The purpose of this study is to investigate the concept of composition of educational service quality through two integrated research methods of open questionnaires and focus group interviews for college students majoring in beauty. Participants in the study majored in beauty at 2-year and 4-year universities nationwide. The enrolled students were set as a population, and 250 people were adopted as a random sampling method and used for the survey. The series of results are as follows. First, as a result of inductive content analysis of open questionnaires, the educational service quality of beauty majors was derived into five areas: major knowledge, educational quality, professor-student intimacy, student needs reflection, usability, curriculum composition, environmental efficiency, educational equipment, and reputation. Second, as a result of the focus group interview, inductive content analysis was more reasonably pointed out and derived in depth. As a result of this study, it is believed that it can be used as basic data for the development of measurement tools for educational service quality of beauty majors.
This exploratory study is to analyze the status of star menus and suggest the development strategy of star menus in the western restaurants of the tourism hotels in Seoul. The data was collected from the chefs who have been working over 15-years in tourism hotels in Seoul by judgement sampling. The questionnaire was composed of Miller and Pavesic's 'Fifty tips for a successful menu' and Khan's 'The evaluation of menu item development', The 30-menu items were selected from the 1st survey on the menu items that were high in both popularity and contribution margin by menu engineering method. The selected menu items were analyzed by 14 lists: simplicity, ready availability of ingredients, quality, flavor, presentation, preparation, service method, nutrition quality, preference, profitability, serving temperature, descriptive copy of menu and publicity. As a result of the study, appetizer category was recorded the highest score by 4.09. Smoked salmon, Tomato and mozzarella cheese, Cream of mushroom, Cream of asparagus, French onion soup, Grilled beef tenderloin, Grilled rib-eye steak, Roasted lamb rack, King prawn, Seafood spaghetti, Chef's salad, Caesar salad, Organic salad, Fruit plate, Italian tiramisu and Yogurt ice cream were recorded high score. The development strategy of star menu is belows : the menu writer must consider the productivity, effectiveness, popularity and profitability, the regular customers want varieties and creativity in the menu and the operators have to include the star menu items in the set menu.

The purpose of this study is to understand how emotional labor of hairdresser effects job burnout and turnover intention. In order to achieve this study, the data is collected from questionnaires distributed to employees of beauty shops of Gwangju and Jeonam using convenience sampling method. A total of 356 questionnaires were used for the research. Survey data is analyzed by SPSS win 21.0 program. The research findings are as follows. First, the emotional labor of hairdresser is classified by the surface action and deep action. Also, job burnout of hairdresser is classified by the emotional exhaustion, reduced personal accomplishment and depersonalization. Second, the effect of emotional labor of hairdressers on job burnout have the significant influence. Third, the effect of emotional labor of hairdressers on turnover intention have the significant influence. Fourth, the effect of job burnout of hairdressers on turnover intention have the significant influence. These results suggest that programs to lower emotional labor should be focused on developments to improve the quality of beauty services.

The purpose of this study is to examine the organizational culture of dental hospitals and clinics, as well as to assess members' perceptions and actual conditions related to sexual harassment. The research method involved conducting a cross-sectional survey of 149 dental hygienists using random sampling. The analysis utilized frequency analysis and descriptive statistical analysis. Regarding awareness of organizational culture within the workplace, 39.6% responded, "It is difficult to freely use maternity and childcare leave at our workplace". When asked about sexual harassment, 51.7% of respondents said they had received training on sexual harassment prevention. The highest level of sexual harassment experienced was "sexual analogy or evaluation of appearance", at 45.8%. The most common perpetrators of sexual harassment were agency heads and directors, at 37.5%. The most common behavior of the victim at the time was "changing the subject or avoiding the scene" (41.7%). 50.0% of victims of sexual harassment responded to the harm by "just putting up with it". The most common response to the direct and indirect impact of sexual harassment was "there was no specific impact". The most common response from the agency was "there were no suitable measures". Regarding the most necessary policy to prevent sexual harassment, "strict punishment for perpetrators (37.5%)" was the highest. There is a need for organizational and cultural changes to reduce sexual harassment in the workplace. Additionally, it is crucial for the country and society as a whole to actively participate in and improve the system.
