인화성 액체 도전율에 관한 측정 및 비교(IEC 60079-32-2) 연구 (A Study on the Measurement and Comparison(IEC 60079-32-2) of Flammable Liquid Conductivity)

  • The flammable liquid conductivity is an important factor in determining the generation of electrostatic in fire and explosion hazardous areas, so it is necessary to study the physical properties of flammable liquids. In particular, the relevant liquid conductivity in the process of handling flammable liquids in relation to the risk assessment and risk control in fire and explosion hazard areas, such as chemical plants, is classified as a main evaluation item according to the IEC standard, and it is necessary to have flammable liquid conductivity measuring devices and related data are required depending on the handling conditions of the material, such as temperature and mixing ratio for preventing the fire and explosion related to electrostatic. In addition, IEC 60079-32-2 [Explosive Atmospheres-Part 32-2 (Electrostatic hazards-Tests)] refers to the measuring device standard and the conductivity of a single substance. It was concluded that there is no measurement data according to the handling conditions such as mixing ratio of flammable liquid and temperature together with the use and measurement examples. We have developed the measurement reliability by improving the structure, material and measurement method of measuring device by referring to the IEC standard. We have developed a measurement device that is developed and manufactured by itself. The test results of flammable liquid conductivity measurement and the data of the NFPA 77 (Recommended Practice on Static Electricity) Annex B Table B.2 Static Electric Characteristic of Liquids were compared and verified by conducting the conductivity measurement of the flammable liquid handled in the fire and explosion hazardous place by using Measuring / Data Acquisition / Processing / PC Communication. It will contribute to the prevention of static electricity related disaster by taking preliminary measures for fire and explosion prevention by providing technical guidance for static electricity risk assessment and risk control through flammable liquid conductivity measurement experiment. In addition, based on the experimental results, it is possible to create a big data base by constructing electrostatic physical characteristic data of flammable liquids by process and material. Also, it is analyzed that it will contribute to the foundation composition for adding the specific information of conductivity of flammable liquid to the physical and chemical characteristics of MSDS.

  • 플랜트시설의 핵심부품인 산업용 밸브에 대한 기존안전관리는 인력에 의해 관리되고 있으며 점검 영역이 넓고 시설물의 특성상 제한된 접근성을 가지고 있기 때문에 어려움이 있다. 플랜트 시설의 수많은 산업용 밸브에서 누출 및 고장 발생 시 생산중단, 독성물질 및 가연성 가스의 누출 및 폭발로 인한 인명피해, 사고 위치 파악 어려움 등의 문제점이 발생되기 때문에 사물인터넷(IoT) 기술을 기반으로 한 안전관리 및 제어 시스템이 필요하다. 이 연구에서는 IoT 기반 무선통신을 통한 산업용 밸브의 안전관리 및 액츄에이터 제어 시스템 개발 내용 중에서 위험요소 예측기술 개발과 관련 된 내용이다. 밸브의 구조적 특성 분석을 하고 고장데이터, 문헌 등으로 부터 주요 위험요소 분석, 위험요소 원인분석 및 사고시나리오 분석을 통해 주요 위험요소로 인한 사고를 예방하기 위해 IoT 기반 산업용 밸브의 안전관리 기법을 개발하였다.

  • An increase in oil and gas plants caused by development of process industry have brought into the increase in use of flammable and toxic materials in the complex process under high temperature and pressure. There is always possibility of fire and explosion of dangerous chemicals, which exist as raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods whether used or stored in the industrial plants. Since there is the need of efforts on disaster damage reduction or mitigation process, we have been conducting a research to relate explosion model on the background of real 3D terrain model. By predicting the extent of damage caused by recent disasters, we will be able to improve efficiency of recovery and, sure, to take preventive measure and emergency counterplan in response to unprepared disaster. For disaster damage prediction, it is general to conduct quantitative risk assessment, using engineering model for environmentaldescription of the target area. There are different engineering models, according to type of disaster, to be used for industry disaster such as UVCE (Unconfined Vapor Cloud Explosion), BLEVE (Boiling Liquid Evaporation Vapor Explosion), Fireball and so on, among them.we estimate explosion damage through UVCE model which is used in the event of explosion of high frequency and severe damage. When flammable gas in a tank is released to the air, firing it brings about explosion, then we can assess the effect of explosion. As 3D terrain information data is utilized to predict and estimate the extent of damage for each human and material. 3D terrain data with synthetic environment (SEDRIS) gives us more accurate damage prediction for industrial disaster and this research will show appropriate prediction results.

Multi-family Residential Construction Management Practice in the U.S.

