로컬푸드 직매장의 접근성 및 편의성 (A Study on Access and Convenience to Local Food Farmers Market)

  • This paper presents improvement of consumer's access and convenience to Farmers Market(Local Food Shop). We analyzed case studies and proposed plans of Local Food Shop and related facilities. The results are described below. Thorough pre-education and public relations with extensive support for agricultural products in the area and external support are necessary. Most importantly, the consuming population was close. These factors were the factors of success. Tourists' visit is effective. Consumer distance should be within 10km. Long distance tourists need a way to attract tourists on weekends. It is an advantage that there are many consumers. And it would be nice to have a market in the vicinity. And it is necessary to develop various activities such as experience activities and programs. Also, a place convenient for cooperation with the government office, public health center, etc. is good. Accessibility is enhanced when ICs of frequent highway and highway are close to cars. As a suggestion of placing a direct sales place, we will set up a place for consumers to collaborate and relax and also consider the convenience of providers. For the convenience of consumers' shopping, including sales outlets, we set up booths for daily necessities and industrial products, and place other agricultural cooperatives (NACF banks), local cafes and farmer restaurants in front. Consider multifunction combined service center for consumers and farmers.

국내 2+1차로 도로의 적정 교통량 및 계획기준 개발 (Estimation of Design Service Traffic Volume for 2+1 Roads Based on Korean Two-Lane Highway Conditions)

  • 현재 지방부 도로의 50% 이상을 차지하고 있는 양방향 2차로 도로는 4차로 도로로 확장하기에는 장래 교통량이 부족하지만 양방향 2차로 도로로 계속 운영하기에는 교통량이 많은 문제점이 발생되고 있는 경우가 많다. 또한 양방향 2차로도로의 추월행태에 따른 교통사고 위험과 사고 심각도가 높은 문제 해결을 위하여 2+1차로 도로의 도입을 검토하게 되었는데, 유럽의 여러 국가에서는 양방향 2차로 도로를 2+1차로 도로로 신설 또는 확장함으로써 예산 투자 효율화와 안전성 향상의 효과를 거둔 사례가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 영국, 독일, 스웨덴, 아일랜드, 핀란드 등에서 운영하고 있는 2+1차로 도로 사례를 검토하고 이를 국내 양방향 2차로 도로 개선방안의 하나로 도입하기 위한 가능성을 모색하기 위하여 수행되었다. 본 연구를 통해 국내 도로에 2+1차로 도로를 도입하는 경우 적정 교통량 수준을 산출하고, 이를 이용하여 2+1차로 도로의 계획기준을 개발하였다. 2+1차로 도로가 감당할 수 있는 교통량 수준을 시뮬레이션 프로그램 VISSIM(5.0)을 이용하여 분석하였고, 이를 국내 양방향 2차로 도로의 도로환경 조건을 고려하여 보정한 결과 중차량 비율에 따라 7,300대/일에서 17,000대/일 정도로 분석되었다. 이는 독일 등 유럽의 2+1차로 도로에서 관측된 최대교통량에 비해 약간 작은 값이고, 아일랜드의 관측 최대교통량(17,250대/일)과 유사한 값이다.

Investigation of blast-induced ground vibration effects on rural buildings

  • In this paper, blast-induced vibration effects on buildings located in rural areas were investigated. Damages to reinforced concrete, adobe and masonry buildings were evaluated in Çatakk$\ddot{o}pr\ddot{u}$ and Susuz villages in Silvan district of Diyarbakir, Turkey. Blasting of stiff rocks to construct highway at vicinity of the villages damaged the buildings seriously. The most important reason of the damages is lack of engineering services and improper constructed buildings according to the current building design codes. Also, it is determined that, inappropriate blast method and soft soil class increased the damages to the buildings. The study focuses on four points: Blast effect on buildings, soil conditions in villages, building damages and evaluation of damage reasons according to the current Turkish Earthquake Code (TEC).

