Also overall satisfaction affected on repurchase intention and positive word of mouth.

The value of the customer's contribution essentially becomes the value of the dining industry in Korea. Therefore, an increase in the customer's equity maximizes the assets of the business. The purpose of this study intends to examine relationships between customer equity and behavioral intentions in restaurant industry and verify the moderating effect of restaurant type. This study takes an integrated perspective on prior literature on customer equity, as well as on aspects of the general restaurant industry related to customer equity, thereby defining the concept of customer equity in a way that reflects the characteristics of the dining industry. A total of 420 patrons in Korea participated. The results showed a positive relationship between brand equity, relationship equity and behavioral intentions. There were moderating effects related to restaurant type in the causal relationships between behavioral intentions. The components of customer equity and relationship equity in casual dining restaurants, and value equity and brand equity in quickservice restaurants significantly by customers differs according to restaurant type. Limitations and future research directions are also discussed.

Purpose: This study analyzed the influence of restaurant service perception on customer satisfaction and its implications on customers' attitude towards, intention to return to, and word-of-mouth (WOM) regarding a restaurant chain. Research design, data and methodology: Data from 421 respondents were collected using the convenience sampling method. After analyzing the data normality and removing responses with missing data and outliers, 342 responses were selected for further analysis, and the hypotheses were tested using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Results: We found that service perception affected customer satisfaction and customer satisfaction affected the customers' attitude toward the restaurant chain, which affected customers' intention to return and WOM about the restaurant chain. Conclusions: This paper provides one of the most important empirical results for managers in the restaurant sector, especially in Indonesia. Restaurant managers should thus provide training to their employees to improve the quality of the interaction with the customers and thereby increase customer satisfaction. The limitations listed in this study include the exclusion of respondents' income. For future research, we suggest investigating models of customer participation or consumer value co-creation for restaurant marketing success. Consumers are generic actors in the service ecosystem engaged in the value co-creation process.
This study conducted to analyze the causal relationships among image factors (brand, store, enterprise) of family restaurants, customer satisfaction, customer trust, and revisit intention as perceived by 271 customers, who have visited a family restaurant located in Ulsan and Busan regions. Present study performed frequency analysis, factor analysis, customer trust analysis, correlation analysis, and multiple (simple) regression analysis using SPSS 18.0 statistical program. The analysis results indicated that the image of family restaurants had significant positive (+) influences on customer satisfaction, customer trust, and revisit intention, among which the biggest influential factor was found to be the store factor. Significant influence was shown for brand image followed by corporate image. In addition, customer satisfaction and customer trust had significant positive (+) influences on revisit intention. As a result of this study, store image among family restaurant images appeared as the most important element; hereupon, this study considers that it is necessary for a family restaurant to build a differentiated image to increase revisit intention by satisfying customer needs and by encouraging customers to have trust in the restaurant.

Based on the previous research findings, the following hypotheses were proposed and tested. First, customer evaluations of the factors related to the service of italic hotel restaurants wi11 show differences, depending upon demographics. The results found are as follows. Concerning the seasonality and variety of menu, customer evaluations differed by gender. Depending on age groups, customer evaluations differed for the communicative quality of menu, the restaurant atmosphere, the employee service level, and the food taste. By the type of occupations, there were differences in customer evaluations of the communicative quality of menu, the employee service level, and tie food taste. By the education levels, there were differences in the evaluations toward the seasonality and variety of menu, the restaurant atmosphere, the employee service level, and the food taste, Finally. concerning the restaurant atmosphere and the food taste, customer evaluations differed by their income levels. Second, the employee service level, the seasonality and variety of menu, the communicative quality of menu, the restaurant atmosphere, and the food taste are predicted to significantly affect customer satisfactions, My results were consistent with this prediction except for that the communicative quality of menu did not significantly affect customer satisfactions. Regarding the role of menu-related factors in customer satisfactions, my finding implies the importance of updating the menu, providing the variety and reflecting the seasonality. The more studies, however, should be needed to explore the various roles of menu-related factors in restaurant customer satisfactions.
Since protecting the environment became a major issue in modern society, an increasing number of individuals have engaged in lifestyles of health and sustainability (LOHAS). The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of restaurant and LOHAS images on customer satisfaction and loyalty. Particularly, this study analyzes the incremental information content of LOHAS image in the relationship between restaurant image and customer satisfaction/loyalty. A self-administered questionnaire was distributed to customers of casual-dining restaurants in three major cities (i.e., Seoul, Daegu, and Busan) in South Korea. The empirical findings suggest significant incremental information content of LOHAS image beyond general restaurant image in explaining customer satisfaction and loyalty.
