Due to the rapid increase in mobile-phone use, various kinds of malfunctions have occurred recently. Among them, the mobile-phone addiction causes serious social problems. In particular, since teenagers are immature, they are easily addicted to new technology. In order to prevent from the mobile-phone addiction, a lot of research has been performed in various ways. This paper focuses on the differences in gender and time perspectives of adolescent and analyze the relationships between time perspectives and self-efficacy for preventing mobile-phone addiction. In order to achieve our research goals, we firstly survey on 1,224 secondary school students to analyze the gender differences about time perspectives. And then, we secondly survey on 269 high school students to examine the mediation role of self-efficacy between time perspectives and mobile-phone addiction by a structural equation model. Based on the results of our analyses, we provide an educational guide that can prevent mobile-phone addiction from secondary school students.

The purpose of this study is to examine the mediating role of self-efficacy and community consciousness in the relationship between volunteer activity experience and career decision level of university students majoring in social welfare. For this purpose, this study set up a research model based on the social cognitive career theory based on Keumboltz's social learning theory and Bandura's social cognitive theory. 260 students majoring in social welfare at three four-year universities in Chungcheongbuk-do were assigned and surveyed from September to October 2019. The multiple regression analysis was conducted to verify the correlation analysis and the mediating effect using SPSS 26.0. The results of the analysis showed that the volunteer activity experience of college students majoring in social welfare had a significant effect on the career decision level, and self-efficacy and community consciousness had a partial mediating effect on these relationships. Based on the results of this analysis, the intervention and follow-up studies for improving career decision level of university students majoring in social welfare were discussed.

The purpose of this study was to examine how students' perception of their mathematics teachers' instructional practices is associated with students' attitude toward mathematics, taking into account their self-efficacy in mathematics. The sample contained 4669 Korean fourth graders who participated in Trends in International Mathematics Science Study 2015. We used exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis to explore the factor structure of three latent variables and conducted structural equation modeling to examine the hypothesized model. The results revealed that when students positively perceived their teachers' instructional practices, they tended to have a positive attitude toward mathematics. We also found that students' self-efficacy beliefs in mathematics positively mediated the relationship between perceived teachers' instructional practices and personal attitude toward mathematics. We discuss the practical and methodological implications of these findings and offer directions for future studies.

This study was conducted to describe the relationship of Communication Skill, Communication Self-Efficacy and Communication Related Educational Needs of nursing students. The participants were 206 nursing students in K City who were surveyed using self report questionnaires and the data was analyzed using SPSS 20.0. 83.5% of nursing students answered communication related education was necessary and they preferred practice centered communication education through role-play. And there was a significant positive correlation between Communication Skill and Communication Self-Efficacy. The results of this study provided a foundation to develop efficient communication program to improve interpersonal relationship of nursing students.

Purpose: For cardiovascular patients, family caregivers play a vital role in daily nursing and cardiac emergencies. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of patient-centered CPR education (PCE) for family caregivers of patients with cardiovascular diseases. Methods: Fifty-four participants were randomly assigned to the PCE or control group. The PCE group received tailored counseling on overall cardiovascular disease information and CPR followed by interactive instructor-guided CPR training and re-education follow-up by telephone 2 weeks later. The control group received only video-based CPR self-education and booklets. Cardiovascular disease and CPR knowledge and self-efficacy were measured before (pre-test), immediately after (post-test 1), and 4 weeks after the PCE (post-test 2). CPR skills and performance were measured pre-test and at post-test1. Results: The PCE group demonstrated significant improvements in knowledge (F=91.09, p<.001), self-efficacy (F=15.19, p<.001) and CPR skills and performance (F=8.10, p=.008), as well as significant differences over time (knowledge: F=364.25, p<.001; self-efficacy: F=1162.28, p<.001; CPR skills and performance: F=1798.81, p<.001). There were significant group-by-time interactions for knowledge (F=8.10, p=.001), self-efficacy (F=4.30, p =.019) and CPR skills and performance (F=4.81, p=.036) by repeated measures ANOVA. Conclusion: This is the first study to demonstrate the effects of a patient-centered intervention with CPR education tailored for patients' and family caregivers' preferences, needs, and lifestyles. The results of this study encourage the use of tailored, patient-centered interventions in cardiovascular nursing practice.

