A new optical-resistive voltage divider, which consists of light emitting diode, optic fiber, PIN-photo diode and a high qualify shielding resistive divider, whose total response time is 7.35 [ns], has been obtained. The optical to electrical signal converter was constructed with GaAsP series light emitting diode. The response characteristics have been verified by applying the Marx impulse voltage generator experimentally. Comparing with the performance of conventional resistive voltage divider, the characteristics of the proposed optical-resistive voltage divider are more excellent in step response and less sensitive to electromagnetic interference.
Oil seals will experience a small amplitude dynamic excitation due to the shaft eccentricity as well as out-of-roundness of the shaft. The direct integration method is selected to analyze the time domain response of the seal lip-shaft contact. The physical properties of rubber seal materials are experimentally analyzed. Effects of both frequency and temperature on the material stiffness behavior are investigated for the linear viscoelastic materials of the seal. Using the nonlinear transient model, a finite element analysis of the lip-shaft contact behaviors under dynamic conditions is presented as a function of the shaft eccentricity, the shaft interference and the garter spring stiffness. The FEM results based on the experimental data indicate that the increased rotating speed may produce the separation conditions. These results will be very useful in predicting the leakage of oil seals under dynamic conditions.
Harmonic current originating from electric locomotives can be magnified due to the impedance characteristics of power supply circuit and bring about various problems. That is, electromagnetic interference with communication lines, operational trouble in signaling, overheat and/or vibration in power capacitor, mis-operation in protection relay and so on. Therefore, the exact assessment of the harmonic current flow must be undertaken at design and planning stage for the electric traction systems. For these reasons, this study propose a new approach to model and to analyse traction power feeding system focused on system response to current and voltage harmonic(PART I ). Measurements of harmonics are also performed for railway power supply systems under normal operation. Spectrum and distortion analyses in measurement data are variously described in PART II

Because of superior division among sub-channels, DWT MC-CDMA is less interference with neighborhood channel. In our newly proposed multi-carrier CDMA data transmission method, lIR CMFB filter banks sharply divide sub-bands and reduces spectral overlaps among neighboring sub-channels. In experiment result, proposed filter is better ability of sub-band division than FIR filter. Since the proposed cosine modulated filter banks lIR filter having wavelet property is designed to response sharp transition band, the ISI and ICI between neighboring sub-channels can be effectively reduced. And robustness about narrow band interference of CMFB IIR MC-CDMA almost same FIR DWT MC-CDMA.
This paper proposes a design of IIR notch filter with modified pole placements. The pole angle is derived from quadratic programming to find the appropriate pole position on the unit circle in z-plane in order to achieve the symmetry of the amplitude response. The simulation results are shown when compared with the conventional design technique. Moreover, it uses the TMS320C31 DSP chip for hardware implementation. Finally, the hardware implementation can be applied to removal of ECG baseline wander and elimination of AC power line interference in ECG signal.
High-speed I/O channels require adaptive techniques to optimize the settings for filter tap weights at decision feedback equalization (DFE) read channels to compensate for channel inter-symbol interference (ISI) and crosstalk from multiple adjacent channels. Both ISI and crosstalk tend to vary with channel length, process, and temperature variations. Individually optimizing parameters such as those just mentioned leads to suboptimal solutions. We propose a joint optimization technique for crosstalk cancellation (XTC) at DFE to compensate for both ISI and XTC in high-speed I/O channels. The technique is used to compensate for between 15.7 dB and 19.7 dB of channel loss combined with a variety of crosstalk strengths from $60mV_{p-p}$ to $180mV_{p-p}$ adaptively, where the transmit non-return-to-zero signal amplitude is a constant $500mV_{p-p}$.
A new configuration of acoustic echo canceler with stepsize predictor and comparator is proposed in this paper. Conventional acoustic echo cancelers using ES(Exponential Step)algorithm has fast convergence speed, but very weak in interference of environment. The proposed stepsize predictor and comparator improve conventional acoustic echo canceler's defects. The Stepsize predictor generates a stepsize value using residual power of error signal. The stepsize comparator selects the stepsize value that is better performance in a acoustic echo canceler using a stepsize decision factor. The Simulation results show superiority of the proposed acoustic echo canceler in environment interference.

In this paper, intrusion detection technique based on the sound field variation of audio frequency in the security space is proposed. The sound field formed by sound source can be detected with the microphone when the obstacle or intruder is positioned. The sound field variation due to the intruder is based on the interference of audio wave. With the help of numerical simulation of sound field formations, the increase or decrease of sound pressure level is analyzed not only the obstacle, but also the intruder. Even the microphone is positioned behind the source, sound pressure level can be increase or decrease due to the interference. Frequency response test is performed with Gaussian white noise signal to get the whole frequency response from 0 to half of sampling frequency. There are three security cases. Case 1 is the situation of empty space with and without intruder, case 2 is the situation of blocking obstacle with and without intruder, and case 3 is the situation of side blocking obstacle with and without intruder. At each case, the frequency response is obtained first at the security space without intruder, and second with intruder. From the experiment, intruder size of $50cm{\times}50cm$ can be successfully detected with the proposed technique. Moreover, the case 2 or case 3 bring about bigger sound field variation. It means that the proposed technique have the potential of more credible security sensing in real situation.

In this paper, intrusion detection technique based on the sound field variation of audio frequency in the security space is proposed. The sound field formed by sound source can be detected with the microphone when the obstacle or intruder is positioned. The sound field variation due to the intruder is mainly caused by the interference of audio wave. With the help of numerical simulation of sound field formations, the increase or decrease of sound pressure level is analyzed not only by the obstacle, but also by the intruder. Even the microphone is positioned behind the source, sound pressure level can be increased or decreased due to the interference of sound wave. At each case, the frequency response is obtained first at the security space without intruder, and second with intruder. From the experiment, intruder size of diameter of 50 cm pillar can be successfully detected with the proposed technique. Moreover, the case 2 and case 3 bring about bigger sound field variation. It means that the proposed technique have the potential of more credible security guarantee in real situation.
