스마트 홈에서 위치 기반 인간 적응형 냉난방기를 위한 신체 활동량 추정 (Estimation of Metabolic Rate Estimation for Location-based Human Adaptive Air-conditioner in Smart Home)

  • If an appliance perceives the location or health condition of a resident in the smart home, it can provide more intelligent service actively. That is, while the conventional appliance is operated by manual input of a resident, the location-based human adaptive appliance detects the resident's information such as location, activity pattern, or health condition by itself and provides the most suitable living condition for the resident autonomously. This paper presents the real-time location-based metabolic rate estimation method that measures the amount of physical activity (metabolic rate) for location-based human adaptive air-conditioner. And, the feasibility of the algorithm is evaluated experimentally on a test bed using the pyroelectric infrared sensor-based indoor location aware system (PILAS) that is a non-terminal-based location-aware system.

지역별 요양기관의 분포에 영향을 미치는 인구관련 요인 (Population-related factors affecting the regional distribution of medical institutions in Korea)

  • Few public health researchers have paid research attention to the location of medical institutions in Korea. Previous studies were published in geography journals, and relied on limited data in terms of geographic regions and the type of medical institutions. This study utilized nationwide data covering 8 types of medical institutions. We obtained data from Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service and National Population and Housing Census. The correlation coefficients of resident, daytime, university-graduate population, and the population of different age groups (fewer than 15, 15~64, 65 or more) were compared to understand their relative association with the location of medical institutions. Medical clinic, dental clinic, oriental medical clinic, and pharmacy, all of which are almost completely operated by private sector, showed strong positive correlation with population. Hospital-level medical institutions, which are operated by both public and private sector, had moderate positive correlation. Daytime population and university-graduate population, rather than resident population, were more correlated with the location of medical clinics. The correlation coefficients of the population of 15~64 age group and the location of medical institutions were greater than that of other age groups. The results showed that daytime and university-graduate population are more important than resident population to explain the location of medicalrelated facilities. The results also suggests that the population of age groups (especially, 15~64) might be one of important influence factors in the location of medical institutions.

  • In this paper, we define the multi-states exponential cell resident time mobility model for describing the mobility characteristics of mobile user and analyzed the total cost of the hybrid method using multi-states cell resident time. Generally, the mobile user has three states for its movement, such as staying, walking and driving. This multi-states cell resident time based hybrid method reflects the movement characteristics of mobile user and adapts the location update period according to the states of mobility speed. As a results of the performance analysis, we can get the optimum parameters of the hybrid method for multi-states based mobile users.

  • This paper focuses on human adaptive HVAC system that can regulate the thermal comfort of the resident in intelligent buildings. The thermal comfort is represented in this paper by PMV (Predicted Mean Vote) as defined by ISO 7730. This PMV value indicates how hot or cold a resident feels by considering temperature, humidity, resident's metabolic rate, relative air velocity, and clothing insulation. In order to develop such a system, a location detection system based on ZigBee module was used along with temperature sensors, other environment sensors. The human adaptive HVAC system was evaluated experimentally on a test bed emulating a room.

아파트 단지내 공동생활공간의 구성선호에 관한 연구 (Users' preference of the Shared Community Space for the Community Design of Multi-family Housing)

  • The purpose of this study is to find out users' preference of the shares community space(SCS) for the Community Design. For this, it was analyzed the residents' behavior characteristics of the current multi-family housing and the residents' needs of the SCS. This study focused on seeking out the user-oriented design criteria for the planning of the SCS. The survey was carried out with a structured questionnaire including sketch map from Aug. 13, 2001 to Sept. 14, 2001. The subjects were housewives who's living in Haeuondae of Busan, Korea. Total number of 650 questionnaires were collected and analyzed. Especially 439 cases among them were used for analysis of mental map. The SPSS PC+ was used for the analysis of data. The results of this study are as follows : First, as to the users' behavior for the SCSs, there is a difference in the location of residents' activities by contents of them. And, the range of these locations categorized according to levels of spacial cognition for neighborhoods. Second, as to the analysis of the SCS through a mental maps, it was shown that the residents' pathway and the residents' location are main variables to be considered in the SCS planning. The preferred location of SCS is organized according to the character of the SCS; the one for most residents, is located the surrounding of main enterance or the center of the housing complex, and the one the neighbors living in the same or the near building is located in area of the block of resident buildings. Third, as the results of residents' needs analysis, the SCS has the meaning of community facilities. And there is a difference in the degree of necessity and in the preferred location according to character of the SCS. In detal, for the indoor SCS of a resident building, there is a difference in the preferred location according to the kinds of each SCS. And for the outdoor SCS, it is necessary to divide the planning zone of the SCS into 3 steps(the resident building, the block of resident buildings, and the housing complex).

  • This study has purpose to make a report on the newly established rural villages in this country, and to find out the success factors of the rural village project focusing the developers who succeeded in the sales of rural village with emphasized community function. For this study, 123 projects informed from the website(www.welchon.com) were analyzed on the frequency and the officials in charge were interviewed by telephone on the step of projects. In addition, 4 personnel of development companies answered the semi-structured questionnaire on the location, development theme, preparative resident meeting, and success factors of 7 projects which was dealt with content analysis. The result was as follows. 1) Among the projects, more than 50% were the detached housing type with less than 50 units, and also were the resident-driven development projects. Only 5 projects were completed. 2) The personnel of development companies pointed at the location, environment for the economic activity, project theme and continuous resident meeting, as success factors of project. The barriers for rural village development policy are inadequate regulation and long administrative procedure. The preparative resident meeting is an important success factor, so that the system and the cost to run a professional program have to be guaranteed.

