  • Now a days, the induction motor is widely used in industry automation. Without monitoring the motor fault, maintenance cost is increased undesirably high. The slip frequency is included in the feature frequency, so rotating rotor speed is needed. In this paper, a sensorless motor speed estimation method, rotor slot harmonic(RSH) method is suggested and a solution of rotor bar diagnosis is proposed for motor running with light-load. When the rotor is rotating, it shows the harmonic signal of back-emf voltage related with number of rotor slot. So from the power spectrum of current signal, we can find the rotor speed.

  • The low frequency noise, including infra-sound is known to affect human physiology and psychology. Guidelines and measurement method of low frequency noise has been introduced in several countries in order to evaluate low frequency noise. In this work, low frequency characteristics of Daejeon subway was investigated in terms of the noise level and spectrum in the interior of running subway car and the subway station. The interior sound pressure level of the passenger car was between 60 and 102 dB in the frequency range of $1{\sim}250$ Hz.

  • The dynamic instability of snapping phenomena has been studied by many researchers. Few papers deal with dynamic buckling under loads with periodic characteristics, and the behavior under periodic excitations is expected to be different from behavior under STEP excitations. We investigate the fundamental mechanisms of the dynamic instability when the sinusoidally shaped arch structures are subjected to sinusoidally distributed excitations with pin-ends. The mechanisms of dynamic indirect snapping of shallow arches are especially investigated under not only STEP function excitations but also under sinusoidal harmonic excitations, applied in the up-and-down direction. The dynamic nonlinear responses are obtained by the numerical integration of the geometrically nonlinear equation of motion, and examined by Fourier spectral analysis in order to get the frequency-dependent characteristics of the dynamic instability for various load levels.

배전선반송 데이타통신에서의 주기적 임펄스노이즈의 발생특성 (The Originating Characteristics of Periodic Impulse Noises in the Data Communication System by Distribution Line Carrier Method)

  • The existence of peroodic impulse noises in distribution line carrier (DLC) communication system is known to be the most serious obstacle for improving DLC communication quality in reliability and capacity. From the spectral points, impulse noises can be divided into baseband type and modulation type the noise width of whichs are much different each other. With each nose type, this study presents the basic characteristics in relation to what they originate from and how their spectrum properties are revealed. The baseband type impulse noise is normally caused from thyristor circuit running with low switching speed and the modulation type noise from the circuit of switching power supply. The base wave of modulation noise is shown to be the pulsuatic charging current to primary condenser in switching power circuit. The study result indicates also that placing the DLC carrier frequency away the band predominated by modulated noise especially from RCC type switching power circuit is very important in DLC design.

  • Although the identification of a moving noise source is important in reducing the source power of the transport systems such as airplane or high speed train, the direct measurement of the frequency characteristics is usually difficult due to wind noise when using a microphone running with that noise source. On the other hand the motion of a source causes the frequency characteristics of the pass-by sound measured at a fixed point to be distorted that it is quite difficult to identify the original source characteristics. In this study the relationship between the spectra of the source and the pass-by sound signal is analyzed for a source moving at a constant velocity. The effects of the speed and the frequency characteristics of the source on the pass-by noise spectrum are investigated through numerical simulations.

국내 자폐스펙트럼장애 아동의 병원 기반 조기 집중 중재 실태 조사 (A Survey on the Status of Hospital-Based Early Intensive Intervention for Autism Spectrum Disorder in South Korea)

  • Objectives: Early intensive interventions are very important for children with autism spectrum disorder. We examined the actual conditions of hospital-based early intensive interventions for autism spectrum disorder in Seoul, in order to help develop and implement an evidence-based early intensive intervention model for use in Korea. Methods: Nine hospital-based institutes running an early intensive intervention program for children with autism spectrum disorder responded to a questionnaire in September 2014. They provided a brief introduction to their program, explained its theoretical bases, and reported the number of children, their age, intervention time, duration and so on. Results: In the majority of the institutions, the intervention was provided for over 20 hours every week, and the theoretical bases included various applied behavioral analysis (ABA) methods and other therapies (language and occupational therapy). The therapist-child ratio ranged from 1:1 to 5:3. Various types of therapists were involved, including behavioral analysts, special education teachers and (or) language pathologists. There was only one clinic where the behavioral analyst was the main therapist. Usually, the intervention was terminated just before the child entered elementary school. The main merit of the hospital-based intervention in our survey was the effectiveness of the multi-disciplinary intervention plan and its other merits were the accuracy of the diagnosis, its ability to be combined with medicine, and so on. Conclusion: The current hospital-based early intensive intervention programs provide interventions for over 20 hours per week and employ multidisciplinary approaches. However, there are very few institutes for children with autism and very few intervention specialists and specialist education courses in the country. We need more educational programs for intervention therapists and have to try to develop policies which encourage the implementation of an evidence-based early intensive intervention program nationwide.