Proper handling of nonresponse in sample survey improves the accuracy of the parameter estimation. Various studies have been conducted to properly handle MAR (missing at random) nonresponse or MCAR (missing completely at random) nonresponse. When nonresponse occurs, the PSA (propensity score adjusted) estimator is commonly used as a mean estimator. The PSA estimator is known to be unbiased when known sample weights and properly estimated response probabilities are used. However, for MNAR (missing not at random) nonresponse, which is affected by the value of the study variable, since it is very difficult to obtain accurate response probabilities, bias may occur in the PSA estimator. Chung and Shin (2017, 2022) proposed a post-stratification method to improve the accuracy of mean estimation when MNAR nonresponse occurs under a non-informative sample design. In this study, we propose a double post-stratification method to improve the accuracy of the naive PSA estimator for MNAR nonresponse under an informative sample design. In addition, we perform simulation studies to confirm the superiority of the proposed method.

This study analyzed the perceptions of elementary and secondary school teachers regarding the importance of SW/AI education in fostering students' fundamental knowledge and the necessity of integrating SW/AI into education. A total of 830 elementary and secondary school teachers were selected as study subjects using the judgment sampling method. The analysis of survey data revealed that elementary and secondary teachers exhibited a strong awareness of the importance and necessity of SW/AI education, irrespective of school characteristics, region, educational experience, or prior involvement in SW and AI education. Nevertheless, the primary reasons for not implementing SW/AI education were identified as excessive workload and a lack of pedagogical expertise. An analysis of opinions on the essential conditions for implementing SW/AI education revealed that workload reduction, budget support, teacher training to enhance teacher competency, content distribution, expansion of subject-linked courses, and dedicated instructional time allocation were the major influencing factors. These findings indicate a significant demand for comprehensive instructional support and teacher capacity-building programs.
Purpose: This study was conducted to investigate the prevalence and related factors of metabolic syndrome in postmenopausal adult women in South Korea. Methods: Data of 678 postmenopausal adult women aged 19 to 64 were collected from the Eighth Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey in 2021 and analyzed by a complex sampling design using SPSS 20.1. Results: The prevalence of metabolic syndrome in postmenopausal adult women was 25.8%. The prevalence was 1.93 times (confidence interval [CI]=1.15~3.25, p=.014) higher for high school graduates, 2.55 times (CI=1.33~4.91, p=.005) higher for middle school graduates, and 2.90 times (CI=1.36~6.15, p=.006) higher for elementary school graduates, compared to college graduates. It was found that artificial menopausal women had 2.74 times (CI=1.18~6.38, p=.020) higher prevalence than natural menopausal women. In addition, women who perceived their health as bad were 1.90 times (CI=1.14~3.16, p=.014) higher than women who perceived their health as good, and women who did not muscle exercise more than twice a week had 1.87 times (CI=1.05~3.34, p=.034) higher prevalence than women who did muscle exercise. Conclusion: Therefore, in order to effectively prevent and manage metabolic syndrome in postmenopausal adult women, a focus must be placed on vulnerable groups to manage these factors.
