1. Background Among the clinical application of Sasang Constitutional diagnostic methods, a morphologic study of face is recognized by the Ministry of Health and Welfare as a legitimate Hanbang diagnostic method. But there are some indirect different view about this method. We should criticize this method for the better. 2. Method We criticize the current morphologic study of face by its literature basis, its measurement and its result, compared with ${\ulcorner}$Dongyisoosebowon${\lrcorner}$ and other related literatures. 3. Conclusions We suggest thar the current morphologic study of face is not proper for the clinical application of Sasang Constitutional diagnostic method in the point of the lack of literature basis and the intervention of the examiner's subjectivities.

1. Objectives The purpose of this case study is to evaluate the effects of Yangkyuksanhwa-tang which is based on Sasang Constitutional Medicine for strabismus of abducence nerve paralysis. 2. Methods This patient was created by Soyangin's Constitutional Medications according to the result of Sasang Constitutional diagnosis. We evaluated the abduction deficit that described how to use Scott and kraft. 3. Results & Conclusions This case study shows an efficient result of using Yangkyuksanhwa-tang in treatment of Strabismus of abducence nerve paralysis.

1. Objectives The purpose of this study is to verify whether one's constitutional medicine can be used for others or not. The results of this study will help us to understand sasang constitutional medicine. 2. Methods In Dong-Mu's writings - ${\ulcorner}$DongMuYooGo${\lrcorner}$, ${\ulcorner}$Dongyi Suse Bowon Sasang ChobonGuen${\lrcorner}$, ${\ulcorner}$Dongyi sasang shinpyun${\lrcorner}$-, I found out that one's constitutional medicine has been used for others. 3. Results and Conclusions 1) There are 13 medicines that have been used and mixed with other constitutional medicines in ${\ulcorner}$DongMuYooGo${\lrcorner}$. 2) There are 3 medicines that have been used and mixed with other constitutional medicines in ${\ulcorner}$Dongyi Suse Bowon Sasang ChobonGuen${\lrcorner}$. 3) There are 18 prescriptions that have combined with other constitutional medicines in ${\ulcorner}$Dongyi sasang shinpyun${\lrcorner}$.

Objectives The aim of study was to suggest diagnostic indicator according to Exterior-Interior disease for the Sasang Constitution based on original symptom. Methods We investigated the literature(『Dongeuisusebowon sinchukbon』) and another study(Clinical Practice Guideline for Disease of Sasang Constitutional Medicine: Diagnosis and Algorithm). As a result, we developed diagnostic indicator of original symptom for Exterior-Interior disease in Sasang Constitutional Medicine. Results and Conclusions Diagnosis of Exterior-Interior disease in Sasang Constitution was decided by heat and cold of original symptom. Detailed indicators of diagnosis in Exterior-Interior disease were heat/cold sensitivity, the degree of sweating, the amount of drinking water, thirst, face color and somatalgia.

1. Objectives These cases are to report that Taeumin patients suffering from positional vertigo treated by Constitutional medications. 2. Methods These patients were treated by Taeumin's Constitutional medications and acupuncture treatment according to the result of Sasang Constitutional diagnosis. We used Visual analogue scale(VAS) for the assessment of vertigo. 3. Results & Conclusions Three patients have been suffering from Positional Vertigo were treated by Taeumin's Constitutional medications(especially Taeumjowi-tang and Jowisungcheng-tang) and showed positive responses about their problems.

Objectives : This study is about two patients of drug-induced secondary parkinsonism caused by antipsychotic drugs. The purpose of this study is to report the clinical effects of Sasang constitutional medicine. Methods : These two patients were treated by Sasang constitutional herbal medications based on "Donguisusebowon". We evaluated the symptoms through the score of the Unified Parkinson's Disease Rating Scale(UPDRS). Results and Conclusions : The patients' chief complaints were improved. This study shows that Sasang constitutional herbal medications are an effective treatment for drug-induced secondary parkinsonism patients, but further studies are still necessary.

1. Objectives: We study on indications and directions of Euphorbiae Kansui Liou ex Wang in Sasang Constitutional Medicine by applications of Euphorbiae Kansui Liou ex Wang. 2. Methods: We analyzed indications and directions by bibliographical applications of Radix Euphorbiae Kansui Liou ex Wang in Traditional Oriental Medicine and Sasang Constitutional Medicine. 3. Results and Conclusions: 1) Euphorbiae Kansui Liou ex Wang is used for various indications which are congested fluids, accumulation, edema, and etc in Traditional Oriental Medicine and Sasang Constitutional Medicine. 2) In Sasang Constitutional Medicine, Euphorbiae Kansui Liou ex Wang is taken by powder in a single-medicine prescriptions and taken with calomelas by powder and tablet in prescriptions, and we have need of clinical study of Radix Euphorbiae Kansui in the future.

1. Objectives The purpose of this case is to evaluate the effects of Sasang constitutional medical diagnosis and treatment on Soeumin Woolgwang-incurable disease with Vascular dementia. 2. Methods We treated two patients who attacked an acute cerebral infarction with dementia. We prescripted Doksampalmul-tang(獨蔘八物湯) for their physical symptoms. The improvement of their diseases were checked through their sleep, irritability, stool and vital sign. 3. Results After the Sasang constitutional medication of Doksampalmul-tang(獨蔘八物湯) were given, their physical symptoms were improved over all. 4. Conclusions This case-studies show an efficient result of using Sasang constitutional medication in the treatment of vascular dementia.

1. Objectives This article is about how we can make use of acupuncture and apply meridians in sasang constitutional medicine. 2. Methods We made several studies of acupuncture in sasang constitutional medicine and explored the development course of meridian. 3. Result and Conclusion 1) Meridians were set up by our understanding of human bodies. 2) We cannot make a use of acupuncture and meridians exactly if we don't confirm a usage of 12 meridians. 3) We need many tries of using meridians in other way. Meridians can be used not only treatment but also diagnosis in sasang constitutional medicine.

Objective The purpose of this study was to provide appropriate methods of taking decoction in Sasang Constitutional Medicine. Methods We investigated the methods of taking decoction written in Lee Je-ma's writings such as "Donguisusebowon(東醫壽世保元)", "Donguisusebowon-Sasangchobongwon(東醫壽世保元四象草本卷)", "Dongmuyoogo(東武遺稿)" and several papers which related to methods of taking decoction. Results and Conclusions The effects of decoction can be affected by the methods of taking decoction. Therefore, when administering decoction of Sasang Constitutional Medicine to the patient, we should consider the stages of disease and condition of patient. This paper shows the appropriate methods of taking decoction in Sasang Constitutional Medicine. Further studies should be needed to find out the appropriate administration methods of various dosage forms.