  • 본 논문에서는 헬스케어 홈 서비스를 위해 가정 내에 설치된 센서/기기로부터 수집된 위치, 건강 그리고 쾌적환경 정보를 이용하여 유비쿼터스 헬스케어를 지원하는 u-헬스케어 상황정보 시스템(HCIS)을 구현했다. HCIS는 분산자원의 맞춤형 관리모델인 분산객체그룹프레임워크(DOGF)를 기반으로 헬스케어 홈 환경에서 다양한 상황정보, 응용 그리고 장치들을 논리적인 하나 또는 그 이상의 단위로 그룹화하고 관리한다. 또한 본 시스템은 DOGF의 구성요소인 모바일프락시와 컨텍스트제공자를 통해 가정 내 거주자의 위치를 기반으로 연속적인 헬스케어용 멀티미디어 서비스를 지원하고, 거주자에게 필요한 상황정보를 제공한다. 본 시스템의 수행성을 검증하기 위해 홈 내에서 제공되는 헬스케어 응용으로 거주자 위치기반의 끊임없는 멀티미디어 서비스와 처방 주의 및 스케줄 알림/알람 서비스를 구현했다. 그리고 시나리오에 따라 거주자가 위치한 영역의 서비스 장치를 통해 헬스케어 홈 서비스의 수행결과를 보였다.

  • Many business enterprises in domestic housing industry are focusing on the development of environment friendly apartment complex to strengthen the competitiveness by upgrading their company's image through differentiation of the qualities and satisfying the customer's needs. Many apartment complex have achieved temporary or real certification by green building certification system, but there weren't enough studies on how much residents are satisfied by their certified complex. In this study, we want to clarify the factors of resident's satisfaction level in certified environment friendly complex by comparing the social and economical characteristics of resident. For this study, we chose and compare 4 environment friendly apartment complex considered to be built by the best environmental way in metropolitan area, and 4 other apartment complex which are also considered to be similar in terms of the condition of location and period of stay.

실시간 검색을 위한 다중 사용자용 주기억장치 자료저장 시스템 개발 (Design and Implementation of a Main-memory Storage System for Real-time Retrievals)

  • 주기억장치 자료저장 시스템은 실시간 트랜젝션에 충분한 여유 시간을 부여하여 실시간 트랜잭션의 성능을 높혀준다. 이런 특성으로 인하여 주기억장치를 이용한 데이터관리 시스템들이 이동 통신 관리 시스템의 가입자 위치 관리와 같은 여유시간의 급박한 실시간 트랜잭션에 많이 활용되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 다중 사용자용 멀티쓰레드 방식의 실시간 검색시스템 개발의 일환으로 대량의 실시간 검색 트랜잭션과 자료 변경 트랜잭션이 주기억장치 자료저장 시스템의 자료를 검색, 변경하는 환경에서 주기억장치 자료저장 시스템을 설계 구현하였다. 구현된 시스템은 기존의 디스크 데이터베이스 시스템과 상호 보완적인 형태로 사용되는 내장형 방식으로 다중 쓰레드 방식으로 동작되며, 동시성 제어는 주기억장치의 특성을 살려 복잡한 잠금방식이 아닌 래치를 사용한다. 주기억장치 자료저장 시스템에는 가장 최근의 데이터만을 저장하며, 동기화 기법으로는 디스크 데이터베이스 시스템에서 변경 트랜잭션이 발생하는 경우에 구현 시스템의 데이터를 갱신하는 방법을 사용한다. 시스템은 검색 및 변경 쓰레드의 비율을 제한하여 실시간 검색의 최소성능을 보장할 수 있게 하였다.

상황정보 기반의 다중 거주자 위치 추적 서비스에 관한 연구 (Study of Multi-Resident Location Tracking Service Model Based on Context Information)

  • 최근, 유비쿼터스 기술의 발전으로 인하여 헬스케어 연구가 활발하게 진행되고 있다. 특히, 헬스케어 서비스 영역은 독거노인 또는 환자를 위해 병원에서 가정으로 변화하고 있다. 홈에서 거주자를 식별하는 기술은 스마트 홈 응용 서비스에 매우 중요하다. 그러나, 기존의 거주자 식별연구들은 여러 문제점을 갖고 있다. 몸에 다양한 센서를 부착해야 하며, 개인 프라이버시와 관련되어 거주자 환경에 적용하는데 문제점들이 따르고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제점들을 해결하기 위해 무구속, 무자각을 지향하는 센서들의 사용과 저비용으로 시스템을 구현하기 위한 방법으로써 실내 환경 및 센서의 사용을 제한하였다. 이렇게 제한된 센서들만을 이용하여 거주자를 식별하기 위한 방법으로 개인을 식별할 수 있는 요소들을 추출하고 이러한 요소들을 시스템에 적용하기 위해 가중치를 부여하는 방법을 이용하였다. 그리고 거주자를 식별하고 위치를 추적하기 위한 SABA 메커니즘을 설계하였다. SABA 메커니즘은 각 공간별로 배치된 센서들을 통해 거주자를 식별하고 거주자의 행위에 의해 발생한 이전 이벤트들의 기록들을 활용하여 최종적으로 거주자를 식별하여 개별 거주자의 위치를 추적한다. 그리고 본 위치 추적 시스템의 수행성을 검증하기 위해 구현한 응용에 설계된 메커니즘을 적용하고 시나리오를 통해 위치 추적 시스템의 성능을 검증하였다.
