화물수송용 철도차량의 주행안정성 향상에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study on the Improvement of Running Stability for Freight Car)

  • This experimental study is the improvement of running stability for freight car. KNR (Korean National Railroad)'s conventional wagons, light bodies running on Barber style bogies with 5-1/$2{\times}10$ journals, would be considered fundamentally to be a most difficult car to control above 100km/h. From the results of experiment, to permit high speed operation safely, was realized with the resilient side bearing. Also, equipped with resilient side bearing, and elastowedge friction elements to eliminate bolster wedge pocket wear, KNR's wagons can be secure the running stability with lower maintenance requirements than current experience.

주행 시험대에서의 고속전철 개발대차의 주행안정성 평가 (Running Stability Test of Developed Bogie for High Speed Train on the Roller Rig)

  • This research aims to test the running stability of the developed bogie with maximum operating speed of 350km/h, which of Korea TGV was 300km/h. The running stability test has been executed in status of a dummy car with one developed bogie and one dummy bogie on the roller rig to embody similar operation condition. The test has been done in the two rail conditions, i.e. excitation and non-excitation, respectively. Running speed has been increased by the roller step by step. In consequence, the developed bogie was proven to be able to run upto 400 Km/h without any unstable point in the non-excitation. Vibration characteristics of carbody also was within the value specified on the UIC 515.

달리기 속도 증가에 따른 성별 CoP (Center of Pressure)의 복잡성 패턴 (Complexity Pattern of Center of Pressure between Genders via Increasing Running Speed)

  • Objective: The goal of this study was to determine the center of pressure (CoP) complexity pattern in approximate entropy technique between genders at different conditions of running speed. Background: It is conducted to evaluate the complexity pattern of CoP in the increment of running speed to have insights to injury prediction, stability, and auxiliary aids for the foot. Method: Twenty men (age=22.3±1.5 yrs.; height=176.4±5.4 cm; body weight=73.9±8.2 kg) and Twenty women (age=20.8±1.2 yrs.; height=162.8±5.2 cm; body weight=55.0±6.3 kg) with heel strike pattern were recruited for the study. While they were running at 2.22, 3.33, 4.44 m/s speed on a treadmill (instrumented dual belt treadmills, USA) with a force plate, CoP data were collected for the 10 strides. The complexity pattern of the CoP was analyzed using the ApEn technique. Results: The ApEn of the medial-lateral and antero-posterior CoP in the increment of running speed showed significantly difference within genders (p<.05), but there were not statistically significant between genders at all conditions of running speed. Conclusion: Based on the results of this study, CoP complexity pattern in the increment of running speed was limited to be characterized between genders as an indicator to judge the potential injury and stability. Application: In future studies, it is needed to investigate the cause of change for complexity of CoP at various running speed related to this study.

KTX 후미 차량의 주행 안정성 해석 (Running Stability Analysis on the Tail Car of KTX)

  • The running stability and safety of a railway vehicle depends on the design characteristics and the contact condition between wheel and rail. In this paper, numerical simulations using ANSYS and ADAMS were done on the basis of the experimental observations. The results show that 0.6 Hz of the tail car motion is due to the natural mode of car combination of the KTX. The effects of the conicity of wheel and the lateral stiffness of the secondary suspension on the running stability were analyzed numerically using ADAMS/RAIL. The results also show 0.6 Hz as like the experimental observations. And the adoption of the wheel of GV40(${\lambda}=0.025$) brought the sway motion at the tail cars, but XP55(${\lambda}=0.055$) did not when the secondary lateral stiffness of the KTX was greater than 0.3 MN/m.

한국형 소형궤도차량(PRT)의 내구성 및 주행안정성 평가 연구 (A Study on the Durability and Running Stability Evaluation of the Korean PRT)

  • The PRT(Personal Rapid Transit) system is highly interested to meet a need for demand-responsive transport service and increasing demands of traffic in Korea recently. And it is being spotlighted as an eco-friendly transportation system. For these reasons, researches on the PRT system are actively undergoing in Korea. In this study, we evaluated the static structural and fatigue strengths based on ASCE-APM standards and ERRI B 12/RP 17 by means of FE simulation. We also evaluate the running stability by multi-body dynamic analyses and the rollover safety by a theoretical static stability factor according to the road modeling scenarios for the PRT system. From the results of this study, we confirmed the durability and running stability of the Korean PRT under development.

