In a backlash against corporate branding and capitalism, a growing number of consumers are resisting current marketplace practices and big corporate brands. One particular form of this phenomenon is the emergence of anti-brand communities in social media. The current study, which surveyed a sample of 251 anti-brand community members on Facebook, provides a preliminary understanding of the characteristics and antecedents of anti-brand communities as a new platform for consumer empowerment and anti-brand activism. Findings suggest that consumers' engagement in online anti-brand communities, especially through social media, may be triggered by their negative experiences with employees, product quality, post-purchase service, and value/price. They are motivated, the results show, by seven primary factors: altruism, revenge, advice seeking, convenience, sympathy seeking, socialization, and the need to vent.

Flannery O'Connor's stories have garnered critical attention for her religious views. Thus, the interpretation of violence in her fiction has been mainly associated with salvation in her characters. Nonetheless, O'Connor was aware of the historical facts surrounding white supremacist activities in the American South. In its revenge narrative, O'Connor's story "The Displaced Person" (1955) unveils subtle layers of politics from the Ku Klux Klan as well as her white characters' views of race and immigrants. O'Connor used a voice of reserve due to her minority position as woman and Catholic. Although she was a white female, she lived within repressive Southern religiosity. Racism prevailed beneath Southern chauvinism and patriotism. The conflicts in the South display the violent aspects of the "Invisible White Supreme Empire." After the World Wars, devalued whiteness elicited atrocities against socially upward mobile African Americans, foreigners and Catholics. This article explores the convoluted issues of racial hierarchy, miscegenation, and xenophobic reactions in the South.

The novel literature of the Romantic era was characterized by emotionally charged and imaginatively rich works. During this period, authors brought a new flow to the literary scene by exploring romantic themes in their unique styles. Various themes and genres emerged, diversifying the novel's target audience. It was during this era that Emily Brontë's "Wuthering Heights" was published. In this paper, we aim to explore the theme of alleviating internal turmoil within this novel, focusing on one enigmatic character, Heathcliff, among the main protagonists. We will illuminate Heathcliff's tumultuous past, analyzing the intricate connections of events that led to profound psychological anguish. By scrutinizing his actions and outward expressions, this paper seeks to understand the manifestation of his internal pain in interactions with other characters. We present a more comprehensive understanding of "Wuthering Heights," transcending the conventional boundaries of literary analysis. It not only proposes practical methods for alleviating internal turmoil but also sheds light on the timeless theme of divine love, offering readers a profound framework for interpreting the complexities of human relationships and the pursuit of inner peace.

Research was initiated to investigate early germination and establishment characteristics of perennial ryegrass (PR, Lolium perenne L.). An alternative condition was applied in Experiment I with 8-hr light at $25^{\circ}C$ and 16-hr dark at $15^{\circ}C$ (ISTA condition). Experiment II was conducted under $5^{\circ}C$ to $25^{\circ}C$ (natural condition). Significant differences were observed in germination percentage, germination speed and germination peak time. Seed germinating vigor was 66.00 to 93.75% under ISTA and 66.25 to 93.50% under natural conditions. Germination speed, measured as days to germination of 50% through 90%, was much faster with 'Pennant II', 'Brightstar II', 'Sonata' and 'Accent II' under ISTA conditions. But it was faster only with 'Pennant II' and 'Brightstar II' under natural conditions. Germination peak time ranged 1.48 to 5.65 days under ISTA, while 2.17 to 10.63 days under natural conditions. Regardless of growing conditions, the shortest cultivars in peak time were 'Sonata', 'Pennant II', and 'Brightstar II' and the longest one 'Revenge GLX'. Considering germinating vigor, early germination speed and germination peak time, 'Pennant II', 'Brightstar II', 'Sonata' and 'Accent II' were regarded as excellent cultivars under ISTA conditions, while 'Pennant II' and 'Brightstar II' under natural conditions.

Most of studies concerned with on-line Brand community show that it makes users to increase their brand loyalty and brand attachment. But it wouldn't be explained that on-line brand community could be the field of consumer's public complaining in service failure. So, this study tried to focus the dimensions of negative emotions and customer characteristics that may cause relationship dissolutions in on-line brand community. The findings of the present study following as, high relationship quality of on-line brand community user directly effects negative emotions, especially, disappointment and betrayal. second, disappointment and betrayal influences the desire of revenge. Third, customer's negative reactions (for example, negative replies about the brand or public complaining in community) are mediated by customer's desire of revenge. The analysis was held with brand community customers who has been experienced service recently by using SPSS14K and Smart PLS 2.0. The study verified the structural equation model hypothesizing the between emotional factors and negative reactions. In conclusion, this article provides implications into understanding of customer's negative emotions and user's characteristics that cause negative reactions in on-line brand community. thus, this may allow marketers to have managerial insights on handling of on-line brand community independently operated by consumers.

