낮은 저항온도계수를 갖는 박막 저항체 제작 및 신뢰성 특성 평가 (Fabrication and Reliability Properties of Thin film Resistors with Low Temperature Coefficient of Resistance)

  • The Ni/Cr/Al/Cu (51/41/4/4 wt%) thin films were deposited by using DC magnetron sputtering method for the application of the resistors having low TCR (temperature coefficients of resistance) and high resistivity from the former printed-results[3]. The TCR values measured on the as-deposited thin film resistors were less than ${\pm}10\;ppm/^{\circ}C$ and $-6{\sim}+1\;ppm/^{\circ}C$ after annealing and packaging process. The TCR values were $-3{\sim}1\;ppm/^{\circ}C$ (ratio of variation : about 0.02 %) and $-30{\sim}20\;ppm/^{\circ}C$ (ratio of variation : about $0.5{\sim}1\;%$) for the thermal cycling and PCT (pressure cooker test), respectively. It was confirmed that the reliability properties of the thin film resistor were good for electronic components.

  • The influence of reinforcing UHMWPE powder on the tribological and mechanical properties of HDPE was investigated. The circularizing of UHMWPE powder was improved by high-speed rotation to enhance particle distribution and flowability. HDPE composites reinforced with UHMWPE powder in the range of 0-50 wt% were prepared by co-rotating twin screw extrusion. The abrasion resistance, plane friction coefficient, tensile strengths, and impact strengths of the composites were investigated as a function of the UHMWPE content. An increasing UHMWPE content decreased the plane friction coefficient and increased the abrasion resistance and impact strength. It is expected that HDPE composites reinforced with spherical UHMWPE powder particles can be used to improve the durability of products such as pipes in the future.

  • In this paper, a dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSC), one of the representative third-generation solar cells with eco-friendly materials and processes compared to other solar cells, was modeled using MATLAB/Simulink. The simulation was conducted by designating values of series resistance, parallel resistance, light absorption coefficient, and thin film electrode thickness, which are directly related to the efficiency of dye-sensitized solar cells, as arbitrary experimental values. In order to analyze the performance of dye-sensitized solar cells, the optimal value among each parameter experimental value related to efficiency was found using formulas for fill factor (FF) and conversion efficiency.

A Practical Method of Prediction of Resistance for Displacement Vessels

  • The prediction of the total resistance of a ship is generally based on considering it to be a simple sum of the viscous resistance and the wave resistance. An experimental approach for predicting full-size ship resistance on this basis is practical but obviously has the deficiency that a model has to be built for each prototype of interest and the resulting tank tests are time consuming. On the other hand, purely theoretical calculations of the wave resistance, using, for example, the Michell theory, require relatively little computer time and give an excellent portrayal of the overall variation of the vessel resistance as a function of forward speed. Unfortunately, there are sufficient differences between this theory and the measured results to make this method impractical for design purposes. The proposal examined here is to use a data bank of experimental resistance results to modify the theoretical predictions. It is demonstrated that the technique will produce remarkably accurate resistance predictions and can take into account the effects of the water depth, any restriction of canal or river width, as well as the prismatic coefficient, and other geometric parameters.

  • PURPOSES : The purpose of this study is to provide the method of how to measure the coefficient of thermal expansion of concrete using temperature compensation principle of electrical resistance strain gauge. METHODS : The gauge factor compensation method and thermal output(temperature-induced apparent strain) correction method of self-temperature compensation gauge were investigated. From the literature review, coefficient of thermal expansion measurement method based on the thermal output differential comparison between reference material(invar) and unknown material(concrete) was suggested. RESULTS : Thermal output is caused by two reasons; first the electrical resistivity of the grid conductor is changed by temperature variation and the second contribution is due to the differential thermal expansion between gauge and the test material. Invar was selected as a reference material and it's coefficient of thermal expansion was measured as $2.12{\times}10^{-6}m/m/^{\circ}C$. by KS M ISO 11359-2. The reliability of the suggested measurement method was evaluated by the thermal output measurement of invar and mild steel. Finally coefficient of thermal expansion of concrete material for pavement was successfully measured as $15.45{\times}10^{-6}m/m/^{\circ}C$. CONCLUSIONS : The coefficient of thermal expansion measurement method using thermal output differential between invar and unknown concrete material was evaluated by theoretical and experimental aspects. Based on the test results, the proposed method is considered to be reasonable to apply for coefficient of thermal expansion measurement.

  • This paper describes online stator-resistance estimation of a linear induction motor(LIM) with cage-type secondary using direct thrust control(DTC), where the resistance value is derived from stator-winding temperature estimation using thermocouple. In this paper, corrected stator resistance has an error in actuality measurement resistance. So compensation coefficient $\kappa$ which is decided through comparison and verifying several times relation of calculated resistance and measured motor line-line resistance. The stator-winding temperature information can also be used for monitoring, protection, and fault-tolerant control of the machine. Also, this paper reports the LIM's responses of the flux measured by the proposed stator resistance compensation algorithm.