  • The railway bridges on the new high-speed line are the first structures designed and constructed by our local engineers for high-speed running. In securing running stability and riding comfort in high-speed running, it is very important to verify the performance of structures and local specifications and design criteria by measuring and analyzing the dynamic behavior of main structural members. In this study, 4 different types(simple-span, 2, 3, 4-continuous spans) of PCS Box bridges on the test line(Yongwa$\~$Simok section) were selected, each representing a different type of superstructures, in order to verify the performance of the bridges by measuring dynamic responses during the test-run of KTX. Reviews of the running stability and the riding comfort were carried out with the results of the measurement and the analyses of vibration acceleration, endrotation, distortion and deflection at midspan.

고속주행을 위한 화차 한량의 사행동 해석 (Analysis on the Snake Motion of One Freight Car for High Speed Running)

  • The development of railway vehicles involves the proper selection of design parameters not only to achieve high speed but also to reduce the vibration of the train. In this study an analytical model of a freight car is developed to find the critical speed. The freight car can generate the snake motion of the lateral and yawing motion of the car body, the bogie, and the wheelset. Numerical analysis for the nonlinear equation motions with 17 degrees of freedom showed the running stability and critical speed due to the snake motion. Also, the vibration modes of the freight car was calculated using ADAMS/RAIL, which showed that the critical speed have the yawing modes of the car body and the bogie. Finally this paper shows that the snake motion of the vehicle can be controlled with the modifications of the design parameters.

달리기 시 체간의 골반-척추구조변형이 동적안정성에 미치는 연구 (Kinematic Analysis of Dynamic Stability Toward the Pelvis-spine Distortion during Running)

  • The purposes of this study were to assess dynamic stability toward pelvis-spine column distortion during running and to compare the typical three-dimensional angular kinematics of the trunk motion; cervical, thoracic, lumbar segment spine and the pelvis from the multi-segmental spine model between exercise group and non-exercise group. Subjects were recruited as exercise healthy women on regular basis (group A, n=10) and non-exercise idiopathic scoliosis women (group B, n=10). Data was collected by using a vicon motion capture system (MX-T40, UK). The pelvis, spine segments column and lower limbs analysiaed through the 3D kinematic angular ROM pattern. There were significant differences in the time-space variables, the rotation motion of knee joint in lower limbs and the pelvis variables; obliquity in side bending, inter/outer rotation in twisting during running leg movement. There were significant differences in the spinal column that is lower-lumbar, upper-lumbar, upper-thoracic, mid-upper thoracic, mid-lower thoracic, lower thoracic and cervical spine at inclination, lateral bending and twist rotation between group A and group B (<.05, <.01 and <.001). As a results, group B had more restrictive motion than group A in the spinal column and leg movement behaved like a 'shock absorber". And the number of asymmetry index (AI) showed that group B was much lager unbalance than group A. In conclusion, non-exercise group was known to much more influence the dynamic stability of equilibrium for bilateral balance. These finding suggested that dynamic stability aimed at increasing balance of the trunk ROM must involve methods and strategies intended to reduce left/right asymmetry and the exercise injury.

동역학분석 프로그램을 이용한 반궤도식 임내작업차의 주행안정성 분석 (Running stability analysis of the Semi-Crawler Type Mini-Forwarder by Using a Dynamic Analysis Program)

  • 반궤도식 임내작업차의 주행안정성 분석을 위하여 동역학분석 프로그램인 RecurDyn을 이용하여 횡전도 분석, 등판능력 분석, 장애물 통과 시뮬레이션을 수행하였다. 동역학분석 프로그램을 해석하는데 필요한 반궤도식 임내 작업차의 형상은 3D CAD모델러인 AutoCAD 3D를 이용하여 모델링하였다. 반궤도식 임내작업차의 공차 및 적재 시에서 횡단기울기 $20^{\circ}$ 이하의 지형에서 주행하는 것이 안전하다는 것을 알 수 있었으며, 종단기울기 시뮬레이션에서는 공차 및 적재 시에 종단경사 $28^{\circ}$ 미만의 지역에서 주행하는 것이 안정적인 것으로 판단되었다. 장애물 통과 시의 주행안정성은 공차 및 적재의 경우, 전륜타이어가 주행속도 각각 5 km/hr 및 4 km/hr 이상일 때 지면과 분리되는 것으로 예측되었으며, 후륜궤도는 지면과의 분리현상이 나타나지 않았으므로 장애물 통과 시에는 최대 5 km/hr 이하가 안전하다는 것을 알 수 있었다.