Recently, e-sports has been receiving social attention. Game leadership is a necessary skill to perform effective game tasks, and it is very important to e-sports game and improve teamwork. As a result, there is a need to identify psychosocial factor that promote game leadership. This study tried to examine how game motivation, game efficacy, and psychological factors(self-control, social intelligence, self-esteem) reported to have an important effect on leadership have relation with game leadership to MOBA genre users who were known to consider role of game leadership as important factor. We used data from 196 adolescents using MOBA games for surveys. As a result of analysis, internet game time, game efficacy, and social intelligence had a positive relationship with game leadership. And game motivation(social, exploration and escape) also had a positive effect on game leadership. But self-control, self-esteem and some game motivations(acquisition, achievement) was not significant.

The purpose of this study was to identify the groups of nursing college students according to their work preference, into 4 groups according to their internal and external motivation level and to identify differences in creative leadership and self-efficacy according to group differences. The main research results are as follows. First, four groups(All, INT, EXT, NOT) with different levels of motivation according to work preference showed a significant difference in creative leadership (p<.01). The group with the highest creative leadership was the group with both internal and external motivation high, while the lowest group was the group with both internal and external motives low. Second, the difference of self-efficacy according to work preference type showed significant difference according to the level of internal and external motivation(p<.05). This result shows that creativity has a bipolar structure as studied by Amabile and that external motivations can play a synergistic role in the expression of creativity.

As the voting age has been lowered to 18 from the 21st general election on April 15, 2020, the use of political news, motivation for political interest, and reliability of political media of first-time voters were examined. Accordingly, we analyzed how their political efficacy affects their voting intentions. As a result of the study through the survey of participants, the use of political news by voters was to acquire political information mainly through TV and portals. And the use of traditional media such as radio and newspaper was low. first voters became interested in politics through articles delivered by the media, and it was found that they trusted the political information provided through terrestrial TV reports and debates. This generation also confirmed that if they have higher political efficacy, they show higher willingness to participate in voting. Through this study, in order to increase the political participation of the younger generation who are evaluated as having relatively low interest in politics, the role of the media was reconfirmed as the most important factor.

Dental pathogens lead to chronic diseases like periodontitis, which causes loss of teeth. Here, we examined the plausible antibacterial efficacy of copper nanoparticles (CuNPs) synthesized using Cupressus macrocarpa extract (CME) against periodontitis-causing bacteria. The antimicrobial properties of CME-CuNPs were then assessed against oral microbes (M. luteus. B. subtilis, P. aerioginosa) that cause periodontal disease and were identified using morphological/ biochemical analysis, and 16S-rRNA techniques. The CME-CuNPs were characterized, and accordingly, the peak found at 577 nm using UV-Vis spectrometer showed the formation of stable CME-CuNPs. Also, the results revealed the formation of spherical and oblong monodispersed CME-CuNPs with sizes ranged from 11.3 to 22.4 nm. The FTIR analysis suggested that the CME contains reducing agents that consequently had a role in Cu reduction and CME-CuNP formation. Furthermore, the CME-CuNPs exhibited potent antimicrobial efficacy against different isolates which was superior to the reported values in literature. The antibacterial efficacy of CME-CuNPs on oral bacteria was compared to the synergistic solution of clindamycin with CME-CuNPs. The solution exhibited a superior capacity to prevent bacterial growth. Minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC), minimum bactericidal concentration (MBC), and fractional inhibitory concentration (FIC) of CME-CuNPs with clindamycin recorded against the selected periodontal disease-causing microorganisms were observed between the range of 2.6-3.6 ㎍/ml, 4-5 ㎍/ml and 0.312-0.5, respectively. Finally, the synergistic antimicrobial efficacy exhibited by CME-CuNPs with clindamycin against the tested strains could be useful for the future development of more effective treatments to control dental diseases.

The purpose of this study was to verify whether strengthening family competency plays a mediating role in the influence of parents' parenting efficacy on the independent life of children with developmental disabilities. The subjects of the study were 146 parents with developmental disabilities, and data analysis using the SPSS 22.0 program was conducted. The mediating effect was Baron and Kenny Hierarchical regression analysis and sobel-test were conducted. As a result of the study, the positive effect of parents' parenting efficacy on the level of self-reliance and strengthening family competency of children with developmental disabilities was verified. In addition, the positive mediating effect of strengthening family competency was verified between the parenting efficacy of parents and the level of independence of children with developmental disabilities. As a result of the study, it is important to support parents' parenting and family capacity enhancement to support the independence of children with developmental disabilities.
