선박 AIS정보 응용을 위한 데이터베이스 설계 및 구현 (Database Design and Implementation for Vessel AIS Information Application)

  • 해상 교통량이 증가함에 따라 높아지는 선박 사고위험을 줄이기 위해 안전 운항을 위한 시스템은 필수적이다. 국제해사기구의 SOLAS에서는 선박에 AIS(Automatic Identification System)의 탑재를 의무화 하였다. AIS는 육상과 타 선박에 신원, 종류, 위치, 항해 상태를 포함한 각종 항해정보와 선박상태를 자동으로 알리는 시스템이다. 안전운항을 위한 응용서비스 개발의 대부분의 경우에 AIS는 활용될 수 있으므로, 체계적인 정보의 관리가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 수신된 메시지 정보를 관리하기 위해 데이터베이스를 도입하였다. AIS메시지를 정적정보와 동적정보로 나누어 저장하고, 전자해도 기반 AIS 정보를 디스플레이하는 시스템 구현을 통해 설계의 결과를 확인했다.

항행안전무선시설의 지리적분리간격 분석 프로그램 개발 (Development of Analysis Program for Geographical Separation of Radio Navigation Aids)

  • 항행안전무선시설은 전파를 이용하여 항공기 안전운항에 필요한 정보를 제공하는 매우 중요한 요소이다. 최근 전파를 이용하는 무선시설이 크게 늘어남으로써 인접채널에 의한 항공주파수 전파방해 가능성은 매우 커지고 있다. 뿐만 아니라, 항행안전시설을 위협하는 불규칙한 전파방해 및 인공위성을 활용하는 위성항행시스템 주파수 사용이 급증하고 있어 항공전파 안전성 확보가 시급하다. 본 논문에서는 국내 항행시스템의 종류별 특성과 주파수를 조사하였고, 분석 프로그램 개발을 위하여 국내외 지리적 분리간격 기준을 분석하였다. 또한, 항행안전시설 설치 시 인접시설에 영향이 없도록 국제규정을 적용한 항행안전무선시설의 지리적분리간격 분석 프로그램을 개발하였다. 본 분석 프로그램은 운영현황 표시 기능, 신설시 지리적 분리 시뮬레이션 기능, 미부합 시 조치방안 제안 기능 등을 제공한다.

港灣의 最適入出港線路 시스템에 關한 硏究 (A Study on the Optimal Waterway System of Port)

  • The Waterway System for the Very Large Ships is One of the Important System connected between Marine Transport System and Exclusive Terminal. This study analyzed the Turning Configurations and Placement of Fairway Buoys in Waterway at the Port of Kwangyang to make Optimal Suggestion of for Ship's Safe Navigation. The following Conclusions are drawn : 1) In Area Section A, Starboard hand Buoy No14 should be changed its Location and Light Rhythms, and Buoy Nos.13 '||'&'||' 16 are required their Light Rhythms to be changed. 2) Especially in Area Section B located before the Turning Basin, The Location and Light Rhythms of Nos.20 '||'&'||' 22 buoys at Starboard Hand should be changed, Port Hand No.21 also should be done, and East Cardinal Buoy located between Nos.21and 23 should be changed its Light Rhythms, or removed if possible. 3) Buoy no.19 of Lateral Port Hand in Section B should be changed "Preferred Channel to Startboard" to distinguish Main Channel from Secondary One.

  • Navigation system or way finding in Wearable computer help disabled and impaired persons and it is impossible to be safe and efficient for drivers as well as pedestrian. Wearable computing situation must be multi-tasking simultaneously and users need minimal attention. In this paper, we used virtual environment as real way-finding similarly. The direction cues of navigation system are investigated as visual only, visual & auditory, and visual & speech. In the paper, the trial demonstrates the difference of performance in detection of directing and performance of motor and subjective satisfaction of user.

  • Evaluation of collision risk plays a key role in developing the expert system of navigation and collision avoidance. This paper presents a new collision risk model formula that is one modification model on the basis of one approach to the evaluation of collision risk using sech function produced by Prof. Jeong in his relevant $articles^{[2][3][4][5]}$. And as a grope in collision risk evaluation field, this paper applied the new model in appraising the collision risk, suggested how to decide the safe range of own ship’'s action. Moreover this paper also analyzed theoretically how to determine the coefficients as describes in the new modification model formula, and suggested the appropriate values as applicable.

  • 국제 해사기구(IMO)에서는 선박의 안전한 항해를 위한 인적 요소와 관련된 연구의 중요성을 인식하고 있다. 사용자의 요구에 기초한 항해장비의 사용성은 이내비게이션 분야에서 중요한 이슈가 되고 있다. 다양한 분야에서 많은 사용성의 평가방법이 연구되어져 오고 있지만, 항해장비 분야의 연구에는 미흡한 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 AR 기반의 항행정보 시스템의 사용성 평가 체크리스트를 제안하고자 한다.

Fundamental Research for Escape Guidance System Development of Passenger Ship

  • This study represents a fundamental research for a passenger-ship escape guidance system that is a ship-borne agent, and it is for the support of escape decision-making by providing accurate maritime safety information in real time. We conducted a passenger escaping experiment on a training ship, SAEYUDAL, using the situation-aware escape guidance system, which has been developed for on-board application based on products for buildings. It is shown that the system contributes to the shortening of the escape duration and the dispersion of the escaping persons by generating and guiding the safe escape routes which dangerous areas are considered. From the experiment on ship's heeling condition, it is revealed that the heeling angle is linearly related to the escape duration. Therefore, this study shows that the shortening of the escape duration enables a safe and rapid mustering that is the most important process under emergency and appropriate incident responses to minimize loss of lives.

Analysis of the IMO's Role for Safe Maritime Transport System

  • Keeping in mind that there are only limited social, economic and administrative resources for reducing marine casualties, the result of statistical survey showed the loopholes of safe maritime transport system, and rendered that most casualties occurred in coastal waters by human errors. When the IMO Marine Casualty Investigation Code was utilized to reveal any structural vulnerability of the international measures, IMO was required to expand its roles to enhance the interface between Liveware and Environment of SHEL model. So, several risk assessment models were studied and found that Maritime Safety Audit System of the Republic of Korea could be a good example of enhancing safe interface between navigators (Liveware) and the navigational circumstances (Environment). It could be dealt with at IMO level as a tool for applying at human error enforcing waters. International cooperative research for upgrading risk assessment modes should also be future terms of reference.
