철도차량의 곡선 구간별 주행안전성 평가 (A Running Safety Assessment for Curved Section for a Railway Vehicle)

  • The curved portion fur each section running safety evaluation interpretation according to the track condition for improving the curved portion passage rate of a vehicle by using the multibody analysis model of the Saemaeul train was carried out. As a result, The excess of cant reaches the bad effect to the running safety in case the radius of curvature is small. In case the radius of curvature was large, we could confirm that the deficiency of cant reached the bad effect to the running safety. In the curved portion, the circular curve section most badly showed the running safety. The deficiency of curve length reaches the bad to the running safety. In the curved portion, the circular curve section most badly showed the running safety. Therefore the track condition(cant, transition curve length, etc) can reach the bad effect to the running safety of a vehicle, the exact design is required.

  • This paper estimates the derailment factor of running train on the curved track. To estimate the derailment factor, wheel loads and lateral forces of train are measured on the track. The selected measuring points are the 400R and the 600R in the Honam line, the 300R and the 400R in the Janghang line, respectively. The derailment factors are evaluated from the wheel loads and lateral forces which are measured on the all axles of running trains.

  • It is very hard to analyze the train derailment safety quantitatively at the curved section because of the diversified affect parameters including the complex interaction between wheel and rail, the train conditions such as the shape of wheel, suspension system, the track conditions such as the radius of curve, cant, transition curve, and the operation conditions, etc. Two major factors related to the running safety of railway vehicle are classified as the railway vehicle and the track condition. In this study, when the railway vehicle passing through curves of actual track condition of subway line NO.3 in seoul ($Yeonsinnae{\leftrightarrow}Gupabal$), the effect that has influence on running safety depending on rail inclination. The analysis result of 1/40 rail inclination condition is more favorable on running safety than other rail inclination conditions because derailment coefficient and wheel unloading ratio are the lowest.

  • 경부고속철 PSC 박스 교량의 주행안정성 평가방법을 개발하기 위하여 동적 수치해석을 수행하였다. 교량과 차량의 상호작용력을 고려한 수치 모형을 적용하였다. 3차원 유한요소 뼈대요소를 적용한 교량과 38자유도로 상세하게 모형화된 차량은 공용 중인 KTX의 물성 사양을 적용하였다. 주행속도 500 km/h까지 10 km/h 일정 증가분으로 수치해석하여 차량의 각 방향의 회전각을 교량/일반 도상에서 해석하고 비교하였다. 비교된 회전각비는 기존의 주행안정성 설계기준에 보완될 수 있는 평가방법으로 판단된다.

  • Is the high speed train with 300km/h running speed safe from derailment when it meets the mid or small-size earthquakes? In the present step, it is not so easy to judge whether it'll be derailed or not during an earthquake. However, we could elevate the running safety of high speed train as making it slow or even stop. The main objective of this study is to make the domestic running regulation and the re-running manual for high speed train with reference to the standards of France, Japan etc. To do so, numerical analysis and experiment will be performed from the next year. In addition, we'll evaluate possible places of derailment during an earthquake and make a database based on the Geographic Information System to effectively manage them.

Analysis on running safety of train on bridge with wind barriers subjected to cross wind

  • An analysis framework for vehicle-bridge dynamic interaction system under turbulent wind is proposed based on the relevant theory of wind engineering and dynamics. Considering the fluctuating properties of wind field, the stochastic wind velocity time history is simulated by the Auto-Regressive method in terms of power spectral density function of wind field. The bridge is represented by three-dimensional finite element model and the vehicle by a multi-rigid-body system connected by springs and dashpots. The detailed calculation formulas of unsteady aerodynamic forces on bridge and vehicle are derived. In addition, the form selection of wind barriers, which are applied as the windbreak measures of newly-built railways in northwest China, is studied based on the suggested evaluation index, and the suitable values about height and porosity rate of wind barriers are studied. By taking a multi-span simply-supported box-girder bridge as a case study, the dynamic response of the bridge and the running safety indices of the train traveling on the bridge with and without wind barriers are calculated. The limit values of train speed with respect to different wind velocities are proposed according to the allowance values in the design code.

  • The characteristics of dynamic vibration are generally analyzed by an acceleration of a car body of high speed train and the acceleration can be applied to evaluation of running safety. The test of process and the analysis method about it are well explained on UIC Code 518 OR which is the spacial international standard about running safety and dynamic behavior on the line test for railway vehicle. Korean High Speed Train designed to operate at speed 350km/h has been tested on high speed line since it was developed in 2002 and it recorded the highest speed 352.4km/h at the 16th Dec. 2004 in Korea. This paper includes the analysis of running behavior of this train at speed 350km/h and the analysis of dynamic safety is presented in it, extending to the range of high speed while the UIC 518 limit the speed below 200km/h.

딥러닝 기반 고속철도교량의 주행안전성 및 승차감 예측 (Running Safety and Ride Comfort Prediction for a Highspeed Railway Bridge Using Deep Learning)

  • 고속철도 교량은 열차 하중에 의한 공진으로 인한 동적응답 증폭의 위험이 존재하므로 설계기준에 따른 동적해석을 통한 주행안전성 및 승차감 검토를 반드시 수행하여야 한다. 그러나 주행안전성 및 승차감 산정 절차는 열차의 종류별로 임계속도를 포함하여 설계속도의 110km/h까지 10km/h 간격으로 동적해석을 일일이 수행해야 하므로 많은 시간과 경비가 소요된다. 이 연구에서는 딥러닝 알고리즘을 활용하여 별도의 동적해석 없이 주행안전성 및 승차감을 사전에 예측할 수 있는 딥러닝 기반 예측 시스템 개발하였다. 제안된 시스템은 철도교량의 열차별, 속도별 동적해석 결과를 학습한 후 학습 완료된 신경망을 기반으로 한 예측 시스템이며, 열차속도, 교량 특성 등의 입력파라미터에 따른 주행안전성 및 승차감 산정 결과를 사전에 예측할 수 있다. 제안된 시스템의 성능을 확인하기 위하여 단경간 직선 단순보 교량을 대상으로 한 주행안전성 및 승차감 예측을 수행하였고, 주행안전성 및 승차감 산정을 위한 상판 연직변위 및 상판 연직가속도를 높은 정확도로 예측할 수 있음을 확인하였다.

  • Recent advances in computer technology have brought more dependence on software to train control systems. Hence, the safety assurance of the vital software running on the railway system is very critical task and yet, not many works have been done. While much efforts have been reported to improve the safety of electronic hardware, not so much systematic approaches to evaluate the safety of software, especially for the vital software running on board train controllers. In this paper, we propose the guide line of actually applicable software safety assessment in train control systems. And we demonstrate the results of developing a new tool based on web system version for software assessment management.
