고무차륜 AGT 경량전철 차량-주행궤도 안전성 평가 (Safety evaluation of rubber-tired AGT light rail vehicle-running track)

  • This study was aimed at evaluating the structural safety for rubber tired AGT system. Based on these, AGT system which was developed for first time in domestic is need to verify structural safety. So we measured the characteristics of guide-rail, switch rail, side wall in the constructed test track for rubber tired AGT system. Finally, all results of test showed that structural safety of the rubber tired AGT system.

A Fault Diagnosis Method in Cascaded H-bridge Multilevel Inverter Using Output Current Analysis

  • Multilevel converter topologies are widely used in many applications. The cascaded H-bridge multilevel inverter (CHBMI), which is one of many multilevel converter topologies, has been introduced as a useful topology in high and medium power. However, it has a drawback to require a lot of switches. Therefore, the reliability of CHBMI is important factor for analyzing the performance. This paper presents a simple switch fault diagnosis method for single-phase CHBMI. There are two types of switch faults: open-fault and short-fault. In the open-fault, the body diode of faulty switch provides a freewheeling current path. However, when the short-fault occurs, the distortion of output current is different from that of the open-fault because it has an unavailable freewheeling current flow path due to a disconnection of fuse. The fault diagnosis method is based on the zero current time analysis according to zero-voltage switching states. Using the proposed method, it is possible to detect the location of faulty switch accurately. The PSIM simulation and experimental results show the effectiveness of proposed switch fault diagnosis method.

Compatibility of the Direction Sign on the Pendant Switch of Overhead Cranes

  • Objective: The aim of this study is to suggest the standard of the direction sign on the pendant switch of overhead cranes which can reduce human errors in control. Background: A great number of crane accidents occur in industries. One of the major causes of the accidents is the mistake in the control of cranes by confusing the orientation of crane movements. Nevertheless, three different direction sign styles, 'East, West, South, North (EWSN)', 'Forward, Backward, Left, Right (FBLR)', and arrows for four directions are used without standardization. Method: An overhead crane simulator was installed for a laboratory experiment. It could move along six directions by the control of a pendant switch. 90 participants were evenly assigned to the three different conditions of direction sign styles. The participants were asked to control the pendant switch according to the continuously appearing 16 direction signs on a monitor ahead. The participants were allowed to refer an orientation sign board on the ceiling representing correct movement directions of the overhead crane simulator. Results: The direction sign style, 'EWSN', showed statistically significant better performance in task completion time and number of errors than the other sign styles. The direction sign style, 'EWSN', adopting the cardinal direction system, made the participants clear in direction controls after customizing to the crane movements. However, the direction sign styles, 'FBLR' and the arrows adopting the relative direction system made conflicts in direction controls due to the egocentric view of human. Conclusion: The direction sign style, 'EWSN', is the most appropriate for the standardization of the direction sign on the pendant switch of overhead cranes. Application: The results of this study can be applied to the standardization of direction sign in the legal notification on the safety certifications of crane manufacturing.

  • The reliability and accuracy of the information on control rod position are very important to the reactor safety and the design of the core protection system. In this study, a thorough investigation on the RSPT(Reed Switch Position Transmitter) type control rod position indication system and its actual implementation in the exiting nuclear power plants in Korea was performed first. A design of the control rod position indication system using reed switch for the CEDM on the system-integrated reactor SMART was developed based on the position indicator technology identified through the investigation. The feasibility of the design was evaluated by test of manufactured control rod position indicator using reed switch for SMART.

자기부상열차용 트레버스 분기기 최적설계 연구 (Study on Optimal Design of Traverse Switch System for Maglev Train)