지방부 도로구간의 사고수정계수 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study for Accident Modification Factors for Rural Road Segments)

  • PURPOSES : Although numerous researches have been studied to reveal accident causations for road intersections, there are still many research gaps for road segments. It is mainly because of difficulty of data and lack of analytical method. This study aims to study accident causations for rural road segments and develop accident modification factors for safety evaluation. The accident modification factors can be used to improve road safety. METHODS : Methods for developing AMF are diverse. This study developed AMFs using accident prediction models and selected explanatory variables from the accident models. In order to select final AMFs, three different methods were applied in the study. RESULTS : As a result of the study, many AMFs such as horizontal curves or vertical curves were developed and explained the meanings of the results. CONCLUSIONS : This study introduced meaningful methods for developing significant AMFs and also showed several AMFs. It is expected that traffic or road engineers will be able to use the AMFs to improve road segment safety.

농촌주택개량사업에서 파생되는 문제와 그 대책 (A Study on some Problems derived form Improvement Work of Rural Houses and their Solutions)

  • Since 1971 when the nation wide 'New Community' movement was launched to improve rural standards of living, dol and thatched-roof houses have been reshaped or removed, thereby making it hard to find time-honored people's living structures in the countryside. Since 1977, the improvement work of rural houses has started throughout the country, so many new rural residences have been constructing along the highway, main roads, railways and around the sightseeing area, New rural houses do not show, for the most part, the traditional architectural style and the nation's unique conventional ways of living. The writer tried to find solutions to the problems derived from improvement work of rural residence, in a comparative method of traditional rural houses and newly constructed rural ones. The greater part of new rural houses' types, painting colors, and fence types had been recommended by provincial administrative trative officials. Officials recommended them to the farmer with their standards, which did not consider farmer's convenience of traditional way of life, but a fine sight from the highways or railways. Korea's three basic roof types are the HAPKAK roof (gabled and hipped), the UCHINKAK roof(hipped), and the BAKKOONG roof(gabled). However, the gabled roof houses, having their entrance on the gabled side, are found more ofter in new rural village. As mentioned above, architectural style is not harmonious with the topography and climate i Korea, because it is not Korean traditional type, but one of the western styles. And new rural house plans are inconvenient in the conservation rural family system, because of the same category with urban houses plans. Other problems derived from ton-traditional architecture style are roof painting in 4-5 colors in a new village, types of wall and fence, and attached building in the site.

사용자비용최적화를 통한 도로 설계서비스수준 산정방안 (The Method of Deciding Design Level of Service with Optimal User Cost)

  • 서비스수준(Level of Service)은 사용자측면에서 도로의 서비스를 평가하는 정성적 평가지표로 운전자의 적정 이동성을 결정하는 지표가 된다. 그러나 현재 서비스수준 기준은 경험적이며 정성적인 식이어서, 합리적인 도로설계와 운영을 위해서는 사용자에게 영향을 미치는 인자들을 보다 종합적이고 정량적으로 평가하는 것이 바람직하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 사용자 비용(User Cost)의 직접효과측면에서, 현재 고속도로 기본구간의 서비스 수준의 효과척도(MOE)로 제시되고 있는 교통량대 용량비(v/c비)의 변화에 따른 사용자비용함수를 개발하였다. 분석대상지로 지방부 고속도로인 신갈-안산간 고속도로와 중부고속도로 기본구간(2km) 4곳을 대상으로 하였다. 해당지역의 사고자료, 교통량자료, 기하구조자료를 수집, 정리하고 교통량대 용량비와 관련비용과의 직접적인 함수관계를 도출함으로써, 사용자 비용을 최소화하는 교통량대 용량비 지점을 산정하였다. 대상구간의 사고비용함수, 운행비용함수, 통행시간비용함수를 분석한 결과, 사용자는 교통량대 용량비가 0.54인 지점에서 가장 적은 비용을 부담하게 되는 것으로 분석되었다. 이는 현행 KHCM이 제시하고 있는 지방부 고속도로 기본 구간의 교통량대 용량비인 0.70(서비스 수준C)과는 차이가 있는 것으로 나타나, 현재 기준에 따른 도로공급은 사용자비용을 증가시키고 있는 것으로 분석되었다.

