Changes in a drug's availability from prescription only to over-the-counter (OTC) status is of concern to physicians from both public health and individual patient perspectives. Government has generally been supportive of changes in medications from prescription(Rx) to over-the-counter (OTC) status in Korea, however, recognizing that there are both benefits and risks to any health care intervention, health care professionals are conservative in implementing changes to either the process or structure of health care. Changes in status of a drug from Rx to OTC can represent a change in both structure and process. Cost and convenience seem to be major factors in determining whether, given the choice, patients purchase a medicine over the counter or obtain it on prescription. With current arrangements, exemption from prescription charges provides an incentive to continue to obtain products on NHS prescription even when they are available over the counter. There is therefore no simple relation between the availability of over the counter medicines and the level of prescribing of deregulated products. The appropriate use of over the counter medicines-particularly those that have only recently been deregulated-places a burden of care on community pharmacists and calls for closer working relationships with general practitioners. In particular, systems for referral and for recording details of both prescribed and over the counter medicines need to be developed, and a direct route needs to be established for community pharmacists to report adverse drug reactions to over the counter products. Reclassification of prescription medicines-by making them available through pharmacies without a prescription-provides the opportunity for consumers to purchase a wider range of medicinal products without making a demand on NHS resources. There is, however, no simple relation between availability of over the counter medicines and demand for NHS prescriptions. In the late 1980s the UK government fuelled the over the counter market by making it easier to reclassify certain medicines from prescription only status to allow over the counter sale in pharmacies. To explore the influence of deregulation of medicines on NHS prescribing, this article presents analyses of consumer behaviour in using medicines and prescribers' attitudes to over the counter medication and collates findings from research. Policy makers should be aware that patients' expectations in relation to OTC medicines may be in conflict with evidence-based practice.
When sensor networks are deployed in open environments, all the sensor nodes are vulnerable to physical threat. An attacker can physically capture a sensor node and obtain the security information including the keys used for data authentication. An attacker can easily inject false reports into the sensor network through the compromised node. False report can lead to not only false alarms but also the depletion of limited energy resource in battery powered sensor networks. To overcome this threat, Fan Ye et al. proposed that statistical on-route filtering scheme(SEF) can do verify the false report during the forwarding process. In this scheme, the choice of a security threshold value is important since it trades off detection power and energy, where security threshold value is the number of message authentication code for verification of false report. In this paper, we propose a fuzzy rule-based system for security threshold determination that can conserve energy, while it provides sufficient detection power in the SEF based sensor networks. The fuzzy logic determines a security threshold by considering the probability of a node having non-compromised keys, the number of compromised partitions, and the remaining energy of nodes. The fuzzy based threshold value can conserve energy, while it provides sufficient detection power.

Objectives : The purpose of this study was to investigate the characteristics and visiting patterns of traffic accident outpatients Methods : In this study, we reviewed the medical charts of 2,048 traffic accident patients who visited Jaseng Hospital of Korean Medicine from January 1st, 2012 to December 31st, 2012. Results : In the distribution of gender and of age patients, the male percentage was 52.3% and the majority of patients were in their thirties(47.2%). In the distribution of the patient's initial visit, most patients visited our clinic from Monday to Wednesday. By monthly distribution, the more patients visited the clinic at the latter half of the year. In the duration of treatment, 1,389 patients(67.8%) finished treatment within four weeks. The most frequently cited sites of pain were neck(82.0%), followed closely by low back(74.0%). In the access route, 746 patients(36.4%) visited our traffic accident clinic as a first choice for primary treatment. We referred patients for radiologic examination in 159 patients(7.9%), of which the exams were mainly lumbar spine MRIs(3.6%) and cervical spine MRIs(2.8%). The most frequent diagnosis were herniated nucleus pulposus. Conclusions : This study shows that most of the patients who visited the traffic accident clinic of a Korean Medical Hospital presented neck and low back pain, and the majority showed improvement without surgical treatment. Following the increasing minor injury rate caused by traffic accidents, we expect the role of Korean Medicine Hospital to become more prominent.