  • The Multi-family Residential is one of the most famous building types for a rental property in the US. Often times it includes multiple residential buildings and some amenity facilities, including a clubhouse or leasing office, swimming pool, dog park, and garages. Since the building type is built for rental purposes, the construction planning is phased and it makes the project complicated. Detailed planning and execution are important for successful construction management. This paper provides some management practices that are applied to one of the multi-family residential construction projects in Phoenix, AZ. The Front End Planning (FEP) process performed by both owner and contractor is the first key to a successful construction project. Specifically, the early review of phased turnover strategy, grading, fire/Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance, and Mechanical/ Electricity/Plumbing/Technology (MEPT) will provide absolute benefit to the project. Second, using a scheduling method to control short-term schedules and long-term can provide the ability to manage the issues with agility. Third, material delivery and procurement dominate the both project schedule and cost. With this COVID-19 circumstance, it is hard to expect the material, equipment, and labor forces to be delivered on time with the contracted price. Managing floats are more than important to managing construction productivity. Risk management should work to share the risks fairly. Lastly, turnover is directly linked with the profit of the project for both owner and contractor. The communication between the owner and contractor to re-schedule the proper turnover schedule is important for the phased construction project.

방사성폐기물관련 신문의 위험보도내용 분석 (Study on the Risk Communication of Radioactive Waste Material in Newspaper)

  • 방사성폐기물 관리시설에 관한 신문의 관심은 매우 컸으며, 3개월 동안에 480건의 기사를 8개 신문에서 실었다. 사설도 38건이었으나 상황과 사안에 따라 모든 신문이 정형화된 내용과 비판을 하였다. 기사는 대부분 정부의 보도 자료에 의존한 하거나, 시위소식 등을 전하는 단순사안이었고, 심층보도는 이 사업 추진에 가장 큰 장애요소가 되고 있는 지역주민과 시민단체의 반대논리와 여론을 이해할 수 있도록 전달하지 못하였다. 특히 가장 쟁점이 될 수 있는 방사성폐기물의 위험과 안전에 대해서는 68건의 심층 보도 가운데 17건에서만 언급되고 있었는데, 그 내용도 위험성과 안전에 대한 해설이나 분석기사는 아니었다. 결과적으로 신문은 정부와 지역주민간의 갈등을 해결하는 조화의 장을 이끌어 내거나 제공하지 못하였고, 찬성과 반대 측 전문가들에게 공론의 장을 제공하여 사회적 합의를 도출하는데 기여하지는 못하였다. 오히려 많은 기사 보도의 남발로 방사성폐기물 관리시설에 대한 부정적인 이미지를 부각시키는 영향만 남았다고 판단된다.

  • 최근 항만에서는 부정확한 컨테이너 적재로 인해 컨테이너가 강풍에 쉽게 쓰러지는 컨테이너 붕괴 사고가 빈번이 발생하고 있으며 이는 물적 피해와 항만 시스템 마비로 이어지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이런 사고를 미연에 방지하기 위해 딥러닝 기반 컨테이너 적재 상태 및 사고 위험도 검출 시스템을 제안한다. 제안된 시스템은 darknet 기반 YOLO 모델을 활용하여 컨테이너 상하의 코너캐스팅을 통해 컨테이너 정렬 상태를 실시간으로 파악하고 관리자에게 사고 위험도를 알리는 시스템이다. 제안된 시스템은 추론 속도, 분류 정확도, 검출 정확도 등을 성능 지표와 실제 구현 환경에서 최적의 성능을 보인 YOLOv4 모델을 객체 인식 알고리즘 모델로 선택하였다. 제안된 알고리즘인 YOLOv4가 YOLOv3보다 추론속도와 FPS의 성능 측면에서 낮은 성능을 보이기는 했지만, 분류 정확도와 검출 정확도에서 강력한 성능을 보임을 증명하였다.