  • 고장차량의 대피, 급행열차 통과 시 완행열차의 대피, 주박 차량의 정차 등의 이유로 자기부상열차의 비상대피선은 반드시 필요하다. 자기부상열차용 비상대피선을 구현하는 방법은 크게 두 가지가 있다. 첫번째는 관절식 분기기를 이용하는 방식이고 두번째는 트레버스 분기기를 이용하여 차량을 적재한 상태에서 궤도를 이동시키는 방식이다. 현재 개발된 도시형 자기부상열차는 2량 1편성으로 구성되어 있으며 총 길이는 약 25m로 트레버스 분기기를 적용할 경우 약 30m의 길이 공간만을 필요로 하기 때문에 트레버스 분기기를 적용할 경우 공간적, 비용적 측면에서 이점이 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 구조적 안정성 확보 및 경량화를 위한 자기부상열차용 트레버스 분기기 최적설계를 진행하였다. 이를 위해 트레버스 분기기의 상면 콘크리트 매립부와 거더 높이를 설계변수로 선정하고 실험계획법, 크리깅 등의 최적화 기법을 적용하여 유한요소해석을 진행하였다. 최대 응력, 변형, 구조물 중량의 결과값 비교를 통해 구조적 안정성을 확보하면서 경량화할 수 있는 설계변수를 선정하고 재해석을 통해 해석 결과의 타당성을 입증하였다.

과전류 및 단락사고 방지용 전기안전 제어장치에 관한 연구 (A Study on Electric Safety Control Device for Prevention of Over Current and Short Circuit Faults)

  • This paper is studied on a protective control system for electrical fire and electrical faults due to over current or electric short circuit faults by using electrical thermal characteristics of PTC (Positive Temperature Coefficient) thermistor and current response characteristics of high sensitive reed switch. The PTC thermistor has characteristic of positive resistivity temperature coefficient according to the temperature variation, which is construction of a regular square and cube demarcation with BaTiO3_Ceramics of positive temperature coefficient. Also PTC thermistor shows the phenomenon which is rapidly increased in the resistivity if the temperature is increased over Curie temperature point, and reed switch, which is used for electrical fault current sensing devices, have a excellent characteristic of response velocity in degree of ${\mu}s{\sim}ms$ that sensing magnetic flux in proportion to dimension of line current. This paper is proposed on a protective control system use PTC thermistor and reed switch for sensor which is protected from electrical fire due to overload faults or electric short circuit faults. Some experimental results of the proposed electric safety control device are confirmed to the validity of the analytical results.

자동점멸식 보안등 점검함 개발 (Development of an Inspection Box for a Guard Lamp with an Automatic Switch)

  • 본 논문에서는 최근 증가 일로에 있는 자동점멸식 보안등에 대한 안전점검 방안을 제시하였다. 기술적인 측면으로서 보안등주의 하부에 안전점검을 위한 별도의 점검함을 설치하고 점검원이 누설전류, 누전차단기의 정상적인 동작 상태, 절연저항 및 접지저항을 승주하지 않고 측정할 수 있도록 하였으며, 충전부에 대한 직접 접촉의 가능성을 최대한으로 경감함으로써 감전의 위험으로부터 자유로울 수 있도록 설계하였다. 본 연구의 결과물을 실용화함으로써 보안등에 대한 점검을 최대한 안전하고 효율적으로 수행하는데 일조할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

롤러기 재해분석 및 사용실태 조사 (Accident Analysis and Usage Actual Condition about Roller)

  • The purpose of this study is to try to find the risk of roller(mixing mill) in working site. In order to achieve the purpose, accident analysis and survey was carried out. This analysis revealed that average of loss days is 334.3 by roller jamming accident and 229.2 by other causes. It means jamming accident entails serious bodily harm. According to our research, we realize that most of rollers have some risk of the jamming accidents. It is simply because the roll gap in the roller is not more than 10cm. It also does not meet minimum distance so as to avoid the risk for jamming accident by KS. Furthermore, 28% of rollers have only one switch and 40% of rollers have two switches operating emergence stop equipment so as to reduce the risk of jamming accidents. Therefore, we presume that it is very difficult to turn on the switch of emergence stop equipment when they confront the accident because most of engineers are working alone.

  • This study proposes an industrial rehabilitation robot system which can exercise two joints in 3 dimensional spaces. The robot kinematics analysis and the results of studies on each joint for the rehabilitation robot could verify possibility of rehabilitation motion to exercise a joint. The force and torques sensor not only measures a rehabilitation performance of subjects between the abnormal limb and the manipulator, but also carries out an important function of safety device to prevent accidents. Also, limit sensors and emergency stop switch are used for high safety in this system. In this real test, the possibility of rehabilitation robot system is evaluated by C&R ARM I which is similar to upper-limb.
