A Case of Bilateral Retro-Auricular Kimura's Disease (양측 후이개 종물로 발병한 Kimura씨 병 1예)

  • Kimura's disease is a chronic inflammatory disease with unknown etiology. The most common clinical presentation of Kimura's disease is non-tender unilateral mass in the head and neck area, but bilateral involvement has rarely been reported. Histopathological confirmation should be taken for the diagnosis. Various management options are available, including surgical excision, steroid therapy, and radiotherapy. We report a male patient diagnosed as Kimura's disease involving bilateral retro-auricular region. Simultaneous bilateral neck involvement is an extremely rare finding. For cosmetic reasons, the patient was treated surgically, with satisfactory postoperative results. When evaluating patients with mass lesion in bilateral parotid/retro-auricular area, Kimura's disease should be considered as differential diagnosis.

A Study of Audrey Hepburn Style Reflecting on the Fashion in the Late 20th Century (20세기 후반 패션에 나타난 Audrey Hepburn 스타일 연구)

  • The purpose of this research is to investigate and analysis the style of Audrey Hepburn(1929-1993), the most important style icon in the 1950s and '60s from the point of the style of dress in her films - Roman Holiday (1953), Sabrina (1954), Funny Face (1957) and Breakfast at Tiffany's (1966) and fashion activities, furthermore, to know the influence on the contemporary fashion. After 1960s, her style has been recreated by so many designers. In the 1980s, times influenced by post-modernism, there was also the effort to reconstruct the style in the 1950s again. At that time, some Hepburn styles-a reflective of the flamboyant and exaggerating trend in her ages-were appeared by a few designers in the 1980s. Over the 1990s' retro culture, there were a lot of efforts to reemerge the styles in the 1950 and '60s, they led to full-scale reconstruction of Hepburn style - a feeling of the elegance and intelligence harmonizing with the minimal and formal style. By the retro culture adding with the mainstream fashion trend of simpleness and comfort in the year 2000, Hepburn's casual style has been reconstructed to meet the modem need in the 21s1 century. Through these considerations, we could notice that Hepburn style has been recreating from various fashion fields harmonizing with the popular trend of the age.

Fashion Style of Women Silver Surfers on the SNS Shopping Channel (SNS 쇼핑채널에 나타난 실버서퍼(Silver Surfer) 여성의 패션스타일)

  • As silver surfers'(older people who are good at surfing the Internet) SNS use and influence increase, SNS shopping channels are also favored as the major means of contactless shopping. The study analyzed the trends in fashion styles corresponding to taste on the SNS shopping channels with silver surfer women as the target. Even though the shopping channel was for people in their 50s and 60s, most of the design factors focused on casual styles and young taste rather than the formal and mature image. The material, trim, and patterns reflected a retro or formal factor but were also reinterpreted as a young image to show the various forms. The characteristics of the women's fashion styles for silver surfers on the SNS shopping channels can be summarized as follows. First, they chose items that portrayed a young image regardless of their age. The colors, materials, and patterns of the products also helped to create a young image. Second, there was a tendency to pursue various casual items. Silver surfer women chose practical, casual items because of their active lifestyle. Third, retro items were reinterpreted as young and trendy. Silver surfer women showed their retro tastes but preferred practical clothing with young images.

Shear Bond Strength Comparison of Different Adhesive Systems to Calcium Silicate-based Materials (Calcium Silicate-based 재료에 대한 수 종 상아질 접착제의 전단결합강도 비교)

  • The aim of this study was to measure the shear bond strength (SBS) of different adhesive systems to calcium silicate-based materials (Biodentine and RetroMTA). Eighty cylindrical acrylic blocks, with a hole (5.0 mm diameter, 2.0 mm height) in each, were prepared. The holes were filled with Biodentine (BD) and RetroMTA (RMTA), and the specimens were divided into 2 groups. Each group was classified into 4 subgroups: Clearfil$^{TM}$ SE (CSE) ; AQ bond (AQ) ; All bond universal Self-etch (ABU-SE) ; and All bond universal Total-etch (ABU-TE). After the application of different adhesive systems, composite resin (Z350) was applied over BD and RMTA. The SBS was measured using a universal testing machine, and the data were compared using the Kruskal-Wallis test and the Mann-Whitney test. The highest and lowest values of SBS were observed for BD-ABU-SE and RMTA-AQ, respectively. No significant differences were found in the SBS between ABU-TE and ABU-SE and between ABU-TE and CSE to BD and RMTA. According to the data, BD showed a higher SBS than did RMTA when BD and RMTA are compared in the same adhesive agents. Further, among all groups, composite resin with ABU-SE showed better bond strength to BD and RMTA.