Purpose: This study used a self-deterministic approach to explore the relationship between emotional intelligence (EI), academic motivation (AM), and achievement among health science students. Methods: A descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted in three cities of Saudi Arabia (Dammam, Riyadh, and Jeddah). A convenience sample of 450 students was incorporated using the multistage cluster sampling technique. The online survey contained three sections: students' basic data and academic achievement level, the modified Schutte self-report inventory, and the Academic Motivation Scale lowercase. Results: This study revealed moderate overall scores for EI (57.1%), AM (55.6%), and grade point average (GPA) (57.6%). The overall EI score, its domains, and GPA had significant positive correlations with overall AM and intrinsic and extrinsic motivation (p < .01). Amotivation had an insignificant correlation with GPA (p < .05), but it was negatively correlated with EI and its domains (p < .01). Multiple regression analysis proved that EI domains predicted 5.0% of GPA variance; emotions appraisal and expression (β = .02, p = .024), regulation (β = .11, p = .032), and utilization (β = .24, p < .01). EI domains also predicted 26.0% of AM variance; emotions appraisal and expression (β = .11, p = .04), regulation (β = .33, p < .01), and utilization (β = .23, p < .01). Moreover, AM predicted 4.0% of the variance in GPA; intrinsic (β = .25, p = .004) and extrinsic (β = .11, p = .022) motivation. AM also predicted 25.0% of the variance in EI: intrinsic (β = .34, p < .01) and extrinsic motivation (β = .26, p = .026). Conclusion: EI and AM have a bidirectional influence on each other, significantly shaping the GPA of health sciences students in Saudi Arabia, where intrinsic motivation has a predominant role. Thus, promoting students' AM and EI is recommended to foster their academic achievement.
This study aimed to examine the effect of adolescents' perceived parental blame (criticism) on learned helplessness and to examine whether maladaptive metacognitive beliefs and rumination sequentially mediate the relationship between parental blame and learned helplessness. The participants were 316 adolescents (Mean age=16.7, SD=0.75; 137 male, 179 female) attending grades 1st and 2nd in high school in South Korea. The participants were selected using a snowball sampling method, while the data was collected via an online self-report questionnaire. This survey was completed by the participants and analyzed using SPSS 28.0, Amos 26.0 (IBM Co., Armonk, NY), and PROCESS macro version 4.2 (Model 6; Hayes, 2022). The main results are summarized as follows. Firstly, the adolescents' perceived paternal and maternal blame indicated significant direct effects on learned helplessness. Secondly, rumination mediated the effect of paternal and maternal blame on learned helplessness. Lastly, paternal and maternal blame significantly affected learned helplessness through the sequential mediating effects of maladaptive metacognitive beliefs and rumination. This study elucidates the causal structure among the various factors influencing learned helplessness in adolescents, focusing on parental blame, maladaptive metacognitive beliefs, and rumination. Furthermore, considering the verified sequential mediating effects of maladaptive metacognitive beliefs and rumination in the relationship between adolescents' perceived parental blame and learned helplessness, these findings suggest that modifying maladaptive metacognitive beliefs may help to reduce learned helplessness among adolescents who perceive high levels of parental blame.

Objectives: To compare the levels of anxiety on GAD-7 scale among undergraduates of dental, medical and engineering students during COVID-19. The secondary objectives were to correlate the factors influencing level of anxiety and to assess the coping strategies practiced by undergraduates' students of Karachi duri.ng COVID-19 outbreak. Methodology: The cross-sectional based survey was conducted online among the medical, dental and engineering undergraduates' university students of private sector in Karachi through purposive sampling technique during COVID-19 lock down period. The GAD-7 validated tool was used along with the demographic variables, related stress factors and the coping skills practiced during this outbreak. Total 571 questionnaires were found completed in all sections. The data was analyzed on SPSS version 23. P-value <0.05 was considered as statistically significant. Results: The mental health of the students was assessed on GADS-7 scale as normal, mild, moderate and severe levels. From the total (n=18-3.2%) were normal, (n=132-23.1%) had mild, (n=343-60.1%) had moderate and (n=78-13.7%) had severe anxiety level on GADS-7. The levels of anxiety on GAD-7 scale were all positively associated with the related stressors at p-value of 0.000. Moreover the results depicted that there was a moderate and positive correlation found (0.456, 0.447, 0.512 and 0.452) for all related stressors and GAD-7 scale. Taking breaks from watching, reading news regarding the outbreak of COVID-19, meditation and engaging in some other activities were the most frequently used coping strategies for all levels of anxiety among three cohorts of undergraduates'. Conclusion: Undergraduates has shown 96.9% drastically increased level of anxiety during the outbreak of COVID 19 pandemic. Taking breaks from watching, reading news regarding the outbreak of COVID-19 was the most frequent behavior practiced by the students.
