전원주택단지 계획에 관한 연구 (The Site Planning of Idyllic Housing Development)

  • The development of idyllic housings, is in increasing growth in the suburban areas of Seoul, presents some critical problems such as in sufficient common open space and poor living condition, which are mainly caused by disorderly designed. Through comparing planning indices of idyllic housing, this paper aims to diagnose the condition and causes of those problems and to present some basic issues on improvement direction. The causes of problems can be summarized as the blind point in regulation system, the shortness of planning elements of a housing block which includes road systems and public facilities, and the mismatch of housing type with density, on which includes road systems and public facilities, and the mismatch of housing type with density, on which hereafter improvement suggestion should be focused. And this study suggest the simulation models on an ideal idyllic housing to be applied in our forthcoming idyllic housing of Korea, which can indeed become a generalized alternative to the livable idyllic housing.

도로터널 환기/제연 시스템 시뮬레이션 (A NUMERICAL STUDY OF THE VENTILATION AND FIRE SIMULATION IN A ROAD TUNNEL)

  • In the present study, flow characteristics inside a road tunnel are simulated for the ventilation flows due to jet fan system and flows induces by the traffic. Traffic ventilation is numerically simulated by multiple reference frame. From the results of steady state simulation of tunnel ventilation, it is found that the proper ventilation is achieved by the designed jet fan system along with ventilating flow induced by the traffic. A transient simulation is also performed for the case of vehicle fire in the tunnel reversing the direction of rotation of some fans. The results suggest that the heat and smoke can be controlled by the proper changing of fan operation mode. The present results can be used to design proper ventilation system and effective smoke control system as well.

바이모달 트램의 횡풍에 대한 동적특성 해석 (Dynamic Charncteristics for Laternl Strong Wind on Bimodal Tram)

  • A bi-modal tram can travel in not only dedicated way but also road so as to reduce construction costs and increase vehicle operation efficiency, whose passenger capacity is 2,500 to 7,000 persons/direction/hour. A bi-modal has an electronic guidance system that knows the location and route of the vehicle, and uses magnetic markers in the road surface for reference. Since a bi-modal tram will be operated in the downtown area, there is some possibility that strong wind occurred between high-rise buildings can produce sudden lateral movement (displacement) of the vehicle to influence its automatic operation controlled by electronic guidance system. For bi-modal tram in the automatic operation mode, lateral movements occurred by strong wind were calculated and analyzed in the dynamic model developed by using the ADAMS. Some useful relations among vehicle speeds, wind speeds, and lateral behaviors were discussed in this paper.

  • To investigate the aerodynamic characteristics of the on a road vehicle, experimenrs were performed at an Atmospheric Boundary Layer Wind Tunnel. The scaled model of an automobile with 1 : 3 scaling ratio was used. The Reynolds number based on the free stream velocity and model length was $7.93{\times}10^5$. The influence of crosswind to the stability of automobile was investigated by the pressure distribution measurements and flow visualization studies. with the variation of the angle of attack, the change in pressure coefficient depends highly on the flow separation regimes. The experimental and numerical results are compared and found to be in good agreements.

  • IPCC reported that 17% of the global GHGs emission is from transport sector. Road transport sector contributes to 70% of transport sector's GHGs emission. Nowadays, Climate change is a global issue and railway transport is marked as an environmental friendly transport mode. For decreasing the GHGs emission of road transport sector which occupies almost of transport sector's GHGs emission, railway transport is emphasized as a environment friendly alternative transport. In this paper, For the promotion of railway transport's role about climate change, I indicated the direction of South Korea's railway transport policy by analyzing some countries' modal shifts and railway transport's climate change policy.

  • The traffic policy of a city in Korea has brought to many traffic problems by putting emphasis on the only side of mobility in the past that the personal transportation was put first in importance more than the public transportation. As the result of this policy, in the process that the traffic policy of large cities in Korea changes into accessibility, it is shown for re-lighting up the development of the public transportation to be going to be able to get many suggestions in searching for the desirable developing direction of the new means of transportation that will arrive at Korea in the future. Especially, compared with the policy of U.S.A. on the traffic plan that has concentrated on the road and the vehicle, and that of Europe that has put first in the walking and the public transportation system, it is considered as an important thing that the lesson is given to us about what is important for the desirable city development. Transportation can be divided into four; a railroad transportation. a road transportation, a marine transportation, and an aerial transportation.