  • For as to world, the concern about the environment problem is enhanced than any other time in the past because of being 21 century. And the environment problem is highlighted as the world-wide issue. The time of the environment problem intimidates the alive of the mankind and presence of an earth over the time. It becomes the essentiality not being selection in the personal living or the economical viewpoint now to prepare for the climatic modification. As to the company management, the green growth period which it excludes the environment management considering an environment, cannot carry on the company the continued management comes. That is, in the change center of the management paradigm, there is the environment management. Nearly, the greenhouse gas which the publication industry is the environmental toxic material like all industries is generated. The greenhouse gas is ejected in the process of running the manufacturing process and print shop of the various kinds material used as the raw material of the book. Particularly, the tree felling for getting the material of the paper is known to reach the direct influence on the global warming. This study does according to an object it considers and organizes the environment parameter based on this kind of fact as to the publication industry. And it is determined as the reference which is used as the basic materials preparing the case that carbon exhaust right transaction(CAP and TRADE) drawing are enforced in all industries and is sustainable the management of the publication industry and reduces the environmental risk among the company many risk management elements and plans and enforces the publication related policy that there is a value. In the printing publication industry, this study tried to inquire into elements discharging the environmental pollutant or the greenhouse gas. Additionally, in the printed publication production process, it tried to inquire into the effort for an environment-friendly and necessity at the printing paper and the printers ink, regarded as the element discharging the greenhouse gas all kinds of the printing materials, operation of the print shop and all kinds of the machines and recycle process, and etc. These considerations make these industrial field employees aware of the significance about a conservation and environmental protection. They try to give a help in the subsequent study producing quantitatively each environmental parameter emission of green house gas. This makes the calculation of the relative $CO_2$ output reproached ultimately possible. Meanwhile, in a sense, many research protects and improving an environment in connection with the contents of research at the printing publication industrial field is in progress. There will be the voluntary human face that it has to protect an environment but this can not do by the outside factor according to all kinds of environment related law and regulation. Anyway, because of acting on company management as the factor of oppression, the increase of this environment-related correspondence cost could know that the research that the environment loading relates with a procurement and development, environment management system introduction, quality control standard, including, normalizing including a material, and etc. through the part of the effort to reduce the cost low was actively in progress. As to the green growth era, as follows, this paper prescribed the subject and alternative of the print publication industry. It is surrounded by the firstly new digital environment and the generation of the subject. And secondly the printing industry is caused by the point of time when the green growth leaves by the topic which is largest in the global industry and it increases. The printing publication industry has to prepare the bridgehead for the environment-friendly green growth as the alternative for this resolution with first. The support blown in each industry becomes the obligation not being selection. Prestek in which the print publishing was exposed to spend many energies and which is known as the practice of the sustainable print publishing insisted that it mentioned importance of the green printing through the white pages in 2008 and a company had to be the green growth comprised through the environment-friendly activity. 한국에 이주한 조선족 중년여성 근로자의 경험: 작업 관련성 근골격계질환 위험 요인을 중심으로 (Experiences of Middle-aged Korean-Chinese Female Migrant Workers in Korea: With Focus on Risk Factors in Work-related Musculoskeletal Diseases)

  • Purpose: This study was to explore situations that might put the middle-aged Korean-Chinese female migrant workers at risk for work-related musculoskeletal diseases (WMSDs). At the development phase of a continuing health project, the study aimed to clarify health promotion program needs of the migrant population. Methods: A qualitative description research design was used with three focus groups of 23 Korean-Chinese female migrant workers. Each focus group interview was conducted for 70-minutes using semi-structured interview guidelines. The data were analyzed using directed qualitative content analysis techniques. Results: The majority of the participants were household workers and their work included heavy material handling, standing for a long time, and working in awkward postures. They experienced discrimination from employers, lack of control at work, limitations in open-communication, job insecurity, and acculturation. They had needs to have health promotion programs for preventing and managing chronic diseases, depression and menopause as well as WMSDs. Conclusion: The participants were situated in work environments with physical demanding tasks, acculturative and job-related stress and lack of opportunities to participate in health promotion programs. It is suggested to develop a comprehensive program to better meet the needs of middle-aged Korean-Chinese female migrant workers rather than targeting the reduction of WMSDs.

LoRaWAN을 이용한 선박 내부 격벽통과 신호의 특성 및 거리에 따른 수신율 분석 (Through-the-inner Bulkhead Signal Characteristics and Distance based Analysis on Receiving Rate using LoRaWAN)

  • As the accidents of cargo and passenger carrying ships occur, the stress faced by the vessel users is increasing. The risk factors for accident deterioration in remote marine area are stronger than those in road accidents, and therefore the need for safety control is greatly emphasized. To overcome such issue, a lot of effort has been made in terms of conducting research and development of the passengers and freights location tracking system. However, the inner bulkhead structures are made of aluminum/steel which is a difficult material to transfer location information through. This study aims to measure the receiving rate of LoRaWAN signal inside the aluminum/steel bulkhead structures with variation in reception strength and distance. The test was taken place at platforms with 6T and 8T enclosures to reflect the same conditions found in fishery patrol boats. The receiving rate of through-the-wall communication at 10M distance turned out to be 86% in case of using two 6T enclosures, and 73% in case of using one 8T enclosure. The result showed that the receiving rate was more affected by the thickness rather than the number of enclosures.

  • 본 논문은 G광역시 H병원에서 S전자 근로자를 대상으로 골다공증 검사를 실시함으로 근로자들의 골다공증 유병율과 관련 요인을 파악하여 직원들의 건강을 증진시킬 수 있는 보건교육 프로그램의 기초자료로 제시하고자 연구되었다. 또한 가족과 집을 떠나 원거리에 근무하는 직장 근로자들에 있어 골다공증 실태를 파악하여 골다공증과 관련한 자료를 제시하고자 하였다. 연구결과 골다공증의 발생원인으로는 성별, 직급, 체중 등이 관련 있었으며, 실험에 참여한 대부분의 대상자가 골다공증이 있거나, 관리대상으로 볼 때 기업체 내의 골다공증에 대한 조직적인 예방과 집중적인 관리가 필요함을 알 수 있었다. 골다공증은 직장 근로자들에게 있어 흡연, 음주, 운동부족, 카페인과 같은 생활 습관에 대한 보다 더 심층적인 연구가 필요함을 절감했다.
