high school graduates (특성화고 고졸청년층의 진로준비 및 진로성숙이 취업에 미치는 영향 연구)

  • With regard to gaining employment for specialized high school graduates, what are the significant factors? Along with specialized high school's employment support, facility and subject support, vocational ability support, career guidance, and employment support are implemented at school. At the same time, individuals are learning career preparation behavior and job search behavior. Those factors influence the career maturity. Therefore, a question is, "Do they finally affect employment?" The independent variables were composed of satisfaction on school support, such as facility and subject support, career preparation behavior at home, pre-job search behavior, and career maturity. A structural equation was created and an analysis was conducted. As a result of the analysis, the satisfaction on school support has significant impacts on career maturity and career preparation behavior at home and influences on employment directly or indirectly. The career preparation behavior at home not only has a direct impact on employment, but also increases the pre- job search behavior and career maturity. In particular, it was confirmed that the career preparation behavior at home is the main factor to increase employment via the pre-job search behavior. Considering the effects among the factors in gender, the satisfaction on school support directly increases employment, particularly for women. Therefore, high-quality school support programs should be enhanced, focusing on employment support programs for women. In addition, as satisfaction on school support increases, women are more likely to undergo career preparation behavior at home. This suggests that the career preparation behavior for females, such as conversation about career, is a critical factor to increasing employment unlike males. Therefore, support programs for women that is aimed at parents should be developed.

  • Purpose - The purpose of this study is to derive practical implications for human resource management to improve service quality by demonstrating the moderating effect of perceived supervisor support in the relationship between self-leadership, job satisfaction, and customer orientation. Research design, data, and methodology - 800 questionnaires were distributed and collected for beauty service companies with two or more employees. Among them, 602 data were analyzed using SPSS 24 and AMOS 24. For the assessment of goodness of fit of the models, TLI, CFI, RMSEA indices were used. Result -The empirical results are as follows. First, it was found that self-leadership had a positive effect on job satisfaction and customer orientation. Second, job satisfaction was found to have a positive effect on customer orientation. Third, it was found that job satisfaction had a mediating effect in the relationship between self-leadership and customer orientation. Fourth, empirical data showed that the moderating effect of supervisor support in the relationship between self-leadership on job satisfaction was significant. Conclusion -This study contributed to the expansion of related theories by analyzing the moderating effect of perceived supervisor support in the relationship between self-leadership, job satisfaction, and customer orientation, and provides practical implications for efficient human resource management.

A Study on the Effects of the Internal Customer Satisfaction Management on Job Satisfaction at General Hospital - Focused on the Moderating Effect by the Organizational Support Awareness and Organizational Justice - (병원 내부고객 만족경영이 구성원의 직무만족에 미치는 영향 - 조직지원 인식과 조직공정성 지각의 조절효과를 중심으로 -)

  • The purpose of this study is proving the effects of the internal customer satisfaction management on worker's job satisfaction at general hospital. In the relationship between the management and the satisfaction, the study also finds the moderating effect of the organizational support awareness and the organizational justice. For this study, it was surveyed targeting 270 employees who work in seven general hospitals in Busan. As the result, 246 questionnaires returned. All of these questionnaires were used in the final analysis. The method of analysis is descriptive statistics using SPSS VER. 18.0, correlation analysis, regression analysis, factor analysis and reliability analysis. The main results of empirical analysis were as follows: First, in the effect of the internal customer satisfaction management to worker's job satisfaction, it has positive effect to internal communication and the commission of authority and it has positive effect to worker's job satisfaction. Second, the organizational support awareness & the organizational justice have moderating effect on the relationship between the internal customer satisfaction management and worker's job satisfaction. Third, the study proves that supporting management hierarchy shows positive effects for all socio-demographic characteristics in the organizational support awareness and the organizational justice.

Causal Relationships between School Adjustment of Middle School Students and Related Variables (중학생의 학교적응 관련요인의 인과적 구조분석)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the causal relationship of familial factors (parental acceptance, autonomy, and family satisfaction), social support (teacher's support and friend's support), school achievement, self-concept, and school adjustment. Based on preceding research, this study established a path model of school adjustment and its related variables. Methods: Two thousand six hundred and twenty nine middle school students participated in this study. Data were collected by a visit-survey with an organized questionnaire and was analyzed by the SPSS and AMOS programs. Results: Self-concept showed a significantly direct influence to school adjustment while both family satisfaction and school achievement directly and indirectly influenced school adjustment. Parental acceptance, autonomy, and social support indirectly influenced school adjustment. Conclusion: These results imply that first, family satisfaction, and self-concept are essential to solve the problems of school adjustment. Especially friend's support, teacher's support and school achievement should help improve the self-concept and school adjustment. Second, a variety of programs are available for schools to employ in an effort to provide interventions for students who demonstrate school maladjustment. Finally, it is necessary for family, school and society members to comprehensively cooperate to improve school adjustment.

The mediating effect of grit and social support on the relationship between self-determination and life satisfaction in nursing students (간호대학생의 자기 결정성과 삶의 만족도 관계에서 그릿과 사회적 지지의 매개효과)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to confirm the relationship between nursing students' self-determination and life satisfaction in order to clarify the mediating effect of grit and social support, which can have a mutual influence on self-determination and life satisfaction. Methods: The data collection for this study was conducted from January 1 to 31, 2022, with nursing students enrolled in nursing departments at six universities located in three regions. The data collected in this study were analyzed using the IBM SPSS statistics 25.0 program. Results: The study found correlations between life satisfaction and self-determination (r=.64, p<.001), grit (r=.41, p<.001), and social support (r=.46, p<.001). Grit (B=0.06) and social support (B=0.06) showed a mediating effect in the relationship between self-determination and life satisfaction. Conclusion: Based on the results of the study, it is suggested that a program that can enhance the life satisfaction of nursing students be developed and implemented by focusing on social support, which is an external resource, and self-determination and grit, which are internal resources.