The Analysis of Fashion Trend Cycle using Big Data (패션 트렌드의 주기적 순환성에 관한 빅데이터 융합 분석)

  • In this paper, big data analysis was conducted for past and present fashion trends and fashion cycle. We focused on daily look for ordinary people instead of the fashion professionals and fashion show. Using the social matrix tool, Textom, we performed frequency analysis, N-gram analysis, network analysis and structural equivalence analysis on the big data containing fashion trends and cycles. The results are as follows. First, this study extracted the major key words related to fashion trends for the daily look from the past(1980s, 1990s) and the present(2019 and 2020). Second, the frequence analysis and N-gram analysis showed that the fashion cycle has shorten to 30-40 years. Third, the structural equivalence analysis found the four representative clusters. The past four clusters are jean, retro codi, athleisure look, celebrity retro and the present clusters are retro, newtro, lady chic, retro futurism. Fourth, through the network analysis and N-gram analysis, it turned out that the past fashion is reproduced and evolves to the current fashion with certain reasoning.

  • Purpose: Dual reporter gene imaging has several advantages for more sophisticated molecular imaging studies such as gene therapy monitoring. Herein, we have constructed hepatoma cell line expressing dual reporter genes of sodium iodide symporter (NIS) and enhanced green fluorescence protein (EGFP), and the functionalities of the genes were evaluated in vivo by nuclear and optical imaging. Materials and Methods: A pRetro-PN vector was constructed after separating NIS gene from pcDNA-NIS. RSV-EGFP-WPRE fragment separated from pLNRGW was cloned into pRetro-PN vector. The final vector expressing dual reporter genes was named pRetro-PNRGW. A human hepatoma (HepG2) cells were transfected by the retrovirus containing NIS and EGFP gene (HepG2-NE). Expression of NIS gene was confirmed by RT-PCR, radioiodine uptake and efflux studies. Expression of EGFP was confirmed by RT-PCR and fluorescence microscope. The HepG2 and HepG2-NE cells were implanted in shoulder and hindlimb of nude mice, then fluorescence image, gamma camera image and I-124 microPET image were undertaken. Results: The HepG2-NE cell was successfully constructed. RT-PCR showed NIS and EGFP mRNA expression. About 50% of cells showed fluorescence. The iodine uptake of NIS-expressed cells was about 9 times higher than control. In efflux study, $T_{1/2}$ of HepG2-NE cells was 9 min. HepG2-NE xenograft showed high signal-to-background fluorescent spots and higher iodine-uptake compared to those of HepG2 xenograft. Conclusion: A hepatoma cell line expressing NIS and EGFP dual reporter genes was successfully constructed and could be used as a potential either by therapeutic gene or imaging reporter gene.

  • Dinitramide salts may be useful as effective solid oxidizers because of higher oxygen content than nitrate salts. 3-Nitramino-propanoate was given by base treatement in the retro-Michael reaction of N-nitro-4-azaheptanedioate, which was prepared by nitration of 4-azaheptanedioate using $HNO_3$-TFAA(trifiluoroacetic anhydride)-$Br_2$. The nitramino compound was treated wile $NO_2BF_4$ to give dinitramino compound which was subsequently reacted with bases to give dinitramide salts.

  • Glycosidation of 20(S)-protopanaxadiol obtained by the alkaline hydrolysis of total ginsenosides with 2,3,4,6-tetra-O-acetyl-${\alpha$-D-glucopyranosyl bromide in the presence of $CdCO_3$ in benzene-dioxane gave a mixture of acetylated monoglucosides and diglucosides in a total yield of 68%. Under the same condenstion condition, 20-dehydroxyglucosides were formed by dehydration of 12-O-glucosides. The structures of produced glycosides were elucidated as 3-O-${\beta$-D-glucopyranosyl-20(S)-protopanaxadiol, 12-O-${\beta$-D-glucopyranosyl-dammar-20(22), 24-dien-$3{\beta},12{\beta}$-diol, 3,12-di-O-${\beta}$-D-glucopyranosyl-dammar-20(22), 24-dien-$3{\beta},\;12{\beta}$-diol, respectively.
