A study on the criterion of RAMS plan for next generation high speed rolling stock (차세대 고속철도차량 RAMS 계획서 작성 기준 연구)

  • As RAMS becomes an international trend in the railroad industry, it is also generalized in the domestic railroad industry. This research is performed to present a criterion of the RAMS plan for the next generation high speed rolling stock. The criterion is developed based on IEC62278(EN50126), the international standard for railroad RAMS and CLC/TR 50126-2, 3, the guide to the application of IEC 62278. It is necessary for the export of the rolling stock. The criterion describes the RAMS targets and the contents to be included in the RAMS plan to meet the RAMS targets. Through developing the RAMS plan, we can identify RAMS activities and documents to be done in the total life cycle which includes design, manufacture and operation. It will help to accomplish synthetically the system targets of the next generation high speed rolling stock.

  • This paper analyzes the noise reduction of traction motor for rolling stock. Nowadays, rolling stock becomes a attractive transportation as a friendly environment transportation. And this paper showed that vibration noise of motor coil by inverter switching frequency. That noise has influence on passenger. It is important that noise reduction for passenger in the rolling stock. In this paper, it shows that effect of variable switching frequency of propulsion inverter for noise reduction.

  • 본 논문은 산업자원부 중기거점기술개발사업의 일환인 '전동차 추진장치 기술 개발 과제'로 개발된 전동차 구동 시스템에 대하여 서술하고 있다. 개발된 전동차 구동 시스템은 4대의 210kW 유도전동기를 병렬로 구동하며 주 전력 소자로 IGBT(Insulated Gate Bipolar Transisotr)를 사용하여 스너버 회로가 없는 간단하고 신뢰성 있는 시스템을 구현하였다. 제어 기법으로는 벡터 제어 기법을 적용하여 저속 기동 및 가속시의 토오크 제어 특성을 향상시켰다. 본 논문에서는 전체시스템의 구성 및 특성을 약술하고, 적용된 벡터제어에 대하여 논하였다. 그리고 본 과제를 위해 새로 제작된 전동차 1편성을 이용하여 한국철도차량주식회사 상주공장의 시험 전차선에서 주행 시험을 실시한 결과 개발된 전동차 구동 시스템의 성능이 목표 사양을 만족함을 확인하였다.

  • As the industrial society develops rapidly, the weight reduction and high strength are demanded gradually. In case of the welded joint for the rolling stock which receives the repeat load, the structural failure can occur easily. However, if the shot peening technique is applied, the durability and the fatigue characteristics of the rolling stock will be improved because the hardness increases and the residual stress is induced. In this study, the fatigue characteristics of shot peened welled joints for the rolling stock was investigated. The crack initiation was examined and hardness was also evaluated. the results show that the fatigue characteristics of welded joints was improved.

  • Air spring for railway rolling stock is a part of secondary suspension system, which is supporting load, damping vibration. Recently, air springs are actively applied to railway rolling stock to substitute the coil spring by upgrading the manufacturing skill. This study is started to develop draft for the testing methods of air spring for railway rolling stock. We have tested several items on testing methods to guarantee the performance of air spring. Thus, we have developed the test draft for air spring.

  • In many countries such as Japan, France and so on, the number of double-deck trains has been dramatically increased for the purpose of public traffic. Several researchers have performed feasiblilty studies related to the operations of double deck rolling stock vehicles in Korea since 2001. In recent years, rolling stock vehicles are required to have light weight to save energy consumption and maintenance costs. For these reasons, the standard EMU vehicle developed by KRRI and Kwan-Ju EMU(Electric Multi Unit) are made of aluminum extruded panels. The concept model of a double-deck rolling stock vehicle investigated in this study is also designed to use AEP(Aluminum Extruded Panel). In this paper, the methods related to the structural strength improvements of the car body are proposed through careful modifications of thicknesses and shapes of AEP.

  • A routing is the path that an actual trainset follows as it moves from one train to another train in a timetable. The number of routings is equivalent to the number of trainsets required to cover the timetable. The primary factors of rolling stock requirement plan include evaluating the minimum number of routings. This can be formulated as a set partitioning problem and solved using enumeration method or column generation method. In this paper we presents an enumeration algorithm which is useful to implement the enumeration method for the rolling stock requirement plan.

  • This Report explains a plan for the application and construction about BOM(Bill Of Material) in charge of primary part of the RIMS(Rolling-Stock Information Maintenance System) maximizing the RIMS's reliability. The BOM system of the Seoul Metro is accomplished the frequent changes of the structure and design through the OEM(Original Equipment Manufacturer) and the maintaining and repairing work and also The BOM system is constructed so that Seoul Metro can solve all problems of the composition change, Rolling-Stock construction, changeful history management. In addition the BOM system of the Seoul Metro is considered the applicative side of the technical data, information of the material, expediency and hindrance analysis.

  • Nowadays there are lots of changes in the domestic railroad industries because of the reorganization in the industries, operation of KTX and expansion of city train in local areas. To cope with these changes effectively, domestic & abroad safety guideline and regulation were investigated and reviewed by railroad safety technical development project. Based on this project, domestic rolling stock safety regulation was established in the July and December on 2005. It's been a 3 years after 2005 and to confirm whether there are some problems to applicate the regulation in the field like korail, the necessity of reviewing the regulation gains force. In this study, to improve the field application in rolling stock safety regulation, we investigated the results of integrated railroad audit system and internal safety regulation system in a train operator and also collected the opinions from train manufacturer. Then through the result of investigation and collection of the opinions, we proposed the amendment to the rolling stock safety regulation.

  • In this paper, we study structural changes and performance gains in condition-based maintenance process redesign when mobile IoT technology is embedded into urban railway rolling stock. We first develop condition-based maintenance To-Be process model in accordance with the IoT deployment scheme. Secondly, we draw upon theoretical framework of redesign process analysis to develop performance evaluation method suitable to predictive maintenance shift from As-Is ordinary maintenance practice. Subsequently, To-Be process performance evaluations are conducted adopting both the quantitative and qualitative method for time, cost, and dependability dimensions. The results ascertain the considerable benefits captured through detection abnormality prior to actual rolling stock failure occurrence, and details of performance improvements and enhancement of standardization level is revealed. The procedures and results presented in this paper offers useful insights in the fields of IoT economic analysis, condition based maintenance, and business process redesign.