This paper addressed the issue of a generalized cost model for transit assignment. The model composed of walk time, waiting time (including transfer waiting time), line-haul time, transfer walk time, and fare. The weights of each component were supposed to be calculated using the stated preference (SP) data, which were collected prudently in order to reflect reality. The marginal rate of substitution and wage rate were applied to calculate the weights. The results showed that the weight of walking time per in-vehicle travel time (IVTT) was 1.507, the weight of waiting time (per IVTT) was 1.749, that of transfer time (per IVTT) was 1.474, and that of fare (per IVTT) was 1.476 for trips between inner-city areas in Seoul. Weights for each component were identified as 1.871, 1.967, 1.015, and 0.857, respectively, for trips between Seoul and Gyeonggi. Statistical significance existed between two cases and each variable was also statistically significant. Transit assignment using the relative weights estimated in this study was implemented to analyze the travel index in a macroscopic and quantitative basis. The results showed that average total travel times were 30.23 minutes and 63.29 minutes and average generalized costs were 2,510 won and 3,880 won for trips between inner-city areas in Seoul and between Seoul and Gyeonggi, respectively.
The K-shortest path algorithms are largely classified into two groups: oneis for finding loopless path (simple path), another loop paths. In terms of cimputational complexities, in general the loop-paths-finding ones are considered more efficient and easier to be handled than the loopless-paths-finding. The entire path deletion methods have been known as the best efficient algorithms among the proposed K-shortest path algorithms. These algorithms exploit the K-th network transformation to prevent the same path, which was already selected as the (K-1)th path, from being redetected. Nevertheless, these algorithms have a critical limitationto be applied in the practical traffic networks because the loops, in which the same modes and links can be unlimitedly repeated, are not preventable. This research develops a way to be able to selectively control loop-paths by applying link-label. This research takes an advantage of the link-based shortest path algorithms that since the algorithms can take care of two links simultaneouslyin the searching process, the generation of loops can be controlled in the concatenation process of the searched link and the preceded link. In concatenation of two links, since the precede link can be treated a sub-shortest to this link from the origination, whether both the node and the link of the searched link were already existed or not can be evaluated. Terefore, both the node-loopless path, in which the same node is not appeared, and the link-loopless, in which the same link is not appeared, can be separately controlled. Especially, the concept of the link-loopless path is expended to take into consideration reasonable route choice behaviors such as U-Turn, P-Turn, and Turn-Penalty, which are frequently witnessed in urban traffic network with intersections. The applicability of the proposed method is verified through case studies.
To build traffic information providing services by ITS technology should be carried out effect analysis in the first step for social and individual advantages. The propose on this study is to make clear what influences of highway network by traffic information are, and what differences between drivers who use traffic information and drivers who do not use that for route choice are. For these propose. travel time and forecast error of travel time on network and traffic information dependence of driver are analyzed by simulation. As a result of analysis travel time and forecast error of travel time is that the efficiency and reliability of travel time were increased when getting more drivers using traffic information in network. Drivers who using traffic information had advantage of decrease of travel time and forecast error in only definite situation. traffic information dependence analysis presented that drivers are dependent upon information and reliability of traffic information is also increased when drivers using traffic information become on increasing in network. In conclusion, considering the range of the traffic information user ratio in this simulation, this study presents that the traffic information service provides an advantage to the highway network and the drivers, and increases the dependence of information.
