This study investigates the effectiveness of foreign language learning through diverse treatments in virtual settings, particularly by differentiating virtual environments with three textual enhancement techniques. A 2 × 3 mixed-factorial design was used, treating virtual environments as within-subject factors and textual enhancement techniques as between-subject factors. Participants experienced two videos, each in different virtual learning environments with one of the random textual enhancement techniques. The results showed that the interaction between different virtual environments and textual enhancement techniques had a statistically significant impact on presence among groups. In examining main effects of virtual environments, significant differences were observed in flow and attitude toward pre-post learning. Also, main effects of textual enhancements notably influenced flow, intention to use, learning satisfaction, and learning confidence. This study highlights the potential of Metaverse in foreign language learning, suggesting that learner experiences and effects vary with different virtual environments.

Although the Paris Agreement in 2015 aimed to limit global temperature increases to below 2℃ and eventually to 1.5℃ to address the climate crisis, global temperature continues to rise. Developed countries have proposed a circular economy as a major strategy to tackle this issue. Detailed implementation methods include reusing, remanufacturing, recycling, and energy recovery. Remanufacturing has a greater potential to achieve high added value and carbon neutrality than other resource circulation methods. However, currently, no standardized method for quantitatively evaluating the greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction effects of remanufacturing exists. This study compares and analyzes recent research trends since 2020 on the calculation of GHG emission reduction effects from remanufacturing. It also examines international standards for environmental impact assessment, including GHGs and environmental performance labeling systems. This study derives the key factors for standardizing the calculation of the GHG emission reduction effects of remanufactured products.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of merchants' perceptions of service quality, youth mall creation, and traditional market revitalization on management performance to derive factors that can improve the self-sustainability of the traditional market. In particular, it was intended to predict the practical effect of the youth mall creation project by including merchants' perceptions of the rapidly emerging youth mall to revitalize the traditional market. In this study, 430 small business owners from five private traditional markets in Iksan were surveyed, the research model was verified by analyzing the technical statistics, reliability, and validity of the data collected using the SPSS 21.0 program, and the hypothesis was verified through correlation and regression analysis. Although youth malls are actively promoted at the government level to revitalize traditional markets and improve management performance, this study confirmed that the creation of youth malls in traditional markets does not directly affect traditional market revitalization and management performance, confirming that policies to create youth malls that can actually help revitalize traditional markets and improve management performance in the future need to be promoted.
This study undertook an empirical analysis to examine the impact of various factors on entrepreneurial intention among young people, with a particular focus on the role of startup mentoring. Employing a survey distributed nationwide, data from 250 valid respondents were subjected to structural equation modeling to investigate these dynamics. The analysis uncovered that workplace stress, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control positively influence the entrepreneurial intentions of youth. Meanwhile, technological constraints negatively affected these intentions. The study did not explore the potential effects of future uncertainty and the burden of failure. Significantly, it was found that startup mentoring plays a crucial role in mitigating the negative impacts that may deter young individuals from pursuing entrepreneurship. Mentoring was instrumental in reducing negative influences, thereby fostering a more conducive environment for entrepreneurial ambition. By integrating the Push-Pull-Mooring (PPM) and Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) models, this research not only validates these frameworks within the context of youth entrepreneurship but also underscores the essential function of startup mentoring in enhancing entrepreneurial intentions. The insights from this study highlight the importance of mentoring programs in nurturing the entrepreneurial spirit among the youth, suggesting that targeted mentoring support can play a pivotal role in overcoming barriers to entrepreneurship.
While discussions on ESG are actively taking place in Europe and other countries, the number of countries pushing for mandatory ESG information disclosure related to non-financial information of listed companies is rapidly increasing. However, as companies respond to mandatory global ESG information disclosure, problems are emerging such as the stringent requirements of global ESG disclosure standards, the complexity of data management, and a lack of understanding and preparation of the ESG system itself. In addition, it requires a reasonable analysis of how business management opportunities and risk factors due to climate change affect the company's financial impact, so it is expected to be quite difficult to analyze the results that meet the disclosure standards. In order to perform tasks such as ESG management activities and information disclosure, data of various types and sources is required and management through an information system is necessary to measure this transparently, collect it without error, and manage it without omission. Therefore, in this study, we designed an ESG data integrated management model to integrate and manage various related indicators and data in order to transparently and efficiently convey the company's ESG activities to various stakeholders through ESG information disclosure. A framework for implementing an information system to handle management was developed. These research results can help companies facing difficulties in ESG disclosure at a practical level to efficiently manage ESG information disclosure. In addition, the presentation of an integrated data management model through analysis of the ESG disclosure work process and the development of an information system to support ESG information disclosure were significant in the academic aspects needed to study ESG in the future.

