In a rapidly changing society, the rise in standard of living and level of education has brought about a Qualitative change in consumption, especially food consumption. Accordingly, consumers' interest in and the consumption of health foods has also grown at a rapid pace, expanding the health food market. However. because of the consumer's lack of understanding and knowledge about health foods, the reality is a difficulty in establishing sound consumption. Accordingly, this study was conducted to analyze the consumers' purchase behavior for health food. Through this study, consumers will be able to rationally plan for the use of health food items and further to provide necessary information for planning and executing effective marketing strategies producers and distributors of health foods items. The subjects of this study are the 473 Seoul residents over the age of 20 who have used health food items in the past year. The result of this study showed the use of fatigue rehabilitators, with 93.2% of the respondents saying they have used it. was the highest. with natural products honey, vitamin supplements. restorative foods, mineral supplements, young-gi fellowing in order. Recovery from fatigue. with 3.81, was the top reason the respondents started using health food items, followed by maintenance of health, supplement nutrition. and prevent disease. Family and relatives topped the list of information sources with 3.76. followed by TV and friends. On the other the Internet(2.32) and radio(2.35) were shown to be the lowest information sources. Those surveyed listed quality(4.00), safety(3.99). and nutrition(3.93) as evaluative criteria for health food items, in order of importance. The place of purchase most frequented by consumers in the survey were specialty stores(35.3%) leading the way with department stores and door-to-door sales, pharmacy following behind. On the other hand. purchases from direct mail were the lowest with 1.5% The people who bought health food Items were shown to be parent/siblings(37.2%) , self(33.6%) followed by spouse(23.7%) Purchases made by children were very low with only 4.9%. Finally, the level of satisfaction after using health food products were generally not very high. Consumers seem to be satisfied with the effectiveness(3.37) and safety (3.15) of the products. which is very minute, and they were slightly dissatisfied with the quality of the products.
To investigate the effects of national forest management on the regional community, the inter-relationship between the local communities and neighbouring forest owned by the state was surveyed in the three locations, namely pyungchang-gun, Bonghwa-gun, and Kwangyang-gun, which have a large area of national forest. The effect of national forest management on the local community was different depending upon the relationship between the local community and the national forest, the resource base and infrastructure and facilities installed within the national forest. The major contribution of the national forest to regional society is the provision of land resources, forest products, employment opportunities, and social functions of forest. The supply of land resource from the national forest has been increasing steadily due to the increase in demand for public facilities. About one quarter of household income in the forest villages surveyed came out of the sales of forest products, mainly non-timber products. Due to the low level of forest operations for timber production, there are very limited opportunities of employment provided by the national forest. And the use of forest roads by local residents was also to a limited extent. Therefore, it is suggested that the national frosts should be managed such that help to revive the economy of local communities which are disadvantaged in the national investment priority due to the low economic returns.

Considering that the Seoul subway sector is expected to see extension of lines, addition of stations, and changes of operating companies, a review is needed to identify ways to eliminate or minimize financial deficits in its operation. As for deficits from the operation, additional businesses for extra income have been suggested as alternatives, but inasmuch as Western urban development (that of the subway containment area) may not be applicable to Korean settings, a practical alternative is to maximize income by efficient use of rental facilities that are located inside station properties. This alternative requires the estimation of appropriate facility size and rent for each station; few, however, have addressed this topic. At this juncture, this study aimed to draw an equation for estimating the sizes and rents of station properties by reflecting characteristics of lines and locations; a case study was performed for Subway Lines 5 and 6. Analytical findings are that rental facility sizes and rental incomes are affected mainly by the subway ridership and transport revenues, whereas the influence of ground-level commercial activity is relatively weak. A particularly great influence was found to be the value of apartment housing in areas through which the subway lines run. Stations on Line 5, which runs through areas of high-value housing, were assigned smaller facility sizes and higher rents than those on Line 6, which covers areas with relatively low housing value. The equation suggested in this study would make possible more practical feasibility studies when the need arises to estimate sales of new or extended facilities affiliated with stations.