Most of Korea's 15 local airports, with the exception Jeju, Gimpo and Gimhae airports, have been several billion Won in the red each year. It has been reported that one of the causes of the poor financial performance is inaccurate air traffic demand predictions. Under the situation, the entry of low-cost carrier air service using turbo-prop airplanes into the domestic airlines market gets a wide range of support, which is expected to promote the convenience of consumers and help to activate local airports. In this study, the authors (1) suggest a high-speed transport demand model among existing airlines, Korea Train Express (KTX) and low-cost carrier air service; (2) try to make low-cost air carrier demand predictions for a route between Seoul and Daegu through a stated-preference survey; and (3), examine possible effectiveness of selected policy measures by establishing an estimation model. First, fare has a strong influence for mode choice between high-speed transport modes when considering the entry of low-cost carrier air service between Seoul and Daegu. Even low-cost carrier air service fare is set at 38,000 won, which is considerably low compared with that of KTX, in the regions where the total travel time is the same for both low-cost carrier air service and KTX, the probability of selecting low-cost carrier air service is 0.1, which shows little possibility of modal change between high speed transportation means. It is suggested that the fare of low-cost air service between Seoul and Daegu should be within the range of from of 38,000 to 44,000 Won; if it is higher, the demand is likely to be lower than expected.

The information on travel time in providing the information of traffic to drivers is one of the most important data to control a traffic congestion efficiently. Especially, this information is the major element of route choice of drivers, and based on the premise that it has the high degree of confidence in real situation. This study developed a vehicle arrival time prediction algorithm called as "VAT-DV" for 6 corridors in total 6.1Km of "Nam-san area trffic information system" in order to give an information of congestion to drivers using VMS, ARS, and WEB. The spatial scope of this study is 2.5km~3km sections of each corridor, but there are various situations of traffic flow in a short period because they have signalized intersections in a departure point and an arrival point of each corridor, so they have almost characteristics of interrupted and uninterrupted traffic flow. The algorithm uses the information on a demand volume and a queue length. The demand volume is estimated from density of each points based on the Greenburg model, and the queue length is from the density and speed of each point. In order to settle the variation of the unit time, the result of this algorithm is strategically regulated by importing the AVI(Automatic Vehicle Identification), one of the number plate matching methods. In this study, the AVI travel time information is composed by Hybrid Model in order to use it as the basic parameter to make one travel time in a day using ILD to classify the characteristics of the traffic flow along the queue length. According to the result of this study, in congestion situation, this algorithm has about more than 84% degree of accuracy. Specially, the result of providing the information of "Nam-san area traffic information system" shows that 72.6% of drivers are available.

The existing selected station analysis (SSA) method analyzes the link transfer mode data between origin and destination of individuals passing through stations from a microscopic standpoint. As such, existing SSA is insufficient as it uses integrated analysis using macroscopic data such as subway lines. This research builds a line chain OD based on path search of individual passenger's movement through the subway, and explores means to utilize the findings. First, a method is proposed that searches the traversed subway path from the linked passage modes that the passenger uses and applies the results to SSA line analysis. Compared to the existing SSA, this method provides for analysis of commonly conflicting features such as the line on which the station is passed, and the stations included on the line thanks to the presence of complete information of the individual passenger's traversed path. It also allows for integrated observation of the line chain OD that approaches a certain station. For enhanced understanding, Seoul Metro Line 9 is used as a case study to demonstrate the integrated formulation concept of line chain OD centered around a certain station as well as the macroscopic features of the traversed path that approaches stations included on the line.

The AI home care solution was designed to relieve the anxiety and labor of caregivers and to provide convenience for protection facility officials and users. If more facilities distribute and use services free of charge to non-profit foundations and protective facilities, the concern of guardians will be reduced, and the burden of facility officials who have to manage facility users will be reduced. In this paper, we provide emergency notification services to guardians in the event of an emergency as well as location and status alarms for guardians, which are all data related to movement, in consideration of the mobility vulnerable. Furthermore, it is necessary to provide a service function that recommends the optimal route using a navigation function to ease the convenience and burden of facility officials. It is necessary to alleviate anxiety by providing necessary information to the guardian, such as the location of the shuttle used by the mobile weak and the time of getting on and off. In addition, while providing services for free, the goal is to improve the quality of service for facility managers and the quality of service for the mobility weak.