Prediction of Academic Satisfaction and Academic Achievement Variables in Computer Education of Engineering College Class (전문대학 공학계열 컴퓨터수업에서 학업만족도와 학업성취도 관련변인 연구)

  • The purpose of the present study is to examine prediction of perceived usefulness of learning, school support and learning flow on academic satisfaction, academic achievement and absenteeism in computer education of engineering college. To meet the purpose of the present study, D university was chosen and, two surveys were conducted among the engineering students enrolled in the computer application class. The results of this study through multiple regression analysis indicated that perceived usefulness of learning and school support predicted significantly on satisfaction(${\beta}$ = .53, ${\beta}$ = .21), In addition, perceived usefulness of learning and learning flow predicted significantly on achievement(${\beta}$ = .23, ${\beta}$ = .24), but absenteeism didn't predict significantly on any variables in this study. The results of this study suggested that perceived usefulness of learning, school support and learning flow should be considered as the important elements for designing instructional courses to enhance students' satisfaction and achievement in college education.

School Dietitians' Satisfaction with and Needs for School Meal Service Support Centers (학교 영양(교)사의 학교급식지원센터 이용에 대한 만족도 및 니즈)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate school dietitians' satisfaction with and needs for School Meal Service Support Centers. A web-based on-line survey was conducted with 1,102 nutrition teachers or school dietitians using four School Meal Service Support Centers during the summer of 2011. The data from 578 respondents (52.5%), consisting of 165 (44.4%), 334 (53.4%), 41 (67.2%), and 38 (86.4%) dietitians using Seoul, Gyeonggi, Suncheon and Gyeongju centers, respectively, were analyzed. The main reason for using the centers was subsidies from local governments. The dietitians using the metropolitan centers, which were Seoul and Gyeonggi centers, tended to buy agricultural products through the centers only, and those using local centers, which were Suncehon and Gyeongju centers, bought those products from the private suppliers as well as from the centers. The dietitians' overall level of satisfaction with the centers was not high showing 3.3 out of 5 points; it was significantly associated with the operating system and services of the centers such as system efficiency, delivery accuracy, communication, and information provision rather than the agricultural products provided by the centers. The dietitians preferred joint operation of the centers by local governments and producers' groups. They wanted School Meal Service Support Centers to be evaluated every year. It was suggested that efforts should be made to improve the operation system and service of School Meal Service Support Centers for improving dietitians' satisfaction with the centers. In addition, an evaluation system for School Meal Service Support Centers should be implemented soon based on school dietitians' needs.

Effects of Compassion Satisfaction and Social Support in the Relationship between Compassion Fatigue and Burnout in Hospital Nurses (간호사의 공감피로와 소진과의 관계에서 공감만족과 사회적 지지의 효과)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of compassion satisfaction and social support in the relationship between compassion fatigue and burnout among hospital nurses. Methods: The participants were 430 nurses working in general hospitals. Data were collected with self-administrated questionnaires and analyzed by hierarchical multiple regression. Results: (a) Compassion fatigue had a significant positive effect on burnout; (b) social support and compassion satisfaction had negative effects on burnout, and (c) social support and compassion satisfaction did not moderate the effects of compassion fatigue on burnout. Conclusion: These findings provide strong empirical evidence for the importance of compassion fatigue, compassion satisfaction and social support in explaining burnout of nurses. Also, it would be of great value to further define compassion fatigue and compassion satisfaction even though these concepts are not accepted in the realities of health care.

The Determinants of Citizens' Satisfaction of E-Government: An Empirical Study in Vietnam

  • This research aims to identify the determinants of e-government satisfaction in Hanoi, Vietnam, and assess their impact. To collect data, we conducted an online questionnaire with citizens living in Hanoi in a time span of five weeks. We received 1,107 responses, divided into three groups: unaware, known, but not used, and used e-government. After leveraging past studies on satisfaction in different contexts, we arrived at six external variables that are of particular relevance to e-government satisfaction (i.e., efficiency, trust, reliability, convenience, citizen support, and transparency) as well as four control variables (i.e., age, gender, education level, and Internet frequency). We then applied both SPSS 22 and STATA 2016 to process and analyze the collected data and found that, while almost all external variables are statistically significant, all four control variables are not. Apart from convenience and trust, four factors - efficiency, reliability, citizens support, transparency - are important measures of system quality, information quality, service quality and relative benefits of e-government, which in turn positively and significantly impact citizens' satisfaction with the online public services. Furthermore, the efficiency variable has the most influence on customer satisfaction, and the level of impact on the dependent variable decreases in the following order: citizen support, reliability and transparency.

Prediction of Learning Flow, School Flow and School Support on Satisfaction and Learning Persistence in Engineering College (학습몰입, 학교몰입, 학교 지원의 만족도, 학습지속의향에 대한 예측력 검증)

  • The participants were 102 students with digital broadcasting and media major.. A hypothetical model proposed included learning flow, school support as predictors, and satisfaction and learning persistence as a criterion. The results of this study through multiple regression analysis indicated that learning flow and school flow predicted significantly on satisfaction. And school flow, school support, and satisfaction predicted significantly on learning persistence. In addition, satisfaction mediated between learning flow and learning persistence, and between school flow and learning persistence. A constructive foundation for providing learning strategies in the successful engineering education would be proposed on the basis of the current results of this study.