In this paper, I tried to examine the aspects of overcoming the aftermath of war through literary works. As history is continuously being reinterpreted and reevaluated, historical figures are described differently and given new meanings especially in the field of literature. It is not only important to examine these interpretations from previous generations themselves; it is also important to analyze them from a modern day perspective and look closely at their meanings. This research, by focusing on the post Manchu's invasion period, I examined the contemporary discussion. Literary works which were written in the post Manchu's invasion had different meaning comparing to the other time. Scholars at that time wanted to use historical figures as an allegory of temporary national situation. And this social phenomena was deeply related to the temporary discourses such like wipe off a disgrace by taking revenge on Qing (boksu $s{\breve{o}}lch^{prime}I$, 復讐雪恥) or loyalty to the Ming dynasty ($taemy{\breve{o}}ng$ ${\breve{u}}iri$, 對明義理). So that this research takes genre, time period, and nationality as the main variables to interpret typical historical figures and study their aspects.

This study focuses on analyzing the epic characteristics of a korean sports cartoon called "Burning Ground" in the 1970s. Through this, we would like to reveal that only "Burning Ground" has a unique narrative. We hope that such research will accumulate and serve as the basis for the study of Korean sports cartoon. In the 1970s and 1980s, Korean sports cartoons were narratives of the main characters. The story of the family is central to the narrative. Family revenge is mainly the central narrative. Plural narratives are serious, and sports act as auxiliary narratives. It uses 'Spocon', a characteristic of Japanese sports cartoons, to show its efforts to get revenge. Therefore, it is extremely rare to use professional knowledge in Korean sports cartoons in the 1970s. Burning Ground uses an escalating system to construct incremental narratives. The three-dimensional narrative is composed by utilizing various narratives of surrounding characters. The use of expertise in football is a feature of the 1990s, and showing this in the 1970s means that the work is ahead of its time. There are limitations of Japanese cartoon theft and plagiarism. However, through this, it provides evidence to examine the relationship between Korea and Japan. And timeless epic speciality must be recognized. The study is meaningful in that it can broaden the perspective of Korean cartoon research in the 1970s.

The purpose of this study is to understand North Korean female defectors' survival strategies in China. In this research, 13 female defectors in China were interviewed. There seemed to be 6 survival strategies in the interview. They disguised themselves as if they were Chosunjok；they tried to wear fashionable clothes, to mimic Chosunjok dialect, to speak mingling Chinese words with Korean words, and to get counterfeit ID cards. They suppressed themselves from showing their angers or resentment against Chinese who looked down on them due to their illegal status, but they would seek chances to revenge on them in the future. They have survived by gelling married to Chinese, but they were reluctant to have a baby because it was not for sure what their future lives are going to be like. They were alert against people around them all the time, especially against North Korean defectors, and were conscious of their competitive relationship among themselves. Finally, some of them appeared to seek routes to immigrate to South Korea, but others who didn't yet make up their minds to immigrate to South Korea had vague anticipations of North and South Koreas to be reunified.

The purpose of this essay is to know the expressed form and color and also to examine the inner symbolic meaning of the movie "Sympathy for Lady Vengeance" by producer Chan-Wook Park. In the movie, the main character Geumja has double personality, having both images of a wicked woman and a woman saint, and she showed the clothing of both good and evil. For example, while she was in prison, her prisoner uniform while she was taking care of her inmates, her pajama which is the symbol of innocence when she was atoning and praying, Geumja's appearance wasn't fabulous when she was wearing baker's cloth that symbolize pure inside. But in contrast, Geumja who was released from prison planned and execute vengeance, dress colorful dress and primary color make-ups. Blue color coat with gloomy mood, black leather coat with the image of female warrior, and the slip with intensive image and etc express Geumja's will of revenge. Like this, depend on the psychology of main character Geumja, it's easy to recognize the change of clothing and color, and it's possible to understand the symbolic meaning in it.

In 1950, Anne $H{\acute{e}}bert$ published Le Torrent, a collection of seven short stories. These stories containing many shocking themes and expressions have placed her one of the pioneers of modern novels in Quebec. This paper tries to analyze several phases of alienation described in the novels and the reactions of alienated caracters in their situation. Some examples of alienated and mentally or physically deformed characters in Le Torrent are Fran?ois, $St{\acute{e}}phanie$, Stella, etc. Although the author wanted readers to interpret these characters on ther individual level, this paper interprets them differently. The result of this study is as following. Alienation doesn't come from one's interior but his exterior. Society and history are major agents of alienation. The injustice of life imposed on the caracters results from political and religious underdevelopment, cultural lowness, absence of social security system and of universal education at that time. The conquest of Quebec by England left a deep and historical wound on the French Canadians. This fact is, in my opinion, one of the essential themes of Anne $H{\acute{e}}bert^{\prime}s$ novels. In spite of all these alienating situations, the reactions showed by the caracters of the novels are limited to escapist illusion, self-destruction, mistaken revenge, eternal submission, etc. In conclusion, Le Torrent by Anne $H{\acute{e}}bert$ which deeply approached themes of violence and alienation could be called authentic landscape of the inner world of Quebecois before 'la Revolution tranquille.'
