Several squarylium dyes, derived from benzothiazole and indoles, were synthesized as a potential NIR dyes with absorption in the 700-900 nm region. These chromophores were induced much more bathochromic shift in the absorption maximum of the compound relative to the neutral parent squarylium dyes which we were described before. The squaryliums offer a convenient way of linking the dye to functional substrates and may be an advantage to be potential chromophores for NIR-absorbing, NIR-Cut-off filter, PDT(Photo Dynamic Therapy) materials.

The structure and environments of the molecular clouds near the SNR $HB3(G132.7\pm1.3)$ are studied. The molecular complex which is located at the southern rim of HB3 was proposed by former investigators as the one interacting with HB3. This complex region of $2^{\circ}\times2^{\circ}\;at\;l=133^{\circ}$ has been observed at $^{12}CO,\;^{13}CO,\;J=1-0\;at\;a\;1'$, resolution with the 14-m radio telescope at Taeduk Radio Astronomy Observatory. We have reached to the following four conclusions. The possibility that these molecular complex and HB3 are interacting with each other cannot be supported with any of our data. The morphologies of the two show no similarities. Neither particular features for the interaction are found in the CO lines. The hypothetical 'Molecular wall' which was expected to exist on the northwestern rim of HB3 as a cause for the noncircular morphology of HB3 is turned out to be nonexistent in CO. The molecular complex which resembles a 'bar' at a low resolution is now resolved into a U-shaped shell. It seems that the U-shape is consist of two independent components. No peculiarities, such as unseen masses or bright stars capable of forming HlI regions, are found within the U-shape region. The total mass included in the complex is estimated to be $M_{total}\;=\;2.9\~8.4\times10^5\;M_\bigodot$, which is in good agreement with previous observations within errors. Considering about 12 clumps distinguishable within the complex, the total mass implies that masses of each of clumps are on the order of $10^4\;M_\bigodot$, which makes these good objects for further studies in relation to star-formation. Especially the clumps associated with W3 are worthy for more high resolution observations for better understanding of astrophysical phenomenon ongoing in them.

In the midfacial fracture, the orbital region presents many additional complication unique to the orbit. Among them are ectropion, entropion, lid ptosis, injury to the lacrimal apparatus, diplopia or the late development of enophthalmos. The residual problem confronting the surgen is usually enophthalmos or diplopia. Enophthalmos becomes cosmetically obvious at 3mm and if more severe it can interfere with vision from obstruction by the orbital rim. In this clinical situation, many patients prefer the simpler intraorbital volume expansion to the more complex orbital osteotomy. In general, except in mild cases of enophthalmos, the procedure of choice is osteotomy and repositioning for zygoma fracture and volume augmentation for blow-out fracture. Late treatment is performed by volume augmentation based on the CT findings behind the axis of the globe. Inferiorly placed grafts elevate the globe, posterior superior grafts move the globe anterior and medially positioned grafts push the globe laterally. In this two cases, the patients who has stable orbitozygomatic rim, the use of calvarial bone grafts more than 3 areas around intraorbital content, we corrected late enophthalmos combined with diplopia. As result, the first patient had 2mm advance in exophthalmometric check with improvement of the diplopia gradually. The second patient had 1.5mm advance with correction of vertical ocular dystopia and cosmetically good results respectively.

상향링크 OFDMA 시스템에서 빈번한 레인징 동작이 이루어지지 않는 경우 기지국과 단말의 타이밍 동기가 유지되지 않을 수 있다. 특히 크기가 큰 셀에서 간헐적인 랜덤 액세스를 하는 경우 무시할 수 없는 타이밍 오차가 발생하여 OFDMA 신호의 직교성이 깨짐으로 인한 성능 열화가 발생할 수 있다. 이 논문에서는 랜덤 액세스를 할 때 일반적인 OFDMA 심벌보다 짧은 길이의 OFDMA 심벌을 생성하여 전송함으로써 타이밍 오차가 발생하더라도 OFDMA의 직교성이 유지될 수 있는 새로운 랜덤 액세스 기법을 제안한다. 제안하는 방법은 상향링크 OFDMA 심벌을 형성할 때 zero-padding 구간을 삽입함으로써 타이밍 오차에 대해 강건하도록 한다.