This study was a descriptive research study targeting medical students to determine the impact of self-directed learning ability, self-regulated learning, and communication ability on self-efficacy in performing medical treatment. This study randomly selected medical students from Region J, located in Province G, as the approximate population, and a total of 125 copies were finally analyzed. Descriptive statistics were analyzed using t-test, ANOVA, correlation, and multiple regression analysis using IBM SPSS/25. Self-efficacy in performing medical treatment was related to self-directed learning ability (r=.61, p<.001), self-regulated learning (r=.50, p<.001), and communication ability (r=.33, p<.001). There was a positive correlation with all of them. As a result of analyzing the variables that affect the subject's self-efficacy in performing medical treatment using hierarchical multiple regression, self-directed learning ability was found to be the factor that best predicts self-efficacy in performing medical treatment, followed by self-regulated learning and communication ability. The total explanatory power was 46.6%. Acquiring specialized knowledge and becoming a doctor after graduation through clinical practice and acquiring the basic clinical practice skills necessary to successfully perform one's duties are important tasks that medical students must accomplish. Therefore, in order to improve medical students' self-efficacy in performing medical treatment, the importance of improving health care, major satisfaction, and life satisfaction must be recognized and managed. In addition, efforts to develop programs and improve systematic systems that can improve self-directed learning, self-regulated learning, and communication skills should also be supported.
The fundamental period of vibration is one of the most critical parameters in the analysis and design of structures, as it depends on the distribution of stiffness and mass within the structure. Therefore, building codes propose empirical equations based on the observed periods of actual buildings during seismic events and ambient vibration tests. However, despite the fact that infill walls increase the stiffness and mass of the structure, causing significant changes in the fundamental period, most of these equations do not account for the presence of infills walls in the structure. Typically, these equations are dependent on both the structural system type and building height. The different values between the empirical and analytical periods are due to the elimination of non-structural effects in the analytical methods. Therefore, the presence of non-structural elements, such as infill panels, should be carefully considered. Another critical factor influencing the fundamental period is the effect of Soil-Structure Interaction (SSI). Most seismic building design codes generally consider SSI to be beneficial to the structural system under seismic loading, as it increases the fundamental period and leads to higher damping of the system. Recent case studies and postseismic observations suggest that SSI can have detrimental effects, and neglecting its impact could lead to unsafe design, especially for structures located on soft soil. The current research focuses on investigating the effect of infill panels on the fundamental period of moment-resisting and eccentrically braced steel frames while considering the influence of soil-structure interaction. To achieve this, the effects of building height, infill wall stiffness, infill openings and soil structure interactions were studied using 3, 6, 9, 12, 15 and 18-story 3-D frames. These frames were modeled and analyzed using SeismoStruct software. The calculated values of the fundamental period were then compared with those obtained from the proposed equation in the seismic code. The results indicate that changing the number of stories and the soil type significantly affects the fundamental period of structures. Moreover, as the percentage of infill openings increases, the fundamental period of the structure increases almost linearly. Additionally, soil-structure interaction strongly affects the fundamental periods of structures, especially for more flexible soils. This effect is more pronounced when the infill wall stiffness is higher. In conclusion, new equations are proposed for predicting the fundamental periods of Moment Resisting Frame (MRF) and Eccentrically Braced Frame (EBF) buildings. These equations are functions of various parameters, including building height, modulus of elasticity, infill wall thickness, infill wall percentage, and soil types.

In this paper, we introduce the concept of the cube satellite Chungnam National University Laser Unity Bus (CLUB), which can provide an integrated infrastructure for various ground-space laser applications. With the advent of the new space era, the rapid expansion of space utilization has begun to reveal the limitations of conventional radio frequencies. As space missions diversify, lasers are garnering attention as a viable alternative. Between ground and space, lasers are applied in various fields including satellite laser ranging (SLR), laser weapons, and laser communication. However, laser used between the ground and space are significantly influenced by the Earth's atmosphere. Consequently, understanding the atmospheric effects on laser propagation is crucial. In particular, atmospheric turbulence, which refracts and distorts laser beams, intensifies closer to the Earth's surface, exerting a greater impact on the uplink than on the downlink. While downlink verification is facilitated by ground detection, verifying the uplink poses challenges due to the necessity of space-based detection. In response to these challenges, we propose the idea of cube satellite as a means to enhance understanding and verification of laser propagation in the uplink. Additionally, we present the results of conceptual design by analyzing requirements, focusing on mission design of the CLUB cube satellite, following the stages of systems engineering for systematic cube satellite development.

This study aims to identify the factors that affect customer satisfaction as the market growth of rental subscription services for living environment home appliances increases. Unlike previous research, which focused on online subscriptions (e.g., digital content, over-the-top (OTT) services, e-books, and mobile devices), this study expands the scope to include rental subscriptions for household environmental appliances. Specifically, this study analyzes the factors influencing customer satisfaction among rental subscription service users by examining the effects of perceived usefulness, reliability, and convenience. The results show that users' perceived reliability and convenience of rental subscription services for living environment home appliances significantly affect customer satisfaction. Perceived usefulness, however, was not found to have a significant impact, as it is an abstract and subjective customer aspect. The implications of the results are as follows: First, standardized services must be strengthened to increase the reliability of rental subscription services. Additionally, it is necessary to improve convenience by developing additional services when managing regular visits tailored to the characteristics of each product. Providing customized services by integrating products and Information and Communications Technologies (ICT). Furthermore, effective customer management to increase customer satisfaction is crucial, as it can lead to cross-selling and up-selling opportunities. Lastly, venture start-ups should actively apply a subscription service business model.
