  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects and characteristics of health care programs for pregnant women with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) in Korea. Methods: This study was conducted according to the Cochrane Collaboration's systematic literature review handbook and the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses reporting guideline. We searched eight international and domestic electronic databases for relevant studies. Two reviewers independently selected the studies and extracted data. For each study, information on the research method, participants, characteristics of the program, and results were extracted using a previously established coding table. The National Evidence-based Healthcare Collaborating Agency's risk of bias assessment tool for non-randomized studies was used to assess the risk of bias of the included articles. A qualitative review of the selected studies was performed because the interventions differed considerably and the measured outcomes varied. Results: Out of 128 initially identified papers, seven were included in the final analysis. The risk of bias was evaluated as generally low. Health care programs for pregnant women with GDM showed positive effects on blood glucose control. Anxiety and depression were reduced, and self-management and self-care behavior, self-efficacy, and maternal identity improved. Conclusion: Our study provides clinical evidence for the effectiveness of health care programs for pregnant women with GDM, and its results can be used to support the development of health care programs for GDM. More well-designed research is needed on GDM, especially studies that deal with emotional stress and apply a family-oriented approach.

  • The research in the literature review on Internet of Things (IoT) adoption from an individual consumer viewpoint is minimal and has not yet been fully investigated. Therefore, the objectives of this study are to analyze the growth of IoT in recent years and to conduct a weight analysis of the factors that affect acceptance intentions and real usage of IoT-enabled services. For the review, we analyzed 87 publications from 13 conferences and 54 journals published during the period 2014-2020 about consumer adoption of IoT. Following the study, we discovered an unprecedented increase in the number of articles published in the last seven years, which points to an emerging area with an enormous prospect. Furthermore, the weight analysis outcome was associated with the diagrammatic representation in this study. After that, this research developed a generalized consumer IoT adoption model based on the 12 best predictors derived from frequency count and weight analysis, which had the highest predictive power for calculating IoT adoption. This paper further acknowledges the study's theoretical and practical contributions, as well as its shortcomings, and proposes further research directions for future researchers.

In researching stage, "patients after rotator cuff surgery", "cost-effectiveness evaluation" and "treatment of Korean medicine" were set as the keywords in "Pubmed", "Google scholar" and Korean databases (RISS, OASIS, KCI). There were no studies containing all three keywords, and after searching separately for "cost-effectiveness evaluation" and "treatment of Korean medicine", each 7 studies were reviewed. The indicators used in the study were identified such as study design, characteristics of subjects, outcome measurement and others. This study identified the need for cost-effectiveness evaluation on the treatment of Korean medicine after rotator cuff surgery. We expect that those indicators will be used to implement other studies afterwards.

Results: The results revealed that the lower the Michelin rating, the more positive review had a significant effect on consumer satisfaction. The higher the rating, the more image information had an effect on consumer satisfaction. Expectations for Michelin three-star restaurants are higher than those of two-star restaurants, so customers are more likely to be used negatively when writing reviews. • The purpose of this study was to review the research trends in school environmental education. We analyzed 383 research papers that specifically focused on the school context which were 66% of the total number (N=577) published in this journal between 1990~2011. We defined the characteristics of review and developed a review method by examining previous review studies in this area. The review framework for school environmental education research was devised in terms of seven research areas: 1) Theories and objectives of school environmental education, 2) Environmental awareness, attitude and behavior, 3) Current issues in environmental education in the school context, 4) Instructions and programs, 5) National Curriculum, 6) Environmental education contents, and 7) Teacher professionalism. In this paper, we present dominant features within each category with focus on the overall trends of research methods and themes. Finally, we discuss research issues emerging out of the empirical analysis for considering the value of research for enhancing the quality of environmental education in schools.

  • This study identified the types of consumer review information about apparel products based on consumer satisfaction/dissatisfaction with the availability/non-availability of consumer review information for online stores. Data were collected from 318 females aged 20s' to 30s', who had significant experience in reading consumer reviews posted on online stores. Consumer satisfaction/dissatisfaction with availability or non-availability of review information on online stores is different for information in regards to apparel product attributes, product benefits, and store attributes. According to the concept of quality elements suggested by the Kano model, two types of consumer review information were determined: Must-have information (product attribute information about size, fabric, color and design of the apparel product; benefit information about washing & care and comport of the apparel product; store attribute information about responsiveness, disclosure, delivery and after service of the store) and attracting information (attribute information about price comparison; benefit information about coordination with other items, fashionability, price discounts, value for price, reaction from others, emotion experienced during transaction, symbolic features for status, health functionality, and eco-friendly feature; store attribute information about return/refund, damage compensation and reputation/credibility of online store and interactive and dynamic nature of reviews among customers). There were significant differences between the high and low involvement groups in their perceptions of consumer review information.

  • This study was conducted by extending Ajzen's Theory of Planned Behavior(TPB) model in analyzing physician's observance behavior of National Health Insurance review standards. An extended TPB model was proposed by including 'background knowledge'and 'dorganizational commitment'in original model to predict physician's review standards observance behavior. Surveys for data collection were carried out on the physicians who were working in a general hospital, clinics, specialized hospitals, local medical centers and long term care hospitals located in Daegu and Kyoung-Buk province in Korea. Two hundreds twenty copies of questionnaires were distributed and 166 physicians responded. Data were analyzed using a structural equation model. The results show that an affirmative attitude and subjective norms have significant positive effects on physicians' behavior of observing review standards. However, the effect of perceived behavioral control on intention to behavior is not significant. The organizational commitment and background knowledge have a positive effect on the intention of observance of review standards. In conclusion, because physician's observance behaviors are affected by background knowledge and organizational commitment as well as attitudes, subjective norms, hospital managements should establish a communication system to share information on the review standards among physicians and provide appropriate measures to increase physician's organizational commitment.

  • Purpose: This study aimed to review recent findings from birth cohort studies on maternal and child environmental health. Methods: Birth cohort studies regarding environmental health outcomes for mothers and their children were investigated through a systematic review. A literature search was conducted in PubMed, CINAHL, the Cochrane Library, Embase, and RISS to identify published studies using the keywords using a combination of the following keywords: maternal exposure, environmental exposure, health, cohort, and birth cohort. Articles were searched and a quality appraisal using the Newcastle-Ottawa Scale for cohort studies was done. Results: A review of the 14 selected studies revealed that prenatal and early life exposure to environmental pollutants had negative impacts on physical, cognitive, and behavioral development among mothers and children up to 12 years later. Environmental pollutants included endocrine disruptors, air pollution (e.g., particulate matter), and heavy metals. Conclusion: This systematic review demonstrated that exposure to environmental pollutants negatively influences maternal and children's environmental health outcomes from pregnancy to the early years of life. Therefore, maternal health care professionals should take steps to reduce mothers' and children's exposure to environmental pollutants.
