A Study on the Using Behavior of Educational and Cultural Community Facilities in Apartment Housing (공동주택 주민교육문화시설 이용행태에 관한 연구)

  • The trend toward more welfare living because of more leisure time has influenced the popularity of the community facilities in apartment housing. According to the residents' increasing interests for well-being life the changes and developments of the community facilities have been required in these days. The purpose of this research is to study these required changes and developments by analyzing the resident's using behavior of community facilities in apartment housing focusing on the educational and cultural facilities. For this purpose, this research intends to examine the existing conditions and problems of educational and cultural community facilities in apartment housing and to analyze the residents' using patterns such as frequency, preference and to comprehend the additional needs and requirements of the residents. The conclusions and suggestions of this research can be a basic data for the architects to design a resident-oriented educational and cultural community facilities.

  • Recently, the problem controlling lateral drift is important in tall buildings for improvement in economic efficiency and habitability. But, the Outrigger System, general used for tall building in Korea, has weak points with the occupancy of special space and the long duration of works. The dampers are applied to actively control building's response by earthquake and wind load in these days. Accordingly, we analyze the effect of the drift control using various dampers to substitute for the Outrigger System as the efficient system in tall buildings.

  • The Purpose of this study was firstly to identify the living characteristics of apartment residents in relation to the behavioral patterns in the kitchen and utility space and secondly to present the basic material necessary for planning the kitchen and utility space of future desirable apartments with consideration for resident usage. The findings are summarized as follows : 1) Behavioral patterns in the kitchen and utility space were classified as personal life, family with harmony, talking with visitors, caring for children, cleaning, cooking, and keeping and connecting. 2) Behavioral patterns in He kitchen and utility space showed patterns on personal life, family with harmony, and talking with visitors and were used in the kitchen including the dining room. 3) As the required kitchen size and sink arrangement varied according to the kinds of furniture appliance, plan for the kitchen wok is very necessary.

  • Until now, to solve the problem, the lack of memory at TDX-10A ESS (Electronic Switching System), we have extended only main memory of the systems. However, this method is useful for only Transitcall Processing Subsystems and, it is not an effective way that is able to apply to all Subsystems of ESS because of the financial aspect. In this paper, we will introduce a new method which uses Non-Resident Program. This method utilizes main memory more effectively. We will also analyze the effectiveness resulting from test of new method applied to TDX-10A ESS.

The Planning Directions corresponding to Satisfaction of Residents on Housing Environment in Rural Munhwa-Mauel (거주자의 만족도에 근거한 농촌 문화마을의 계획방향)

  • The objective of this dissertation is to provide appropriate planning guidelines making on Munwha-Mauel. This study carries out the investigation on rural housing environment conditions and conducts the subjective evaluation by residents about the conditions. Both a field survey and a questionnaire survey are used for the study. The evaluation of housing environment are based on safety, health, efficiency, amenity, and local community. The concepts suggested by WHO are adjusted for the study. Eight villages were selected comprising of two newly built, four expanded, and two renovated. As a results of this study, residents´ satisfaction about the housing environment is categorized by the village type, whether a resident works on agriculture, and the residential backgrounds The results show evident differences. Important variables which affect the overall satisfaction are the interactions among the residents, the living convenience. Planning guidelines on Munwha-Mauel are suggested to based on the results.

Study on the Selection of Suitable Resident for C.B.D. Living by Using the Logit Model -The Case of Taegu City- (로짓 模型을 利用한 都心居住의 適住者 選定에 관한 硏究 - 大邱市를 中心으로 -)

  • This study is for the development of C.B.D. residential land that is available in the changeable housing market and urban planning paradigm. The results are as follows. First, we developed a Logit model to analyzed the suitable resident for living downtown and we used several variables in the model such as their living place, the location of their works, in come according to sex and age, and whether they have a car or not. Second, in analysis for the suitable residents using the Logit model, the main demanders who live in C.B.D. or have a job there and the young and old were chosen, Third, it shows that the suitable residents prefer semi-C.B.D. because it has convenient accessibility to C.B.D. rater quickly (in ten minutes). They prefer apartment and Mixed-Use building. Fourth, there are much residential land in semi-C.B.D. (63.7%) so as to support enough land in ease of redevelopment. The land price is tremendously low compared to that of land for business or for C.B.D.