Improved Resource Allocation Model for Reducing Interference among Secondary Users in TV White Space for Broadband Services

  • In recent years, the Television White Space (TVWS) has attracted the interest of many researchers due to its propagation characteristics obtainable between 470MHz and 790MHz spectrum bands. The plenty of unused channels in the TV spectrum allows the secondary users (SUs) to use the channels for broadband services especially in rural areas. However, when the number of SUs increases in the TVWS wireless network the aggregate interference also increases. Aggregate interferences are the combined harmful interferences that can include both co-channel and adjacent interferences. The aggregate interference on the side of Primary Users (PUs) has been extensively scrutinized. Therefore, resource allocation (power and spectrum) is crucial when designing the TVWS network to avoid interferences from Secondary Users (SUs) to PUs and among SUs themselves. This paper proposes a model to improve the resource allocation for reducing the aggregate interface among SUs for broadband services in rural areas. The proposed model uses joint power and spectrum hybrid Firefly algorithm (FA), Genetic algorithm (GA), and Particle Swarm Optimization algorithm (PSO) which is considered the Co-channel interference (CCI) and Adjacent Channel Interference (ACI). The algorithm is integrated with the admission control algorithm so that; there is a possibility to remove some of the SUs in the TVWS network whenever the SINR threshold for SUs and PU are not met. We considered the infeasible system whereby all SUs and PU may not be supported simultaneously. Therefore, we proposed a joint spectrum and power allocation with an admission control algorithm whose better complexity and performance than the ones which have been proposed in the existing algorithms in the literature. The performance of the proposed algorithm is compared using the metrics such as sum throughput, PU SINR, algorithm running time and SU SINR less than threshold and the results show that the PSOFAGA with ELGR admission control algorithm has best performance compared to GA, PSO, FA, and FAGAPSO algorithms.

  • 디지털 기술의 발달로 TV, PC, 스마트폰, 그리고 패드(Pad)류 컴퓨터 등의 기기들이 인터넷으로 상호 연결되는 추세에 맞추어 인터넷 서비스들이 특정 기기에 한정되지 않고 다양한 기기를 대상으로 구현되는 "N-스크린화" 양상을 보이고 있다. 디지털 TV는 거실 엔터테인먼트의 핵심 플랫폼이면서 다양한 사용자층이 이용하기 때문에 기존 인터넷 서비스 업체들이 자사의 서비스를 디지털 TV의 데이터 서비스로 구현하여 서비스 브랜드의 제고와 서비스 고객의 층을 확대를 꾀하고 있다. 그러나 대부분의 데이터 서비스들이 소비자의 흥미를 두고 방송 영상 콘텐츠와 경쟁하는 구도를 취하고 있어서 성공적인 효과를 거두지 못하고 있다. 본 논문은 방송 영상 콘텐츠의 시청이 시청자의 주된 TV 이용 행태라는 점을 고려한 디지털 TV의 데이터 서비스 설계 가이드라인을 제안하고 이 가이드라인이 적용된 "TV 이상형 월드컵"이란 데이터 서비스의 프로토타입을 소개한다. TV 이상형 월드컵은 방송 영상과 경쟁하는 구도를 벗어나기 위해 서비스 수행 시 방송 영상 시청이 가능하며 서비스가 유지되면서 채널 변경이 가능하고 수 분 안에 서비스의 목적이 달성 되는 서비스 동선을 갖추고 있다.

서울지하철의 저주파소음 특성 (Low Frequency Characteristic of Seoul Subway Noise)

  • 사람의 귀에 들리지 않는 초저주파음을 비롯하여 200 Hz 이하의 저주파소음은 순환기, 호흡기, 신경, 내분비 등 사람의 생리에 영향을 미치는 것으로 알려져 있다. 이에 몇몇 국가들은 나름대로 저주파소음의 측정법과 평가 기준안을 마련한 상태이다. 본 연구에서는 대중교통 수단인 서울지하철을 대상으로 객차 내와 승강장에서의 저주파소음레벨과 스펙트럼을 조사하였다. 측정결과 객차 내 소음레벨은 지하철 운행속도와 곡선구배 등에 따라 차이는 있었으나, 주파수 $1{\sim}200\;Hz$ 대역에서 $60{\sim}105\;dB$로 나타났다. 특히 8 Hz에서의 소음 피크 값은 객차의 길이에 대한 공명주파수에 해당됨을 알 수 있었다. 승강장에서의 소음은 객차 내 소음보다 상대적으로 소음레벨이 낮게 측정되었는데 이것은 차량 도착 혹은 출발 시의 속력이 운행 시의 속력보다 낮기 때문으로 판단된다. Ochiai의 소음에 의한 인체영향 연구를 고려할 때, 객차 내 소음은 주파수 $20{\sim}80\;Hz$ 구간에서 압박감을 줄 수 있기 때문에 주목할 필요가 있다.

Simulation of Run-out caused by Imperfection of Ball Bearing for High-speed Spindle Units

  • For the purpose to improve and to automate designing of high-speed spindle units (SU's), we have developed the mathematical models and software to estimate SU performance characteristics, including the run-out of spindles running on ball bearings. In order to understand better the mechanics of high-speed SUs, the dynamic interaction of ball bearings and SU, and the influence of the bearing imperfections and SU's operational conditions on the run-out, we have carried out computer simulation and experimental studies. Through the study of SU's, we have found out that run-out of SU can vary drastically with variation of rpm. The influences of rotation speed and of accuracy parameters of bearings on the SU accuracy have the greatest importance. The influence of bearing preload has a secondary importance. Comparison of the results of these studies has demonstrated adequacy of the models and software developed to the real SU's.