수소에너지 정부 정책 동향 및 R&D 역할

  • New and renewable energy has attracted a significant attention since the Paris Agreement in 2015. Especially hydrogen energy is important for reducing greenhouse gas produced during transportation. The new government suggested that the eco-friendly vehicles, hydrogen infrastructure and the development of new and renewable energy are the major growth engines in the future. Hydrogen energy is also concerned as the main part of our economy in the national affairs. In the policy of Mission Innovation Strategy and the third Eco-Friendly Vehicle Master Plan, government presents the status, future direction, technical road map and distribution road map of hydrogen energy. With this trend, investments in the research and development on hydrogen and fuel cells have expanded and will continue to expand for the implementation of the policy. The cost reduction, technical innovation and the increase in the localization rate are required for the new and renewable energy, including hydrogen energy, to become the future growth engine.

도시환경 매핑 시 SLAM 불확실성 최소화를 위한 강화 학습 기반 경로 계획법 (RL-based Path Planning for SLAM Uncertainty Minimization in Urban Mapping)

  • For the Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) problem, a different path results in different SLAM results. Usually, SLAM follows a trail of input data. Active SLAM, which determines where to sense for the next step, can suggest a better path for a better SLAM result during the data acquisition step. In this paper, we will use reinforcement learning to find where to perceive. By assigning entire target area coverage to a goal and uncertainty as a negative reward, the reinforcement learning network finds an optimal path to minimize trajectory uncertainty and maximize map coverage. However, most active SLAM researches are performed in indoor or aerial environments where robots can move in every direction. In the urban environment, vehicles only can move following road structure and traffic rules. Graph structure can efficiently express road environment, considering crossroads and streets as nodes and edges, respectively. In this paper, we propose a novel method to find optimal SLAM path using graph structure and reinforcement learning technique.

A Case Study on the Bibliotherapy Class -Focusing on Lee Chung-jun's novel Snowy Road -

  • This study is an example of a class of bibliotherapy through Lee Chung-joon's novel Snowy Road. Bibliotherapy proceeds through the process of identification, catharsis, output, insight, and application through reading. Through research, students objectively examine the situation of the character in the novel and compare it with their own situation. Students evaluate the situation of the character in the novel, experience the various life positions of the character in the novel by answering "What would you do if I were a character in the novel," and express their willingness to live differently from their lives. At the same time, I look into my relationship with my parents and seriously think about whether there is a problem and how to solve it if there is one. Through this process, students specifically suggest ways to think about and solve their emotions and problems. In the end, students' hurt feelings can be partially or sufficiently healed through reading. Through this study, it is expected that the method of bibliotherapy will be more concrete and develop in a positive direction.

경험적 베이즈 방법에 의한 공용중인 고속도로 교통안전진단사업의 효과평가 (Evaluation of Road Safety Audit on Existing Freeway by Empirical Bayes Method)

  • 도로교통 안전진단은 도로의 계획 및 설계단계에서부터 교통사고가 발생할 수 있는 요소를 찾아내 미리 개선하고 건설 후 운영단계에도 도로구조나 안전시설이 사고방지에 적정한지를 평가하는 예방적 차원의 안전성 강화 제도이다. 이 제도는 2000년대 초에 우리나라에 소개된 이래 다양한 사업이 진행되어 왔고 법제화되었으며, 사업의 지속화를 위해 현재까지 진행된 사업에 대한 평가가 필요한 시점이다. 이러한 필요성에 따라 본 연구에서는 공용중인 고속도로의 교통안전진단사업에 대한 효과 평가를 수행하였다. 연구의 공간적 범위는 영동고속도로이며 2005년과 2006년도에 시행된 안전진단사업에 대해 전후 2년을 평가기간으로 하여 분석하였다. 평가방법은 관찰적 사전 사후 평가방법 중 경험적 베이즈 방법을 적용하였다. 효과평가 결과 사업이 시행된 대부분의 구간에서 개선효과가 있는 것으로 나타났으나 일부 구간에서는 효과가 없거나 미미한 것으로 나타났다. 이를 각 구간별 개선조치 내용과 비교하여 검토한 결과 해당 구간에 여러 개선조치가 시행된 경우 효과가 양호하게 나타났으며, 효과가 나타나지 않는 구간은 개선조치가 적거나 단일한 경우가 일반적이었다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 개선효과가 나타나지 않는 구간에 대해서는 구체적인 분석과 대응책 마련이 가능할 것이다. 또한 향후 공용중인 고속도로 안전진단사업의 사업내용 및 방향설정 등에 참고로 활용될 수 있다.
