  • The probe with a 110mm diameter is originated and fabricated to measure hole accuracies of extremely deepholes. It consists of a measuring unit, an actuator unit, an active rotation stopper and a feed unit. The rolling of the probe is restricted and adjusted by the active rotation stopper. The probe is fed by the feed unit. In this measurement, accuracies are measured by using a rolling proof apparatus and machine table of deep hole boring machine instead of the stopper and the feed unit, respectively.   • Axis of rotation error on rotary system are significant; such as the spindle radial error motion of a aligner, wire bonder and inspector machine which results in the poor state of manufactured goods. In this paper, the simple stage which consists of one PZT actuator and rotary encoder, is analyzed and measured by high resolution capacitance type displacement sensor. As the result of experiment, the paper discusses several issues that must be considered when designing rotary stage driven by PZT.

종이컵 성형기용 배럴 캠 설계 프로그램 개발 (Development of Program for Designing Barrel Cam of Machine Making Paper Cups)

  • 종이컵 성형기는 배럴캠, 인덱스, 터렛, 모터 등의 많은 부품으로 이루어진다. 그 중에서 배럴캠은 기계의 주 구동부이다. 배럴캠이 회전하면서 인덱스에 고정되어 있는 롤러를 밀어준다. 그리고 인덱스와 연결된 터렛이 회전하면서 종이컵이 만들어진다. 따라서 종이컵 성형기의 성능은 배럴캠에 큰 영향을 받는다. 이번 연구에서는 배럴캠을 설계하는 프로그램이 MATLAB 을 이용하여 개발 되었다. 프로그램은 배럴캠의 프로파일을 만들어준다. 이 프로파일은 3 차원 CAD 프로그램을 이용 하여 3 차원 CAD 모델로 변환된다. 이 3 차원 CAD 모델과 배럴 캠의 3 차원 레이저 측정을 통해 생성된 모델을 포함하는 동역학 모델을 생성하였다. 그리고 동역학 모델을 검증하기 위해 기계의 인덱스의 회전각이 고속카메라를 이용하여 측정된다. 동역학 모델의 회전각을 비교하여 프로그램을 검증한다.

  • Typical seamless tube production methods are an extrusion and a rotary tube piercing. The rotary piercing process is more competitive than the extrusion process form view point of productivity, quality, and flexibility. It consists of twin rolling mills, a pair of disc or flat guides, and a plug. Twin rolling mills are skewed with proper angles in two directions. A round billet is progressively fed forward and rotated due to the rotation of twin rolling mills. Internal crack initiation and growth at central area of the billet are gradually progress because of the repeating actions of tension and rotation. Design variables in the rotary piercing rolling process are the feed angle, the cross angle, the reduction ratio, and the position of plug. In this work, a rotary tube piercing machine was developed and parametric studies on design variables were carried out using finite element analysis. The Brozzo ductile fracture criterion was utilized to determine an internal crack initiation.

본봉용 재봉기의 톱니 운동에 관한 연구 (A Study on Feed Dog Motion of a Lock Stitch Sewing Machine)

  • This study discusses the feed dog feeding mechanism of an industrial lock stitch sewing machine, which is a good example to study a machine kinematics. The feed dog feeding mechanism makes the fabrics directly be fed by an elliptic motion of the feed dog that is moved by a rotation of the top shaft and controlled by the feeding control mechanism. This study makes mathematical expressions of machine's motion in the feed dog feeding mechanism. Thus, the motions of this mechanism are characterized, namely how an elliptic motion of the feed dog is affected by the feeding control mechanism. Therefore, the above mathematical expressions may be a basis for the new design of the feed dog feeding mechanism and may be adapted to analysis. Development of the similar feed dog feeding mechanism can be applied to other type sewing machine.

  • High-speed and high-precision are trendy at present in the development of machine tools which are required for various fields of industry such as semiconductor, automobde, mold fabricat~on and so on. High damping capacity of the structure is an iniportant factor to ohtain precise products without vibration during manufacturing caused by rapid trarisportatm and rotation of spindle unit Resin concrete have high potential for machine tool bed due to its good damping characteristics. In this study, the statlc and dynamic characteristics of the machine tool bed were analysed. Also, the hybrid machine tool bed, made of steel base and polyester resin concrete material, was manufactured and its good dynamic characteristics were proved experimentally.

  • This paper describes development of low cost precision machine that has a vacuum chuck. This study mainly aims to find out a cutting condition for maintaining optimum surface condition and to examine cutting characteristics of the precision machine that is equipped by diamond bites. The cutting materials is oxygen free copper. Several experiments were carried out to find out the main factors that affect the surface roughness such as principal axis RPM(rotation per minute), feeding speed, and cutting depth. As a result, we obtain The optimum cutting condition of the developed precision machine.

  • Recently, micro forming process technology have been developed since the size of machine parts become the crucial factor for minimizing of products in general electronic products. Most small machine parts consist of gear and rotation axis and the wear by mechanical contact is known as the primary factor for life reduction of high precision machine part. Lots of studies for mechanical wear and friction have been reported and many researches of MEMS technology have been studied recently. But just few studies for wear of micro or milli sized machine part have teen implemented. In this research, the wear equation is suggested according to the contact shape of axial part in micro or milli sized machine part. And wear analysis model which can predict the magnitude of wear through this suggested equation with numerical analysis program.

  • A multi-channel mechanical test machine for HANARO was designed and fabricated based on the design criteria of the multi-channel mechanical test machine sustained at the working conditions of $<400{\square}$, 3 W/g of gamma heating rate, $5{\times}10^{20}\;n/cm^2$, neutron flux and maximum load of 200 MPa. The multi-channel mechanical test machine made of 304 stainless steel consisted of four modules. Two of them locate upper part of the machine and the others locate lower part with 90 degree rotation. Each module was evaluated by determine load-displacement curve of zirconium specimen. Thermal insulators were also made by electron spark-machining of pure aluminum which was prepared in a domestic company.

  • The balance of high speed spindle system with high precision rotation like grinding machine is very important. Traditionally, we use trial and error method to balance the spindle. It takes much time. So we are developing the automatic balancing equipment being used in the grinding machine. The balancing head we develop is wireless. It will be used high-speed grinding machine. We use influence coefficient method to control the automatic balancer. Experiments are based on automatic and manual balancing. We perform test of the vibration filter. It helps to remove noise. The filter and experiments with automatic balancing controller show that automatic balancing control can be successfully achieved with the quick response and good stability characteristics.
