A Study on the Rural House Planning Directions - Focused on the Life style Analysis of the Rural Resident - (농촌거주유형분석을 통한 농촌주택 계획방향연구)

  • In aspect of stable housing support policy for the rural returning voluntary which is increasing rapidly, it is necessary to plan the suitable rural house. Therefore this paper aims to propose the suitable rural housing type and the directions of rural house planning. The 4-typical life style is summarized through the 531 cases-life style investigation of existing rural resident and the rural returning voluntary in the whole rural area. Based on the typical life style analysis, the suitable rural housing type and planning directions are proposed. I hope this paper will be a useful guide to make the suitable rural house have planning for our generation.

A Study on Improvement of Rural Housing Space by Analysing of Barrier the Space Organization - Focused on Housing in Taebaeksi - (농촌주택 공간구성에 따른 장애요소분석 및 개선대안에 관한 연구 - 강원도 태백시 주택을 중심으로 -)

  • Purpose: Generally, rural housing in Korea have had target of people who are in good physical health rather than the disabled. Therefore, it is difficult to offer high quality residential environment for the elderly and the disabled. The purpose of this study is to propose the ways to promote ease and safety in the rural housing. Methods: This study evaluates the accidents, improvement factors, satisfactions, complaints by space of 153 rural housing in Taebaeksi. Results: This study divides the a rural house into 7 sectors : a passage to entrance, an entrance hall, a livingroom, a bedroom, a bathroom, a kitchen, and utility room. this study propose the following plan that rural housing to be barrier free space. First, in passage to entrance of the house, people with disabilities should not experience difficulties in walking, so installing ramps to remove the stepped slope grade without slip so that the floor finish should be. Second, entrance hall need more space to change and keep wheelchair. Third, switches and handle should be installed various height and form depend on the behavior of residents. Forth, install a drain to make no changes in level of bathroom. Implications: This research could be the basic data to renovate the rural housing.

A Study on Characteristics of House Repairs for Weak Class in Rural (농촌 주거취약계층 주택 개보수 특성에 관한 연구)

  • Rural community in Korea being changed to aging community, declining population and income loss by the industrialization and the urbanization. The weak class in rural is confronted with more poorly environment. So it is needed to check the quality of the weak class's house in rural. Basically proposes of this paper is to find ways about rural housing improving and the vitality of rural community. This paper contents rural housing problems through the paper review and house repair characteristics for the weak class. Data for statics analysis were obtained from house repair support program for the weak class in Jeonnam province from 2011 to 2012. The results of this paper are as follow: First, house repair items ranking for the weak class in rural was insulation & heating, toilet, structure, indoor environment, electricity, outside and kitchen & waterproof. This result was reflected that weak class's energy bills is high ratio compared with income. Second, health facilities were improved for the socially disadvantaged's convenience in considering that most of weak class is a senior. Last, most of houses for weak class in rural are old clay wall and block wall. So these houses are reinforced the wall for structural safety.

  • This study was analyzed and researched into each gradual properties of housing owner's decision making, for preservation of traditional scenery and search for the way its succession, on the basis of search of the rural area housing owner and the virtual research data. As a result of this study, public company should care and advertise significance of traditional scenery succession to housing owners and architectural planning offices, because the model what public company has been developed and distributed should not be ignored influence on the process of housing owner's decision making.

The Relationship between Physical Environment and Mental Health of the Urban and Rural Adolescents (도·농지역 청소년의 물리적 환경과 정신건강과의 관계)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the relationship between the physical environment and mental health of the adolescents in urban and rural areas. This study was performed using the questionnaire survey method. The research subjects were high school students in Seoul and Jeollabuk-do rural areas. The questionnaire inquired about the housing, neighborhood, and school environments, and these contents were depended on previous studies. The survey was conducted from August 27 to September 6, 2013, and 446 data were collected. They were analyzed with the SPSS 12.0 program. The main results are as follows. 1) The urban adolescents evaluated physical environment to be better than rural adolescents. Specifically, the urban adolescents evaluated 'facility/accommodation', 'security/health', 'amenity' of the housing environment, 'disorder', 'comfortability', 'nature awareness' of the neighborhood environment, and 'noise', 'overcrowding', and 'security' of the school environment to be higher. 2) The urban adolescents' self-esteem was significantly higher than rural ones. 3) The physical environment factors, which had effects on adolescents' mental health, are different depending on the areas, and so adolescents' physical environment would be designed by the local environment conditions.

The purpose of this study is to present the remodeling of rural house for the disabled. this study divides the a rural house into 7 sectors : a passage to entrance, an entrance hall, a livingroom, a bedroom, a bathroom, a kitchen, and etc. this study propose the following renovation plan that rural housing to be barrier free space. First, in passage to entrance of the house, people with disabilities should not experience difficulties in walking, so installing ramps to remove the stepped slope grade without slip so that the floor finish should be. Second, install grab handle on the wall inside the housing so that the disabled can lean on the handle. Third, placing the furniture in the bedroom that wheelchair can be rotated, and make to lower the height of the switchs. Forth, install a non-slip floor tile to prevent accidents in the bathroom.

An Analysis on Floor Planning Characteristics of Rural Houses in Na-po Munwha Village - A Comparison with Literature Review of Apartment Unit Plan - (나포 문화마을 주택의 평면적 특성 분석 - 도시 아파트 평면 특성의 문헌고찰 비교 -)

  • This study was to find out contemporary planning characteristics of rural houses in Na-po Munhwa village by analyzing their floor plans. These results were then compared with apartment housing trends. 240 houses were built in that village, but it was only possible to collect housing data, floor plans and general building records from 102 houses, using house registers. By analyzing those data, the findings were as follows: 1) Floor plan shapes of rural houses showed a tendency to words a 'ㅋ' shape, a 3bay or a transformed 3 bay and a "room-living-room" space arrangement of a centered living room. Public spaces (L.D.K) were separately planned DK from livingroom. Living space was very open and the DK space had created visual privacy from the entrance. The Anbang (master bedroom) and living space were set to the front of the floor plan and an interior toilet was planned in them. These floor-planning tendencies were similar to trend apartment houses in urban areas. 2) Utility and Balcony spaces as a support space of kitchen were not popular features of rural houses in the Munhwa village. These results were different from urban apartment housing trends. 5) Storage space practically absent in those rural houses, and this was similar to urban the trends in urban apartment houses.

A Study on the Use of the Standard Plans and Housing Satisfaction Level of the Recently Constructed Rural Houses (신축 농촌주택의 표준설계도 이용과 주거만족도 -충북 옥천군 군북면과 충남 예산군 고덕면을 중심으로-)

  • The purpose of this study was to provide basic information on the rural house planning through the research on the use of the standard plans, architectural characteristics, importance of the planning points and housing satisfaction of the residents. 25 rural households scattered around Chungchong provinces-south and north- were surveyed for this study through the questionnaire method. The results of this study were as follows. The importance considered first was the low construction costs, and therefore the standard plans were not fully acknowledged and commonly used. Most real plans are the single-floor houses with 3 rooms, having 25-30 pyong magnitude. The planning points stressed highly were the storage space, convenience of the plan and size of the living room. Housing satisfaction level was high on direction of the facade, size of the living room and position of the bath/washing room, but low for the storage space.