The purpose of this study is to clarify the architectural meaning of the term 'Whole life Department Store' that appeared in newspapers' in the 1980s. A term of 'Whole Life Department Store' is appeared to explain the emergence of department stores, including the space for a wide range of programs and services they need to live, as well as sales. This word, "Whole life", is a compound of the Whole(全) and Life(生活) and word means the entire life. This will assume that you are separated life. So I was thinking that it could be described as regional facilities that classify and distinguish the necessary space for living and building maintenance, etc. in city and architecture since the modern. And Based on this, I would understand the whole life department as regional facilities. Generally a department store is a regional facilities for higher level living area. I analyzed the location and program of department stores at the time of the emergence of the term. Through this analysis department store was located in the daily range around the apartment complex and contained spaces for the daily life of the inhabitants apartment complex. It is significant in this particular department to be valid today and the term of 'Whole Life' department store is not longer used.
In order to find how the recovery justice from the service procedure and result failure affects the quality of customer-brand relationship, we conducted this study following pre research, its correction and supplement of the customers who experienced some service failures in food restaurant. We selected the best five brands in Korean food franchise in the rank of the sales on basis of data of Korean Food Restaurant Information in year 2009. The participants of this research were the people who live in Seoul metropolitan area and ever experienced any service failure within recent 6 months. Of the 500 copies of survey questionnaires distributed, 391 were used for the analysis. The method used for this analysis was the SPSS for WIN 12.0 program and the analysis such as technical statistics analysis, reliability analysis, research element analysis and regression analysis were applied. As a result, the service shortage factor which is one of the service process failures was confirmed to affect procedural justice and distributive justice. It has been confirmed that procedural justice and distributive justice are influenced by the hygiene deficiency which is one of the result failures. It was also found that the product factor affects distribution justice. As for the effect of the quality of recovery justice and a customer-brand relationship, procedural justice and distributive justice were found to affect the mutual dependency while procedural justice affects a familiarity.

As the process of economic globalization deepens market uncertainty and severe competition, modern companies are tend to rely on non-market, socio-economic mechanisms such as trust, collaboration, and interdependence, They are being more influenced by cultural economic mechanisms like networks, embeddedness, and placeness rather than explicit cost-reductions. This paper analyzes the characteristics of industrial clusters, the formation of social capital, and the process of institutionalization by comparing two distinctive types of clusters, say Teheran and East-Gate Valleys in Seoul, Korea. The one is mainly consisted of IT industries with increasing vertical integration supported by venture capitals and favorable business infrastructures. The other cluster has long been a traditional CBD frame of Seoul and has transformed to the most dynamic and productive area, characterized by one-stop 'R&D-production-distribution-consumption-after sales services'. The study of the developmental trajectory and key characteristics for these kinds of clusters can give us insight for the cluster theory. This paper firstly reviews the similarities and differences between the social capital in general and that of industrial clusters. It then profiles the growth of the two clusters over the past decade, and compares the current spatial and business structure of the two clusters, focusing on transactions costs, the creation and flow of information, and the local institutions. The paper concludes with some comments about the prospects and perils of the two types industrial clusters of Seoul.