A 16-year-old male presented with pain in the right posterior mandible on chewing that had lasted for several months. The radiographic features of the lesion included a radiolucent-radiopaque mixed-density mass with a radiolucent rim attached to the root of the mandibular right first molar. The preliminary radiographic diagnosis was benign cementoblastoma, which was confirmed by histopathological examination following surgical excision. The lesion recurred 3 years after treatment; radiographically, it consisted of 3 round foci with mixed radiopacity, each with a radiolucent rim near the root of the mandibular right second premolar and the edentulous postoperative region. The lesion was diagnosed as recurrent benign cementoblastoma and a second surgery was scheduled. This report presented an unusual case of recurrent benign cementoblastoma following surgical excision and extraction of the involved tooth, along with a literature review on reported cases of recurrent benign cementoblastoma with a focus on its clinical features and the best treatment options.

The thermo-mechanical interaction between brake block and wheel tread during braking has been found to cause thermal crack on the wheel tread. Due to thermal expansion of the rim material, the thermal cracks will protrude from the wheel tread and be more exposed to wear during the wheel/block contact than the rest of the tread surface. The wheel rim is in residual compression stress when is new. After service running, the region in the tread has reversed to tension. This condition can lead to the formation and growth of thermal cracks in the rim which can ultimately lead to premature failure of wheel. In the present paper, the thermal cracks of railway wheel, one of severe damages on the wheel tread, were evaluated to understand the safety of railway wheel in running condition. The residual stresses for damaged wheel which are applied to tread brake are investigated. Mainly X-ray diffusion method is used. Under the condition of concurrent loading of continuous rolling contact with rails and cyclic frictional heat from brake blocks, the reduction of residual stress is found to correlate well with the thermal crack initiation.

2007년 12월의 대통령선거 과정에서 행해진 수많은 전화 여론조사에서 이명박 후보가 일관되게 앞자리를 지켰다. 많은 수의 여론조사가 시행되는 경우 개별 여론조사의 표본추출오차는 상쇄되어 소멸한다. 그러나 일정한 편향은 많은 수의 조사가 실행된다 하더라도 잔존하므로 중요한 문제가 아닐 수 없다. 우리나라의 전화조사는 지역, 성과 연령대를 고려한 할당추출(quota sampling)을 사용하며 대부분 전화번호부를 표집 틀로 한다. 조사 거절률도 높은 편이다. 이에 따라 조사표본들이 할당변인 외의 인구사회적 속성에서 모집단을 잘 대표하지 못할 수 있다. 이 연구의 목적은 허명회 등 (2004)의 연구 방법른을 2007년에 수행된 대통령선거 여론조사 L8개 사례에 적용하여 다음 물음에 답하는 데 목적이 있다. - 물음 1. 각후보에 대한 선호도 또는 지지율에 체계적 편향이 있지 않았는가? - 물음 2. 편향이 있었다면, 그 원인이 어디에 있는가? 첫째 물음에 답하기 위하여 2007년 11월 이후 시행된 11개 사례 자료에 지역, 성과 연령대 외에 직업과 학력까지 고려한 반복비례가중법(rim weighting)을 적용해보았다. 그 결과, 이명박 후보의 지지율이 평균 1.4%P 과다 추정되었던 것으로 나타났다. 반면, 정동영 후보의 지지율은 평균 0.6%P 과소 추정되었고 이에 따라 두 후보간 지지율 차이가 2.0%P (= 1.4+0.6) 과다하게 추정되었던 것으로 보여진다. 둘째 물음에 답하기 위하여 위의 11개 사례 자료에서 이명박 후보 지지를 종속변수로 하는 로지스틱 회귀 분석을 하였다. 그 결과, 전화조사 표본에서의 저학력자 과소 및 가정주부의 과다가 이명박 편향의 원인이 되는 것으로 밝혀졌다.

