  • 본 연구에서는 제조공정을 생략하고, 보다 최종제품의 형상에 가까운 직접압 연법을 실현하기 위한 기초적 연구로서 두개의 회전하는 로울 내부를 냉각하면서 쐐기형 노즐을 통하여 폭이 균일한 용탕을 직접 주입하는 실험방법에 의해서 얻어진 주편의 표면상태와 주조조건과의 관계에 대하여 논하며 또한 기계적성질에 대하여 검토한다.

Observation of Ridge-Runnel and Ripples in Mongsanpo Intertidal Flat by Satellite SAR Imagery (인공위성 SAR 영상을 이용한 몽산포 조간대의 Ridge-Runnel 및 연흔 관찰)

  • In this study, we analyzed ridge-runnel structure and ripple marks by using Envisat ASAR, JERS-1 SAR images and in-situ data in Mongsanpo intertidal flat located in Taean-Gun, Korea. A group of light-and-dark lines parallel to the shoreline, alternating 3-5 times, were observed in the intertidal flat in Envisat ASAR images. The patterns are related to ridge-runnel structure in the intertidal flat exposed to air. Well-drained runnels, typically with ripple marks, showed strong backscattering while runnels submerged by surface water or ridges, typically smooth with no ripple, have weak backscattering coefficients in Envisat ASAR images. In JERS-1 SAR images, however, the backscattering was very low on the entire intertidal flat and no ridge-runnel structure could be observed. The wavelengths of ripple marks measured from in-situ observations have ranges from 4 to 10 cm that satisfies the Bragg scattering condition of the 1st-order in Envisat ASAR images operating in C-band, but not in JERS-1 SAR that used L-band. Through this study using SAR images, we could successfully analyze the sedimentary conditions of intertidal flats with ridge-runnel and ripple marks which are not easily observed by optical sensors. It is expected that the results of this study with SAR images will contribute to the sedimentary research over intertidal flats.

  • Productivty of tapping has been increasing through the tcchnological advances in synchronization between spindle rotation and feed motion even in the high spindle speed. However, not much researches have been conducted about tapping process because its complicate cutting mechanism. In order ta investigate the characteristics of the tapping process, this paper concentrates on the analysis of curting torque behavior during one cycle of lapping. As one completc thread is performed through the whole chamfer ercuttlng, cutting torque increases highly in chamfer cutting, but smaothly in full thread cutting Functioning of the threads guide. Cutting torque in backward cutting is smaller than in Sorwerd cutting due to only friction farce in against between the tool and workpiece. And torque behavior of a periodic Sine ripple-mark was identified during one revolution of a tap.

Effect of Skinpassing Conditions on the Surface Characteristics of Hot-dip Galvanized Steel Sheets (용융아연도금강판의 표면특성에 미치는 조질압연 조업조건의 영향)

  • The skinpassing conditions such as roll type, roll force and roll roughness of the work roll were evaluated to give the surface properties of the galvanized steel sheets that were required for automotive and to get rid of the surface defects that caused with the bad control of galvanized coating process parameters. The surface defects of the galvanized steel sheets such as the ripple mark and the scratch were completely removed as the roll force of SPM work roll was increased and the amount of the transfer of roll surface texture to the strip was also gained a lot. The image clarity of electro discharge textured (EDT) coated steel sheets before and after painting was higher than that of the bright (BRT) and shot blasted (SBT) coated steel sheets because of higher PPI value, lower waviness and uniform surface pattern. Since micro-craters transferred on the surface of the galvanized steel sheets played a role of nucleation sites of chromate reaction, Increase of micro-craters was bring to better corrosion resistance with the increase of the roll force and the use of EDT roll at the skin pass mill.

An Analysis of Micro-landform and Its Grain Size of Tidal Flat in Gomso-Bay using Satellite Remote Sensing (위성원격탐사를 이용한 곰소만 간석지의 미지형과 퇴적물 입도특성 분석)

  • Through the ISODATA method of unsupervised classification, the micro-landform of Gomso-Bay tidal flat was classified into mud, mixed, and sand flats by using Landsat TM image. Each tidal flat shows on apparent differences in its topographical characteristics and grain size compositions. Mud flat is occupied the innermost part of the tidal flat. Sand flat is distributed adjacent to the entrance of the bay, while the mixed one is located in the central part of the bay. Mud flat deposits have fine grain size, more than 4 in average mean phi, bad sorting, more than 1 phi in standard devation, and positive skewness. Mixed and sand flat deposits have coarse grain size, less than 4 average mean phi, good sorting, less than 1 phi in standard daviation, and negative skewness. Topographically, the mud flat consists of flat surfaces and dissected channels. The average depth of dissected channels is about 2 meters. Meanwhile, sand flat has a very flat landform with well-developed ripple marks of less than 10 centimeters in average relief. And the mixed one shows the intermediate topographical characteristics of those of mud and sand flats.