석고를 활용한 제방 축조시 석고의 다짐 특성 (A Characteristic of Compaction for construction of dike using Gypsum)

  • As a large construction such as highway, dam, reclaimed land etc. increase in number more and more, large amount of fill materials are required. However, it's difficult to obtain it because of environmental problems and economical efficiency. A alternative plan is to utilize a gypsum which is a by-product yielded from chemical plants and verify suitability to use gypsum as fill materials. Therefore, a characteristic of compaction for gypsum is analyzed and construction methods are given regard to this characteristic from construction of dike using gypsum. Based on the results obtained, it is found that moisture of gypsum in compaction should to be more dry side of O.M.C(optimal moisture content) because of sponge phenomenon. When gypsum is used to fill materials, standards of compaction should be decided from laboratory test.

지방부 신호교차로 주·야간 교통사고 예측모형 개발 및 비교 분석 (Development of Traffic Accident Models at Rural Signalized Intersections by Day and Night)

  • PURPOSES : The purposes of this study are to compare the day and night characteristics and to develop the models of traffic accidents. in Rural Signalized Intersections METHODS : To develop day and night traffic accident models using the Negative Binomial Model, which was constructed for 156 signalized intersections of rural areas, through field investigations and casualty data from the National Police Agency. RESULTS : Among a total of 17 variances, the daytime traffic accident estimate models identified a total of 9 influence factors of traffic accidents. In the case of nighttime traffic accident models, 11 influence factors of traffic accidents were identified. CONCLUSIONS : By comparing the two models, it was determined that the number of main roads was an independent factor for daytime accidents. For nighttime accidents, several factors were independently involved, including the number of entrances to sub-roads, whether left turn lanes existed in major roads, the distances of pedestrian crossings to main roads and sub-roads, lighting facilities, and others. It was apparent that if the same situation arises, the probability of an accident occurring at night is higher than during the day because the speed of travel through intersections in rural areas is somewhat higher at night than during the day.

  • Provision of Passing Sight Distance (PSD) is an important component in two-lane highway design and has a critical impact on capacity of highway and safety of drivers. Many models have been developed to estimate PSD reasonably. However, each of them has a number of shortcomings for reflecting the real traffic conditions. This paper introduces a revised model that reflects the characteristics of the passing maneuver. The changes in passing sight distances under different assumptions about acceleration and vehicle length, which are related to vehicle types, are presented. The results obtained by the revised model are compared with those obtained from the existing models. There is an important link between geometric design decisions which determine the available sight distance and the quality of service which the road provides. In this paper, we examine one aspect of this relationship. That is to determine whether the passing sight distance is provided by improving horizontal alignment for a specific roadway section or passing may be restricted to save the road construction cost. To do so, a simple method for estimating traffic delay in no-passing is introduced.

도시 및 지방 회전교차로 사고 발생 모형 (Urban and Rural Roundabout Accident Occurrence Models)

  • PURPOSES: The operational characteristics of roundabouts are generally influenced by location as well as traffic volume. The goal of this study is to develop urban and rural roundabout accident models and to discuss safety improvement guidelines based on the model. METHODS : To analyze accidents, count data models are utilized in this study. This study used accident data from 2010 to 2013 for 56 roundabouts collected from the Traffic Accident Analysis System (TASS) of Road Traffic Authority. Poisson and negative binomial regression models were developed for this study using NLOGIT 4.0. RESULTS : The main results are as follows. First, the hypotheses that there are distributional differences in the number of accidents and injuries/fatalities among rural and urban roundabouts were accepted. Second, Poisson and negative binomial regression accident models, which were all statistically significant, were developed. Seven independent variables, which were statistically significant, were adopted. Third, the common variable of models was evaluated to be traffic volume. CONCLUSIONS : This study developed two negative binomial roundabout accident models and suggested some accident reduction strategies. The results are expected to give some implications to the safety improvement of roundabout.