A survey was performed to investigate the infection status of fishborne trematode (FBT) metacercariae in freshwater fish from Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China. A total of 307 freshwater fish of 31 species were collected from 5 administrative regions of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. They were examined by artificial digestion method from July 2003 to August 2004. No metacercariae were detected in fish from Fusui-xian. In fish from Mashan-xian and a market in Nanning, 3 species of metacercariae, Haplorchis taichui, Haplorchis pumilio, and Centrocestus formosanus, were mainly detected. Metacercariae (8 in number) of Clonorchis sinensis were found in 1 Chanodichthys dabryi purchased from a market in Nanning. In fish from Yangshuo, Metagonimus yokogawai metacercariae were detected from all 18 fish species examined. Total 13 C. sinensis metacercariae were found in 3 out of 10 Hemibarbus maculatus from Yangshuo. All7 Zacco platypus from Yangshuo were infected with 8-112 Echinochasmus perfoliatus metacercariae. In fish from Binyang-xian, H. pumilo metacercariae were mainly detected in all 5 fish species examined, and only 1 metacercaria of C. sinensis was found in a Hemiculter leucisculus. From the above results, it was confirmed that some species of freshwater fish play a role of second intermediate hosts for FBT in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China. In particular, 4 species of intestinal flukes, M. yokogawai, H. taichui, H. pumilio, and C. formosanus, were prevalent in fish hosts, whereas C.sinensis metacercariae were detected only in 3 fish species.

The furniture industry of the northern region of Gyeonggi Province consists of several regional complexes which was just autogenously, that is, not based on the organized and planned movements cultivated and clustered, so it stays small businesses. This fact certainly requires to find right courses for future policy direction, in order to develop the furniture industry centering in the northern region of Gyeonggi Province internationally competitive. Consequently the aim of the present study was to investigate the characteristics of the furniture industry in the northern region of Gyeonggi Province first and to present right development directions for the innovation of the structure of furniture industry according to the change of the times, i.e. to connect the industry, university and the authorities concerned well and to strengthen the technology level of furniture industry accordingly. In addition, this requires education and training of the excellent designers being able to create high added-value industrial sectors, including finding a new Korean national brand which should preoccupy the global market. Furthermore, the high-tech furniture industrial complex specialized in manufacture, distribution and marketing such as the division of work between business to business should be built and finally a Korean traditional & unique furniture culture should be created on the basis of a cultural approach of furniture industry. It would be the timing for entire business sectors related to Korea's furniture industry to establish an international standard certification like ISO, in order to upgrade the quality of furniture steadily while keeping our own tradition, and this belongs to a meaningful attempt for the high-tech lifestyles and the improvement in the quality of life of customers.

본 논문에서는 보다 정확한 물체 인식을 위하여 물체의 특징점 검출 시스템을 제안한다. 물체의 특징점 검출 시스템은 학습 단계와 검출 단계로 구분된다. 학습 단계에서는 각 특징점의 탐색영역을 설정하기 위한 관심영역모델과 탐색영역에서 특징점을 검출하기 위한 각 특징점별 검출기를 생성한다. 검출 단계에서는 학습 단계에서 생성했던 관심영역모델을 이용하여 입력 영상에서 각각의 특징점의 탐색영역을 설정한다. 시스템에서 검출하고자 하는 특징점 검출 방법은 고속 푸리에 변환을 이용하기 때문에 검출 속도가 빠르며 물체의 추적 시 실패하는 확률이 낮아진다. 제안하는 방법을 개발하여 실험 영상에 적용한 결과 추적하고자 하는 물체가 불규칙적인 속도로 움직일 때에도 안정적으로 추적함을 알 수 있었다. 실험 결과는 기존의 방법들에서 사용되었던 다양한 데이터 집합에 적용하였을 때 우수한 성능을 보여준다.