교란효과와 배수저항을 고려한 연직 배수재의 압밀 거동 (Consolidation Behavior of Vertical Drain in consideration of Smear Effect and Well Resistance)

  • 연직 드레인의 이론식에서 교란효과와 배수저항에 관련된 변수들을 변화시켜 구한 이론곡선과 현장의 실측자료를 쌍곡선, Curve Fitting, Asaoka, Monden방법에 의한 압밀도곡선을 비교 분석하여 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 1. 쌍곡선방법에 의한 압밀도곡선은 Curve Fitting, Asaoka, Monden방법에 의한 압밀도곡선과 비교할 때 압밀도가 과소하게 나타났다. 2. 현장 실측자료로부터 역산한 수평방향 압밀계수($C_h$)와 실내 시험에서 구한 수직 방향 압밀계수($C_v$)의 전체적인 범위는 교란효과와 배수저항을 무시하는 이상적인 경우에서는 $C_h=(0.5{\sim}2.5)C_v$, 교란효과와 배수저항을 고려한 경우에는 $C_h=(2{\sim}3)C_v$의 범위로 나타났다. 3. 역해석에 의한 교란된 지역의 투수계수란된 지역의 투수계수($K_s$)는 비교란지역의 수직투수계수($K_v$)의 1/2로, 교란지역의 직경($d_s$)은 Mendrel직경($d_m$)의 2배일 때 실측침하량에 의한 압밀도 곡선과 유사하게 나타났다. 4. 연직배수재 설계에 따른 배수저항의 영향은 직경감소가 커질수록 압밀이 지연되는 경향을 보였고, 드레인의 투수계수가 작은 경우가 큰 경우 보다 영향이 더 큰 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 감소 직경을 사용하는 설계법은 교란효과와 배수저항의 영향을 고려하는 것이 합리적이다.

플러그 밸브의 포트형상 변화에 따른 유동특성 연구 (A study on the flow characteristics in a plug valve with various port shapes)

  • The functions of the plug valve are the control of flow rate as well closing and opening pipe lines. Analyses on the flow characteristics in plug valve port are required to improve the performance and safety at severe operating conditions such as high-pressure and high-temperature. In this study, numerical analyses are carried out with varying the opening rate (fraction of the full open to close) of the valve and the shapes of valve Uk: straight, convex, concave and mixed shapes. The parameters influencing the flow characteristics in the valve are the discharge coefficient( $C_v$) and the resistance coefficient( K). Therefore, the distributions of static pressure, velocity vector and stream lines are investigated, and $C_v$ and K are calculated in each opening rate and shape. In case of full open, the static pressure passed through the valve port has almost been recovered. However, in case of other opening rates, the pressure does not permanently regained due to pressure drop leading to loss. This phenomenon in each shape of the valve shows the different behaviors. Calculation results show that the mixed shape has the best flow attribute.

더미스터 온도센서를 이용한 나노유체의 대류열전달계수 측정 장치 (Measuring Apparatus for Convective Heat Transfer Coefficient of Nanofluids Using a Thermistor Temperature Sensor)

  • 나노유체의 대류열전달 성능을 평가하는 센서로서 가는 백금 열선이 많이 사용되었다. 그러나 센서의 강도가 약해서 취급에 주의가 필요하고 측정실험에서 센서에 대한 엄밀한 교정과정을 생략하거나 정밀도 높은 기구들을 사용하지 않으면 비현실적인 대류열전달계수가 얻어졌다. 본 연구에서는 백금 열선 대신 더미스터 센서를 채택한 새로운 나노유체 대류 성능 평가장치를 제안하였고 그 작동 원리를 자세히 설명하였다. 순수 엔진오일에 대한 두 센서의 비교 실험을 통하여 더미스터 센서의 실용적 장점을 확인할 수 있었다. 제안된 장치는 개발된 나노유체의 채택 여부를 판단하는 유용한 도구로 사용될 수 있을 것이다.

Wear Mechanism of CrN Coating on Aluminum Alloys Deposited by AIP Method

  • Dry sliding wear and friction test of CrN coaling on two types of aluminum alloy substrates,6061 Al and 7075 Al deposited by arc ion plating, was peformed with a ball-on-disk tribometer. The effects of normal Bead and the mechanical properties of substrate on the friction coefficient and wear-resistance of CrN coating were investigated. The worn surfaces were observed by SEM. The results show that surface micro-hardness of CrN- coated 7075 Al is higher than that of CrN-coated 6061 Al. With an increase in normal lead, wear volume increases, while the friction coefficient decreases. The friction coefficient of CrN-coated 6061 Al is higher than that of CrN-coated 7075 Al, while the wear-resistance of CrN-coated 6061 Al is lower than the CrN-coated 7075 Al's, which indicates that the substrate mechanical properties have strong inf1uences on the friction coefficient and wear of CrN coating. The main wear mechanism was fragments of CrN coating, which were caused by apparent plastic deformation of substrate during wear test.