As the demand for urban business hotel has increased in the recent years due to the sharp rise in overseas tourists, the potential of business hotel development has gained in financial attention for the real estate investment. However, its concept and business domain has not been defined, and none of investment guidance for the development has not been clarified. Accordingly, this report intends to define the concept of urban business hotel in perspective of real estate investment through prior case studies and literature review, and provide the structure of determinants which control its investment decisions. Furthermore, this study develops the weight of determinants depending on the type of investment, and evaluate the two actual projects in urban area of Seoul, differed from investment type: direct and indirect, based on AHP and Fuzzy methodologies. Research finding indicate that the financial factors affecting the sales and tour business condition factors are critical determinants regardless of investment type. And it is notable that the direct investment perspective pays more attention on the finance and investment associated determinants while the indirect one more focuses on the regional and environmental ones. From the analysis of case evaluation, it is also noteworthy that the direct investors turn out to be more conservative than indirect investors due to the risk of equity capital investment.
In this study, the Pine & Gilmore(1998) and Schmitt(1999, 2003), based on previous studies. Recent trends in large department stores and distribution outlets, discount stores and large retail centers, such as the consumer's experience is divided into internal and external fashion brand stores navigation study. Fashion Brand Stores are defined as the inside of the fashion brand store of the form that sells only the products of a fashion company's brand. Meanwhile, shopping center is defined as all the places at the inside and out of the shopping center excluding the inside of the fashion brand store. Likewise, definitions are clarified as such for use. As for the research method for this study, semi-structured focus group interviews were used since they could provide many more data compared to in-depth interviews. Accordingly, data was collected while carrying out free discussions while two to three subjects listened to each other's opinion regarding the key words raised by the interviewer and while thinking about their experience at the inside and outside of the fashion brand stores. As for the subjects, female consumers between the ages of 20 and 50 were targeted, and the interviews conducted with four, seven, four and three women in their 20s, 30s, 40s and 50s, were used, respectively. Likewise, there were a total of 18 subjects. Exploratory Study of Customer Experience area was classified into integration of significance and categorization. In particular, the contents were classified into elements of experience inside the fashion brand stores and fashion brand stores outsider experience in the shopping center elements and the elements of the common experience of fashion stores and shopping centers based on the results concerning the key contents identified in-depth from the customer aspect. The key experience elements at the inside of fashion brand stores were identified as VMD experience, emotional experience, and experience of the service provided by sales representatives. As for the key experience elements at the shopping center which is at the outside of the fashion brand store, they included service scape experience, cultural event experience, playful behavior experience. Meanwhile, elements of common experience included educational experience and exclusivity experience and human respect experience, which demonstrated some difference in terms of the contents.

This study is to identify factors influencing therapeutic diversification strategy for Korean pharmaceutical companies. So, it purposes to find deciding factors for companies to adopt strategy for diversification or specialization. In this paper, we set six factors that are expected to influence diversification. The factors are asset scale, sales, profitability, and growth potential. Also, we included number of employees and SG&A cost ratio as factors that reflect business characteristics. We analyzed the impacts of each factor on diversification and found a relationship amongst each other. In this paper, regression analysis is applied with forward selection method, considering that it takes 5 years for companies to decide on diversification strategy. As a result, asset scale, the number of employees and profitability have significantly influenced decisions of diversification at t-1 time, and growth potential was significantly influenced at t-2 time. Korean pharmaceutical companies generally tend to go with specialization model if they have larger asset scale, higher profitability and growth potential. However, they have tendency to decide on diversification strategy, if they have large number of employees. Overall, the result of this study is expected to provide useful information for Korean pharmaceutical companies to set the suitable strategy for their situation to become a competitive company in global pharmaceutical market.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to research the display of optician's shop through questionnaire to suggest the direction for more effective display method. Methods: The study visited 50 optician's shops located in main area of Ulsan (university street, downtown and residential street), performed questionnaire and researched optician's display preference. Results: The displays preferred by opticians were as follows. They displayed contact lens in entrance of shop, displayed sunglasses in the wall rather than displayed them in the center of shop and displayed medium or low price products in the center so that consumers could access them conveniently. In addition, they prepared resting place for customer's convenience by locating it in entrance or inside of shop. Conclusions: It seems that effective display of optician's shop can attract consumer's mind and improve purchase, resulting in significant change of optician's shop sales. Therefore, it is necessary to perform the study to use systematic, discriminated display strategy so that shop image can be controlled consistently and continuously.
