High efficiency standards are slowly being introduced with IE3 efficiency levels shortly becoming compulsory in many countries; IE4 efficiency levels being developed for future implementation. In this paper a review is carried out of the IE 60034-30 standard which covers standard line-start induction motors. Some design techniques that can be used to increase efficiency in order to meet the IE4 standards are discussed. This standard is now being replaced by the IE60034-30-1 standard which extends to other line start motors and also IE 60034-30-2 is being introduced to cover variable speed drives in order to address developing technology. The conclusion is that IE4 standards are obtainable but careful design is needed to reach this. Examples from the literature are given.

While Korea does not have any legal statement on surrogacy, treatments are carried out in practice. As a result, every Institutional Review Board (IRB) of each fertility clinic faces an ethical predicament in reviewing each case. There is a need to arrange the institutions' own standards of surrogate pregnancy procedures before the establishment of national or professional regulation. This article examines the legal, social, and medical issues of surrogacy to help IRBs to judge their cases.

Several seismic design standards for fill dams adopted in Japan USA and Korea are reviewed in this study. The review on those standards is tried to provide a thinking way for a new seismic design standard which is urgently requested by the government I. e. the Ministry of Construction & Transportation and the Ministry of Science & Techniology. This study suggest that as a new seismic design standard of fill dam including concrete face rockfill dam(CFRD) the modified earthquake intensity method based on dynamic analysis be adopted in Korea while the dynamic analysis method should be used in evaluatiing the performance of fill dams precisely.

Bank Guarantee system is commonly used as useful financial instruments to support various overseas and domestic business activities by providing bank guarantees. Therefore, it will be able to develop as a useful socio-economic useful system. However, some procedural problem can arise from the processes under demands for payment. Therefore, it is very important to review the requirements of the demand for payment and compliance standard for the examination of a presentation under the guarantee system. It is necessary to examine main issues under the revised URDG 758. The URDG introduced the same examination principle of "need not be identical to, but shall not conflict with' as that of UCP 600. The main changes of the URDG 758 like this imply the mitigation of the compliance standard for examination. So, This paper is to provide a comparative study of the regulations and laws for the examination standard and propose their implications and practical notes under bank guarantee system. For this purpose, this study will be examined the practical and legal issues focusing on the relative regulations of the revision URDG 758. It will also be reviewed and compared with the URDG, ISP98, UCP 600 and so on.

The aim of this study was to suggest the standard process in developing Questionnaire of Pattern Identification (QPI). The process in developing QPI was researched from validated and developed questionnaire and the standard process in developing QPI was suggested through review of the experts in research, statistics and clinics. Check list was also provided. The number of QPI reviewed in this research was 17(4 in disease in Korea Medicine, 5 in Pathological symptoms, 6 in Sasang constitutional Diagnosis, and 2 in etc), The standard process in developing QPI consisted of 11 phage and 33 check lists. 1) Composition of Research Member(3check lists), 2)Set up of the Aim(5), 3) Review for advanced research(3), 4) Finding an Important Index(3), 5) Review of item selection(4), 6) Developing the questions using items(5), 7) Developing Draft of Questionnaire(2), 8) 1^st Survey of Reliability and Validity(2), 9) Revision and Correction of Item(1), 10) 2^st Survey of Reliability and Validity(2), 11) Completion and Application(3). This study suggests the standard process in developing QPI for the first time in Korea. This following step may help A new QPI development.

Science education researchers have discussed more effective STPD(Science Teacher Professional Development) based on a variety of perspectives, pointing out the limitations of traditional STPD. In this study, we selected eight major issues for more efficient STPD based on the literature review, summarized the literature review contents for each issue, and proposed a draft STPD standard based on the literature review. Using the draft STPD standard, a questionnaire for the Delphi survey was developed and a two-phase Delphi survey was conducted. The questionnaire consisted of 25 statements describing the STPD standard, and respondents were asked to indicate the validity and importance of the statement on a Likert scale, followed by an explanation and suggestions for revision. Twenty-one science educators and science teachers participated in the Delphi survey, and the results of the second round of the survey showed high levels of agreement on the validity and importance of all statements describing the STPD standard. For the content validity ratio and coefficient of variation, all statements met the criteria, and for the convergence and consensus, all but two statements met the criteria. Two statements were revised to reflect comments from the Delphi survey and were included in the final STPD standard. As a result, we developed STPD standard consisting of 23 statements in eight categories, and we discussed the disadvantages and advantages of the developed STPD standard and how to utilize them, as well as suggestions for future improvement and research.

Objectives : In this paper, we proposed a method to comprehensively examine the roles of medical insurance review nurses' by analyses of task importance and task performance. Methods : For the analyses, we used the responsesof 268 nurses who completed a questionnaire for members of the Medical Insurance Review Nurses Association in 2015, and analyzed task importance and task performance using the IPA method and the standard task guide. Results : There were significant differences in task importance and task performance according to task position. In the category of 'Keep up the good work,' 'Calculate benefit standard' was indicated only in administrative positions, and in the category of 'Concentrate here,' 'Manage hospital resources' and 'Process after appeal results' was demonstrated only in general positions. There were differences in the 'Low priority' and 'Possible overkill' categories by task performance according to task position. Conclusions : Our results indicate the necessity of a new education system and task reassignment according to task importance and task performance as perceived by medical insurance review nurses.

Examining the standards of review adopted by the dispute settlement body of the WTO in its decision on safeguard measures, the Appellate Body offers no coherent guidance or theory as to the legitimation of the safeguard measures adopted by the domestic authorities. It faults the lack of reasoned and adequate explanation in the national authorities' decision to impose safeguard measures, yet its own explanation of the permissible role for safeguard measure could hardly be less instructive. The Appellate Body has consistently emphasized fidelity to text in its decision but that approach can not work properly when the text is fundamentally deficient from the viewpoints that neither Article XIX nor the safeguard Agreement establish a coherent foundation for safeguard measures due to their vague and abstract provision. Without any coherent theory on guidance as to the legitimation of the safeguard measures, it would be absurd to expect WTO members to produce a reasoned and adequate explanation as to how their safeguard measures are in compliance with the WTO roles. In the absence of a thorough renegotiation for the proper operation of the WTO safeguard system, which seems quite unlikely for the foreseeable future, perhaps the unique method out of the current predicament is for the Appellate Body to lead a movement in establishing a sensible common law of safeguards, drawing on extra-textual guidance including the standards of review about their proper role in the WTO safeguard mechanism.
