  • In this paper we define prime right ideals of semirings and prove that if every right ideal of a semiring R is prime then R is weakly regular. We also prove that if the set of right ideals of R is totally ordered then every right ideal of R is prime if and only if R is right weakly regular. Moreover in this paper we also define prime subsemimodule (generalizing the concept of prime right ideals) of an R-semimodule. We prove that if a subsemimodule K of an R-semimodule M is prime then $A_K(M)$ is also a prime ideal of R.

  • A 12-month-old, 3.0-kg, male, Scottish fold cat was referred to Irion animal hospital with dyspnea and cardiac murmur. In radiograph, right-sided cardiomegaly and pleural effusion were identified. In echocardiographic examination, abnormal stenotic region was identified in right ventricle and dilation of right atrium and concentric hypertrophy of interventricular septum and the free wall of right ventricle were also identified. In the stenotic region, abnormal muscular band was identified. The turbulent flow was identified in infundibular region of right ventricular outflow tract with color-Doppler examination and high velocity flow (4.0 m/s) was also identified in stenotic region. With these results, double-chambered right ventricle (DCRV) was diagnosed.

  • We experienced 53 cases of tuberculous peripleural abscess, which had been proved by histopathological study, from Jan. 1980 to Dec. 1988. In 53 cases of abscesses, mean age was 25 years which was ranged from 1 year and 3 months old boy to 61 years old female [Male: Female=1.4: 1]. The location of the lesion was mainly right-sided [62%] and lateral predilection [53%]. In most of cases [85%], there was history of pulmonary tuberculosis and pleural thickening, but negative mycobacterial culture in the pus. Rib involved cases, confirmed by histopathologic examination, were 38.9% of all cases, which were all removed during operation. Combined pathologic lesions were all cleared at the same time, principally. There were 8 cases of recurred, of which at the same sided, 7 cases and contralateral sided, 1 case.

  • Apartments with a southern exposure are often thought to have advantages in receiving winter sunlights and summer natural ventilation. However, as due-south-apartments increase recently, the consideration for residential environment for households with no southern exposure is necessary. In case of due-south-apartments, residents prefer east-sided apartments than west facing apartments which might receive more hot sunlight in the afternoon; however in case of west-oriented apartments with active ventilation, the interior area is bright until late afternoon without unpleasant heat and has advantage in light environment aspects. This study aims to compare and analyze merits and demerits of air flow and sunlighted environment of buildings through sunshine duration simulation using CFD simulation ad sunlights about southeast-sided and southwest-sided apartments based on general opinions for apartment directions. As results of the interior natural ventilation analysis, as the average air flow speed in southwest-sided apartments was 1m/s faster than that of southeast-sided, it has effects of lowering sensory temperature of residents in summer, and for sunlighted environment, southwest-sided apartments are advantageous for sunlighted area for duration time inside. As a result of the research, the calculation of physical residential environment of apartment residential space should be reached through integrated evaluation of natural ventilation and sunlighted time from placement and facing direction of the buildings considering characteristics and environment of each apartment, not based on general opinions.

  • Anomalous systemic venous return to the right atrium is clinically innocuous and cause no functional disturbances or physiologic abnormalities by themselves and consequently require no treatment but may be surgical importance. We experienced a case of adult TOF combined with anomalous systemic venous drainage. Rudimentary right SVC with draining left sided vertical vein and IVC with separately drained left vein was revealed at operation time. With the bicaval cannulation, large sucker was used for drainage of blood from the left hepatic vein. Postoperative angiocardiogram showed above findings and combined double inferior vena cava at lumbar level.

  • This 18 year old girl with total anomalous venous connection, which was corrected surgically for the first time in Korea, is presented here. This patient has mild cyanosis, ejection systolic murmur with splitting of $S_2$ ,identical $O_2$ saturation of bleed samples from right and left chambers of the heart. The type was supracardiac TAPVC. On conventional cardiopulmonary by pass was used, and an right sided approach was employed. Post-op. course was smooth except for transient arrhythmia, low blood pressure and jaundice. She left hospital in a good general conditions.

  • A 17-year-old man was admitted for chronic anterior chest pain and dyspnea. He was undergone pericardiocentesis for chylopericardium and thoracostomy tube drainage for right sided chylothorax. Approximately 2000ml per day from right chest tube was drained during 20 days Supradiaphragmatic ligation of thoracic duct was performed and there was no drainage postoperatively and immediately antituberculous medication was done.

  • The following results ale extended from P-injective rings to AP-injective rings: (1) R is left self-injective regular if and only if R is a right (resp. left) AP-injective ring such that for every finitely generated left R-module M, $_R(M/Z(M))$ is projective, where Z(M) is the left singular submodule of $_{R}M$; (2) if R is a left nonsingular left AP-injective ring such that every maximal left ideal of R is either injective or a two-sided ideal of R, then R is either left self-injective regular or strongly regular. In addition, we answer a question of Roger Yue Chi Ming [13] in the positive. Let R be a ring whose every simple singular left R-module is Y J-injective. If R is a right MI-ring whose every essential right ideal is an essential left ideal, then R is a left and right self-injective regular, left and right V-ring of bounded index.

  • Right heart failure is a relatively common complication after left ventricular assist device (LVAD) implantation. Severe right heart failure can be managed by temporary right ventricular assist device (RVAD) implantation. However, trans-sternal RVAD insertion requires a subsequent third sternotomy for cannula removal. Herein, we present a case of RVAD insertion via a left anterior mini-thoracotomy after LVAD implantation in a patient with alcohol-induced cardiomyopathy.