  • Mt. Apsan is well known to be one of the most popular tourist sites around Daegu. Annually, more than 16 million persons visit Mt. Apsan. Although, in the mountain there are varieties of geomorphic and geological resources, there has been less concern to utilize the resources for geo-tourism. For example, there are about 10 valleys within Mt. Apsan and various landforms are scattered around the valleys. In this context, this study, based on field surveys centering around Gosangol valley, Anjiranggol valley and Dalbigol valley, focuses on exploring ways towards developing Mt. Apsan as an example geo-tourist site. The main findings are as follows: 1) The main landforms of Mt. Apsan include river cliff, cavern, free face, mud crack, ripple mark, fold, sheeting joint, talus, alluvial fan, pot hole, fault line, gnamma, columnar joint and metamorphic rock. 2) The guide notes on the landforms are developed. 3) In order to raise a learning effect of visitors on geomorphic resources, 9 nature trails are designed according to valleys and the length of visitor's stay.

Development of Algorithms for Correcting and Mapping High-Resolution Side Scan Sonar Imagery (고해상도 사이드 스캔 소나 영상의 보정 및 매핑 알고리즘의 개발)

  • To acquire seabed information, the mosaic images of the seabed were generated using Side Scan Sonar. Short time energy function which is needed for slant range correction is proposed to get the height of Tow-Fish to the reflected acoustic amplitudes of each ping, and that leads to a mosaic image without water column. While generating mosaic image, maximum value, last value and average value are used for the measure of a pixel in the mosaic image and 3-D information was kept by using acoustic amplitudes which were heading for specific direction. As a generating method of mosaic image, low resolution mosaic image which is over 1m/pixel resolution was generated for whole survey area first, and then high resolution mosaic image which is generated under 0.1m/pixel resolution was generated for the selected area. Rocks, ripple mark, sand wave, tidal flat and artificial fish reef are found in the mosaic image.

Pour tirer profit de ces paysages naturels il est d'abord n$\acute{e}$ssaire de les prot$\acute{e}$ger. Malgr$\acute{e}$ la haute valeur de ces paysages naturels, ils demeurent peu connus et les analyses $\acute{e}$cotouristiques de la ville de Yeosu et ses environs sont encore incompl$\grave{e}$tes. Par ailleurs, la protection de ces paysages naturels est rendue difficile par la d$\acute{e}$sagr$\acute{e}$gation d$\hat{u}$e aux sels halo$\ddot{i}$des. Cette recherche a pour objet l'$\acute{e}$tude du tourisme physico-$\acute{e}$cologique et sa contribution au d$\acute{e}$veloppement $\acute{e}$conomique d'une r$\acute{e}$gion de Yeosu en Cor$\acute{e}$e du sud. Nous nous int$\acute{e}$ressons particuli$\grave{e}$rement au d$\acute{e}$veloppement d'une route $\acute{e}$cotouristique, aux crit$\grave{e}$res de s$\acute{e}$lection du lieu $\acute{e}$cotouristique et $\grave{a}$ la pr$\acute{e}$sentation des explications touristiques, en tenant compte de l'$\hat{i}$le de Sado et de ses paysages naturels sur le plan de l'$\acute{e}$cotourisme. Il y a plusieurs ressources $\acute{e}$cotouristiques sur l'$\hat{i}$le de Sado et dans ses environs: la plage de sable et la falaise de l'$\hat{i}$le de Sado; les traces fossiles de dinosaures, la ripple-mark et la crevasse dans le sol boueux de l'$\hat{i}$le de Joungdo; le tombolo, l'affleurement tufac$\acute{e}$ et le dyke de l'$\hat{i}$le de Silouseom; le trou provoqu$\acute{e}$ par les sels halo$\ddot{i}$des et le dyke de l'$\hat{i}$le de Jangsado; la mer ass$\acute{e}$ch$\acute{e}$e entre l'$\hat{i}$le de Naquek et l'$\hat{i}$le de Choudo.
